Music Piracy Essay
Crafting an essay on the subject of music piracy can be both challenging and thought-provoking.
The difficulty lies not only in presenting well-researched information but also in navigating the
ethical and legal implications surrounding the topic. Addressing the multifaceted nature of music
piracy requires a comprehensive understanding of copyright laws, technological advancements,
and the evolving landscape of the music industry.
To tackle this essay effectively, one must delve into the historical context of music piracy,
examining its roots and tracing its evolution alongside the rise of digital technology. Analyzing
the impact of piracy on artists, record labels, and consumers adds another layer of complexity, as
it involves considering both economic and artistic perspectives.
Furthermore, exploring the various arguments for and against music piracy demands a nuanced
approach. Balancing the rights of artists to fair compensation with the accessibility and
democratization of music in the digital age requires a delicate touch. Additionally, understanding
the role of technology in facilitating piracy and the measures taken to combat it adds another
layer of intricacy to the essay.
In conclusion, writing an essay on music piracy requires the ability to navigate through legal,
ethical, and technological aspects, while also acknowledging the perspectives of various
stakeholders in the music industry. It demands a careful examination of historical context,
current trends, and future implications. Successfully presenting a well-rounded and insightful
analysis of this topic is undoubtedly a challenging but rewarding endeavor.

The Modern Day Legal Systems
Human civilization marked the beginning of modern day legal systems. The
advancements in societies resulted in maintaining certain rules and regulations to
continue this progress. Every society has its own set of laws which are in some
ways distinct from others. Many of these laws have common sections and
underlying guidelines. This could be because some societies decide to retain
certain aspects of their customs after breaking out of another society. It could also
be the case that over time different societies through trade and other intercultural
activities developed together, which caused them to have agreements in their laws.
For many others, it is the case that they share a common colonial master. The law
and legal systems operating today are derivatives of the forms listed above. Like
many other nations today, the laws of ancient civilizations have affected Canadian
law. These include the Code of Hammurabi, the Mosaic law, Greek and Roman
laws, the Magna Carta and a few others. More recently are the civil and common law
derived from the French and British respectively. Canadadid not always have a
written constitution. The territory we now refer to as Canada was once populated by
the French and English colonial masters. These colonists extended the laws of their
home countries to their colonies. As the population of this territory grew and the UK
gained control of more colonies including those from the French, regional laws
became a necessity. Between the eighteenth
Describe The Differences Between Isabel And Josef
Imagine having to leave your country at the age of only 12 year old. This is what
the people in this book and many people in real life. In Isabel s story she is
escaping Cuba during 1994 as the Cuban exodus is taking place. She is escaping
on a boat made of scrap metal and was put together in secret. Josef is on a ship and
is escaping Germany in secret on the S.S St. Lewis after their father is taken to a
concentration camp and when released was told to leave the country. There are
many similarities between Isabel and Josef and one of these differences is that they
both are escaping from their home to a safer country. In Isabel s case it is from
Cuba and they are escaping from the horrible economy and a horrible government.
Josef is escaping... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One of these differences is the amount of risk of them leaving their home. Isabel is
doing something extremely dangerous by using a boat that was barely working
and was made at home out of scrap metal. She also had no food other than the food
she brought Josef on the other hand was taking a cruise ship with captains and
crew to guard them. He also had food supplied to him without him doing any work.
Another difference is who they are travelling with. For Isabel it is how she is
traveling with a friend, his parents and both of her parents. Josef is however only
traveling with his younger sister and after being forced to leave his father in the
Cuban hospital is now only traveling with his mom and sister. Josef also never
became friends with anyone on the ship and there was no one who was the same
age as him so he has near no chance to have anyone to talk to or befriend. One last
difference between them is where they are coming from and going to. Isabel is
coming from Cuba and is traveling to Miami without stopping anywhere but
accidentally stops in the Bahamas. In Josef s case they are leaving Germany and
are heading to Cuba. They are not allowed to dock in cuba and are later not allowed
in the USA. It has not yet told us but I know from history that the MS St. Louis does
not dock at any other countries and is forced to return to

