Ethnic Market Analysis
The ethnic market I visited was a local Middle Eastern market called Tehran Market. I expected to
find a mixture of American and Middle Eastern brands of food but mostly American brands. When I
first stepped into the store I quickly realized that I was wrong, the store was the opposite of what I
originally thought. The market provided mostly Middle Eastern brands of food. I loved walking
around the store and discovering foods I wouldn t normally see at my local markets. I was so
interested in all of the products they had available that I not only returned to Tehran Market but also
purchased a number of new items. The items I ve purchased were a variety of fresh produce that they
had available, such as: tomatoes, cucumber, onions, lettuce, and

Equality s Identity In Anthem, By Ayn Rand
James Baldwin once said, An identity would seem to be arrived at by the way in which the person
faces and used his experience. Baldwin is saying that a person s identity, or what makes a person who
they are, is shaped by what they have experienced. In Anthem by Ayn Rand, Equality s identity is
described as a confident person who is not afraid to stand up for what he believes. He was not afraid to
take a stand, break away from the society, and live life outside of it so he could keep and use his light
box. Equality did not want to be chained to the limits of the society anymore. Equality s identity of
being confident and fearless is shaped by numerous forces such as the invention of the light box,
which gave him hope and confidence in the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When Equality runs to the Uncharted Forest to save his invention, Liberty stays in the society only to
discover that she misses Equality and covets and yearns to be with him. She ends up going to the
Uncharted Forest to find Equality. When she sees the man she loves in the forest, she is beyond happy
that she is with him and not the other citizens in the society. Liberty says to him, Your eyes are as a
flame, but our brothers have neither hope nor fire. Your mouth is cut of granite, but our brothers are
soft and humble. Your head is high, but our brothers cringe. You walk, but our brothers crawl. We
wish to be damned with you, rather than blessed with all our brothers. Do as you please with us, but
do not send us away from you (Rand 82 83). Liberty sees Equality differently than everyone else and
has great reverence for him. She does not see him as a crazy man, as a disobedient man, nor as a
criminal; she sees him as a man who is not to stand up for what he believes in. Liberty would much
rather live a life with him, alone in the Uncharted Forest, and be breaking the rules than stay in the
society and live a simple life without Equality. This impacts Equality and his identity in more ways
than one. When all is said and done, Equality s relationship with Liberty dramatically shaped his

The Main Controversies of Medieval Thought in the 12th and 13th Centuries
The twelfth and thirteenth centuries were a time of great controversy for medieval scholars. New
systems of thought were being developed and implemented that challenged the accepted teachings of
the church. Some fought to preserve tradition, others fought to destroy it, while still others sought to
find a common ground between the two. The greatest controversy of the times, it can be said, was that
of faith and reason. Most philosophical debate revolved around these and to a lesser extent the
opposition of realists and nominalists on the question of universals. The type of philosophy that was
being taught in the Christian schools of the time has been given the ... Show more content on

Among the Arabic commentators was Averroës. The multi talented Islamic philosopher would become
known as the commentator and interpreter of Aristotle. Averroës had written the commentaries in
response to a request from his ruler. His commentaries are very numerous and their effect on the
Christian philosophical world immeasurable. In his personal philosophies he arrived at the conclusion
that the two truths of faith and reason were irreconcilable. Maimonides was at the same time an
orthodox Jew and a firm adherent to Aristotelian philosophy. He was therefore in the same position as
his Christian counterparts, particularly Thomas Aquinas, and faced the problem of combining the two.
The result of his meditations on the issue is expressed in his Guide of the Perplexed, which appeared
in approximately 1190. Maimonides stated that since God was responsible for the existence of both
faith and reason the two must never be contradictory. Any semblance of contradiction between the two
is therefore the result of misinterpretation of sacred writings or philosophy. Albertus Magnus, an
encyclopedic writer was probably the first to recognize the significance of the new translations of
Greco Arabic literature. Magnus greatly appreciated the writings of Aristotle and made great efforts to
help his contemporaries understand him. His work made a terrific

Modern Hero vs. Anglo Saxon Hero Essay
Today s modern day hero has similarities and differences than the Anglo Saxon hero. The two heroes
each have different values they believe in. Also, they are motivated to fight for different reasons. An
Anglo Saxon hero also fights differently than a modern day hero. An example of this comparison is
Bono from the band U2 and Beowulf. Both modern day heroes, like Bono and Anglo Saxon heroes,
like Beowulf, try to improve their societies, but do it in different ways and for different reasons.
Anglo Saxon heroes have only a few things in common with modern day heroes. One of the things is
that they both want to improve the society that they come from. That I, alone and with the help of my
men, may purge all evil from this hall (Raffel ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He raised his arms and seized her by the shoulder (Raffel 509 510). Beowulf and Anglo Saxon heroes
fight their battles with their fists. On the other hand, modern hero fights with their minds. In 1992
Bono took part in a campaign organized by Greenpeace against radioactive pollution (The City
Council of Turin, no page). Bono has organized and created many foundations that help and save
people all over the world.
Another Difference these two types of heroes have is why they fight their battles. I sold my life for
this treasure and I sold it well (Raffel 820 821). The Anglo Saxon heroic code states that Anglo Saxon
heroes are seeking fortune. Beowulf makes many references in the poem of how he seeks wealth.
Modern day heroes are the complete of this. All of Bono s foundations are non profit and the money
they raise goes right to various charities. In modern day society it is considered greedy for a celebrity
to seek money. On the other hand, it is perfectly normal and accepted for an Anglo Saxon hero to seek
wealth.
It was respected and not uncommon for an Anglo Saxon hero to boast. This is a major difference
between Anglo Saxon heroes and modern day heroes. Bono has not once bragged about all of the good
things he has done, or the money he makes. Meanwhile, through out the whole poem Beowulf is
bragging about his strengths, riches, and ancestors. All modern day heroes would not be considered
heroes

