Computer Network Topology Essay
NETWORK TOPOLOGIES
Computer network topology is an extension of basic topology. In this discipline we examine the
configuration of computer system elements and their interconnections of network lattice. Physical
network topology deals with the hardware components associated with the computer system including
workstations, servers, remote terminals and the cabling associated with them. Logical network
topology deals with representation of data flow between nodes which can be dynamically reconfigured
once the selected network equipment such as router is available.
Figure: 1
Bus topology:
In this topology, a single cable is used to connect all the nodes/devices on the network. This cable is
also called the network backbone. The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When the traffic intensity between the nodes is large then this topology is preferable. In this topology,
a certain proportion of nodes have multiple paths to another destination node. Each of the traditional
network topologies (Bus, Ring, Star and tree network topologies) had only single path from message
source to message destination. Since Mesh Network topology provides multiple paths from source to
destination so that greatly reduces the probability of single point network failure. The advantage of
mesh network over other networks is that source node determines the best suitable route from source
to destination based on factors such as connectivity, speed and pending node activities. Mesh topology
is not cost effective, this proves to be a major disadvantage for setting up the network. Another
disadvantage of this type of network is the need of a routing algorithm by each node for path
computation. When each node in the network is directly connected to every other node then it is called
a full mesh. This type of network topology works best with small number of nodes in the network.
When some nodes in the network are indirectly connected to other nodes in the network then it is
called partial mesh. Figure 1 provides an example of both partial and full mesh

How To Create Suspense In Ray Bradbury s Graveyard For...
Ray Bradbury brings life to each and every book he writes including his book a Graveyard for
Lunatics. This is an exciting mystery/ thriller that literally brings the pages to life, along with the
characters and overall story. Graveyard for Lunatics can be placed in many different genres but the
more suited is mystery. Mystery is all about how they reveal the ending to you, they make you guess
yourself and it creates suspense along the way. I will unravel the mystery of what is really underneath
this book and all the hidden terms that come with it. The book commences in Hollywood at Maximus
films set across the street from a graveyard. A writer that works at the company receives a letter that
tells him to go to the cemetery after work. He decides to go late at night, only to find a man on a
ladder frozen dead. As lightning ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Once he arrived he found himself in front of the former boss of the Maximus film company. But that s
not where the excitement happens. The climax is when Roy gets fired from his job at the studios and
is found in his apartment hanging from his ceiling. When his friend dies he begins to look for the
killer. The language and detail that is crammed into this one book is outstanding.an example might be
The Beast towered over him, his fists trembling, his body rocking back and forth, in and out of
control. Page 68. It describes every element and literary terms that are in here but also figures out a
way to make it short to the point. This example is shown on page 11 which tells of a flashback of him

the week you were killed, twenty years ago... and page 54 shows sensory imagery The blood burned in

The Music Of The 1930 S
The 1930 s was a decade of extremely hard times, following the stock market crash and an extreme
depression. In spite of the tremendous hardships in America during this decade, it also became a time
of great music that is still remembered today. Jazz music was highly popular in this time, and Billie
Holiday was a famous jazz performer. She stood out from many other musicians because of her
intense and passionate performances. Jazz arose from unacceptable segments of society, but quickly
grew like wildfire. We often think of the 1930 s as the decade that jazz became civilized, and famous
throughout popular culture through the work of pioneering artists like Billie Holiday. People did not
own televisions or cable, so radio was their main source of entertainment, and music during this
decade was both up beat and a source of relaxation. Strange Fruit defied musical category because it
was considered too artsy to be folk, and too explicitly political to fit into jazz. This is why Strange
Fruit became such a powerful phenomenon. Many other artists later took on this song, changing the
genre but still portraying the same message. Nina Simone dramatized Strange Fruit in the context of
the Civil Rights Movement. More important artists like Jeff Buckley, Rene Marie, Labor Camp
Orchestra, and many others made their own rendition on the song, still leaving all of their audiences
moved by the powerful imagery of the lyrics. Strange Fruit , the haunting ballad recorded by

