Auscultating Cough
The first step for a focused exam is a thorough history and physical that should
include a detailed timeline of a cough, provoking and alleviating events, sick contacts,
travel and any other possible sources for a cough (Goolsby Grubbs, 2014). The extent
of the diagnostic and assessments will be determined by how the patient presents
with a cough and how disruptive the cough is for the patient. Auscultating lung
sounds can help find the location, type, and severity of the potential source of a
cough (Dains, Baumann Scheibel, 2016). Examining the head, neck and check

Protagonist Personality
I sat down and actually took the personality test with my best friend. She wanted to
compare our personalities. Apparently, I have a protagonist ENFJ T personality.
The letters stand for extraversion, intuition, feeling, and judgement. Okay, I
thought. So, I read up on it. My friend did not tell me what her personality was, but
I can interpret how we connect because of who I am. Protagonists are natural born
leaders, full of passion and charisma. I thought to myself, hmm I am not so sure if
that is what I think about myself. So, I did some more reading and then it made
sense to me. It says that I am unafraid to stand up and speak when they feel
something needs to be said and it is easy to communicate with others. Because of the
intuitive trait I possess, I can connect my talking abilities to people with the ability
to reach every mind and connect ideas together, which I think is really cool since I
have never really noticed.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When I have a strong feeling towards someone, I can become a great help with
their problems. I tend to put in care for those who I place a little too much trust in.
Sometimes, if a protagonist is not careful, we can overextend our optimism and
push others further than they are willing to go. It is cool to think of this way
because I notice this happen to me in real life situations among my friends, like
choosing what pizza to get or deciding on going to a football game. I learned a lot
about myself. I never really took a deep dive into my personality before and now
that I have, I can see the things I do that I should stick with or the changes I should
make. I learned that I am open and expressive to make new friends, and that should

Smith et al.(1969) treated job satisfaction both as a general attitude and as satisfaction
with five specific dimensions: pay, work, promotion, supervision, and co workers.
According to Pareek (1989), stated organizational climate is cre¬ated by the
perception of organizational members about the out¬come of interactions among
five components of the organization. These interaction components are Structure,
System, Culture, Leader behaviour, and employees psychological needs. Allen
Meyer, (1990) O Reiily Chatman, (1986) stated The Organizational commitment

Comparing Home in Richard Ford s I Must Be Going and Scott Sander s Homeplace
Most people define home as a comfortable setting which provides love and warmth.
In Scott Sanders Homeplace and Richard Ford s I Must Be Going the concept of
home is defined in two different ways. Sanders believes that by moving from place
to place, the meaning of home has been diminished. Sanders believes that America s
culture nudges everyone into motion (Sanders 103) and that his longing to become
an inhabitant rather than a drifter (103) is what sets him apart from everyone else.
Ford prefers to stay on the move. His argument is life s too short to settle in one
place. He believes home is where you make it, but permanence is not a ... Show more

Sanders has a different opinion of moving just to see other places. Sanders
believes that in order to know a place one must root themselves into it. Sanders
proposes that if you are not yourself placed, then you wander the world like a
sightseer, a collector of sensations, with no gauge for measuring what you see
(103). Ford has a different feeling. He believes that seeing all of these places
creates memory, and imagination of these other places just provides an illusion of
what is really going on in the world. He says, Memory always needs replenishing,
and anyway you misunderstand imagination and how it thrives in us by extending
partial knowledge to complete any illusion of reality (Ford 110). Sanders would
disagree that home is not a place. He starts out his essay with a story of a family
whose house is destroyed by a tornado three times. Each time they rebuild in the same
spot. Sanders admires this family for their commitment to their home. Sanders
believes length of time in an area has a definite effect on someone s meaning for
that place. Sanders is encouraged by the words of Gary Snyder in The Practice of
the Wild: You know, I think if people stay somewhere long enough, the spirits will
begin to speak to them (104). Ford does not believe in commitment to a place. He
quotes Ralph Emerson saying, We live amid surfaces, and the true art of life is to
skate well on them (Ford

What Will The People Read My Essay And Application

When I first sat down to start this essay, I asked myself: What will the people
reading my essay and application find most important? Will it be the fact that I ve
got strong experience in several areas of sports media? Will it be the fact that I
attend a top 10 public university in the entire country? Will any of that even matter?
Personally, I believe the most important factor on why someone should receive a job
or an internship or any other opportunity is passion. Anyone can be a great writer, but
is that person willing put in the work daily, write against deadlines and even
sometimes receive criticism for their work? Do they wake up ready to get better
each day? Do they wake up with a smile on their face knowing that they are in their
dream job, doing what they love?
If they don t, I certainly do. I believe that my passion is what sets me apart from
other candidates. A former professor of mine once told me a story about a young man
who had talent he had never seen. Everything came so easily to this young man prior
to coming into college. This young man was the star football player at his high school
, he talked on camera for the school s morning news show and he was a good
looking guy. The problem? He had no passion for anything he did; rather, he simply
managed to coast through high school doing the bare minimum.
When he got to college, he expected everything to be handed to him. When he was
asked to help with anything, he d say no. He was only interested in being a

Public Health Is The Science Of Protecting And Improving...
I.Introduction
Many people litter because they overlook the consequences it has on the
environment due to not properly knowing about the effects. They know that
littering is bad , but don t know how or why it s bad. Litter threatens public health
because it is a breeding ground for bacteria, causes car accidents, starts fires, and
harms and kills plants and animals. According to the CDC foundation, Public health
is the science of protecting and improving the health of families and communities
through promotion of healthy lifestyles, research for disease and injury prevention
and detection and control of infectious diseases ( What is Public Health? ). Public