What Made Gorbachev s Leadership And Negotiations...
IDENTIFICATIONS AND EVALUATION OF SOURCES
The focus of this investigation will be the question of What made Gorbachev s leadership and
negotiations successful with the US in ending the Cold War compared to past Soviet Leaders? and will
analyze his actions during his leadership of the Soviet Union. This investigation will focus solely on
his actions, policies, and negotiations with the U.S., and differences between Gorbachev s terms as
leader compared to pass Soviet leaders. My first source will be a primary source, Gorbachev, Mikhail.
Gorbachev Letter to Reagan. Letter to Ronald Reagan. 28 Oct. 1987. MS. N.p., which is a letter
written from Gorbachev to Reagan. The second source will be History.com Staff. Perestroika and
Glasnost. History.com. A E Television Networks, 2010. Web. 31 May 2016., which is a secondary
source created by History.com, which discuss Perestroika and Glasnost.
Gorbachev, Mikhail. Gorbachev Letter to Reagan. Letter to Ronald Reagan. 28 Oct. 1987. MS. N.p.
This source could be valuable to historians looking at the question because it is a primary source
written by Gorbachev written in 1987, two years after coming to power. That means it allows
historians to see the goals that Gorbachev had wanted to achieve during his leadership. It also gives
historians an idea of the things that Gorbachev has already achieved when negotiating policies in
Moscow when stating presented new evidence that our relations have entered a dynamic period.

At the Time of the Louisville Flood Essay
The image I have chosen is one by Margaret Bourke White, titled At the Time of the Louisville Flood .
Margaret Bourke White was born on June 14, 1904. She first gained recognition as an industrial
photographer based in Cleveland, Ohio and worked for the magazine company known as Fortune. She
then became one of the founding member for the magazine LIFE, having shot the very first cover of
their magazine. Margaret s name became world famous for her amazing photographs, even more
impressive to have accomplished this at a time when is was a man s world.
This photograph really gets my attention due to the great irony illustrated in it. When looking at this
picture I first take notice to the huge billboard at the back of the setting in ... Show more content on

Having this photography in black and white makes the subject
Furthermore, this photograph is more powerful in black and white rather than in color because the
contrast between the main subjects is more obvious. It is taken from an ordinary perspective and angle
which draws the viewers in easily. The picture is therefore divided into two parts supplement to each
other from this point of view.
This is an effective and influential piece due to the issue brought up by the irony. Through her
photograph, Margaret Bourke White successfully depicted the living standard of African Americans in
reality back in the 1930 s compared to the so called American dream. This is one of my favorite
photographs because of the truthfulness it represents. This image not only brings the suffering of the
flood victims to the viewers but also demonstrates the mock made by the billboard toward the victims.
If this photograph is presented without any descriptions and title, it would make little sense to the
spectators. Without showing the very front of the bread line, it would be hard for viewers to know who
are the people

Non Zoonotic Disease
In addition to performing duties as a veterinarian, I also reviewed biosecurity and cleaning procedures
performed by the staff. It was in these activities I witnessed how calicivirus (non zoonotic) and
ringworm (zoonotic) were being spread among the animals due to staff s lack of biosecurity measures.
While calicivirus is not a zoonotic disease, it is a highly transmissible disease among cats, especially
when proper protocols to prevent spread are not observed. Animals identified with calicivirus have
cage cards and signs on their cages alerting the staff to their condition. These cage cards indicate the
order in which these cages should be cleaned and animals medicated based on severity of symptoms.

I identified rabies and ringoworm as the most common zoonotic issues at APL. Other considerations
for zoonotic disease in shelter medicine are: toxoplasmosis, toxocariosis, pasteurellosis, and
bartonellosis. In response to educating the public on these diseases and how they were transmitted, I
developed a flyer to display at the shelter as well as provide as a handout to all adopters. I developed
separate flyers for each disease determined with zoonotic potential that was most common in this
shelter (ringworm) and most well known (rabies). Copies of the products developed are attached to the
end of this report (Appendix 2 3). In the future, if received well, then additional flyers could be
created for other zoonotic diseases. While doing research at the shelter, it became evident staff
members did not know what a zoonotic disease meant. I informally discussed zoonotic disease with
three staff members that represent the areas of the shelter with the most public interactions (cat nook,
kennels, and front office) and asked them the same three questions: 1. What does a zoonotic disease
mean? 2. Does the shelter have any zoonotic diseases currently? 3. Can you name one zoonotic
disease? The answers were as follows:
1. A disease that is fatal A disease people can get from animals A disease that animals spread to each

The Creation of Shelter in Pre-Colonial North Australia...
The Creation Of Shelter In Pre Colonial Far North Australia And New Zealand
Shelter has always been a necessity for mankind. We, as humans, have a relationship with the land that
we must respect to live happily amongst it. Spaning back as far as the pre Colonial Australia,
indigenous Australians understood this connection excellently. Their shelters seemed to bend with the
land as they understood crucial elements within the architecture to compensate for distinctive climate
and cultural factors to fit their nomadic lifestyle. Their living style was very minimalistic yet practical.
The indigenous Australians only built what they needed to survive. For evidence of this, we will be
looking at the text; Gunyah, Goondie and Wurley: the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Similar to conservation of food and environment, their architectural style was also minimalistic.
The far north indigenous tribes of Australia centralised their camps and villages in the proximity of a
running stream. This ensured that their food sources weren t toxic plants, that they had an abundance
of riverine species such as crayfish, eels and fish, the construction of earth oven with river sand and
rock for manufacturing nutcrackers and axes7. These sorts of villages were constructed quite
permanently to facilitate older relatives in a cool and providing place whist other tribe members
continued to move from place to place8. Building near a stream was a sustainable idea as the
surrounding area was far less dense, they didn t need to clear much spaces to build a camp. They
would aim for places with much sun light to escape the constant wet environment of the rainforest.9
They had to take care that the ground was semi elevated to ensure the camp was not flood prone, that
the river they were camped next to would not rise too much. In these base camps, more permanent
dome structures were built. The indigenous understood the different between structures that would
support them for longer periods of time and that of a nomadic lifestyle. Similarly, the early settlements
of the first New Zealanders were often at harbors or the mouths of rivers which were close to the sea.
This provided them with good access to

Pressure/Volume of Air Full Lab Write Up
Introduction:
According to Boyle s Law, the volume of any given amount of gas held at a constant temperature
varies inversely with the applied pressure. In other words, when the pressure increases the volume
decreases. When pressure decreases, volume increases. This can be derived from the following
equation:
P1 V1=P2 V2
The common use of this equation is to predict how a change in pressure or volume will alter the
volume/pressure of the gas. Thus, the product of the initial volume and pressure is equal to the product
of pressure and volume after a change in either pressure or volume under constant temperature.