ВґВґThe Marble ChampВґВґ
Life is hard. Everybody comes across a hard time in their lives where they have to
work for their goals. Some people just give up, but if you keep going your hard work
can pay off in the long run. The story, ВґВґThe Marble Champ,ВґВґ by Gary Soto,
Lupe, the protagonist, learns that hard work pays off. Lupe is a shy girl and a
straight A student, but she is no good at sports. When she finds a sport (marbles)
she could maybe be good at, she never gave up in her hard work to achieve her goal.
Lupe also experienced feeling good about herself. After practicing and lots of hard
work things also got easier for her. Lupe was glad that she achieved all of these things
because of her hard work.
The first reason why hard work pays off is, because it helps you achieve your goals.
To begin with, in the story ВґВґThe Marble ChampВґВґ Lupe achieves her goals of
winning the marbles championship by practice and hard work. ВґВґShe squeezed a
rubber eraser one hundred times hoping it would strengthen her thumb.ВґВґ So, her
practice and hard work leaded Lupe into ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The story ВґВґThe Marble ChampВґВґ shows this because when Lupe was in the
marbles competition it says everybody was easy to beat because she had practiced
so hard. Furthermore, after the first time Lupe practiced it got easier every
time.ВґВґPractice, practice, practice, squeeze, squeeze, squeeze. Lupe got
better...ВґВґ This evidence shows, that after hard work things can get easier as you
go along. I think Lupe realized this after she played at the marbles championship
because everybody she played against was easily beat for her. And she realized this
after she beat Alfonso, the neighborhood champ, she also realized that things can
get easier after she practiced a few days and she got better and better. Therefore,
marbles got easier for her every time she did it. She learned that her hard work payed
Water Contamination
To develop a better understanding of water contamination, a field comparison
between two separate water sources was conducted. The first water sample was
gathered from the Simmons Park Pond and the second from a NES water fountain.
The data gathered from this experiment was used to answer several questions
regarding the prevalence of contamination in nearby water sources. The field analysis
ultimately concluded what contaminants had the greatest prevalence, thereby
exemplifying the defining differences between the two water sources. Before
conducting the analysis, it was hypothesized that the NES water fountain would yield
a sample of higher quality than the one retrieved from the Simmons Park Pond.
Ultimately, the data collected sustained... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This study concentrated specifically on eight potential indicators of poor water
quality, including color, turbidity, chloride, total hardness iron, phosphate, nitrate,
and pH. Of these parameters, nitrate is the only MCL substance, the remaining
seven are considered SMCL s, and were measured strictly for aesthetic purposes.
The composition of two water samples, yielding from sources of different
regulation, was studied to develop a better understanding of contamination
prevalence. The first sample was collected from a drinking water fountain found
inside the Natural and Environmental Sciences (NES) building. This water is
treated and cleaned after being extracted from the Floridian Aquifer. The second
was taken from the edge of a pond in Simmons Park, found on campus. This water
source intercepts significant surface runoff and works as a retention basin for the
surrounding area. Before conducting the experiment, it was expected that the NES
water fountain would provide a sample more in compliance to the MCL and SMCL
standards set by the EPA when compared to the Simmons Park Pond water. It is
likely that the color and turbidity of the pond water will yield higher measurements
than the NES drinking water. This was predicted to be the result, as the NES
drinking water comes from a source of
A Short Note On The Battle Of Thermopylae
The battle of Thermopylae in year 480 BCE was a major part in the Greek victory
of the Graeco persian wars and for the battle of Greece as an independent nation
leading to the Greek golden age and Hellenism forever changing the western world
and its culture. (Frye)The start of the Graeco Persian hostilities can be traced back
to 499 BCE at the beginning of the Ionian revolt when Ionian Greeks revolted
against their Persian leaders in a bloody civil war that lasted over seven years. The
most significant event that would eventually lead to further hostilities was when
the city states of mainland Greece mostly Athens started to support the Greek
rebels both financially and militarily. Even with the help of mainland Greece the
rebellion was crushed by Darius the great and the rest of the Persian Empire
allowing it to become whole once again. But unfortunately this would not stop
hostilities between these two nations for Darius wanted revenge on Greece most
notably the city of Athens for supporting the Ionians during the revolt. But it wasn
t all about revenge the Ionian revolt severely threatened Darius s Empire and
Darius saw that mainland Greece would continually cause turmoil in this region of
his empire unless they were dealt with thus leading to the first Persian invasion of
Greece and The Greco Persian wars. The first invasion of Greece by Darius would
not be as successful as he hoped as he was able to destroy the city of Eretria which
was one of the city states that had
Existence Of God Research Paper
SPECIFIC PURPOSE: To persuade my audience to believe the probable existence of
God.
ATTENTION GETTER: A new Harris Poll finds that a strong majority (74%) of
Americans believe in God.
RELEVANCE: I believe God s existence is relevant to all demographics of people,
because God applies to all beliefs, races, cultures, etc.
CREDIBILITY: Along with my extensive research on this, I am also a confirmed
Roman Catholic, which may make me a bit biased but nonetheless I have been had
plenty of resources throughout my 18 years to determine whether or not there is a God
.
CENTRAL IDEA: God s existence can be determined by 3 different arguments,
including the Cosmological argument, the Teleological argument, and the Moral Law
argument.
TRANSITION: However, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This argument is basically a cause and effect argument. It goes like this: the world
could not have just existed by itself so there must have been something that brought
the world into existence. The first cause is God.
In other words, the universe did not just magically appear from nothing because God
created it.
TRANSITION: My next argument is called the Teleological argument.
MAINPOINT2: Otherwise known as the design argument.
The basic idea of this argument is that there is too much intricate detail in the
universe for it to not have a creator.
According to the City University of New York, William Paley, a theist, had a famous
argument called the watch argument. It goes by this: a watch has many complex
parts in order to keep time, too complex to be made randomly, thus it must have a
creator. This is like the universe.
TRANSITION: My third and final argument is called the Moral Law argument.
MAINPOINT3: The Moral Law argument differs from the other two arguments
because it has nothing to do with the natural world.
The Moral Law basically says that all humans have morals because there is a

Impact Of Mexican Cuisine On National Identity
The Impact of Mexican Cuisine on National Identity Authentic, traditional
Mexican food is thought to be a product that was developed by the Mayan Indians.
Food was first hunted and gathered so that it was then cooked on ceramic pots or
iron skillets over open fires. This ritual was fundamental for the natives. They
needed to obtain their food and prepare it in this way so that they could eat. This
exemplifies the idea that the preparation of food is not only symbolic of having a
meal to eat, but also of nature being transformed into culture. Additionally, everyone
has a deep personal connection with the simple act of eating because what one
person prefers to eat might be different for another individual. As individuals, we are
each born into a culture that most likely has a cuisine different from what others
prefer or are accustomed to. All of our palates are distinctly unique. To provide an
example of the aforementioned, the Spanish invaded Mexicoin the 16th century, and
they brought along with them their own kinds of foods, with wheat holding a
particular importance. The Spaniards made attempts so that Mexicans too would
have the same liking to wheat as they did, but the reality was that Mexico had a
strong attachment to corn. And while the introduction of wheat caused corn to be
thought of as nutrient deficient, Porfirian intellectual elites later found that their
maize was as equally healthy. Food matters, especially in the context of Mexico. It

Linguistic Impact Essay
Linguistic Impact In the field of Modern Languages and Linguistics, words are of
great importance. A language s phonology (study of how sounds are organized and
used), morphology (study of the form and structure of words), syntax (study of the
rules that govern sentence structure), semantics (study of meaning of words,
sentences, and expressions), pragmatics (study of aspects of meaning and language
use and context), and phonetics (study of human speech sounds) all play an
important part in everyday life. These have a major impact in understanding the
intent of what is spoken or heard. Due to the importance of communication, literary