Walking In The City Analysis
The desire for a Utopian city is not a surprising aspiration. While in an ideal world cities could be
plotted and planned out perfectly, the readings from this week explore why this is not productive to
attempt in society, and also discuss the problems with city planning and government policies. While
the readings do not necessarily complement each other entirely, they all appear to be speaking for the
same message. The rigorous structure and planning, whether by city planners or government
organizations, is toxic to urban life, as it has aided racial segregation, disrupted the natural flow and
security of city dwellers, and created a divided metropolis (Sugrue). The reading from Kenneth
Jackson, titled Race, Ethnicity, and Real Estate ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Jacobs condemns the Monotony, sterility, and vulgarity of current urban structuring and well planned
out cities, such as Le Corbusier s radiant city, that are destroying the culture and order that are
essential to diverse city life (Jacobs). Jacobs highlights that the social structure of pavement life hangs
partly on what can be called self appointed public characters, and therefore city planning involving set
structures and pretended order disrupts this essential social format. Jacobs also explores the
discriminatory attitudes towards immigrants and slums, as the readings from Jackson and Segue did.
Jacobs discusses the north end of Boston and it s improper labelling. The north end was regarded as
slum and a place full of immigrants, but went Jacobs went to see for herself, she discovered a strong
community, infectious laughter, and children playing a far cry from the label society had placed upon
it. When asking if there was any possibility of getting a loan for new construction in north end, she
was dismissed with only the words that s a slum (Jacobs), demonstrating the misconception and bias
towards various communities that erroneous city planning has

Petersel On Peds
Zach Petersel, in his essay, Here s Why Suspensions Won t Deter PED users Like Maria Sharapova,
claims that the risk and rewards of using performing enhancing drugs (PEDs) is unbalanced and needs
to change. He adopts a slight angry tone in order to appeal that big name athletes caught using PEDs
don t face major consequences. He uses this tone to appeal to readers who might also want change in
this topic. This feature should be printed in The Shorthorn because it will prompt students to look at
this issue in a deeper sense and see exactly how important this issue affects an individual and sport. In
this essay, I will talk about how Petersel talked about Sharapova use of PEDs, how Petersel responds

(2) A incremental change is very small when compared to a rapid exponential change. He contends
that athletes will continue to take PEDs until they are caught. That was the case of Maria Sharapova.
She began taking Meldonium, a PED, before it was banned and continued to use it afterwards until she
got caught for using it. Petersel believes that the suspensions are lousy way to punish athletes taking
dangerous PEDs while they acknowledge the consequences. Throughout his piece, Petersel uses many
reasons to support his claim and evidences to support his reasons. In the third paragraph, he uses
logical appeals by informing that suspensions don t affect the life of an athlete as it should for taking a
PED. He includes that Sharapova made about 30 million last year and she only lost some sponsors.
She already has a business called, Sugarpova, which sells candies and expects revenue of 20 million
by 2018. He includes visual pieces throughout his article to keep the reader engaged in the writing. In

Examples Of Characterization In Edgar Allan Poe
What is characterization: Characterization is the method by which the author shows the personality of
a character. Characterization is presented in two ways, both directly and indirectly. This presentation
will go over How direct and indirect characterization is presented in Poe s Stories
Edgar Allan Poe:
After having read some of his short stories, The first idea that comes to others and myself when
hearing the name Poe is images of madmen, murders with blood all over, the idea of characters
coming back to life and very bad endings. He was known to have written short stories, novels, a book

The denotation of this passage is the fact that the main character had come home drunk and literally
just used a knife to take one eyeball off the cat. In this passage, we see visual imagery because the
author describes in detail the state in which the author enters the house, the way he picks up the cat,
and the way he kills the cat, which makes the character seem even more insane. For the direct
characterization of the main character, we can see that he is a drunk and likes when people avoid him.
He also has a problem with his identity and states that he forgot his true self the moment before taking
the cat s eyeballs out. As for the indirect characterization, the main character becomes a very
aggressive person after alcohol consumption since he seizes the cat from the throat and tries to abuse
him. The main character can also be characterised as an insane person with weird and mad ways in
abusing a creature since he pops the cat s eyes out. The cat might also be characterised as a strong cat
that defends itself since it scratches his hand with its

Abstract: This study was carried out to evaluate the effects of adding polyethylene glycol (PEG 4000),
sodium bentonite to Acacia saligna hay as a roughage in the diet to deactivate it s content of tannins.
Twenty healthy growing Barki lambs averaged of 30.90±4.63 Kg body weight were randomly divided
into four groups (five animals of each) in fattening trial lasted for 180 days. Nutrients digestibility,
nitrogen balance, blood serum metabolites, rumen parameters, weight changes and average daily gain
(ADG) were determined.
Animal groups were fed on concentrate feed mixture (CFM)+ berseem hay (G1), CFM + acacia hay
(G2), G2 diet + 5% PEG (G3) and G2 diet + 4% bentonite (G4). Results revealed that group one had
higher values of digestibility coefficients for DM, OM, CP, CF, EE and NFE than the other groups. All

Larry Kramer s The Normal Heart
As Berkshire now goes onto its second night of performing the Normal Heart one can see why a
school would choses to perform such an incredible, beautiful and heart wrenching play. There is much
to learn from Kramer s work: fear, courage, family and love. Today the play, which first daybued in
1985 still has meaning and content that anyone can learn from. While the Normal Heart does not have
the answer to how to help oneself or group of friends about discriminations against minorities,
Krammer does teach the most important thing to do is stay as a united front and do not let any
adversities hold you down.

