Shipp and Abram Smith being lynched in the South. The two gentleman was accused of rape towards
a white lady and was sent to jail falsely for it. A number of people broke into the jail with
sledgehammers to get the two men to beat and lynch them. Meeropol decided to write a poem about
the disbelief that came across his eyes. Meeropol wrote the poem as a protest poem. Meeropol recalled

Electron Distribution using Peas lab helped me understand how the electrons are placed in levels
based on their energy. For this lab, we had to make a target and put peas into a funnel. After that, we

that states desire a final appellate court that is likely to uphold and legitimize the policies of the nation
s governing elite. The length and type of colonial rule influence the national governing elite s decision
about the final appellate court at independence. Some states that retain the right of appeal to an
extraterritorial court at independence later abolish the right, while others continue to allow appeals to
this extraterritorial court. This mutability raises two additional questions. First, why do we see
variations in the length of time some states retained those ties after independence? Second, why do
some states ultimately decide to abolish appeals to the JCPC and establish a domestic ultimate appeals
court? I posit that states that retain appeals to the JCPC at independence may later decide to abolish
appeals if they perceive a divergence between the state s policies and the JCPC that reduces the

Ford was able to market the Model T to the general public because of his advanced production

made available at a lower cost. Ford also instituted the $5.00/day minimum wage, which he claimed
increased productivity.

stockholders for diverting profits into company expansion. Although the court ruled in favor of the
stockholders, by 1920, Ford was able to buy them out. He built a huge plant in River Rouge, and the

In 1926, Ford began losing sales to General Motors because the Model T was becoming outdated. The

The imagery and symbolism of the bird is depicted through the novella, where the bird is Edna. A bird
represents a strong character, where it has the ability to fly and soar way from its problems ,but is
trapped in a cage which is parallel to the society Edna is living in. Edna was not only the one to
experience this oppression, but it was a common theme during the Victorian Era,with women being
restricted to the domestic sphere, and having the acting role of a dutiful mother and wife. Edna is also
shown to have a daydream in which a half naked man is observing a bird fly away, which arises a