They have migrated from a variety of different countries and all have brought their
distinct ideologies, beliefs and cultures. Through the study of aspects of their
language and literature much can be learned about the people. Hispanic identity
and culture are connected with their language and literature therefore metaphors
are meaningful. Due to the diversity of the Hispanic culture, some metaphors have
varying points of origin although the meanings are the same. There is, for
instance, the saying, De tal palo, tal astilla ; which literally means from such a
stick such a splinter (Cuentos y dichos) . Its actual meaning is like father like son
or a chip off the old block. Although it is of Mexican origin, it has been widely used
throughout Latin America and is familiar to most Spanish speakers. Another
common metaphor is Estar hasta el gorro. It literally means to be up to the hat. The
English translation is to be fed up (with) (Larousse Dictionary). It is so widely used
that no particular place of origin is given. Most Spanish metaphors were created
based on the work, activities or images common to that particular country. For
example, the population in the Dominican Republic contains a racial mixture of
Black, White and Mestizo (mixed Spanish and Indian ancestry). A common metaphor
used by Dominicans is Cabello muerto. Its literal meaning is Dead Head. But, the
actual meaning is a person with
Observation For A Childschool
For my Observation I visited my daughters school at Cuesta children center on
Cuesta campus. Yes, we have been attending for about a year but I wanted insure
myself that I have chosen the best qualified school for my daughter. When i arrived
the class was so engaging with all different activities to engage the toddlers. With
physical, emotional/social, age appropriate toys, and the best outside playarea.
Of course the first observation I make is this a safe environment. I clean disinfected
tables, light/sockets covered, paint that were non toxic up high, cleaning supplies
up high, floors swept, and vacuumed. The child ratio at these times was on the
higher end maybe because at beginning and end of days so a little overlap. The fire
and disaster plans posted on wall, with a backpack filled with students emergency
cards and basic first aid needs. All toys were placed in bins or tucked away in a safe
and presentable order. The outside had multiple opportunities for children to optimum
risk taking tasks, with traps, slides, play structures, age appropriate bikes, and
tumbling mats.
I also looked around to see how healthy is the environment. I observed that each
child washes hands when they enter the class and the diaper areas was wiped down
with disinfected after each diaper change with gloves used with poop, miniature
toilets and sinks for proper handwashing (after using bathroom, before meals) The
food was properly prepared (in a of site or in the kitchen) with

Analysis Of Sisterhood Is Complicated By Ruth Padawer
Every person deserves the right to experience a sense of community amongst people
who share a common characteristic. A sense of fellowship amongst similar people
allows a person to become more comfortable with who they are through interactions
with others who are going through or have gone through the same triumphs or
hardships. Without this feeling of belonging, one could be driven into insanity.
Anxiety due to isolation and desolation could run rampant through a person s mind
because of the loneliness that comes with a lack of communitymaking it an essential
part of a humanhood. By definition however, community invites inimitability.
Community can be defined as a group of unique individuals with shared

Lady Brett Essay examples
The Characterization of Lady Brett
In the novel by Ernest Hemingway, The Sun Also Rises, the character named Lady
Brett Ashley is assimilated in the words of another character, Mike, with the Greek
Goddess Circe. This Goddess is known in Homer s Odyssey for luring men with her
irresistible charms and transforming them into animals. If this myth was to partake in
reality, it would be without doubt represented in this novel. The majority of men in
the story are tormented and subject to Brett s physical and sexual assets. The first
characterization we get from her is one of a selfish, alcoholic, manipulative, sexual
and evil woman who emasculates her male partners. However, this superficial
characterization would ignore the principle ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

His coward actions in Spain are motivated by the desire to possess Brett, but all
men in this novel, except for Cohn himself, seem to have understood that she is
cannot be possessed. This leads to a complete self destructive and uncontrolled
anger which forces Cohn to leave Pamplona and be excluded from the group. It is
also pride and control over himself that Cohn has lost to Brett, a display of his loss of
masculinity. Finally, this perception of an emasculating woman can be pushed
further to one that is seen as a goddess. While in the fiesta in Pamplona, a group of
dancers, astonished by her beauty stop and dance around Brett, a scene that
resembles many dances of devotions to different gods : Brett want to dance but
they did not want want her to. They wanted her as an image to dance around. When
the song ended with the sharp riau riau! They rushed us into a wine shop (159).
Lady Brett ,also, is the representation of a post war woman. By the strength she
brings in this novel, breaking the pre war code of value and role of women, Brett
holds a position in this novel which traditional ,at the time, only men held. While
Jake is the narrator, it is clear that the main subject of interest is Brett. Her role as
the catalyst of the actions defines this central role and mirrors the renew of women
after the war. The participation of women in the war, having experienced the same
atrocities, gave many of them the claims that led to the first wave of feminism. Lady
Gastric Ulcer Research Paper
Gastric ulcers are a large problem now a days in the medical community. It has the
attention of all the core measure directors of every hospital in the country. That is
because a gastric ulcer is preventable in the hospital setting. Since the gastric ulcer is
considered preventable, new diagnosed ulcers, once being an inpatient, would not be
permitted to seek reimbursement for any care provided. You could see why it has
their attention.
In the past it was believed that gastric ulcers were caused by life style modifiable
risk factors. The biggest culprit now is Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori). H. Pyloris is a
bacterium commonly found in the gut. The bacteria breaks down the lining of the
stomach. Then the stomach acid further breaks down the lining which causes the
ulcer. This is the reason, unless contraindicated, most patient receives either a
Histamine 2 Receptor Antagonist or a proton pump inhibitor in the hospital. The GI
symptoms that are present with gastric ulcers would decrease the appetite of the
patient. Therefore the patient would encounter a digestion problem. ... Show more

The vessels inside the lining also break down causing the patient to bleed. Depending
where the ulcer is will the patient present with Hematemesis or Hematochezia.
Another complication could be perforation of the stomach. This allows gastric
contents to release into the sterile portion of the abdominal cavity. This could cause
a severe infection and often requires surgical repair. The third major complication
could be obstruction. Often if a ulcer presents in the narrow part of the distal
stomach, an obstruction can occur. That is because scar tissue grows back often
occluding the path of gastric contents. Surgical repair would also be necessary in this
Gods Vs Common People
In the beginning there was no death. Humans and gods lived in peace, the humans
supplying offerings and worship and the gods wisdom and aid in times of need.
There was no reason for either to stop existing. So they didn t. But as years past
questions began to rise among the common people. Why did the gods reside in the
heavens and they on earth? Why did these self proclaimed gods retain youth and the
common people grow old? What difference was there between two immortal beings?
These murmurs grew and so did the common people s egos. As it turns out being
able to peacefully co exist does not mean happiness.
In a village by the sea there was a girl of nineteen named Ase which meant god like.

Environmentalism in the UK:
A Look into the Environmental Strategies Incorporated at Marks and Spencer

Abstract
The following paper explores environmentally friendly strategies utilized in the UK
based multi million dollar corporation, Marks and Spencer. Marks and Spencer is a
food and retail corporation, with headquarters in London, England. The following
paper will analyze the effectiveness of utilizing environmentally friendly strategies
in a large corporation, such as M S, and how those strategies could be implemented
in a US based startup food and retail business, specifically located in central Florida.