The Tax System Of The United States
Taxes are a required aid from individual incomes or business profits collected by the government that
funds certain activities and services is provided by the government for the people. Taxes in the United
States can be originated all the way back to the 1760s. The current tax system the country has is a
progressive tax. A progressive tax is a taxation system where higher incomes get taxed at higher
percentages than those with lower incomes. The tax system that has been proposed that the economy
should switch to is a flat tax. A flat tax is a system where all income would have to pay the same

Also, as income increases, households have more and more income that is not spent on basic
necessities and thus can afford to pay more taxes, unlike those with lower incomes. In other words, a
progressive tax helps the government gain revenue to support its society. As a result of people with
higher incomes paying more money to the government, access money can go to those people who can
t afford to help themselves. In addition, it helps create programs for medical services, fund public
education, housing assistance and other welfare programs. This revenue enhances the opportunities for
its lower and middle class citizens (History and Debate of Progressive Tax). Nonetheless, some
conservatives think that progressive tax is socialist wealth redistribution and state theft because of
what the access revenue is put towards. Conservatives also think that progressive tax is unacceptable
because it creates a sense of class warfare, where the poor and rich don t get along with each other
because of the large gap they have in taxes. They also believe the current progressive system hurts
wealthy business owners because they are the ones who create jobs, therefore they are vital to the
economy and shouldn t have to pay more because of their success. Many liberals still believe that the

Police Brutality Of The Police
To serve and protect is a famous motto used by the police department, however sometimes it is the
police that we need protecting from. Communities have the right to feel safe, this is where the police
undertake the admirable job of protecting the communities form danger. Police must perform their job
no matter the race or gender of the people involved. Police must also actively practice the idea of
innocence until proven guilty. More and more cases of Police brutality have surfaced among the media
greatly concerning the people, who is to protect them from the protectors? Even the innocent police

There have been countless cases of police brutality throughout the united states. United States has

resulting in the loss of lives. Eric Garner was killed by police on July 17, 2014 due to excessive force

In the 1800s, there was a disease called pernicious anemia. Pernicious anemia was affecting in older

cure for pernicious anemia was nutrients in liver, which was the previous treatment for this disease,
and that it was absence of nutrients. This resulted in the seclusion of a vitamin which we now call
vitamin B₁₂. George Minot along with William Murphy and George Whipple received a Nobel Prize in
1934 for their discovery, though they were not the first to propose that it was a lack of nutrients.

Criminal Justice System has argued to reduce the prison population by incorporating punishment in

Importance Of Depository Receipt Is A Negotiable...
INTRODUCTION
The past few decades have witnessed the increased internationalization of various firms through cross
listings on international exchanges. This has been facilitated by market liberalisation, which has led to
greater integration of global securities markets. Cross border listing has become one of the avenues for
the integration of global securities markets.
There are two forms of cross border listing, namely, direct listing and indirect listing. Direct listing
implies that the firm concerned offers ordinary shares to the public. Indirect listing on exchanges is
through Depository Receipts (DRs). Depository receipt is a negotiable certificate issued by a bank in a
domestic country that represent ownership of shares in companies of other countries. Cross listing,
particularly through DRs such as American Depositary Receipts (ADRs) or Global Depositary
Receipts (GDRs), is a popular way of internationalisation among firms from emerging economies. In
addition to Europe and America, International firms are allowed to cross list in other countries through
the DR programme.
There could be several reasons for a domestic company to cross list, such as an expanding investor
base, the desire to improve stock liquidity through its highly liquid secondary market, the increasing
visibility of the company, a growing customer base, and the wish to take advantage of higher
valuations. From the perspective of investors, cross listing mitigates some

persevering to earn equal rights for all women in the country even though she could possibly get put in
prison. Ava Clark from Don t Give Up The Fight persevered to prove that it doesn t matter if she is a
boy or girl, she can still reach the same goals as everyone else. While these stories have the same
themes, Susan B Anthony is trying to change the lives of women across the country while Ava Clark is
trying to change things for herself. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The story Susan B. Anthony Dares To Vote and Don t Give Up The Fight both try to change lives for
the better, but while Anthony is trying to change the lives of everybody in the United States, Ava is
trying to make life better for herself. For example, in the passage Susan B. Anthony Dares To Vote,
Susan replies to the judges fine by saying, And I shall earnestly and persistently continue to urge all
women... that resistance to tyranny is obedience. This shows that Anthony is trying to change rights
for women because she pledges to the judge that she will not stop urging women about the unfairness
until they get what they deserve. While Anthony helps women, Ava helps herself by persevering to get
what she wants. For example, Ava showed perseverance and how she helps herself when she tells her
principal about what has happened at the race which got both Mr. McCoy and Jacob sent to the
principal s office. This proves that Ava helps herself because even though she was afraid of telling
anyone what had happened she did anyway and got the antagonist s in trouble. Also, nobody else but
herself is affected in a positive way by her

Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome Analysis
As I trudged through the halls of Wolfson Children s Hospital, I slowly sipped on a white, chalky
liquid. My doctor tried to persuade me it would taste identical to the sweet and refreshing Crystal
Light drink, but with every swallow, my stomach became more and more queasy, and I was not
convinced. This large drink that took me what felt like days to finish was part of the upper
gastrointestinal series and just one of the many tests I was subject to on the long journey of being
diagnosed with the rare disorder, Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome. This illness kept me up night after night
with severe nausea leading to vomiting every ten to fifteen minutes, and ultimately a trip to the
emergency room due to severe dehydration. These dreadful hospital ... Show more content on

