This document summarizes a drone technology forum organized by the MM-IT Section 2 of the AGSB. The forum had the following objectives: to educate attendees on how drone technology works, its capabilities and limitations; understand regulatory requirements for drone use; and explore business/commercial uses of drones. It obtained PHP 50,000 in sponsorships. Expenses totaled PHP 42,281, leaving a balance of PHP 7,719. A post-event survey found that presenters were highly rated as knowledgeable, well-prepared, engaging, and provided new information. The forum itself was found to have clear purpose and be useful, well-organized and satisfying overall. Lessons learned were also documented.

• Drones, or unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), is an aircraft without a human pilot
aboard (Wikipedia)
• This emerging technology opens business and commercial opportunities in
hobby and recreation, surveying, and photography and motion picture making.
• Recognizing this potential, the MM-IT Section 2 of the AGSB, sought to
organize a Drone Technology Forum to educate the academe and guests on
the business and commercial uses of drone technology