Because they ve repeated a particular behaviour hundreds if not thousands of times, it
s been mentally reinforced to the point where they don t even notice they re doing it.
Through repetition, these unconscious behaviours become imprinted in the person s
neural pathways and are so entrenched they re very resistant to change ( Why do
people litter? ). Clearly, it s important to teach people at a young age about littering
to combat litter behavior as they get older. The first step in addressing the issue of
littering is clearly defining it. The Interest Group for a Clean Environment in
Switzerland states on their website littering is the increasingly prevalent bad habit of
thoughtlessly throwing away or leaving rubbish lying around in public places
instead of using the rubbish bins or wastepaper baskets provided ( What is littering?
). The act of throwing your fast food trash or water bottle out of a car window is
considered littering. As previously stated in the introduction, a reason why many
people litter is because they don t know what kind of affects it has on people and the
environment. In an article for Seattle Pi, Susan Reverman says, Whether the litter is
intentional or unintentional, large or small, it can drastically affect the environment
for years to come ( How does littering affect the environment? ). With marine litter, the
items that are thrown into the ocean can harm animals that live in the water
tremendously. Animals can swallow or get entangled in

keep your software updated and protect your internet connection with a strong, secure

It s a good habit to change that password every two three months. Never forget about
keeping the firewall on and purchasing the antivirus software. It will usually have an

Bildungsroman Is Defined As A Novel Of The Novel And ...
Bildungsroman is defined as: a novel of formation or novel of education. The subject
of this novel is the development of the protagonist s mind and character, in the
passage from childhood through varied experiences and often through a spiritual
crisis into maturity, which usually involves recognition of one s identity and role in
the world (M.H. Abrams, A Glossary of Literary Terms). Lewis Carroll s Alice in
Wonderland and Maurice Sendak s Where the Wild Things Are use this literary
device through their main characters, Alice, and Max, as they grow either physically
or mentally throughout their journeys. Alice and Max experience change that
modifies their perspectives of the worlds they must navigate. Through the constant
physical changes Alice encounters with her adventures in Wonderland, she learns to
cherish her fleeting childhood and innocence. By undertaking an authority position in
the land of the Wild Things, Max experiences mental growth and learns to appreciate
the weight of adulthood. Alice begins the novel as a naГЇve child, who struggles with
adjusting to new situations and the nonsense of Wonderland. She struggles with the
continuous growth and changes of her body. Alice goes through various physical
changes during her time in Wonderland that makes her uncomfortable. This
continuous growth is similar to a child going through the awkward physical changes
of puberty. Per the Department of Pediatrics, University of California, School of

Freshman Composition Analysis
The first day I walked into Freshman Composition I had the idea that everything

Equally important, my expectations for the class was to earn at least a B, further my

my writingwas not at the college level and I needed to learn how to improve it.
Along with improving my writing, I was also able to learn about college life. With

Put another way, I need to add more vocabulary words into my writing in order for
the essay to sound mature. Another improvement I need is to manage my time better

when a person uses metacognition. In other words, when a person thinks about what
they want to write about before they actually write, then the writing will sound
planned out and thorough. Also, academic writing sounds better when there are
transition words or phrases in between sentences, otherwise the writing might
sound choppy and childish. With the help of Freshman Composition, I learned
more about what college will be like and what to expect in college classes. Equally
important, I learned a little more about what I would like to pursue as a career, with
the help of Ms. Scarbrough. Moreover, as I have thought about my future, I also
learned I do not like to take sides on argumentation, as I had a difficult time writing

Violence is defined as the use of excessive physical force, which causes or has

comes in many forms, and divides into social and cultural factors related to the sport

With the goal of achieving carbon neutral growth by 2020 the aviation industry
views sustainable biofuels as its tool to reach that goal. The major aircraft

Ethanol, made from corn, is part of the first generation biofuels, which are cheaper

The usage of land originally dedicated to agriculture has not only created food

Biofuel is an ideal solution and the successes seen by aircraft manufacturers and
airlines are small steps of progress towards full implementation. However, given the
limitations in land capacity, the debate of fuel versus food, the current technological
developments, high prices and lack of government support, this solution is neither

like William Shakespeare rich, if he wanted to just put his names on the papers, if
he actually had written them. Not just that, but we wouldn t have even heard of
William Shakespeare if Ed had claimed Shakespeare s plays, we would only be

Detective Fiction Conventions
The other great convention of the detective fiction was the introduction of the
criminal who turn out to be a person who has already been introduced in the story.
The criminal was an unexpected character who has not been mentioned in the
episode, a taxi driver. However, he did appear in the episode when the victims called
the taxi to reach their destination, but still we didn t saw his face at that time. The
other time when he got mentioned was when Sherlock contacted the murderer by Mr.
Watson s phone but mistaken him to be a passenger, not the cab driver. Besides this,
the unexpected feature contributed to the suspense which made the movie more
interesting and suspicious. The last convention of the detective fictionwas that, how

Alabama Football History Essay
Alabama has had success in the there football program. Alabama has had some of
the best coaches in College football history like Bear Bryant (Hoes 7). They have
also won 17 National Championships (Heos 7). They have also had the best

Outsiders In The Outsider
The Outsiders An outsider is defined as a person who does not belong to a
particular group. In the book, The Outsiders, many of the characters can be
described as being an outcast from the social society. Ponyboy, Johnny, and Cherry
are outsiders in this novel because none of them really fit into the groups that they
re supposed to be in. In this novel, Ponyboy Curtis is an outsider from society and
his gang. He feels as if he is an outsider from society because he is a part of the
social class named The Greasers. The Greasers are the hoodlums and freaks of the
town. One quote that supports this theory is, It s okay...we aren t in the same social
class. Just don t forget that some of us watch the sunset too. Pony says this to Cherry