The characters in his story are real men who either died or fought for those who did die during the
AIDs crisis in 1981. While I struggled with fully connecting with most of the characters due to the fact
that I have never been faced with an issue so large. An issue so large that in the first year of the
outbreak there were 121 reported deaths among gays. The character I can relate to the most is the main
character: Ned. The reason I found myself being able to stand in Ned s shoes is due to is undying will
to win. Ned gave up everything to fight for a cause that had no cure. He gave up even his friends who
were to scared to fight with him. Even though I have not found something that I am will to give

Manifest Destiny In Laura Ingalls Wilder s Little House On...
The level of entitlement involved in Manifest Destiny might be considered childish when boiled down
to the brass ideas around why the Americans of the nineteenth century felt promised to connect The
east coast to the west coast, but the way in which Wilder shows this infant demand for the entire
continent seems almost puritan in nature. Through the innocent perspectives of Laura and her siblings,
the reader of Laura Ingalls Wilder s Little House on the Prairie, is presented with an edited first hand
response to the dogmatism of manifest destiny by means of overcoming every obstacle ever so
seamlessly and the confusion of why they are allowed to just settle the west under new ownership.
This concept of the promised people, the American people, being blessed with God s grace of
overcoming the odds of settling in this harsh environment is basically a predetermined mentality of
inevitability set forth by the puritans that are the backbone of the society in the novel. This entire
attitude can be outlined in the catch phrase of the entire novel: All s well that ends well, (Ingalls 24). It
doesn t matter if it s a flash flood, a pack of wolves, carbon monoxide, native americans or even
wildfires, for the Ingalls, representing the western American settler culture as an ideal whole, the odds
are in their favor, despite the harsh reality of the indifferent environment. They might be afraid in the
moments that decide if they flourish or perish, but the family as a whole is never

Inequality And Oppression
The aim of this essay is to address the problem of inequality and oppression through three separate
texts, The Second Sex, The Death of the Profane and Killing Rage. The Second Sex focuses on the
woman and her role compared to man. The Death of the Profane and Killing Rage are both texts that
describe experiences about the constant racism felt by blacks. To thoroughly examine these texts and
how they are related to oppression and inequality it is important to first define what each mean.
Oppression and inequality each have different definitions but they go hand in hand. Oppression is the
state of being subject to prolonged unjust treatment. While inequality is defined as lacking equality,
equality is the state of being equal especially in status, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Simone de Beauvoir focuses on women and their permanent otherness, women will always be this
other . They are never the subject or absolute like man is. This constant oppression of women is
different of others, women are not a minority, they are numerically almost equal to man and yet man
has still been able to create dominance over them. Man is the superior, they are the absolute and
women are the other. Oppositely, bell hooks and Patricia Williams speak on the inequality of
minorities, specifically blacks. Racism and killing rage are heavily connected. Racism is strong and
deep; it is the phantom in the room. Killing rage is a rage that is felt after constant unjust treatment, it
is a rage that is healing. This killing rage should be viewed as a passion for freedom. I think a passion
for freedom should be the forefront change. This passion for freedom can be connected to each author.
A passion for freedom can aid in changing the permanent otherness women have faced and continue to
face. Otherness is expressed through inequalities in pay and the way women are viewed. Simone de
Beauvoir s text brought up important and relevant inequalities women and minorities face. Patricia
Williams text focusing on the inequality blacks face is relevant and important. Again a passion for
freedom from oppression and inequality should be expressed. By Patricia Williams continually

George S Patton Rhetorical Analysis
The best leaders understand that their power comes from those that they lead. In the throes of World
War II, the army was under new management; a U.S. general by the name of George S. Patton took
command of the Third Army before the allies invaded France. In assuming this power, it was
necessary to convince the soldiers in that army to follow him, possibly to their own deaths. By
analyzing the direct syntax, formatting shift in point of view, and abrasive language, it is evident that
Patton asserts that he must be respected in order to gain the soldiers trust. By utilizing short and direct
syntax, Patton cuts all verbosity, allowing him to effectively assert his authority and qualifications as
the commander of the Third Army. Patton uses sentences such as I am here because of the confidence
of two men: The president of the United States and the theater commander. The syntax is very matter
of fact, which accomplishes two purposes. One purpose is to project that he doesn t have time for b.s.
and that he is to the point and overt. Not bureaucratic in the slightest. The other purpose is to establish
his own credibility through dropping the president and the theater commander as references for
qualification. He also states both were wrong, in reference to those who believed that the allies
wouldn t fight back. This direct statement leaves no room for contention, which institutes Patton s
sense of conviction and authority. In addition, the direct syntax allows for brutal