These joyrides were an escape from my hospital room and opened my eyes, forever changing them.
As my mom would wheel me through the hospital, the amount of people I saw suffering from various
sicknesses crushed my heart. Even though witnessing this multiple times first hand was incredibly
hard, it gave me an intense compassion and a love to want to help others. Two years ago, I had the
privilege to attend a mission trip to Costa Rica with my church. One day, while staying in the small,
impoverished town of Alajuelita we visited an orphanage for children with disabilities. As soon as I
walked into the building, my eyes immediately fell upon a beautiful, young girl who was squirming on
her bed while yelling at the top of her lungs. I was informed that she was unable to communicate with
anyone and it pained me to think about what she was going through. The entire time my team spent at
the orphanage, I sat by her side and rubbed her back to calm her down. It took about thirty minutes
until she stopped screaming and became completely

International and Global Marketing
Introduction:
Introducing a new product or service into a foreign market is a significant business achievement. As a
matter of fact, there are a few things that companies have to face when it comes to globalization. This
essay will deal with luxury products, and more particularly with high end jewellery from the French
brand Cartier. These products will be launched within the Chinese market, as it is close to become the
largest luxury market in the world. In order to make this project as successful as possible, this essay
will be divided into two parts. On the one hand, we will be analysing the marketing environment of
the Chinese market by identifying major market opportunities. Also, the selection of a suitable target

Thus, many Chinese parents have a desire to protect their children from the suffering they encountered
. They see their child as a second chance to live a happiness which they themselves had not
experienced (Croll, 1985). Nowadays, these only children came to adopt the nickname Little
Emperors because of the large portion of time and money their parents devote to them. Families
provide their children with a first world lifestyle and spend a lot of money in luxury products; they
need to have the best things to succeed. Young Chinese consumers are then seen as a big opportunity
for many global marketers. The one child policy created a large middle class with a large amount of
disposable income that would never have been possible to obtain if these couples had bore multiple
children.
Booming / Expanding market Great demand for luxury goods. Many marketers look at China as their
favourite bright spot and this is particularly true for luxury brands. By 2015, China will be home to the
world s fourth largest population of wealthy households and will become the world largest market for
high end goods. Like Japan 20 years ago, the people in China are exposed to a massive amount of high
end goods and services through the Internet, by overseas travel, and from first hand experience.

Factors Affecting Failing Grades
What are factors affecting academic performance?
Answer:
Many, many factors can affect academic performance, which means how a person does on
schoolwork. The physical condition of the student has a great deal to do with that person s ability to
do a good a good job on anything and to understand anything. For example, if the student has poor
eyesight, he or she might not be able to read well. If the student has a hearing impairment, he or she
might not be able to listen to and understand instructions. If the student has a disease, it might impair
his or her ability to do the required work. A student s socio economic status (SES) can affect his or her

A student needs time to be in class, and appropriate time for study. However, there must be time for
family, friends, social activities, and time to just be alone. The key is keeping proper balance. * Lack
of taking advantage of student resources. There is really no reason for academic failure. Every college
and university has an academic learning center where students can receive peer and faculty tutoring,
without charge. Many students fail to seek help. * Attending the wrong college or university. Some
students accept admission into schools they are not familiar with. Thus, they become depressed with
their surroundings. Student must be content with their school, its environment, and resources. This, in
turn has a negative affect on their studies. * Lack of maturity and discipline. Some students are just
not disciplined and lack good organizational skills. They often fall under the pressure of their peers.
Rather than using good discretion, they feel compelled to follow others (socially), when they really
should be attending to their studies. Again, lack of appropriate

This paper will look at the political including economic, and cultural and social developments during
the Hellenistic period. I personally found that there are many positive developments; whereas the least
positive development I found were the multiple wars that ravaged the Hellenistic civilization
especially the Wars of the Successors (322 275 B.C.).
Many economic developments came about during the Hellenistic period, historians state that it was
second in terms of magnitude to the Commercial and Industrial Revolutions of the modern era.
Several important events led to these economic developments: firstly, the opening up of the vast trade
area from the Indus River to the Nile as a result of the Alexandrian conquests; secondly, the price ...

Israel has been involved in a number of wars and large scale military operations, including:
Israeli war of independence Started as 6 months of civil war between Jewish and Arab militias at the
end of the British Mandate of Palestine and turned into a regular war after the declaration of

Civil War Visual Analysis
The painting was very thought provoking and sprouted many ideas in my head, however, their was one
idea that stood out more than the others. I listed the thoughts below in the bullet points. The color
scheme of this painting was very chaotic. The outside areas were vibrants shades of yellow, green, and
some blue. The inner center section of the painting was dark red with a big blotch of black covering it.
Other students took the hidden shades of colors to stand for the bravery that most citizens stereotype
war with. However, in reality their is only blood stains that cover everything and war is just an act of
foolishness.
From my point of view, the outside colors stood for the different viewpoints that each individual

So if you look at the painting in this perspective, you can hypothesize that the red and green
viewpoints have collided making the big black blotch in the center.
So it is concludes that when these varying viewpoints collided you create a massive surge of chaos
and bloodshed.
The other thing interesting about the painting was the setting of the picture. Unlike most paintings this
one was set inside a frame that resembled a barrier. This was very creative and gave the viewer the
sense that all these soldiers are trapped in this vortex of unending bloodshed.
Their was a part of the canvas that seemed to run out of the boundaries of the frame. It was interesting
how the blue line leading away from the scene closely resembled a river.
It felt as if many of the soldier may have tried to escape from this gruesome setting by flowing out of
the picture and maybe forgetting all the memories. However, the experience war gives is rarely
forgotten and this clearly noticeable in the picture because the river does not end up leaving the frame
but comes to a standstill or

An Essay On Paleo Diet
The paleo diet is an eating plan that will restore your body to the healthy state intended by mother
nature, and keep your weight at a healthy level as well. It is predicated on the assertion that by getting
back to basics and eating the way our paleolithic ancestors did, we won t be subjecting our bodies to
all the chemicals and preservatives in modern foods. It restricts our diet to one similar to the way the
cavemen ate. This means eating foods that can be fished out of the river, hunted in the woods, or
gathered. Of course, most people don t hunt for their meat these days, so buying lean meat at the
grocery store will be fine, preferably meat obtained from grass fed cows. If you buy fish, make sure it s
wild and not farm raised. Get you eggs from free range organic chickens.
Paleo recipes may also contain nuts, fruits, and vegetables, as long as they re fresh and not canned.
Foods to avoid on a paleo eating plan are grains and legumes, most dairy products, refined salt and
sugar, white flour, and alcoholic drinks.