Even in his own home, he doesn t feel right. A quote about him from page twelve
that shows this is, His father is always beating him up, and his mother ignored him,
except when she was hacked up at something... Both Johnny s mother and father
abuse him. His mother makes sure he knows that he isn t wanted, and Johnny s
father likes to use him as a punching bag. He is also seen as an outsider in the
Greasers. On page twelve, he is described as, Johnny Cade was last and least... and
He had a nervous, suspicious look in his eyes. This means that out of all the
Greasers, Johnny Cade is the smallest, most cautious, and most of all, afraid. With
the title The Outsiders, S.E. Hinton is trying to say that everyone feels like an
outsider in their own way, no matter what you see on the outsider. In using this title,
Hinton is referring to many different characters, but for the most part she is talking
about Ponyboy and how he feels. When the readers read this book, she wants them
to remember that you re not alone, and that everyone feels like an outsider in their
own way at some point. Many characters in this book feel as though they are alone,
when all of them are self conscious and afraid of
Sex Education And Sexual Education
According to U.S center for disease control and prevention, last year only 34 out of
1,000 teen females gave birth which it the lowest since 1946. The reason behind this
decline is comprehensive sex education taught in schools. One the other hand, the
opponents believe that the reason for this decline is the sex educationclasses that teach
about not having sex. Even when most schools are teaching abstinences only sex
educationabout sixty six percent of high school students says they are sexually active.
Which concludes that the abstinences only sex education is not working and is not
the proper way of teaching sex education in schools. Not teaching proper sex
education may result in teen pregnancyor sexually transmitted diseases. According to,
Center of disease control and prevention, last year, 26% people diagnosed with HIV
were teens aged thirteen to nineteen. Even though supports of abstinences only sex
education have a delusional thinking that comprehensive sex education will increase
students to have sex more often, it should still be taught in schools as research show
it declines teen pregnancy and sexually transmitted disease in teens. The survey done
by Centers of disease control concludes that nearly about 10 million sexually
transmitted disease are contracted every year in the U.S.
Even though there is some decline the teen pregnancy over time, last year 273,105
babies were born to females aged thirteen to nineteen. There are many consequences

The Reality Of The American Dream
Since its boom in popularity, society has confined the American Dream to the ideals
of a spouse, a few children, a steady job in a progressive field, a nice house with a
white picket fence, and the shiniest Studebaker on the block. Coming out of world
wars, the American Dream faced its most significant height of desirability as
commanders wanted to provide all the creature comforts necessary to returning
soldiers. Some, to this day, argue that the American Dreamis an unattainable or
perhaps misplaced perception of reality because they have not reached it or have
misinformation. To achieve this ideal or status, according to others, one must simply
work hard for it. The Dream forever changes alongside society. In fact, it lives on
today in a completely different configuration. It can take on other forms because the
American Dream simply reinforces the idea that each person should have an
opportunity to pursue their own idea of happiness. Many have come to grips with the
notion that the American Dream only exists in a fantasy land, completely impossible
to reach or even fathom especially without emerging from a higher class. On the
contrary, socioeconomic status has no power overreaching the Dream. One
unshakable truth lies within the American Dream: it involves none superficial
characteristics that people fawned over after World War II, nor any of the things
people fawn over today. Rather, the dream holds no materialistic value whatsoever.
The ideal hinges on its principles,
Betrayed By Milan Kundera Analysis
In his excerpt from Testaments Betrayed, Milan Kundera claims that for one to be
truly free, one must have the right to privacy. He says that the curtain must remain
closed between private and public and that those curtain rippers are criminals.
However, although I believe that privacy must be respected and protected, there
are times when the invasion of privacy may be necessary if a person s life or well
being is in immediate danger. Kundera claims that for a man to be free; that the
curtain separating these two worlds is not to be tampered with... I agree with this
part of his argument; privacy is something that has to be revered and enforced, as it is
every man s right to have that freedom. My stance on this is supported by the U.S
Constitution.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
If a parent suspects that his or her child is suffering from depression or is involved
in hazardous activity like drugs, alcohol, or a bad relationship, I believe should be
allowed to violate the child s privacy. By simply looking through the kid s phone or
computer, a parent can find an underlying problem that the child would have
otherwise not have told them. A parent must protect their child from anything that
could harm them, even if it s protecting the children from themselves, and the only
way to do this (if the child refuses to confide) is to deliberately invade their privacy.
As it happens, this violation of a child s privacy also occurs in a medical
environment. If a psychologist s patient is exhibiting either suicidal tendencies or is
under danger of any form of abuse, the doctor is required by law to make it known
to either authorities or the parental guardians that their child is in danger. These
actions are a direct infringement of a person s freedom that Kundera will readily
disagree with, but if the curtain that keeps privacy undisclosed remains tightly shut,
these cases may never be uncovered and these lives might not be
Unrequited Love In A Midsummer Night s Dream
Analysis
The scene my partner and I performed was Act 3, Scene 2. In this scene, the audience
learns about Hermia and Helena fighting, this lead from Lysander falling in love with
Helena and not with Hermia anymore, Hermia blames Helena for stealing her love,
however, Helena thinks that Lysander, Demetrius and Hermiaare mocking her and
she gets really mad. They start arguing and insulting each other. This scene is
important to the overall play because it highlights the theme of hatred which is
significant in A Midsummer Night s Dreambecause it makes the story interesting
and has a climax, it also makes the story more realistic because very real friendship
has ups and downs and not perfect. The characters, Hermia and Helena embody the
theme of unrequited love because when they meet in the forest they argue about
their respective love of Lysander and Demetrius. Hermia accuses Helena of trying to
steal her love, Lysander, when she says to Helena You thief of love! Whereas... Show

For example when Hermia says, What, have you come by night and stolen my love
s heart from him? we understand that she is very confused. Also when Helena
says, Have you no modesty, Have you no maiden shame, No touch of bashfulness?
We understand that she is both mad and confused. The technique of rhetorical
questions suggests to us that when Hermia asks, How low am I? she is asking
Helena a question, however, does not want it answered. The language proves that
she is mad and trying to make judgements, however, does not want Helena to
answer it because she wants to be really insulting. This is important because it is
this point in the play where all the drama is, where all the confusion is made and
where the climax is.Therefore it is clear that Hermia and Helena s fighting really
makes an impact on the whole
Of Vincent Lamouroux s Essay Notes On Site Specificity
The stark white remains of the Sunset Pacific Motel upsets the urban environment
surrounding the strip of Sunset Boulevard in the Silver Lake neighborhood of Los
Angeles. French artist Vincent Lamouroux coats an abandoned motel, the billboard
that rests above it, the wire fence encompassing it, and the palm trees surrounding it
with a temporary layer of opaque lime wash. He names the piece Projection. The
motel now stands like a ghost, gleaming in white with its community s history
eternalized beneath those layers of paint. The structure visually contrasts with the
backdrop of bright blue skies, like a billboard trying to capture the viewer s attention.
Lamouroux liberates the motel from its original function and gives new meaning to a