Author and environmentalist Richard Welford asserts: There is a recognition that
the environmental crisis exists but a great deal of helplessness about what to do
about it (1997, p. x). Marks and Spencer (M S), founded in 1884, is a thriving,
sustainable, environmentally friendly retail and food company located in the United
Kingdom. Marks and Spencer adheres to a strategy by what they deem as Plan A...a
journey to make [their] business more sustainable ( Plan A Awards, 2016). The
London based company has won numerous awards due to the sustainability of Plan A,
such as Responsible Retailer of the Year by World Retail Awards and the Big Society

Examples Of Insecurity
Although I was born during a prospering era of the 1900s, full of innovations and
new ideas, my family, that had just migrated from China, continued to follow some
old beliefs. When I was a child, I had always remembered my mother telling me that
when she was giving birth to me my aunt was banging on the door trying to stop my
motherfrom giving birth to another daughter. My mother never got along with my
aunt, but I never questioned the how reliable what my mother had told me. Instead, I
told myself that my aunt did not like me and that I was an outsider or an extra in the
familysince I was already the third daughter my mom had.
This feeling of being unwanted along with the feeling of insecurity, caused by the
financial struggles my family, as the first generation, had while trying to start a life in
a completely different country, pressured my true personality. I began to talk less,
thinking that it would help take some burden off my parent s shoulders. These feelings
completely endowed my childhood. It was to a point that I had already forgotten
how to socialize with people and became extremely introverted that I started to
acknowledge what I was enduring. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Failures Of The Populist Party
At the end of the 19th century the United States were in a time called The Gilded
Age , coined by Mark Twain; a time of mass immigration, Western settlement, and
industrialization. Out of these times emerged a political party named the Populist
party, later changed to the People s party. This party stood for the working man, like
farmers and factory laborers. Though this party meant well, it did not last long.
Surviving until 1896, the Populist party eventually merged with the Democratic
party. With this being said, the Populist party was a short lived dream and failure.
The Populist party, as previously stated, stood for and supported the working class.
From farmers in the west to industrial workers in the east, the Populist party wanted...

This popularity was lost due to the fact that the Populist party s previously
mentioned progressive ideas, like 8 hour work days, senators elected by the people,
graduated income tax, etc., were not popular beliefs and wants in the late 19th century
. Though mostly aligned left like the Democratic party, these ideas held the party back
and led to most either choosing the Republicans or the Democrats. Eventually in 1896
part of the Populist party dissolved and fused with the Democratic party. The other
Populists decided to continue on as their own thing and not join the Democrats; they
lasted until 1908. After the fusion with the democrats, the Populists original
presidential nominee, William Jennings Bryan, flew a new flag; that of the democrats.
Unfortunately for the democrats and the Populists that joined them, Bryan lost the
election. Concerning the topic of the Populists failure, these events played a major
role in it because they weren t even the Populists anymore, they were democrats, and
those that chose to continue on under the title of the People s party didn t last much

The Disadvantages And Disadvantages Of Reading
I.Introduction
A.Background information
General Background: For a long time, it is known that reading is an inseparable part
of daily living for an educated person.
Specific Background: There are a large amount of articles that discusses the
advantages and disadvantages of reading. Some authors discuss the negative sides
of reading and literateness while others wrote the article which is about the positive
sides. One of those types of articles is Why our future depends on libraries, reading
and daydreaming by Neil Gaiman who is an outstanding English author of fictions,
novels, comic books, and so on.

appropriate for their interests. It will also help them to save their time.
Main idea/aspect # 2: Gaiman presents a strong argument about daydreaming that it
does not not matter, you are reader or writer, children or adult, everyone should
daydream.
A. Supporting idea #1: We have an obligation to imagine . It refers his claim

1.When people imagine, they can change everything over and over, from smaller to
bigger by daydreaming.
B. Supporting idea #2: People can make things different in order to improve
themselves.
1.Individuals make the future, and they do it by imagining that things can be
different . People may sit somewhere, and imagine something which is does not exist
in there. With this way, they can dream about their future.
Main idea/aspect # 3: Another powerful argument of Gaiman s article is that
importance of reading fictions.
A.Supporting idea #1: People improve their empathy by reading functions.
1.While reading a book, people create a person and a place in their mind. It helps to
use our creativity and imagination.

Divine Intervention By Elia Suleiman
Palestinian identity has lasted the test of time through exile, diaspora, and attempts at
cultural white washing. It is through these situations that Palestine has created a
unique sense of identity, unlike many nation states. The Palestinian identity has come
to transcend borders, nationality, and mediums. It is not only represented in politics
and protest, but in personal expression and the arts. This paper argues that both
national identity and cultural productions of Palestine represent the diaspora through
noticeable adaptation based on location and support the idea that Palestinian identity
isn t singularly definable. The first piece of evidence that I will analyze is the movie

One particularly interesting perspective is his opinion on how the conflict has
somewhat freed the identity of Palestinians from a shared land, and that for some
Palestinians that can escape the occupation, there is a the creation of a transnational,
transgressive life. (Suleiman, 2003, 73) Thus exists multiple outcomes from one
identity. He further supports this by commenting that Palestine does not have
borders, does not actually exist in the sense of geography, but it still has a sense of
space. The Palestinian people are this space, and the people are how we define what
is, and what is not Palestine. People are separated geographically, but defined by
identity and community, and this creates a unique sense of freedom outside of a
defined nation state. (Suleiman, 2000, 96) This lets the definition of this identity be
more fluid. He says that in his work he purposefully moves away from a centralized
view of Palestinian identity and uses cinema to present the differences in viewpoint,
perception, and narration that exist within this conflict. Not only between Israelis and
Palestinian s but between all Palestinian s. (Suleiman, 2000, 97) He purposefully
moves away from a singular form of Palestinian identity and states My films are
Palestinian because I am Palestinian. (Suleiman, 2000, 99) This movement from a

Virtual Games, Actual Loss In this morden world, videogame is a common topic for
debate. The network of information technology has been installed globally, which
leads to more and more games being created to satisfy human s entertainment demand.
The article on video games benefits, entitiled Be a Gamer, Save the World by Jane

which the world is facing. However, everything has it own merits and drawbacks.