The Impact Of The Great Pyramids Of Egypt And The Pyramids
What makes up a pyramid? 12 lines, 5 faces, 4 triangles, 1 base, and 5 vertexes and in the case of the
Great Pyramids of Giza about 2.3 million stone blocks that weigh an average of 2.5 to 15 tons. That
according to the time it took to build them they would have had to place and set a stone every 2 to 2
and a half minutes. To put that in perspective some weigh as much or more than an armed military
cargo truck. So, imagine dragging a cargo truck with nothing but some strong rope and some other
people. Now if you re like most people you can lift maybe 100 pounds. However, the average
powerlifter can lift 350 to 400 pounds and that s just lift not pack around or drag across acres of land.
Now how did the Egyptians build the Great Pyramid of Giza with blocks that weigh up to 15 tons with
the technology they had then? It s clearly very obtuse to think the pyramids were built by the
Egyptians and the Egyptians alone. The question is, who helped them? I ll tell you who helped them.
It was the beings that have been erased from human history, the ones hiding amongst the stars at all
this time watching us. The ones that stop by to build their structures, while casually using our
resources. The ones that built Stonehenge, the Pyramids, the face on Mars, Easter island, and the ones
that make the crop circles, the Aliens. The aliens have been there all along ever so subtly leaving us
messages too advanced for us to understand helping the hard workers build their so called sacred
structures . Were the aliens just being neighborly trying to help or did they have more incentive? The
aliens had more than enough incentive to help build these structures, especially the pyramids. They
took advantage of the Egyptians need for a sacred place to bury their kings and the obtuse triangle
formed by Orion s Belt. They lined up the structures with the stars of Orion s Belt to create the energy
column. Then, they created a complex tunnel system, so no one could ever find their transporter and
then they left through the triangular column that forms between the pyramids and Orion. Only to be
able to return or communicate at night when the column reforms. Who do they communicate with,
you may ask? The governments,

The Effects Of Video Games On The Psyche Of Kids And...
Since video games are a relatively new medium of artistic expression and entertainment, not much is
known about the effects of continual exposure to them, especially at a young age. The effects of
violent media on the psyche of kids and adolescents has been a pressing concern for many years now,
as stated in a study conducted by Tortolero et al. (2014), where it is observed that most other studies
done on the subject of video games were mainly focused on aggression (p.609). In the current attempt
to identify a relationship between video games and the attitudes of youths, the researchers have
decided to instead focus on levels of depressive symptoms and the amount of time spent playing video
games through a cross sectional analysis (Tortolero et al., p.609). The researchers have focused on the
branch of psychology focused on mental health, clinical psychology (King, 2014, p.16), and the
psychological problems associated with prolonged exposure to violent video games, specifically in
preadolescents. The study was meant to observe the levels of depressive symptoms in children who
played violent video games using the Major Depressive Disorder Scale of the DISC Predictive Scales
to identify these symptoms which included lack of pleasure, lack of interest in activities, concentration
difficulties, low energy, low self worth, and suicidal ideation (Tortelo et al., 2014, p.610 611).

This study represents a parallel to the behavior found in incarcerated humans. Jails cause the same
psychological side effects as prisons, to a smaller degree, in the effects of being en caged, however,
the overall standard of living in jails is much higher. There is a decent relationship between the guards
and the jailers. The jailers are allowed to interact with the same people on their block between
lockdown times. Lock down is when the jailers are confined to their cells, usually at night and for a
short while in the day, during a change of shift. This method allows inmates to play cards, watch TV
together and at very least walk around something else besides their cell. The prison system, however,
usually remains in lockdown all the time, although they can speak to each other, they usually can t see
each other without a mirror. Observing these two methods, and what little problems there are in jails
as opposed to prisons leads me to believe that if you treat a human being like a human being they will
act like a human being. If you lock them in a cage all day they may as well act like an animal. (Prison
Activist Resource Center, 1 3) People sometimes argue this case stating that the offenses committed
by jailers are less serious than by prisoners and that prisons are more hostile because they house the
more serious offenders. These people forget that jails hold people before they are