The only differences in this recipe is the beef should be organic and grass fed. More and more stores
now are beginning to carry organic foods, including beef. Another necessary ingredient for a good
meat loaf are bread crumbs, but of course bread(or its crumbs) are not allowed in a paleo diet, so we
must come up with a substitute if this is to be an authentic paleo meatloaf. For this you could take
some oatmeal and grind it in a food processor until it mimics the consistency of bread crumbs. The
only other change from a regular meat loaf would be in the type of catsup used. A paleo eating plan
cannot include regular store bought catsup because of the high fructose corn syrup and preservatives.
So I will include a simple recipe for a concoction that will pass as home made

Essay On Test Data Generation
2. Related works
Some of the recent work related to the automated test data generation is listed below:
Search based approaches have been extensively applied to solve the problem of software test data
generation. Yet, test data generation for object oriented programming (OOP) is challenging due to the
features of OOP, e.g., abstraction, encapsulation, and visibility that prevent direct access to some parts
of the source code. To address this problem Abdelilah Sakti et al. [26] have presented an automated
search based software test data generation approach that achieves high code coverage for unit class
testing. The test data generation problem for unit class testing to generate relevant sequences of
method calls were described at first. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A set of search heuristics targeted to OCL constraints to guide test data generation and automate MBT
in industrial applications was proposed. These heuristics for three search algorithms: Genetic
Algorithm, (1+1) Evolutionary Algorithm, and Alternating Variable Method were evaluated.
Empirically evaluated the heuristics using complex artificial problems, followed by empirical analyses
of the feasibility of our approach on one industrial system in the context of robustness testing.
A feature model is a compact representation of the products of a software product line. The automated
extraction of information from feature models is a thriving topic involving numerous analysis
operations, techniques and tools. Performance evaluations in this domain mainly rely on the use of
random feature models. However, these only provide a rough idea of the behaviour of the tools with
average problems and are not sufficient to reveal their real strengths and weaknesses.
Sergio Segura et al. [28] have proposed to model the problem of finding computationally hard feature
models as an optimization problem and solved it using a novel evolutionary algorithm for optimized
feature models (ETHOM). Tool and an analysis operation were given in ETHOM generated input

No-Fault Divorce Pros And Cons
Marriage is a beautiful, life changing event that bonds two people together forever. However, together
forever isn t always the case for most couples. Marriages can fail for various reasons and divorces are
usually filed. Unfortunately, divorce is becoming more common and normal. When a couple becomes
unsatisfied in their marriage for whatever reason, they can file for a No fault divorce. In a No fault
divorce, either one spouse or both can file and does not have to prove any fault on account of the other
spouse. All the spouse needs to do is give any reason that the state honors for the divorce. When
considering a No fault divorce, it is important to first consider the pros and cons.
Pros of No Fault Divorce A No fault divorce can be beneficial in many ways such that the divorce
process is shorter, depending on the state s law of minimum required days of residence and less
expensive due to not having to deal with outrageous lawyer fees. A No fault divorce is also beneficial
because privacy is being respected. Spouses do not have to give reasons, point fault, or involve anyone
in their personal lives. No fault divorces have also shown less emotional stress and reduced incidents
of violence on children and spouses. Children play a big role in divorces. Seeing their parents split up

unethical reasons. No fault divorces leave both spouses broken hearted, poor, and without custody.

The Role of Women in World War II Essay
How important was the role of women during world war 1
The early rush of volunteers and later the conscription of men led to a shortage of manpower on the
home front. Women, already working in munitions factories were encouraged to take on jobs normally
done by men.
This was the start of major social change. Before the war, women had been content to stay at home to
bring up the family and do domestic work. It was considered unbecoming for a woman to work.
During the war it was considered unpatriotic not to.
Many changes came about as shown by the quote from A. J. P Taylor English History Women became

1917. Many of those who served were city girls from middle classed families, quite unaccustomed to
hard physical labor. Few failed to impress the initially doubtful farmer with their grit determination
and in the end they saved their country from starvation. Other women joined the forestry corps and
felled trees in shipbuilding and other industries.
At the start of the war almost the entire staff of the Glasgow Corporation tramways left to form a
special battalion of the Highland Light Infantry. Glasgow got its first females clippies in April 1915,
followed more slowly by Manchester and London. Women also became train drivers and greasers of

When the war was over most of the women left, or were forced to leave, the paid employment which

Hbs Mt. Everest Case Study Essay
HBS Case Review: Mt. Everest Case Study
Introduction
The case of Mt. Everest focuses on two commercial expeditions, Adventure Consultants and Mountain
Madness, and the tragic event on May 10, 1996. These two commercial expeditions were lead by Rob
Hall and Scott Fischer, and were consisted of 20 members. Both leaders were experienced climbers,
but due to several factors, the expedition resulted into five deaths including Hall and Fischer. The
event has thought managers to evaluate the importance of leadership together with its internal and
external factors that managers should consider to survive in the high risk business world.