Moreover, playing video games causes osteoarthritis the degeneration of the body s
joints and bones. When we spend time passively sitting on the screen for games,
we hardly move to relax our joints, which may bring about the sore in our necks,
shoulders and hips. Secondly, games narrow our opportunity to build relationships.
This is a strait which is difficult to be recognized. Contrary to McGonigal s article,
it is believed that video games can lead to many consequences in terms of our social
life. As McGonigal stated, Studies show that we like and trust someone better after
we play a game with them even if they beat us (221). This sentence may strengthen
her argument on how video games can benefit our social bonds. However, when
we become too involved into the unrealistic world of game, we have less time
socializing and making friends in the real world. Our concentration is completely
on the game we play and only the relationship we have in the game. Video games
offer an imaginary world, where we can make more new friends, but that quantity is
not considerable. Playing with them can help us entertain, but they may not be
important as our parents or your acquaintance the ones who are actually there for us
whenever we encounter troubles and need assistance. Maybe someday, we will lose
our spouse as we do not provide enough care for them due to the fact that we treasure

Red Scare Research Paper
The significance of these triads is the United State s post war fear towards
immigrants. The Red Scare was a postwar hysteria fed by labor strikes, bomb
scares, and the fear of Germans. During the time of race riots and labor strikes,
home made mail bombs being sent to the homes of popular or important people were
becoming a familiar fear to the public. The postal service attempted to intercept them
all, but a few bombs slipped through killing people and destroying houses. This
caused the fear of immigration to rapidly increase throughout the United States. In
June, 1919, Attorney General Mitchell Palmer, after having the front of his home

Algorithmic Game Theory Essay
In algorithmic game theory, it is easy to find the Nash equilibrium if one can derive
the default strategies of each player from the instructions/parameters of the algorithm.
It is also not particularly hard to find the optimal solution to an algorithm either. In
algorithmic mechanism design, it would be the goal of the algorithm designer to
fashion the algorithm in such a way that causes the Nash equilibriumto be the same as
the Pareto optimal (or at least close to optimal) result. This would mean that it would
be impossible to make any player better off in the game without hurting another
player at the same time (optimal), while it also being impossible for any one player to
improve their situation by altering only their strategy (Nash equilibrium). It is the
goal to make these two circumstances exist simultaneously.
Next I will discuss my favorite topic regarding algorithmic game theory; the price of
anarchy. I have to admit that the reasons this topic is my favorite are rather
ridiculous; the name sounds really cool, and I like that the concept is also used in
economics. Anyhow, the price of anarchy is a concept that measures how the
efficiency of a system is ruined by the participants self centered actions. (Koutsoupias
and Papadimitriou, 1999) Essentially, this is the result of an inefficient set of
equilibrium outputs. If a system is not designed with the users motives in mind, the
system is often ruined by participants who are strategically trying to benefit
Preparation of Penicillin
IV. MATERIALS AND METHODS
Process Description
The classical penicillin production process is an aerobic fermentation in fed batch
fermenters made with some Penicillium strains, usually Penicillium chrysogenum
(Nielson, 1997) that transforms substrates rich in carbohydrates into penicillin. As
with other antibiotic production processes (Cunha et al., 2002), the penicillin process
operated at antibiotics involves four stages. The incubation of the culture strain
provides the seed that grows in seed fermenters until a stage of maturity is reached.
Then, the seed is transferred to a final stage fermenter. These fermenters are operated
in fed batch mode under standard conditions in order to optimize the synthesis of
penicillin. After ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Burial Practices In British Essay
Societal ideologies and beliefs are constantly evolving, changing and then returning to
past views; growing and receding like the tide. The same is true for burial practices
within Scotland. A typical Neolithic burial over time was converted into monuments
for the dead. Those same Neolithic monuments were changed into Early Bronze Age
cists, which restricted accessibility, since the burials were usually covered by a cairn
to mark the position of internment. Changes in burial practices in Scotland from the
Neolithicto the Early Bronze Age illuminate the splintering of society into smaller
factions. This correlates directly to the later emergence of a closer identification
between particular groups within Scotland. During the Neolithic,... Show more

It is more closely related to a funerary structure than a tomb; it was designed for
ancestor worship rather than housing the dead. The architecture of the early
monuments did not allow for easy access to the remains of the dead. However,
with the development of larger chambers, the dead became more accessible. This
could be explained by the increasing importance of ancestry and increasing
utilization of the remains of the dead in rituals. Cairnholy is the site of two
Neolithic chamber tombs located in the Clyde region. The more elaborate of the two
tombs is known as Cairnholy I. Access to the mortuary area in the primary
monument would have required the removal of a heavy covering slab. Later in the
Neolithic, chamber tombs were enlarged and new chambers were added; this marked
a significant increase in the capacity of these monuments. More dead bodies could be
deposited and the increased chamber area and height would allow the sorting and
manipulation of human remains, which explains why around this time bodies were
beginning to be disarticulated. With the addition of arenas for public display,
rituals associated with the dead were becoming progressively a more important part
of Neolithic life (Noble, 2006, p. 133). During the Early Bronze Age, individuals
began to be displayed in elaborate burials within sites that were formerly used by the
wider community, which suggests that positions of power were increasingly
symbolized in more concrete forms. People
Moral Hero In Ramayana

consistently represents ethical ideals throughout the text. He stands as the main
character in this story that displays great qualities such as devotion, bravery, and

experiencing the Vietnam War, Cold War and eventually commanding the US

His ability as a follower and leader influenced multiple layers of personnel in

getting a new friend group. All my life my neighbor and I have been best friends;
around freshman year he started to hang more and more with this new group of
kids, our school s infamous burnouts. I found myself at a crossroad. I could either
hang out with this new group of kids or the friend group I grew up with since
elementary school. I ended up with the burnouts just as Lindsay made the
transition from so called nerds to the rebel students. Just like my situation, first the
transition was awkward and I struggled to balance both sides but also had to also
maintain my grades. Having friends who are constantly wanting to skip and still
being able to keep the A in Biology was a hard tribulation. Yes, Lindsay and I are a

Analysis Of Broken Blossoms And The Birth Of A Nation
D.W. Griffith was the first American director to be as well known as the films he
directed, and he was among the very first to insist that filmmaking was an art form
(Lewis 53). This statement is very true. However, the inherent discriminating content
in some of his movies also made him one of the hardest to appreciate. One of the
most famous examples was The Birth of a Nation(1915), which was in favor of the
Ku Klux Klan. After a few more controversial movies, he finally tried to redeem his
reputation with Broken Blossoms (1919). Broken Blossoms is Griffith s attempt at an
apology in the portrayal of minorities and the idea of miscegenation within The Birth
of a Nation in the midst of a troubling society heading towards the anti miscegenation
law.
The Birth of a Nation is divided into two parts: The Civil War and the
Reconstruction. It follows the story of two families, one from the North and the
other from the South. Both go through the hardships of war and elections. Some of
the most controversial ideologies in the movie include: the portrayal of the Ku Klux
Klan as the savior with just minds and honorable motives and the portrayal of black
people as degenerates that the whites need saving from. Broken Blossoms shows a
feminine side of the Oriental man. Chinese immigrant, Cheng Huan, moves to Britain
in hopes of spreading his hometown ideology of peace and harmony. He is then

