 Zoo is a place where animals are
kept behind enclosures.
 Main purpose of zoo is:
 For Education
 For Conservation
 For Recreation
 For Research
 It was opened in 1877.
 Jaipur Zoo! Set in the lush green Ram
Niwas Gardens, the Zoo is a complete
treat for kids and adults alike.
 It encircles a vast area of about 33
acres, & is placed at the core Jaipur
city.
 It is a Govt. Organisation and
authorised by Rajasthan Forest
Department.
The Jaipur zoo is open for public
all over the week not including
Tuesdays
 8:30 am – 5:30 pm throughout
summer.
 9 am – 5 p.m. throughout
winter.
 The Jaipur zoo is chiefly categorized into 2
parts.
1. the animal zoo
2. the other one is the bird zoo.
 Apart from Sāmbhar deer and Spotted deer,
we can also see tigers, panthers and leopards
in the zoo!
 The zoo also has a separate section where we
can see various kinds of migratory birds,
depending on the season of our visit.
 Along with all this, the place also has a
unique crocodile breeding farm, which is
one of the best in the country.
 Indian Wolf, White Stork,
Hamadryads Baboon, Sika Deer,
Himalayan Black bear
 Panther/Leopard, Black Buck,
Panther Pardus, Indian Python,
Grey Jungle fowl
 Long Build Vulture, Indian Pied
Hornbill.