Haring s ACT UP, which later circulated as mass produced posters, reflects upon
and urges for awareness on the AIDS crisis. Kwon claims that with the
incorporation of the street into the framework of art, there is a greater concern for
integrating art more directly into the realm of the social, either in order to redress
(in an activist sense) urgent social problems such as the ecological crisis,
homelessness, AIDS...or more generally in order to relativize art as one among
many forms of cultural work. Although Haring s style as an artist is inherently
recognizable and bears the mark of his artistic identity, both Projection and ACT
UP use the street as a site of protest and interrupt the urban landscape through their
choice of contrasting color palettes, creating a confrontation between the viewer
and the problems of the present. Over the last decade, Silver Lake has become one
of the many neighborhoods of Los Angeles subjected to gentrification. Today, the
neighborhood is filled with trendy coffee shops and boutiques. The Sunset Pacific
Motel, a victim of gentrification, has been closed for decades by the city due to
constant criminal activities and faded into the background of Silver Lake as a

Floating Charge Essay
An issue of distinguishing a fixed and a floating charge has considerable
significance particularly for the parties involved in commercial relationships. It
follows from the fact that under English law a fixed charge has a priority over a
floating charge that means the former will prevail over the latter even though the
company has granted a floating charge to the creditorprior to the creation of a fixed
security. Another reason is that under the provisions of Insolvency Act 1986
holders of a floating charge are placed in a less favourable position than the holders
of a fixed charge particularly due to sec. 176 of the Act which prevents the
distribution of a certain portion of the company s net property to the holder of a
floating charge... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Lord Scott in Re Spectrum went further by saying that the first two criteria are not
often material for every floating charge.
When providing the distinction between the above charges the two stage process
of legal characterization developed in Agnew must be applied by the English
courts. The object of the first stage of the process is to ascertain the nature of the
rights and obligations which the parties intended to grant each other in respect of
the charged assets. Once these have been ascertained, the Court can then embark
on the second stage of the process, which is one of categorization and designed to
attribute the correct legal label to the package of rights and obligations. Lord Millett
s reasoning has been approved by the House of Lords in Re Spectrum in which
emphasis was given to the freedom of the company to deal with the assets in the
ordinary course of business rather than the two first criteria focusing on the nature of
the secured assets.
The breakthrough decision on the distinction of charges over book debts became the
Siebe Gorman case where Slade J held that the restrictions placed on the company s
power to deal with the proceeds of the debts gave the bank a degree of control
which was inconsistent with a floating charge and therefore the debenture given to
Barclays was a fixed charge. The case caused a significant effect to commercial
practice as it
Worldview Philosophies
A worldview can be expressed as philosophies that shape a pattern of life and a
system of various approaches that makes experiences possible (Hand, 2012).
Worldview is also referred to as a person s psyche, attitude, faith, outlook and
philosophy in life (Funk, 2001). In simpler terms, worldview can be described as an
individual s own belief(s) and their point of view, whether it is their spiritual or
scientific point of view. These beliefs and attitudes bring guidance in understanding
the worldand in considering the significance and meaning of circumstances that
happen around us. Worldviews assist us in how we live, how we present ourselves
and these philosophies give reason to the decisions we make every day.
Funk (2001) described seven
Saint Brigid s Centre For The Arts
Saint Brigid s Centre for the Arts in Ottawa was formally called St. Brigid s Church
as a Roman Catholic Church which was designed and built by architect John. R.
Bowes and his son, James Bowes together. After 2007, the church was closed and
now uses for all kinds of artistic, cultural and social events such as concerts, plays or
art exhibitions. The architectural plan of the church was rectangular Roman basilica
with twelve compound piers with transverse aisle on either side crossing the
longitudinal nave in front of the sanctuary. The Romans most greatest techniques of
architectures were influenced by its of the Etruscans and has developed three
architectural features: arch, dome and vault in the 1st century BC. Romanesque
architecture has characteristically elements: Semi circular arch, Barrel vaulting of the
nave, thick buttress walls and Gothic architecturehas three elements which came
together in Gothic period: Pointed arch, Ribbed vault and Flying buttress.
Among Architecture terms, a vault is an arch shaped structure used to provide an
enclosed space with a ceiling or roof of a building and is a unique element to
analyze which architectural design was in history. There are four certain types of
vault to be classified: Barrel and Groin vault which were used in Romanesque
period, and Rib and Fan vaults which were used through the Gothic period of the
later Middle Ages.
A barrel vault is the simplest base design of the vaults, which was developed to more
Correctional Institutions Case Study Essay
Correctional Institutions have a strict budget. Therefore, implementing new programs
is heavily reliable on how the institutions budget can be relocated to provide funds
for the new program. This paper will analyse the difficulties and challenges one faces
when trying to pilot a new program. The new programis a anger management
counseling program that will require $350,000 and two new counselors. However, the
program has shown impressive results in other correctional institutions.
The first hurdle that has to be taken is to convince a senior leadership team to
pursue the program, knowing very well that some of them are sceptical and do not
take the program very seriously, since they think that the program that will lose
interest very soon. In order to convince this team one could show them studies that
investigated the results of the program. If this program produced impressive positive
results in other facilities, there would be a couple of studies that supported this
conclusion. One could also evaluate the population of the facility and seeing that it
was similar to the populations that benefitted from the new program, would argue
that it is applicable to this specific facility. Further, one could also look at the
recidivism rates of those offenders that completed the program. If the recidivism
decreased it could be argued that this program would help re socialise inmates and
prevent them from returning to the system. The program could also affect the inmate s