Similarities Between Frederick And Catherine The Great
Frederick and Catherine the Greats Squared This essay about the Greats squared
or better known as Frederick and Catherine. I wondered why they were given the
title of Great , so I began researching both of them. My objective with this essay is
to show their greatest achievements and their worst blunders. Starting with
Frederick the Great, he was born on January 24, 1712 in Berlin, Prussia. His father
King Frederick Wilhelm I was a very strict no nonsense kind of guy. When he
exhibited a flair for languages and music, his father sent him to military training.
Frederick tried to escape to England at age 18 to get away from his father, however,
he was caught, court martialed, and had to watch his best friend be decapitated

Eventually Peter III was killed, however it was never proven that she took part in
it. In order to keep herself from being ousted from the throne, she returned land
/property to the church while claiming she was following in Peter the Great s
footsteps (Catherine II, 2015). This could be where the Great in her name came to
be. Like Frederick, she too believed in the Enlightenment ideals and looked to
reform the Russian educational system, even writing some of the materials herself.
In addition, she lobbied for governmental reforms, created a Legislative Commission,
expanded Russia s borders with the use of the military, as well as amassing a most
impressive art collection (Maranzani,

The patients GGT would be elevated also if he was experiencing an acute episode
of hepatitis B. Additional tests that might be helpful to making an accurate
diagnosis would be; IgG anti HBc and IgM anti HBc. These tests show if the
hepatitis is acute or chronic. The IgG anti HBc is positive if the patient is
chronically infected. The IgM anti HBc would show positive if the patient is
acutely infected with hepatitis B. The HBs Ag will be positive in both acute and
chronic cases. See the table below for an overview of the assessment and tests that
are generally given when a new Hepatitis B diagnosis is reached.

2. Explain the hepatocellular changes that occur with the above diagnosis. The liver
has many roles in the body that associate it with many systems. For example, it acts
as a digestive organ by secreting bile for the breakdown of fat (Copstead, 2010). The
liver also removes bilirubin from the blood, temporarily stores blood and synthesizes
the blood clotting factors (Copstead, 2010). Other functions of the liver are; removing
toxins from the blood, metabolizing both sex hormones and steroid hormones. Any
damage to the liver can in turn disrupt any of these processes and functions that it
performs.
Some of the processes and functions can be changed in the following ways: * Liver

Rocket History
The history of the rocket dates way back to 400 B.C. One of the first rockets to
successfully break the principles essential to rocket flight was a wooden bird.
Escaping steam propelled the birdwas suspended from some wires. The pigeon used
the action reaction principle, which was not stated as a scientific law until the 17th
century. In 1989 Russian teacher Konstantin Tsiokovsky puts forward the idea of
using rockets for space exploration. Tsiokovsky says liquid propellants would gain
greater range. In 1969 Apollo 11 is the first space flight to land people on the Moon.
Neil Armstrong is the first astronaut to set foot on the Moon. 12 astronauts walk on
the Moon during 6 missions. Ed Cernan was the last man to step foot on the Moon in

First we measured out where the fins would go on the body of the rocket. Next we
made the part of the rocket that would help it fly, i think it s called the motor
mount tube. Afterwards we assembled the thrust rings onto the motor so it would
fit in the body, and put tape around the nose cone. The motor was then placed into
the tube. The fins went on next with some glue, and the launch lug so it can fly
further. All of this was sealed with sealer. The last thing we did was place the
wadding, and the parachute in the body, and we were good to go. Painted it all nice,
and neatly. The rocket will launch when we put an igniter into the bottom, then you
get a plug to make sure it is in there sturdy. You will then hook the wire s from the
control to the wires on the igniter, and then you re ready to
Water Potential Essay
The western part of the country has exhibited the criteria that has warranted water
relocation efforts. For a time, the water diversion efforts worked to serve the
communities around it appropriately. However, as the withdrawal of water has
exceeded the supply and as climate change has contributed to decreasing water supply
, there are serious threats to the future of available water in the western United States.
One proposed solution involves diverting water from the Great Lakes in Michigan to
the southwest. The location of the Great Lakes, positioned between the United States
and Canada, leads to international considerations and a controversial problems
regarding international law. The lakes serve as a water source to both the Americans...

Thus, there is a high demand for water. At present, Pennsylvania does not face the
water shortages that warrant water relocation, however, if surface and groundwater
withdrawals increase it could push Pennsylvania closer to considering installing more
hydrological alterations and exacerbate the problems that currently face the nation as
a whole.
There is a clear demand for water in locations that do not naturally have an adequate
supply. Water diversion projects serve their purpose in providing water for individual
consumers as well as for irrigation and industry. However, as illustrated in this paper,
there are severe consequences that arise when disrupting the natural flow of water the
ecosystem around it. To mitigate some of the consequences national geographic has
suggested restricting the construction of dams, providing incentives for farming
business to reduce the use of pesticides, establishing protected wetlands areas, and
regulating water withdrawal for human use (Freshwater Threats, 2016). It is
important that the solutions to reduce the negative effects of hydrological alterations
are aimed at various areas. Efforts should be aimed at reducing the demand for water
by increasing efficiency in industry and irrigation as well as increasing the efficiency
of water delivery. Efforts should be aimed at the careful planning, engineering, and
construction of the hydrological alterations with special attention
Philosophies Of Adam Smith
The philosophies of Adam Smith and David Ricardo
Adam Smith is considered the father of modern economics. He defined economics as
the study of the nature and causes of nations wealth or simply the study of wealth.
The central point in Smith s definition is wealth creation. Implicitly, Smith identified
wealth with welfare. He assumed that the wealthier a nation, the happier are its
citizens. Thus, it is important to find out, how a nation can be wealthy. Adam Smith s
definition is a wealth centered definition of economics.
Main Characteristics of Wealth Definitions
The exaggerated emphasis on wealth: these wealth centered definitions gave too
much importance to the creation of wealth in an economy. The classical economists
like Adam Smith, J.S.Mill, J.B.Say, and others believed that economic prosperity of
any nation depends only on the accumulation of wealth. Inquiry into the creation of
Wealth: These definitions show that Economics also deals with an inquiry into the
causes behind the creation of wealth.
A Study on the nature of wealth: It has indicated that wealth of a nation includes only
material goods(e.g. different manufactured items.). Non material goods were not
included goods were not included.
Adam Smith s Theory of Absolute Cost Difference
Adam Smith s theory of absolute cost difference is the oldest theory of international
trade. According to Adam Smith, the basis of international trade is the territorial
division of labor and specialization. Adam Smith s