Lack of psychological safety within the team members failed to fix cognitive bias of irrationality. If
members developed trust within the team, cognitive bias could have been prevented or at least
minimized. The truth that climbers might make irrational decisions and find it hard to turn back when
they are so closed to the summit was obvious, but teammates seeing this problem did not speak up
since they did not feel that their thoughts were welcome and felt uneasy. More cognitive biases could
also been prevented to lessen the complex system of the expedition. Since climbing Mt. Everest is
already a high risk venture, any additional problems such as irrational decisions can cause a crisis.
Using the early sign of issues with Hall s team s progress, it was obvious that the probability of failing
the expedition was high before the team even started. Hall could have used the issues as a sign of the
complex systems that exist, and could have used this knowledge to prevent any irrational decisions.
The complex systems and the lack of psychological safety also contributed to the tragedy. The team
members failed to communicate and trust each other, which then added more problems to the complex
systems. For instance, Boukreev s could have spoken up to his team leader, Fischer, about his
concerns regarding his team members lacking experience to begin with. By speaking up, he could
have prevented more chain reaction due to lack of communications and feedback within the

A very important aspect of a working society today is a spoken language. Being able to communicate
and understand one another through words opens up an abundance of doors for humanity. Taking
language to the next level was the creation of writing systems. Without a writing system, there would
be no way to document important events in history or to record facts that will help with further
developments. Writing systems not only help with the present, but with future developments. With a

Phonemes are units of sound that can very drastically change the meaning of a word. For example, the
words booth and both appear to be very similar, but are vastly different in their definitions. In the
Sumerian language, phonemes are mostly used with the vowels of their alphabet. In the English
language there are roughly 24 vowel sounds, while Cuneiform contains a mere 8 vowel sounds. Also,
there are 14 constants used in Cuneiform: b, p, t, d, g, k, z, s, sh, ch, r, l, m, and n. Sumerians did not
use these vowels and constants literally, but were translations made by studying the language.
Morphemes are the smallest grammatical units in a language. In The Sumerian language, people used
morphemes usually to make a word plural. These are known as plural markers. For example, the s in
the word books would be the morpheme that is making the word plural. Morphemes in modern day
are much more intricate, but this was the basic use in the fourth millennia. Cuneiform vowels include
short a, long a, short e, long e, short i, long i, short u, and long u. Cuneiform is very simple in context
compared to the English writing system, but in the era it was created, it was very complex considering

Developing A Theory Of Information Science Research
Developing a Theory in Information Science Research: A Review of Experts Advice
Abstract
Despite the growing number of theories within the field of information science, it still remains a
difficult task for some emerging scholars in the field to clearly articulate the development of new
theories from research studies. This paper reviewed and collated the different views of scholars on
what a theory is and how a good theory can be developed. It explains the concept of a theory and the
different components that make up a theory. The paper discusses the different processes of theory
development by emphasizing what theory is and what theory is not. This review found that scholars
differ in their definition of a theory, which led to using terms such as model, paradigm, framework and
theory interchangeably. It found the lack of theoretical construct in a study to be one of the factors
why articles are rejected for publication. It pointed that producing a paper that contributes to theory
rests on the ability of scholars to develop original and new ideas that bring something insightful into
scholarship, which can be applied to bring about fresh thinking. This paper may be of benefit to
researchers, especially younger academics who are the future of scholarship in the field of information
science and other disciplines.
Introduction
Studies with strong theoretical perspectives are often regarded as adding value to any field of learning.
It is therefore essential for scholars

  • 4. Equality s Identity In Anthem, By Ayn Rand James Baldwin once said, An identity would seem to be arrived at by the way in which the person faces and used his experience. Baldwin is saying that a person s identity, or what makes a person who they are, is shaped by what they have experienced. In Anthem by Ayn Rand, Equality s identity is described as a confident person who is not afraid to stand up for what he believes. He was not afraid to take a stand, break away from the society, and live life outside of it so he could keep and use his light box. Equality did not want to be chained to the limits of the society anymore. Equality s identity of being confident and fearless is shaped by numerous forces such as the invention of the light box, which gave him hope and confidence in the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... When Equality runs to the Uncharted Forest to save his invention, Liberty stays in the society only to discover that she misses Equality and covets and yearns to be with him. She ends up going to the Uncharted Forest to find Equality. When she sees the man she loves in the forest, she is beyond happy that she is with him and not the other citizens in the society. Liberty says to him, Your eyes are as a flame, but our brothers have neither hope nor fire. Your mouth is cut of granite, but our brothers are soft and humble. Your head is high, but our brothers cringe. You walk, but our brothers crawl. We wish to be damned with you, rather than blessed with all our brothers. Do as you please with us, but do not send us away from you (Rand 82 83). Liberty sees Equality differently than everyone else and has great reverence for him. She does not see him as a crazy man, as a disobedient man, nor as a criminal; she sees him as a man who is not to stand up for what he believes in. Liberty would much rather live a life with him, alone in the Uncharted Forest, and be breaking the rules than stay in the society and live a simple life without Equality. This impacts Equality and his identity in more ways than one. When all is said and done, Equality s relationship with Liberty dramatically shaped his courageous ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. The Main Controversies of Medieval Thought in the 12th and... The Main Controversies of Medieval Thought in the 12th and 13th Centuries The twelfth and thirteenth centuries were a time of great controversy for medieval scholars. New systems of thought were being developed and implemented that challenged the accepted teachings of the church. Some fought to preserve tradition, others fought to destroy it, while still others sought to find a common ground between the two. The greatest controversy of the times, it can be said, was that of faith and reason. Most philosophical debate revolved around these and to a lesser extent the opposition of realists and nominalists on the question of universals. The type of philosophy that was being taught in the Christian schools of the time has been given the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Among the Arabic commentators was Averroës. The multi talented Islamic philosopher would become known as the commentator and interpreter of Aristotle. Averroës had written the commentaries in response to a request from his ruler. His commentaries are very numerous and their effect on the Christian philosophical world immeasurable. In his personal philosophies he arrived at the conclusion that the two truths of faith and reason were irreconcilable. Maimonides was at the same time an orthodox Jew and a firm adherent to Aristotelian philosophy. He was therefore in the same position as his Christian counterparts, particularly Thomas Aquinas, and faced the problem of combining the two. The result of his meditations on the issue is expressed in his Guide of the Perplexed, which appeared in approximately 1190. Maimonides stated that since God was responsible for the existence of both faith and reason the two must never be contradictory. Any semblance of contradiction between the two is therefore the result of misinterpretation of sacred writings or philosophy. Albertus Magnus, an encyclopedic writer was probably the first to recognize the significance of the new translations of Greco Arabic literature. Magnus greatly appreciated the writings of Aristotle and made great efforts to help his contemporaries understand him. His work made a terrific ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. Modern Hero vs. Anglo Saxon Hero Essay Today s modern day hero has similarities and differences than the Anglo Saxon hero. The two heroes each have different values they believe in. Also, they are motivated to fight for different reasons. An Anglo Saxon hero also fights differently than a modern day hero. An example of this comparison is Bono from the band U2 and Beowulf. Both modern day heroes, like Bono and Anglo Saxon heroes, like Beowulf, try to improve their societies, but do it in different ways and for different reasons. Anglo Saxon heroes have only a few things in common with modern day heroes. One of the things is that they both want to improve the society that they come from. That I, alone and with the help of my men, may purge all evil from this hall (Raffel ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... He raised his arms and seized her by the shoulder (Raffel 509 510). Beowulf and Anglo Saxon heroes fight their battles with their fists. On the other hand, modern hero fights with their minds. In 1992 Bono took part in a campaign organized by Greenpeace against radioactive pollution (The City Council of Turin, no page). Bono has organized and created many foundations that help and save people all over the world. Another Difference these two types of heroes have is why they fight their battles. I sold my life for this treasure and I sold it well (Raffel 820 821). The Anglo Saxon heroic code states that Anglo Saxon heroes are seeking fortune. Beowulf makes many references in the poem of how he seeks wealth. Modern day heroes are the complete of this. All of Bono s foundations are non profit and the money they raise goes right to various charities. In modern day society it is considered greedy for a celebrity to seek money. On the other hand, it is perfectly normal and accepted for an Anglo Saxon hero to seek wealth. It was respected and not uncommon for an Anglo Saxon hero to boast. This is a major difference between Anglo Saxon heroes and modern day heroes. Bono has not once bragged about all of the good things he has done, or the money he makes. Meanwhile, through out the whole poem Beowulf is bragging about his strengths, riches, and ancestors. All modern day heroes would not be considered heroes ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