Analysis and interpretation The Nine Billion Names of God
In 1953 Arthur C. Clarke wrote The Nine Billion Names of God . This is a science
fictive short story where we meet a group of lamas who wants to write the nine
billion names of God. Atypically, the lamas will not use the normal alphabet; but their
own alphabet where they have invented and written in their holy books. In over three
centuries they have been typing these names down, and it would take another fifteen
thousand years for them to complete the chore. Therefore, they purchase a special
computer, Mark V, from a company, which can calculate and write all the letters
down. Compared to the fifteen thousand years the ... Show more content on

It seems like he sees them as too stupid to be able to handle this equipment. He
believes that science is greater than religion. He cannot really see the purpose of this
task either, but asks the lama anyway and for a second he wonders whether he has
offended him. On the other hand, we have the lama who believes that these religious
thoughts go far beyond the science world. He knows that the scientists are narrow
minded and do not believe in a world of religion. It is somewhat alien your way of
thought, so I hope you will listen with an open mind while I explain it.
Later on in the conversation, the lama talks about this computer eliminating
ridiculous combinations. For example, no letter must occur more than three times in
succession. Three? Surely you mean two. Three is correct: I am afraid it would take
too long to explain why, even if you understood our language.
The lama knows that he will not understand their view at life and so does the
scientist. The barrier between these two worlds are simply too excessive. But the
lama has come to do business and he hires two engineers to come along to make sure
the computer works as intended.
When Chuck tells George the crazy news regarding the monks intention with the nine
billion names, their scientist brains simply can t find a reasonable explanation for

Serena Williams Advertising
In order to sell something, you need to have a good reputation or at least a good
reputation with your consumers. Credibility or ethos is how to rapport amongst
consumers and distributors. In order to market a product, the reputation of this
distributor must have this trait. Athletes are commonly used in this type of marketing.
Mentioned below are athletes John Cena and Serena Williams both fit the
description. Along with what they would be appropriate to sell, what they wouldn t
be good at selling will be explained and why.
First off is John Cena, a WWE wrestler who has a very notorious saying of You can

product for him to promote would be Axe gel deodorant. He would have a slogan
that would cover and discuss how strong men use Axe and how it won t show on

action figures and toys. Namely boy toys because of the fact that boys who enjoy to
watch WWE on tv van imagine theres using him to fight. Now an unfit advertisement

at selling any other sports item other than tennis is because she s a tennis player, not
a soccer player or anything else. The reason she would be good at promoting sports
brands and tennis related merchandise is because she has the credibility of being an

Benefits of Physical Activities for Children
Do you have a child or siblings? What if at age 10 they went for a regular doctor
check up and got diagnosed with diabetes. But then ontop of that information, you
were told that it could have been prevented with just a little exercise. Diabetes
prevention is one of many ways that physical activities benefit children. My name is
Kayla Langley and I would like to inform you of the numerous benefits of exercise
for children, those with and without disorders. Childhood obesity has more than
doubled in children and quadrupled in adolescents in the past 30 years( Childhood
Obesity Facts ). This is not a trend that we want to see rise any further. Physical
activities are proven to monitor weight, build strong bones, and maintain healthy
muscles. These components help the individual work towards improving
endurance, strength, and flexibility(Physical Activity Facts). Healthy bones and
muscles are crucial for a healthy life, exercise allows muscles and joints to bend
and move to get a full range of motion( The Many Benefits of Exercise ). However,
overweight children do not get to enjoy the luxury of being able to move around the
way they desire( Childhood Obesity Facts ). It limits them from the world and all that
it offers, this is why physical activities are extremely crucial for every child.
Especially, those showing signs of obesity. Children with ADHD, Attention Deficit

Religious Influence On Religion And Environmental...
Did you know that burying the dead underground is a Christian practice? Many
practices and rituals like this contribute to the environment in many ways you never
would ve imagined. Religious influence on the environment is stronger that
environmental influence on religion because different religions contribute practices
and architecture to contribute to their religious landscape.
Religions use architecture to create many holy sites. In christianity, there are many
holy sites in Jerusalem, bethlehem, Yatharth, and Sea of Galilee. In Jerusalem there
is the site of Jesus crucifixion, and the church of Holy Sepulchre, where is believed
that Jesus tomb is. Many christian pilgrims go to Jerusalem to visit many of its holy
sites. In Buddhism, there are also many holy sites. One is the Lumbini in India;
which is where Siddhartha was born. Another is the Bodhgaya in India where he
attained enlightenment and became the Buddha known. Many Buddhist visit many
of this sites to fully visualise how many things have happened to Siddhartha. Another
Religion that has many religious sites is Hinduism. There is the Kaaba; which is the
holiest and most sacred place in Islam. According to that religion the prophet
Abraham and his son Ishmael built it as a symbol of House of God. Another place
is The Prophet Mosque which is in Medina. The prophet Mohammad built it because
of God s command next to where his settle his Hijrah. Muslims go there to pray and
also free their sins.

In both Goblin Market and The Bloody Chamber , women face objectification as
pornographic objects whose solitary purpose is to be a man s appealing possession.
Evidently, the objectification of women impacted the way each author constructed
their texts. Feminist movements aiming to undermine these rigid female and male
roles are prominent in the time period of both literary works. Both Christina Rossetti
and Angela Carter use strange worlds to differentiate from the typical fairy tale s
predictable conclusion and instead make a statement through the use of a female
heroine. Both literary works contrast the archetypal idea that a man must always be

In Goblin Market, when Laura is infected with the goblin s poisonous fruits her
sister [stands] in deadly peril to do her good, and win the fiery antidote . (Rossetti,

violence and temptations of the goblins to save her sister s life is used by Rossetti to
provide an impression of power in female refusal to vigorous male
Marvin Gordon Poem
1. The love of a family is life s greatest feeling. Marvin Ashton
Explanation:
There are a lot of definitions about Love. Love of friends, love of someone special,
and so much more. But for me the most unconditional love we re getting through is
the love of our family because it is the most powerful thing we ve got in our entire
life. If we are on our down fall we have shoulders to cry on. They make sure that we
feel the presence of what shelter they can give to us in any types of problems.
The love of my family is the greatest blessing I have right now. Because no matter
what happens my family will always bring the best moments of my life.