  • 2. The Modern Day Legal Systems Human civilization marked the beginning of modern day legal systems. The advancements in societies resulted in maintaining certain rules and regulations to continue this progress. Every society has its own set of laws which are in some ways distinct from others. Many of these laws have common sections and underlying guidelines. This could be because some societies decide to retain certain aspects of their customs after breaking out of another society. It could also be the case that over time different societies through trade and other intercultural activities developed together, which caused them to have agreements in their laws. For many others, it is the case that they share a common colonial master. The law and legal systems operating today are derivatives of the forms listed above. Like many other nations today, the laws of ancient civilizations have affected Canadian law. These include the Code of Hammurabi, the Mosaic law, Greek and Roman laws, the Magna Carta and a few others. More recently are the civil and common law derived from the French and British respectively. Canadadid not always have a written constitution. The territory we now refer to as Canada was once populated by the French and English colonial masters. These colonists extended the laws of their home countries to their colonies. As the population of this territory grew and the UK gained control of more colonies including those from the French, regional laws became a necessity. Between the eighteenth
  • 3. Describe The Differences Between Isabel And Josef Imagine having to leave your country at the age of only 12 year old. This is what the people in this book and many people in real life. In Isabel s story she is escaping Cuba during 1994 as the Cuban exodus is taking place. She is escaping on a boat made of scrap metal and was put together in secret. Josef is on a ship and is escaping Germany in secret on the S.S St. Lewis after their father is taken to a concentration camp and when released was told to leave the country. There are many similarities between Isabel and Josef and one of these differences is that they both are escaping from their home to a safer country. In Isabel s case it is from Cuba and they are escaping from the horrible economy and a horrible government. Josef is escaping... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... One of these differences is the amount of risk of them leaving their home. Isabel is doing something extremely dangerous by using a boat that was barely working and was made at home out of scrap metal. She also had no food other than the food she brought Josef on the other hand was taking a cruise ship with captains and crew to guard them. He also had food supplied to him without him doing any work. Another difference is who they are travelling with. For Isabel it is how she is traveling with a friend, his parents and both of her parents. Josef is however only traveling with his younger sister and after being forced to leave his father in the Cuban hospital is now only traveling with his mom and sister. Josef also never became friends with anyone on the ship and there was no one who was the same age as him so he has near no chance to have anyone to talk to or befriend. One last difference between them is where they are coming from and going to. Isabel is coming from Cuba and is traveling to Miami without stopping anywhere but accidentally stops in the Bahamas. In Josef s case they are leaving Germany and are heading to Cuba. They are not allowed to dock in cuba and are later not allowed in the USA. It has not yet told us but I know from history that the MS St. Louis does not dock at any other countries and is forced to return to

A Short Note On The Battle Of Thermopylae The battle of Thermopylae in year 480 BCE was a major part in the Greek victory of the Graeco persian wars and for the battle of Greece as an independent nation leading to the Greek golden age and Hellenism forever changing the western world and its culture. (Frye)The start of the Graeco Persian hostilities can be traced back to 499 BCE at the beginning of the Ionian revolt when Ionian Greeks revolted against their Persian leaders in a bloody civil war that lasted over seven years. The most significant event that would eventually lead to further hostilities was when the city states of mainland Greece mostly Athens started to support the Greek rebels both financially and militarily. Even with the help of mainland Greece the rebellion was crushed by Darius the great and the rest of the Persian Empire allowing it to become whole once again. But unfortunately this would not stop hostilities between these two nations for Darius wanted revenge on Greece most notably the city of Athens for supporting the Ionians during the revolt. But it wasn t all about revenge the Ionian revolt severely threatened Darius s Empire and Darius saw that mainland Greece would continually cause turmoil in this region of his empire unless they were dealt with thus leading to the first Persian invasion of Greece and The Greco Persian wars. The first invasion of Greece by Darius would not be as successful as he hoped as he was able to destroy the city of Eretria which was one of the city states that had

  • 10. Impact Of Mexican Cuisine On National Identity The Impact of Mexican Cuisine on National Identity Authentic, traditional Mexican food is thought to be a product that was developed by the Mayan Indians. Food was first hunted and gathered so that it was then cooked on ceramic pots or iron skillets over open fires. This ritual was fundamental for the natives. They needed to obtain their food and prepare it in this way so that they could eat. This exemplifies the idea that the preparation of food is not only symbolic of having a meal to eat, but also of nature being transformed into culture. Additionally, everyone has a deep personal connection with the simple act of eating because what one person prefers to eat might be different for another individual. As individuals, we are each born into a culture that most likely has a cuisine different from what others prefer or are accustomed to. All of our palates are distinctly unique. To provide an example of the aforementioned, the Spanish invaded Mexicoin the 16th century, and they brought along with them their own kinds of foods, with wheat holding a particular importance. The Spaniards made attempts so that Mexicans too would have the same liking to wheat as they did, but the reality was that Mexico had a strong attachment to corn. And while the introduction of wheat caused corn to be thought of as nutrient deficient, Porfirian intellectual elites later found that their maize was as equally healthy. • 25. Divine Intervention By Elia Suleiman Palestinian identity has lasted the test of time through exile, diaspora, and attempts at cultural white washing. It is through these situations that Palestine has created a unique sense of identity, unlike many nation states. The Palestinian identity has come to transcend borders, nationality, and mediums. It is not only represented in politics and protest, but in personal expression and the arts. This paper argues that both national identity and cultural productions of Palestine represent the diaspora through noticeable adaptation based on location and support the idea that Palestinian identity isn t singularly definable. The first piece of evidence that I will analyze is the movie Divine Intervention (2002), directed by Elia Suleiman.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... One particularly interesting perspective is his opinion on how the conflict has somewhat freed the identity of Palestinians from a shared land, and that for some Palestinians that can escape the occupation, there is a the creation of a transnational, transgressive life. (Suleiman, 2003, 73) Thus exists multiple outcomes from one identity. He further supports this by commenting that Palestine does not have borders, does not actually exist in the sense of geography, but it still has a sense of space. The Palestinian people are this space, and the people are how we define what is, and what is not Palestine. People are separated geographically, but defined by identity and community, and this creates a unique sense of freedom outside of a defined nation state. (Suleiman, 2000, 96) This lets the definition of this identity be more fluid. He says that in his work he purposefully moves away from a centralized view of Palestinian identity and uses cinema to present the differences in viewpoint, perception, and narration that exist within this conflict. Not only between Israelis and Palestinian s but between all Palestinian s. (Suleiman, 2000, 97) He purposefully moves away from a singular form of Palestinian identity and states My films are Palestinian because I am Palestinian. (Suleiman, 2000, 99) This movement from a