It was in these activities I witnessed how calicivirus (non zoonotic) and ringworm (zoonotic) were being spread among the animals due to staff s lack of biosecurity measures. While calicivirus is not a zoonotic disease, it is a highly transmissible disease among cats, especially when proper protocols to prevent spread are not observed. I developed separate flyers for each disease determined with zoonotic potential that was most common in this shelter (ringworm) and most well known (rabies). Copies of the products developed are attached to the end of this report (Appendix 2 3). In the future, if received well, then additional flyers could be created for other zoonotic diseases. INTRODUCTION The past few decades have witnessed the increased internationalization of various firms through cross listings on international exchanges. This has been facilitated by market liberalisation, which has led to greater integration of global securities markets. Cross border listing has become one of the avenues for the integration of global securities markets. There are two forms of cross border listing, namely, direct listing and indirect listing. Direct listing implies that the firm concerned offers ordinary shares to the public. Indirect listing on exchanges is through Depository Receipts (DRs). Depository receipt is a negotiable certificate issued by a bank in a domestic country that represent ownership of shares in companies of other countries. • 29. An Essay On Paleo Diet The paleo diet is an eating plan that will restore your body to the healthy state intended by mother nature, and keep your weight at a healthy level as well. It is predicated on the assertion that by getting back to basics and eating the way our paleolithic ancestors did, we won t be subjecting our bodies to all the chemicals and preservatives in modern foods. It restricts our diet to one similar to the way the cavemen ate. This means eating foods that can be fished out of the river, hunted in the woods, or gathered. Of course, most people don t hunt for their meat these days, so buying lean meat at the grocery store will be fine, preferably meat obtained from grass fed cows. If you buy fish, make sure it s wild and not farm raised. Get you eggs from free range organic chickens. Paleo recipes may also contain nuts, fruits, and vegetables, as long as they re fresh and not canned. Foods to avoid on a paleo eating plan are grains and legumes, most dairy products, refined salt and sugar, white flour, and alcoholic drinks. Paleo meatloaf is made pretty much like regular meatloaf, with a couple of ingredient substitutions. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The only differences in this recipe is the beef should be organic and grass fed. More and more stores now are beginning to carry organic foods, including beef. Another necessary ingredient for a good meat loaf are bread crumbs, but of course bread(or its crumbs) are not allowed in a paleo diet, so we must come up with a substitute if this is to be an authentic paleo meatloaf. For this you could take some oatmeal and grind it in a food processor until it mimics the consistency of bread crumbs. The only other change from a regular meat loaf would be in the type of catsup used. A paleo eating plan cannot include regular store bought catsup because of the high fructose corn syrup and preservatives. So I will include a simple recipe for a concoction that will pass as home made ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 30. Essay On Test Data Generation 2. Related works Some of the recent work related to the automated test data generation is listed below: Search based approaches have been extensively applied to solve the problem of software test data generation. Yet, test data generation for object oriented programming (OOP) is challenging due to the features of OOP, e.g., abstraction, encapsulation, and visibility that prevent direct access to some parts of the source code. To address this problem Abdelilah Sakti et al. [26] have presented an automated search based software test data generation approach that achieves high code coverage for unit class testing. The test data generation problem for unit class testing to generate relevant sequences of method calls were described at first. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... A set of search heuristics targeted to OCL constraints to guide test data generation and automate MBT in industrial applications was proposed. These heuristics for three search algorithms: Genetic Algorithm, (1+1) Evolutionary Algorithm, and Alternating Variable Method were evaluated. Empirically evaluated the heuristics using complex artificial problems, followed by empirical analyses of the feasibility of our approach on one industrial system in the context of robustness testing. A feature model is a compact representation of the products of a software product line. The automated extraction of information from feature models is a thriving topic involving numerous analysis operations, techniques and tools. Performance evaluations in this domain mainly rely on the use of random feature models. However, these only provide a rough idea of the behaviour of the tools with average problems and are not sufficient to reveal their real strengths and weaknesses. Sergio Segura et al. [28] have proposed to model the problem of finding computationally hard feature models as an optimization problem and solved it using a novel evolutionary algorithm for optimized feature models (ETHOM). Tool and an analysis operation were given in ETHOM generated input models of a predefined size maximizing aspects such as the execution time or the memory consumption of the tool when performing the ... Marriages can fail for various reasons and divorces are usually filed. Unfortunately, divorce is becoming more common and normal. When a couple becomes unsatisfied in their marriage for whatever reason, they can file for a No fault divorce. In a No fault divorce, either one spouse or both can file and does not have to prove any fault on account of the other spouse. All the spouse needs to do is give any reason that the state honors for the divorce. When considering a No fault divorce, it is important to first consider the pros and cons. Pros of No Fault Divorce A No fault divorce can be beneficial in many ways such that the divorce process is shorter, depending on the state s law of minimum required days of residence and less expensive due to not having to deal with outrageous lawyer fees. A No fault divorce is also beneficial because privacy is being respected. Spouses do not have to give reasons, point