Some people will end up not realizing their worth because of self doubting . They
think that no matter what they do they will always fail and for some instances they
thought that whatever they do is not enough to prove themselves.
For some reason I feel not contented to what I m doing for the things that I thought I
gave the best of me and still end up doubting myself.
3. Opportunities are like sunrises. If you wait too long, you miss them. William
Arthur Ward
Explanation:
We make our own lives. People will not die poor not unless they do efforts to make a
better living. Every time we want something and the opportunities are there but our
mind set is not ready, somehow we miss to grab these opportunities.
This quote motivates me to be brave enough in making my own decisions life and
taking risk to make a better future for myself.
4. Push yourself because no one else is going to do it for you. John Green
Explanation:
Molding oneself is actually the greatest effort we need to do into ourselves. We need
to manage our own personality. The only thing that could help us to change our ways,
lifestyle and beliefs is none other than
Gilgamesh Flood Vs Flood
Flood vs. Flood After reading the flood story in the Epic of Gilgamesh and the
flood story in Genesis, I was surprised by how far apart these stories written and by
how many similarities I found between them. In this paper I am going to discuss
the many similarities and difference between these two stories and reasons as to
why, although so far apart in time, can be very similar in text. First I would like to
discuss the similarities I found while reading these two stories. The obvious
similarity is that both stories involved a flood that wiped out all life on earth. Both
stories involve one man being spoken to be their respective god to build a boat to
prepare for the flood (Genesis 11) (Gilgamesh 108). Noah and Gilgamesh had
families that also helped build their boats. These two men were also instructed to
bring aboard all living creatures (Gilgamesh 108) (Genesis 12).... Show more content

Seven days of flooding, seven days to complete the boat, seven decks on the boat,
seven days waiting in the flood. Also in both these stories the floods were caused
by large amounts of rain that occurred for seven days. Another fascinating
similarity I found was the use of birds. Gilgamesh and Noah sent out raven and
dove in order to find land as they got closer and closer to land (Gilgamesh 11)
(Genesis 13). When both boats finally came to rest, they were on the top of a
mountain (Genesis 13) (Gilgamesh 11). After the boats rested Gilgamesh and Noah s
their gods spoke to them, telling them to get off their
Analysis Of Fea Abaqus, Adaptive Mesh ( Ale ) Method
MN5561 FEA REPORT
Student Number: 1337150
ABSTRACT
In FEA ABAQUS, adaptive mesh (ALE) method is one of the most important
elements to maintain a high quality mesh throughout an analysis in a case that large
deformation causes element distortion. The purpose of this master of engineering
report is to use adaptive meshing in simulation of an axisymmetric forging problem
where highly deformation was seen. Meanwhile, investigating results of elastic
plastic deformation simulation in FEA ABAQUS. Through finishing the simulation
under different mesh sizes and mesh types in ABAQUS, rectangle type meshing is
better for this forging problem and the best final element size is 3 mm (normal).

The Italian Mafia And The Italian Mafia
America is known as the land of opportunity. For some, that meant the opportunity to
grab what they could with no fear of the law. In the early 1900s, the era of dizzying
social change, anything seemed possible. With the right street smarts and gumption
to pull any job off, many immigrants rushed to America to better their family s lives.
Members of each family would do whatever possible to make that household better,
no matter the cost or consequence. This shifty attitude stemmed from many years of
family loyalty, well, that was the case of many Italians from Sicily. This exuberant
can do spirit coursed through America s immigrant filled cities, industrial heartland,
and freewheeling west, all fertile ground for empires to be built and money to be
made. This was the birth of the mafia. There were four prominent mafias in the
beginning years of America, and they were the Italian mafia, Russian mafia, Irish
mafia, and the Jewish mafia. However, the focus of this paper will be solely based
on the Italian mafia, and how family honor, respect, drugs, money, and running from
the law created a fixation and aspiration on the American gangster image. When we
think of the Italian Mafia, we think of mobsters such as Joe Gallo, Tommy
Lucchese, Charles Lucky Luciano and Al Capone. These men left a legacy behind
for the mafia to succeed, and history remembers their names. Yet these sensational
depictions of these men can take us only so far. The true story of the Mafia reveals

Brief History And Evolution Of Las Vegas
A Brief History and Evolution of Las Vegas and its Casino Marketing Strategies
Angela Rossetti Abstract Every year Las Vegas attracts nearly thirty five million
tourists. What was once a barren desert is now one of the most well known cities
in the world. Known for its neon lights and license to sin, it is no wonder that the
success story of the city of Las Vegas appears to just be beginning. This paper will
look at the history of Las Vegas, various marketing strategies within Las Vegas, and
take a closer look at specific marketing strategies of some of the most successful
hotels currently in the city that lives under the famous neon lights. History of Las
Vegas Las Vegas found its humble beginning in 1905 when the Union Pacific