The network of information technology has been installed globally, which leads to more and more games being created to satisfy human s entertainment demand. The article on video games benefits, entitiled Be a Gamer, Save the World by Jane McGonigal, illustrates how games can play an essential role in solving problems which the world is facing. However, everything has it own merits and drawbacks. When we spend time passively sitting on the screen for games, we hardly move to relax our joints, which may bring about the sore in our necks, shoulders and hips. Secondly, games narrow our opportunity to build relationships. This is a strait which is difficult to be recognized. Contrary to McGonigal s article, it is believed that video games can lead to many consequences in terms of our social life. As McGonigal stated, Studies show that we like and trust someone better after we play a game with them even if they beat us (221). This sentence may strengthen her argument on how video games can benefit our social bonds. However, when we become too involved into the unrealistic world of game, we have less time socializing and making friends in the real world. Our concentration is completely on the game we play and only the relationship we have in the game. Video games offer an imaginary world, where we can make more new friends, but that quantity is not considerable. Playing with them can help us entertain, but they may not be important as our parents or your acquaintance the ones who are actually there for us whenever we encounter troubles and need assistance. The Red Scare was a postwar hysteria fed by labor strikes, bomb scares, and the fear of Germans. During the time of race riots and labor strikes, home made mail bombs being sent to the homes of popular or important people were becoming a familiar fear to the public. The postal service attempted to intercept them all, but a few bombs slipped through killing people and destroying houses. This caused the fear of immigration to rapidly increase throughout the United States. • 29. Algorithmic Game Theory Essay In algorithmic game theory, it is easy to find the Nash equilibrium if one can derive the default strategies of each player from the instructions/parameters of the algorithm. It is also not particularly hard to find the optimal solution to an algorithm either. In algorithmic mechanism design, it would be the goal of the algorithm designer to fashion the algorithm in such a way that causes the Nash equilibriumto be the same as the Pareto optimal (or at least close to optimal) result. This would mean that it would be impossible to make any player better off in the game without hurting another player at the same time (optimal), while it also being impossible for any one player to improve their situation by altering only their strategy (Nash equilibrium). It is the goal to make these two circumstances exist simultaneously. Next I will discuss my favorite topic regarding algorithmic game theory; the price of anarchy. I have to admit that the reasons this topic is my favorite are rather ridiculous; the name sounds really cool, and I like that the concept is also used in economics. Anyhow, the price of anarchy is a concept that measures how the efficiency of a system is ruined by the participants self centered actions. (Koutsoupias and Papadimitriou, 1999) Essentially, this is the result of an inefficient set of equilibrium outputs. If a system is not designed with the users motives in mind, the system is often ruined by participants who are strategically trying to benefit

As with other antibiotic production processes (Cunha et al., 2002), the penicillin process operated at antibiotics involves four stages. The incubation of the culture strain provides the seed that grows in seed fermenters until a stage of maturity is reached. Then, the seed is transferred to a final stage fermenter. The same is true for burial practices within Scotland. A typical Neolithic burial over time was converted into monuments for the dead. Those same Neolithic monuments were changed into Early Bronze Age cists, which restricted accessibility, since the burials were usually covered by a cairn to mark the position of internment. It is more closely related to a funerary structure than a tomb; it was designed for ancestor worship rather than housing the dead. The architecture of the early monuments did not allow for easy access to the remains of the dead. However, with the development of larger chambers, the dead became more accessible. This could be explained by the increasing importance of ancestry and increasing utilization of the remains of the dead in rituals. Cairnholy is the site of two Neolithic chamber tombs located in the Clyde region. The more elaborate of the two tombs is known as Cairnholy I. Access to the mortuary area in the primary monument would have required the removal of a heavy covering slab. Later in the Neolithic, chamber tombs were enlarged and new chambers were added; this marked a significant increase in the capacity of these monuments. More dead bodies could be deposited and the increased chamber area and height would allow the sorting and manipulation of human remains, which explains why around this time bodies were beginning to be disarticulated. With the addition of arenas for public display, rituals associated with the dead were becoming progressively a more important part of Neolithic life (Noble, 2006, p. 133). During the Early Bronze Age, individuals began to be displayed in elaborate burials within sites that were formerly used by the wider community, which suggests that positions of power were increasingly symbolized in more concrete forms. One of the most famous examples was The Birth of a Nation(1915), which was in favor of the Ku Klux Klan. After a few more controversial movies, he finally tried to redeem his reputation with Broken Blossoms (1919). Broken Blossoms is Griffith s attempt at an apology in the portrayal of minorities and the idea of miscegenation within The Birth of a Nation in the midst of a troubling society heading towards the anti miscegenation law. • 44. Philosophies Of Adam Smith The philosophies of Adam Smith and David Ricardo Adam Smith is considered the father of modern economics. He defined economics as the study of the nature and causes of nations wealth or simply the study of wealth. The central point in Smith s definition is wealth creation. Implicitly, Smith identified wealth with welfare. He assumed that the wealthier a nation, the happier are its citizens. Thus, it is important to find out, how a nation can be wealthy. Adam Smith s definition is a wealth centered definition of economics. Main Characteristics of Wealth Definitions The exaggerated emphasis on wealth: these wealth centered definitions gave too much importance to the creation of wealth in an economy. The classical economists like Adam Smith, J.S.Mill, J.B.Say, and others believed that economic prosperity of any nation depends only on the accumulation of wealth. Inquiry into the creation of Wealth: These definitions show that Economics also deals with an inquiry into the causes behind the creation of wealth.