fault, or involve anyone in their personal lives. No fault divorces have also shown less emotional stress and reduced incidents of violence on children and spouses. Children play a big role in divorces. Seeing their parents split up is a ... Getting a No fault divorce is a bad example for your children. Children will grow up to believe that divorce is natural and its okay to get married and divorced several times for unethical reasons. No fault divorces leave both spouses broken hearted, poor, and without custody. Marriage is sacred and we should treat it as ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 32. The Role of Women in World War II Essay How important was the role of women during world war 1 The early rush of volunteers and later the conscription of men led to a shortage of manpower on the home front. Women, already working in munitions factories were encouraged to take on jobs normally done by men. This was the start of major social change. Before the war, women had been content to stay at home to bring up the family and do domestic work. It was considered unbecoming for a woman to work. During the war it was considered unpatriotic not to. Many changes came about as shown by the quote from A. J. P Taylor English History Women became more independent. At the start of the war almost the entire staff of the Glasgow Corporation tramways left to form a special battalion of the Highland Light Infantry. These two commercial expeditions were lead by Rob Hall and Scott Fischer, and were consisted of 20 members. Both leaders were experienced climbers, but due to several factors, the expedition resulted into five deaths including Hall and Fischer. The event has thought managers to evaluate the importance of leadership together with its internal and external factors that managers should consider to survive in the high risk business world. Lack of psychological safety within the team members failed to fix cognitive bias of irrationality. If members developed trust within the team, cognitive bias could have been prevented or at least minimized. The truth that climbers might make irrational decisions and find it hard to turn back when they are so closed to the summit was obvious, but teammates seeing this problem did not speak up since they did not feel that their thoughts were welcome and felt uneasy. More cognitive biases could also been prevented to lessen the complex system of the expedition. Since climbing Mt. Everest is already a high risk venture, any additional problems such as irrational decisions can cause a crisis. Using the early sign of issues with Hall s team s progress, it was obvious that the probability of failing the expedition was high before the team even started. Hall could have used the issues as a sign of the complex systems that exist, and could have used this knowledge to prevent any irrational decisions. The complex systems and the lack of psychological safety also contributed to the tragedy. The team members failed to communicate and trust each other, which then added more problems to the complex systems. For instance, Boukreev s could have spoken up to his team leader, Fischer, about his concerns regarding his team members lacking experience to begin with. By speaking up, he could have prevented more chain reaction due to lack of communications and feedback within the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Being able to communicate and understand one another through words opens up an abundance of doors for humanity. Taking language to the next level was the creation of writing systems. Without a writing system, there would be no way to document important events in history or to record facts that will help with further developments. Writing systems not only help with the present, but with future developments. With a spoken language you are only able to spread facts by word of mouth and eventually things will be forgotten or warped, but with a writing system people are able to compose these things and can be kept intact to be read and used for thousands of years. For example, the words booth and both appear to be very similar, but are vastly different in their definitions. In the Sumerian language, phonemes are mostly used with the vowels of their alphabet. In the English language there are roughly 24 vowel sounds, while Cuneiform contains a mere 8 vowel sounds. Also, there are 14 constants used in Cuneiform: b, p, t, d, g, k, z, s, sh, ch, r, l, m, and n. Sumerians did not use these vowels and constants literally, but were translations made by studying the language. Morphemes are the smallest grammatical units in a language. In The Sumerian language, people used morphemes usually to make a word plural. These are known as plural markers. For example, the s in the word books would be the morpheme that is making the word plural. Morphemes in modern day are much more intricate, but this was the basic use in the fourth millennia. Cuneiform vowels include short a, long a, short e, long e, short i, long i, short u, and long u. Developing A Theory Of Information Science Research Developing a Theory in Information Science Research: A Review of Experts Advice Abstract Despite the growing number of theories within the field of information science, it still remains a difficult task for some emerging scholars in the field to clearly articulate the development of new theories from research studies. This paper reviewed and collated the different views of scholars on what a theory is and how a good theory can be developed. It explains the concept of a theory and the different components that make up a theory. The paper discusses the different processes of theory development by emphasizing what theory is and what theory is not. This review found that scholars differ in their definition of a theory, which led to using terms such as model, paradigm, framework and theory interchangeably. It found the lack of theoretical construct in a study to be one of the factors why articles are rejected for publication. It pointed that producing a paper that contributes to theory rests on the ability of scholars to develop original and new ideas that bring something insightful into scholarship, which can be applied to bring about fresh thinking. This paper may be of benefit to researchers, especially younger academics who are the future of scholarship in the field of information science and other disciplines. Introduction Studies with strong theoretical perspectives are often regarded as adding value to any field of learning. It is therefore essential for scholars ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
