2. Background / Purpose
• Drones, or unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), is an aircraft without a human pilot
aboard (Wikipedia)
• This emerging technology opens business and commercial opportunities in
hobby and recreation, surveying, and photography and motion picture making.
• Recognizing this potential, the MM-IT Section 2 of the AGSB, sought to
organize a Drone Technology Forum to educate the academe and guests on
the business and commercial uses of drone technology

3. Project Objectives
• Learn how drone technology works and what its
capabilities, limitations, and risks are
• To understand the regulatory side of drone use, its
registration requirements, and corresponding fees and
penalties for violations of these regulations
• Engage guests in the various uses of drones in business
and commercial industries