Sixty six slot machine licenses were issued to store, restaurant, and club owners by
the city that year. Las Vegas was now on the map. Its slow but steady growth
resulted in newly paved roads, new construction, and an increase in tourism. A
controversial law allowing divorce after the shortest required period of residency
in the country brought considerable income to the city as well as thousands of new
residents hoping to get unhitched. Construction of the Boulder Dam began that
year as well. Workers and their families flocked to the outskirts of Las Vegas with
nothing but time and extra money from their new jobs. Construction workers
comprised the majority of the gamblers for this town early on. Despite the bad
press that the workers were bringing to Las Vegas, their gambling losses provided
the revival that the city so desperately needed. As the completion of the construction
of the Boulder Dam neared, the city launched an advertising campaign to promote
tourism in Las Vegas. Flyers were distributed across the southerwestern states.
Advertisements were posted in train, airline and bus ticket offices across the nation.
The town continued to diversify through water and nature events at Lake Mead,
sporting events, rodeos, and the like. These events were promoted via talk radio in
surrounding states. Las Vegas welcomed a new wave of tourism with open arms and
began to see growth like never before. While divorces helped sustain Las Vegas
financially,
Summary Of Meta-Fiction In The Canterbury Tales
In The Canterbury Tales, Geoffrey Chaucer is able to provide explicit social
commentary of his characters to his readers through the process of meta fiction, in
which he writes about the art of literature and its effect on the readers. Through the
use of meta fiction, Chaucer is able to hide behind his overt commentary of the
social classes, which includes criticizing members of the church and the social
elite, while also commenting on social, religious, and gender inequality. In The
Prologue to The Tale of Sir Thopas , Chaucer avoids the repercussions of his
political statements by portraying himself as a quiet character of unknown social
class who tells a dumb witted tale to play to his naivety, while following with an
advisory tale saturated with legal and moral arguments, leaving the characters, and
the readers, wondering about the depths of his character. The way that Chaucer
performs this meta fiction is in itself an art form, as he inserts himself as a character
in the tales, playing the role of the observant yet naГЇve narrator. Throughout the
tales, the character Chaucer remains silent, keeping his opinions to himself and
never implying a place where he should tell his story, unlike the drunk, lowly miller
who interrupts the social order by telling his tale before the monk. However,
Chaucer the author explicitly draws attention to this silence in the prologue before
The Tale of Sir Thopas after the prioress finishes her tale, to which he says, Whan

The extent of the diagnostic and assessments will be determined by how the patient presents with a cough and how disruptive the cough is for the patient. The letters stand for extraversion, intuition, feeling, and judgement. Okay, I thought. So, I read up on it. My friend did not tell me what her personality was, but I can interpret how we connect because of who I am. Protagonists are natural born leaders, full of passion and charisma. I thought to myself, hmm I am not so sure if that is what I think about myself. So, I did some more reading and then it made sense to me. It says that I am unafraid to stand up and speak when they feel something needs to be said and it is easy to communicate with others. Because of the intuitive trait I possess, I can connect my talking abilities to people with the ability to reach every mind and connect ideas together, which I think is really cool since I have never really noticed.... It is cool to think of this way because I notice this happen to me in real life situations among my friends, like choosing what pizza to get or deciding on going to a football game. I learned a lot about myself. I never really took a deep dive into my personality before and now that I have, I can see the things I do that I should stick with or the changes I should make. I learned that I am open and expressive to make new friends, and that should help me focus in social

Comparing Home in Richard Ford s I Must Be Going and Scott Sander s Homeplace Most people define home as a comfortable setting which provides love and warmth. In Scott Sanders Homeplace and Richard Ford s I Must Be Going the concept of home is defined in two different ways. Sanders believes that by moving from place to place, the meaning of home has been diminished. Sanders believes that America s culture nudges everyone into motion (Sanders 103) and that his longing to become an inhabitant rather than a drifter (103) is what sets him apart from everyone else. Sanders has a different opinion of moving just to see other places. Sanders believes that in order to know a place one must root themselves into it. Sanders proposes that if you are not yourself placed, then you wander the world like a sightseer, a collector of sensations, with no gauge for measuring what you see (103). Ford has a different feeling. He believes that seeing all of these places creates memory, and imagination of these other places just provides an illusion of what is really going on in the world. He says, Memory always needs replenishing, and anyway you misunderstand imagination and how it thrives in us by extending partial knowledge to complete any illusion of reality (Ford 110). Sanders would disagree that home is not a place. He starts out his essay with a story of a family whose house is destroyed by a tornado three times. Each time they rebuild in the same spot. Sanders admires this family for their commitment to their home. Sanders believes length of time in an area has a definite effect on someone s meaning for that place. Sanders is encouraged by the words of Gary Snyder in The Practice of the Wild: You know, I think if people stay somewhere long enough, the spirits will begin to speak to them (104). Ford does not believe in commitment to a place. He quotes Ralph Emerson saying, We live amid surfaces, and the true art of life is to skate well on them (Ford

