picture Plates 300 and Exhibition Catalogues 690. 795 books added and 33337 reading materials consulted
during the year. Seating facility provided for 100 readers (Approx), Budget Rs 20 Lakhs for Books Journal
Grants under 12th Plan. Library has covered under INFLIBNET Programme for the computerization and
networking. Library got membership of DELNET from this session, which provides access to selected
international full-text journals from various elds, including Arts. It provides access to more than two crore
catalogue records of books, journals articles etc. Databases are created for books, esis and Audio-visual
Materials. University Library also the Knowledge Centre of the University has stocks of more than 43000
books which also include brail books, 2400+ back volumes of research journals, more than 300 esis and

Established in the year 1956, the Department of Kathak is one of the oldest Department of the

1. University will not allow any such student for admission, whose conduct is not conducive to the
traditionsandacademicenvironmentoftheUniversity.

5. In Semester Examination, back paper/paper back cases will be addressed as per the Unviersity Rules
Regulations.
6. If a candidate fails to complete any course as per the prescribed tenure and exceeds the upper age
limit, then in such case the respective candidate will not be allowed to take admission as regular

HostelRules
1. Universityhasseparatehostelsforboysandgirlswithinthecampus.Bothhavetheirseparatemess.

3. HostelfacilityisnotavailableforDiplomastudents.
4. Students can utilize the available basic facilities provided by the University. University is not bound
toprovideextrafacilities.
5. Duringthebeginningoftheacademicsession,hostellersarerequiredtodeposithostelchargesofone
academicsessioninadvance.
6. Students have to enclose a medical tness certi cate from a Civil Surgeon/ Registered Medical
Practitionerbeforeadmissioninhostel.
7. At the beginning of the session, University will be providing the electrical appliances like bulbs and
tube-lights only once at the beginning of the session. Without permission, using any extra
electrical/electronic gadgets in the Hostel is an offence for which a ne of Rs. 500.00 may be levied
onthespottotheconcernedstudent.
8. On the recommendation of the Registered Medical Practitioner, University reserves all the right to
expelanyhostellersufferingfromanycontagiousdiseaseorotherwise.

Examination
1. Students must have at least 75% (Seventy Five Percent) a endance in the concerned course, failing
of which the concern student shall be barred from appearing in the examination. Under special
circumstance and upon the recommendation of the Head of the Department, the Vice-Chancellor
mayallowmaximumrelaxationof15%(Fi eenPercent)ontheabove.
2. With the special permission of the Vice-Chancellor and on payment of the prescribed examination
fees, examination forms of Regular or Private candidates may be accepted before 45 days from the
commencementoftheconcernedexamination.
3. e application for revaluation must reach the university within 30 days from the receipt of the
marksheeta erdeclarationofresult.
4. Noforeign/NRIstudentisallowedtoappearinanyexaminationasanexternal/privatecandidate.
5. Withoutobtaining prior permission from this university, if any foreign/NRI student is foundto have
appeared in any other examination, from an institution which is not associated with I.K.S.V. then in

examination fees and hostel room rents (Please see regulation no. XXIV). However, refundable
cautionmoneyhastobedepositedbytheconcernstudent.
6. Differently able students (other than visually impaired) of Chha isgarh are exempted from
Examinationfeesonly.
7. Aspertheuniversityrules, visuallyimpairedstudents areprovidedwithwriterandextratimeduring

8. A er ge ing the regular admission, Student must submit the library membership application form
for availing Library facility of the University. On the basis of the application form, library