Will it be the fact that I ve got strong experience in several areas of sports media? Will it be the fact that I attend a top 10 public university in the entire country? Will any of that even matter? Personally, I believe the most important factor on why someone should receive a job or an internship or any other opportunity is passion. Anyone can be a great writer, but is that person willing put in the work daily, write against deadlines and even sometimes receive criticism for their work? Do they wake up ready to get better each day? Do they wake up with a smile on their face knowing that they are in their dream job, doing what they love? If they don t, I certainly do. I believe that my passion is what sets me apart from other candidates. A former professor of mine once told me a story about a young man who had talent he had never seen. Everything came so easily to this young man prior to coming into college. This young man was the star football player at his high school , he talked on camera for the school s morning news show and he was a good looking guy. The problem? He had no passion for anything he did; rather, he simply managed to coast through high school doing the bare minimum. When he got to college, he expected everything to be handed to him. Clearly, it s important to teach people at a young age about littering to combat litter behavior as they get older. The first step in addressing the issue of littering is clearly defining it. The Interest Group for a Clean Environment in Switzerland states on their website littering is the increasingly prevalent bad habit of thoughtlessly throwing away or leaving rubbish lying around in public places instead of using the rubbish bins or wastepaper baskets provided ( What is littering? ). The subject of this novel is the development of the protagonist s mind and character, in the passage from childhood through varied experiences and often through a spiritual crisis into maturity, which usually involves recognition of one s identity and role in the world (M.H. It can take on other forms because the American Dream simply reinforces the idea that each person should have an opportunity to pursue their own idea of happiness. Many have come to grips with the notion that the American Dream only exists in a fantasy land, completely impossible to reach or even fathom especially without emerging from a higher class. On the contrary, socioeconomic status has no power overreaching the Dream. One unshakable truth lies within the American Dream: it involves none superficial characteristics that people fawned over after World War II, nor any of the things people fawn over today. Rather, the dream holds no materialistic value whatsoever. The ideal hinges on its principles,
  • 26. Betrayed By Milan Kundera Analysis In his excerpt from Testaments Betrayed, Milan Kundera claims that for one to be truly free, one must have the right to privacy. He says that the curtain must remain closed between private and public and that those curtain rippers are criminals. However, although I believe that privacy must be respected and protected, there are times when the invasion of privacy may be necessary if a person s life or well being is in immediate danger. Kundera claims that for a man to be free; that the curtain separating these two worlds is not to be tampered with... I agree with this part of his argument; privacy is something that has to be revered and enforced, as it is every man s right to have that freedom. My stance on this is supported by the U.S Constitution.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... If a parent suspects that his or her child is suffering from depression or is involved in hazardous activity like drugs, alcohol, or a bad relationship, I believe should be allowed to violate the child s privacy. By simply looking through the kid s phone or computer, a parent can find an underlying problem that the child would have otherwise not have told them. A parent must protect their child from anything that could harm them, even if it s protecting the children from themselves, and the only way to do this (if the child refuses to confide) is to deliberately invade their privacy. As it happens, this violation of a child s privacy also occurs in a medical environment. If a psychologist s patient is exhibiting either suicidal tendencies or is under danger of any form of abuse, the doctor is required by law to make it known to either authorities or the parental guardians that their child is in danger. These actions are a direct infringement of a person s freedom that Kundera will readily disagree with, but if the curtain that keeps privacy undisclosed remains tightly shut, these cases may never be uncovered and these lives might not be
  • 27. Unrequited Love In A Midsummer Night s Dream Analysis The scene my partner and I performed was Act 3, Scene 2. In this scene, the audience learns about Hermia and Helena fighting, this lead from Lysander falling in love with Helena and not with Hermia anymore, Hermia blames Helena for stealing her love, however, Helena thinks that Lysander, Demetrius and Hermiaare mocking her and she gets really mad. They start arguing and insulting each other. This scene is important to the overall play because it highlights the theme of hatred which is significant in A Midsummer Night s Dreambecause it makes the story interesting and has a climax, it also makes the story more realistic because very real friendship has ups and downs and not perfect. The characters, Hermia and Helena embody the theme of unrequited love because when they meet in the forest they argue about their respective love of Lysander and Demetrius. For example when Hermia says, What, have you come by night and stolen my love s heart from him? we understand that she is very confused. Also when Helena says, Have you no modesty, Have you no maiden shame, No touch of bashfulness? We understand that she is both mad and confused. The technique of rhetorical questions suggests to us that when Hermia asks, How low am I? she is asking Helena a question, however, does not want it answered. The language proves that she is mad and trying to make judgements, however, does not want Helena to answer it because she wants to be really insulting. This is important because it is this point in the play where all the drama is, where all the confusion is made and where the climax is.Therefore it is clear that Hermia and Helena s fighting really makes an impact on the whole

French artist Vincent Lamouroux coats an abandoned motel, the billboard that rests above it, the wire fence encompassing it, and the palm trees surrounding it with a temporary layer of opaque lime wash. He names the piece Projection. The motel now stands like a ghost, gleaming in white with its community s history eternalized beneath those layers of paint. Haring s ACT UP, which later circulated as mass produced posters, reflects upon and urges for awareness on the AIDS crisis. Although Haring s style as an artist is inherently recognizable and bears the mark of his artistic identity, both Projection and ACT UP use the street as a site of protest and interrupt the urban landscape through their choice of contrasting color palettes, creating a confrontation between the viewer and the problems of the present. Over the last decade, Silver Lake has become one of the many neighborhoods of Los Angeles subjected to gentrification. Today, the neighborhood is filled with trendy coffee shops and boutiques. The Sunset Pacific Motel, a victim of gentrification, has been closed for decades by the city due to constant criminal activities and faded into the background of Silver Lake as a liminal space where one simply
  • 29. Floating Charge Essay An issue of distinguishing a fixed and a floating charge has considerable significance particularly for the parties involved in commercial relationships. It follows from the fact that under English law a fixed charge has a priority over a floating charge that means the former will prevail over the latter even though the company has granted a floating charge to the creditorprior to the creation of a fixed security. Another reason is that under the provisions of Insolvency Act 1986 holders of a floating charge are placed in a less favourable position than the holders of a fixed charge particularly due to sec. 176 of the Act which prevents the distribution of a certain portion of the company s net property to the holder of a floating charge... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Lord Scott in Re Spectrum went further by saying that the first two criteria are not often material for every floating charge. When providing the distinction between the above charges the two stage process of legal characterization developed in Agnew must be applied by the English courts. The object of the first stage of the process is to ascertain the nature of the rights and obligations which the parties intended to grant each other in respect of the charged assets. Once these have been ascertained, the Court can then embark on the second stage of the process, which is one of categorization and designed to attribute the correct legal label to the package of rights and obligations. Lord Millett s reasoning has been approved by the House of Lords in Re Spectrum in which emphasis was given to the freedom of the company to deal with the assets in the ordinary course of business rather than the two first criteria focusing on the nature of the secured assets. The breakthrough decision on the distinction of charges over book debts became the Siebe Gorman case where Slade J held that the restrictions placed on the company s power to deal with the proceeds of the debts gave the bank a degree of control which was inconsistent with a floating charge and therefore the debenture given to Barclays was a fixed charge. The case caused a significant effect to commercial practice as it

Further, one could also look at the recidivism rates of those offenders that completed the program. If the recidivism decreased it could be argued that this program would help re socialise inmates and prevent them from returning to the system. The program could also affect the inmate s