Essay On An Occurrence At Owl Creek Bridge
Death Is a Reality, No One Can Escape It
An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge, directed by Robert Enrico, depicts an occurrence in the mind of
Peyton Farquhar. He is a civilian who tampers with the Union s railroad system and is going to be
hanged, and all he can think about is escaping and getting home to his wife. Unfortunately, death is a
reality and no one can escape it.
One of the first occurrences that is a reference to death is at the beginning of the movie. As stated by
the Sobchack s, In the opening sequence a man is being prepared for a military execution at dawn
(27). Most of the time dawn is thought of as signaling a new day and people are happy to have woken
up that morning, however, that is not the case for Peyton Farquhar because he is about to die.
Another detail of nature that is used to express this theme is the fact that the seasons keep changing. In
the introductory scene the trees are slightly barren like it is late fall, but after Peyton escapes it is
suddenly springtime. This is probably a detail put in by the director to emphasise that late fall and
early winter are usually depicted as the times that plants die. Mr. Enrico is also using the fact that
every time Peyton thinks that he has ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The first one is right after he leaves the beach and he is running past a grove of dead trees, which is a
physical representation that death is creeping up on him even though he is trying to get away. Then the
second instance is when he is running down the tunnel of tree to his driveway. Behind him at the far
end of the tunnel there is light, but the end that Peyton is running towards is nothing but a dark void.
This is a hidden meaning in reference to what happens when people die and they say that their going
toward the light. Peyton doesn t want to die; so, he is trying to get as far away from the light at the end
of the tunnel as fast as he

Higher Education Act Of 1965 Analysis
students needing help to acquire a postsecondary credential (Wheelan). After primary schooling it is
then even harder to find funding to educate oneself, and the natural instinct is to look directly at the
government for assistance. The Higher Education Act of 1965 intends to strengthen educational
resources of colleges and universities to provide financial assistance for students in post secondary
and higher education. Not being revised often this act had changes in 1998, 2003 and most recently in
2008 where many sections were renewed. In addition the College Cost Reduction and Access ACT

Why Is Courage Being Scared To Death And Saddling Up Anyway
Courage is being scared to death... and saddling up anyway John Wayne. This quote is very true.
Courage is persevering through tough times and facing your fears. These fears don t have to be great
but they can be little things like getting your first shot or learning how to ride a bike. Courage comes
in all shapes and sizes. No, this essay is not about me saving someone s life. Or maybe risking my
own for someone else s. No, this essay is about something smaller. It s about me being scared to death
but saddling up anyway.
One hot sunny day in Orlando Florida, Disney World to be exact, 2011 a young girl about the age of
seven was having a debate with her mother on whether to ride a rollercoaster or not.
Should we go? It seems pretty scary and plus I m not sure I m tall enough to ride. I said
Oh you are plenty tall, and it will be fun. C mon what s the worst that could happen. replied my mom.

was one bigger, faster, and more frightening than all the rest. The blue one as Brianna called it. That
roller coaster had people from all over coming to ride it but Brianna was a little hesitant. The
argument soon came to an end when Brianna had ran out of possibilities of what bad could happen
and her mother urged her to take a risk and have a little courage. So soon enough they made their way

5 Stages Of Decomposition Research Paper
On December 11, 2008 skeletal remains of a young child were found by an utility worker. By the time
the worker had discovered the remains it had went through 5 stages of decomposition. The 1st stage
starts when the person dies (Csanyi). The 1st stage consists of enzymes in dead body cells start
breaking down tissues which is known as autolysis. While this is going on bacteria in the digestive
track start to eat the intestines. The 1st stage is called the fresh stage which can last for 1 2 days,
unless of course the body is in a hot and humid area (Csanyi). Also at this stage chemical released start
to attract flies. The 2nd stage that the body went through is called the putrefaction or the bloated stage
(Csanyi). As the internal bacteria form the intestines start to enter the rest of the body, it causes the
body to fill with gasses and as this happens the body begins to swell. The smell that comes from this
stage is what attracts egg laying insects most of which are blow flies (Csanyi). The 3rd stage of
decomposition that the body went through while at the dump site is what is known as the purging or
decay stage (Csanyi). During this stage of the process fluids form inside the body start too come out of
the body through the nose or mouth or through breaks in the abdominal wall and through any soft
tissue as the decomposition progresses (Csanyi). Larval ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

This is a race that is categorized by its ability to be completely unpredictable. Why walk and turn left
or right, jog or run, go fast or slow, why do any of the things you do and when you do them? Life is
full of choices, as humans we ve a right to take advantage of the many possibilities. There can t be any
one incentive. As people of many choices, it is us that decide what the temptation to lie is, and there
always is one.
People have made every excuse for their behavior. In which case, a less than truthful approach has
always seemed appealing. They don t want to hurt their loved ones, the truth can hurt, they didn t
think of it as lying at the time, they thought nobody would get hurt, it seemed fun at the time, they
were trying to protect someone, they were afraid, etc. At the core of it all, the only reason a liar lies is
for self preservation. When someone is insincere they are so because they believe that is their only
way out or because that is easier. Lying is never simple.
Who lies? From mothers to fathers, children to brothers and sisters, everybody lies. In a few
interviews of the college students in the University of Dayton, the results of inquiries about why lying
is bad, proved inconclusive. Many people believe that there is a distinction between being dishonest
and telling lies. Yet, at the root of the problem is the lack of understanding that there is

Speech On Post Impressionism
Theory History of Art: Group presentations

VA 2.4
Good morning to everyone. Today, we will be delving into the topic of post impressionism, and
specifically on Vincent Van Gogh.
Beginning slide (Slide: Jewel)
What is the context of the art movement? (Tricia, Slide: Tricia)
Post impressionism, which was primarily a French art movement, developed approximately between
1886 and 1905. Subdivisions of Post impressionism include Divisionism and Pointillism, which
involves using dots and patches of color to form a picture. Due to these characteristics, post
impressionism ushered in a new era of painting, and paved the way for many future art movements
such as fauvism and cubism.
Its antecedent being Impressionism, post impressionism contains traces of elements from that
movement, but has its own diverging styles too. For example, the main difference between
impressionism and post impressionism is that wh impressionism emphasised on accurately depicting
light and its changing qualities, post impressionism focused on showing the artist s memories and their
emotions. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

One of the main characteristics of post impressionism is the use of pure and rich colours which are
applied thickly, forming multiple layers of paint. Not only is it applied to formed thick layers, the
paint is applied in short, swift brushstrokes. Structure and form are heavily present in post
impressionism artworks. On top of that, post impressionism artworks tend to more expression of
emotions. This was due to the fact that artists focused on using symbolic and personal meanings in
hopes of connecting with the viewer on a deeper and less impersonal

Similarities Between The Inner And Outer Planets
Our solar system consists of one star and some debris, said Carl Sagan. There are many differences
and similarities between the Inner and Outer planets. Our solar system is comprised of the Sun being
in the middle, then followed by planets rotating it. The planets which orbit the Sun are Mercury,
Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. The Inner planets are very different from
Outer planets and the Outer planets are completely different from Inner planets, but both are very
similar in many ways. Our planets in the solar system have many similarities and differences.
First of all, Inner planets are different from Outer planets in many ways. The surface of Inner planets
compared to Outer planets are rocky, Inner planets are denser, all the Inner planets are in the asteroid
belt. The Cosmos is all that is or was or ever will be. Our feeblest contemplations of the Cosmos stir
us there is a tingling in the spine, a catch in the voice, a faint sensation as if a distant memory, of
falling from a height. We know we are approaching the greatest of mysteries. Carl Sagan. There is
nothing more than what there is. The surface of the Inner planets is very different from those of the
Outer planets because, Earth compared to Uranus is completely different due to Uranus being mostly
made out of gas. The Inner planets are also much denser than Outer planets. For example, Venus
average density is 5.24g/cm3 as opposed to Neptune which is 1.33g/cm3. Lastly,

Keiurig Green Mountain Coffee Marketing Strategy
Coffee is a highly recognised aphrodisiac: the caffeine in the coffee endorses hormones that create
sexual drive. But, if you re looking to get laid tonight, don t choose Keurig Green Mountain coffee for

Keurig is a nationally renowned company. It was founded by some guy somewhere, that nobody really
cares about, and apparently he liked coffee. And apparently it wasn t a passion strong enough to make
good coffee. As of today the company has sold out 80 various brands and demeaned their 575
beverage varieties. Some of the the brands include, Van Houtte, Donut House, Tierney s Iced Tea Co.,
Green Mountain Coffee, and Starbucks. Truthfully, I ve never even heard of half of these companies
that must explain the situation. As for the Keurig brewing system, it is specialized in making tea, iced

providing consumers with high quality houseware goods in a no frills, value priced environment, but
Linens n Things decision to build centralized warehouses that seemed consistent with a cost
leadership strategy ended up bringing it into direct competition with Target and Walmart while as you

decentralization in decision making, which made allowing more store level decision making and
greater customization to local shoppers tastes. As a result, Bed Bath and Beyond was able to better tell
itself apart from Walmart and Target. Bed Bath and Beyond s market capitalization was approximately
$10.7 billion, while there stores where open Linens n Things had just been acquired for $1.3 billion by

Race Representation In American Cinema
be done has seemingly been done before (*cough* Sharknado). After watching Get Out and eagerly
convincing everyone I knew to go see it (including you!), I found that my requests were met with
concern as many said oh, I do not like scary movies. It is unfortunate that so many would forgo seeing
the movie in light of someone s preconceived idea of what a horror movie is. The entire genre is
compartmentalized into a one size fits all description and what arises out of this generalization is an
entire group of people who miss out on seeing a good film and instead see some sequel, prequel,
reboot, spinoff, remake of a franchise film that only feeds into big studio cinema. At this point I would

The term became popular when it was adopted by the Black Lives Matter movement and is a lyrics in
the chorus of Childish Gambino/Donald Glover s song Redbone that appears at the start of the film.
There is an evident in the connections that black filmmaker s make by using music made by black
musicians (Taylor). The score is a formative and fundamental reference for black art (ibid). In Get
Out, Jordan Peele wanted to have a noticeable presence of Afro music that would be more than an
assemblage of music backing a motion picture. The main theme music in the film is a Swahili song
entitled Sikiliza Kwa Wahenga (Something Bad Is Coming Run in English) that represents black lives
lost to slavery and other wrongdoings. The song plays in the developmental scenes where audiences
are not yet aware of the dangers Chris is in. Some of the lyrics translate to save yourself and listen to
your ancestors. Michael Abels is the orchestral and choral composer for the film and was instrumental
in creating a soundtrack that has black roots but also presents a lack of optimism that is needed in a
horror movie. It was his first every film score and proved to be a difficult feat, as a lot of African
American music typically sounds hopeful and upbeat. In order to achieve this

Robin Hood Prince Of Thieves And Robin Hood Comparison
As seen in several movie remakes of timeless classics, things change. Sometimes we see characters,
scenes, or endings change for the better, though it s no secret that the change usually just ruins the
story all together. In Robin Hood Prince of Thieves, Robin Hood sets off on a journey to defeat the
Sheriff of Nottingham. But, did the writers of the movie stay true to his legend or did they completely
change him for the better of a politically correct movie. In the film adaptation, Robin Hood Prince of
Thieves, The director chose to displace scenes, adapting each character to speak perfect english, and
chose to spare some of the bloody details making Robin Hood the true hero of the story. Though this
made the film enjoyable for audiences, the director failed to stay true to the Classic Robin Hood Tale.

This experiment demonstrated the separation of pigments based on relative polarity and proved to be a
substantial way to separate compounds. The results were much like that of an experiment performed,

demonstrated in this experiment. The technique was followed as to prevent contamination and deliver
the right amount of solution each time (John Husler: 1983).

Imagine being backed into a corner and your opponent is closing ground. Right now you re sweating

generation is quick to use violence to resolve issues instead of using their words, and i am inclined to
believe that it has to do with the fact that they do not know how to have a civilized debate. This is
where debate comes into play, debate is when you argue against an opponent trying to prove that your
right and your opponent is wrong. I have been in debate almost my entire highschool term and i can
honestly say that debate has gotten me out of many sticky situations for the simple fact i knew how to

  • 2. Computer Network Topology Essay NETWORK TOPOLOGIES Computer network topology is an extension of basic topology. In this discipline we examine the configuration of computer system elements and their interconnections of network lattice. Physical network topology deals with the hardware components associated with the computer system including workstations, servers, remote terminals and the cabling associated with them. Logical network topology deals with representation of data flow between nodes which can be dynamically reconfigured once the selected network equipment such as router is available. Figure: 1 Bus topology: In this topology, a single cable is used to connect all the nodes/devices on the network. This cable is also called the network backbone. The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... When the traffic intensity between the nodes is large then this topology is preferable. In this topology, a certain proportion of nodes have multiple paths to another destination node. Each of the traditional network topologies (Bus, Ring, Star and tree network topologies) had only single path from message source to message destination. Since Mesh Network topology provides multiple paths from source to destination so that greatly reduces the probability of single point network failure. The advantage of mesh network over other networks is that source node determines the best suitable route from source to destination based on factors such as connectivity, speed and pending node activities. Mesh topology is not cost effective, this proves to be a major disadvantage for setting up the network. Another disadvantage of this type of network is the need of a routing algorithm by each node for path computation. When each node in the network is directly connected to every other node then it is called a full mesh. This type of network topology works best with small number of nodes in the network. When some nodes in the network are indirectly connected to other nodes in the network then it is called partial mesh. Figure 1 provides an example of both partial and full mesh ... • 3. How To Create Suspense In Ray Bradbury s Graveyard For... Ray Bradbury brings life to each and every book he writes including his book a Graveyard for Lunatics. This is an exciting mystery/ thriller that literally brings the pages to life, along with the characters and overall story. Graveyard for Lunatics can be placed in many different genres but the more suited is mystery. Mystery is all about how they reveal the ending to you, they make you guess yourself and it creates suspense along the way. I will unravel the mystery of what is really underneath this book and all the hidden terms that come with it. The book commences in Hollywood at Maximus films set across the street from a graveyard. A writer that works at the company receives a letter that tells him to go to the cemetery after work. He decides to go late at night, only to find a man on a ladder frozen dead. As lightning ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Once he arrived he found himself in front of the former boss of the Maximus film company. But that s not where the excitement happens. The climax is when Roy gets fired from his job at the studios and is found in his apartment hanging from his ceiling. When his friend dies he begins to look for the killer. The language and detail that is crammed into this one book is outstanding.an example might be The Beast towered over him, his fists trembling, his body rocking back and forth, in and out of control. Page 68. It describes every element and literary terms that are in here but also figures out a way to make it short to the point. This example is shown on page 11 which tells of a flashback of him as a child Last time I saw you I was thirteen years old on my roller skates in front of the Film Studio, the week you were killed, twenty years ago... and page 54 shows sensory imagery The blood burned in my cheeks. • 4. The Music Of The 1930 S The 1930 s was a decade of extremely hard times, following the stock market crash and an extreme depression. In spite of the tremendous hardships in America during this decade, it also became a time of great music that is still remembered today. Jazz music was highly popular in this time, and Billie Holiday was a famous jazz performer. She stood out from many other musicians because of her intense and passionate performances. Jazz arose from unacceptable segments of society, but quickly grew like wildfire. We often think of the 1930 s as the decade that jazz became civilized, and famous throughout popular culture through the work of pioneering artists like Billie Holiday. People did not own televisions or cable, so radio was their main source of entertainment, and music during this decade was both up beat and a source of relaxation. Strange Fruit defied musical category because it was considered too artsy to be folk, and too explicitly political to fit into jazz. This is why Strange Fruit became such a powerful phenomenon. Many other artists later took on this song, changing the genre but still portraying the same message. Nina Simone dramatized Strange Fruit in the context of the Civil Rights Movement. More important artists like Jeff Buckley, Rene Marie, Labor Camp Orchestra, and many others made their own rendition on the song, still leaving all of their audiences moved by the powerful imagery of the lyrics. • 5. Walking In The City Analysis The desire for a Utopian city is not a surprising aspiration. While in an ideal world cities could be plotted and planned out perfectly, the readings from this week explore why this is not productive to attempt in society, and also discuss the problems with city planning and government policies. While the readings do not necessarily complement each other entirely, they all appear to be speaking for the same message. The rigorous structure and planning, whether by city planners or government organizations, is toxic to urban life, as it has aided racial segregation, disrupted the natural flow and security of city dwellers, and created a divided metropolis (Sugrue). The reading from Kenneth Jackson, titled Race, Ethnicity, and Real Estate ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Jacobs condemns the Monotony, sterility, and vulgarity of current urban structuring and well planned out cities, such as Le Corbusier s radiant city, that are destroying the culture and order that are essential to diverse city life (Jacobs). Jacobs highlights that the social structure of pavement life hangs partly on what can be called self appointed public characters, and therefore city planning involving set structures and pretended order disrupts this essential social format. Jacobs also explores the discriminatory attitudes towards immigrants and slums, as the readings from Jackson and Segue did. Jacobs discusses the north end of Boston and it s improper labelling. The north end was regarded as slum and a place full of immigrants, but went Jacobs went to see for herself, she discovered a strong community, infectious laughter, and children playing a far cry from the label society had placed upon it. When asking if there was any possibility of getting a loan for new construction in north end, she was dismissed with only the words that s a slum (Jacobs), demonstrating the misconception and bias towards various communities that erroneous city planning has ... He adopts a slight angry tone in order to appeal that big name athletes caught using PEDs don t face major consequences. He uses this tone to appeal to readers who might also want change in this topic. This feature should be printed in The Shorthorn because it will prompt students to look at this issue in a deeper sense and see exactly how important this issue affects an individual and sport. He contends that athletes will continue to take PEDs until they are caught. That was the case of Maria Sharapova. She began taking Meldonium, a PED, before it was banned and continued to use it afterwards until she got caught for using it. Petersel believes that the suspensions are lousy way to punish athletes taking dangerous PEDs while they acknowledge the consequences. Throughout his piece, Petersel uses many reasons to support his claim and evidences to support his reasons. In the third paragraph, he uses logical appeals by informing that suspensions don t affect the life of an athlete as it should for taking a PED. He includes that Sharapova made about 30 million last year and she only lost some sponsors. She already has a business called, Sugarpova, which sells candies and expects revenue of 20 million by 2018. In this passage, we see visual imagery because the author describes in detail the state in which the author enters the house, the way he picks up the cat, and the way he kills the cat, which makes the character seem even more insane. For the direct characterization of the main character, we can see that he is a drunk and likes when people avoid him. He also has a problem with his identity and states that he forgot his true self the moment before taking the cat s eyeballs out. As for the indirect characterization, the main character becomes a very aggressive person after alcohol consumption since he seizes the cat from the throat and tries to abuse him. While the Normal Heart does not have the answer to how to help oneself or group of friends about discriminations against minorities, Krammer does teach the most important thing to do is stay as a united front and do not let any adversities hold you down. The reason I found myself being able to stand in Ned s shoes is due to is undying will to win. Ned gave up everything to fight for a cause that had no cure. He gave up even his friends who were to scared to fight with him. Even though I have not found something that I am will to give everything in my life up for; including my friends. • 13. Manifest Destiny In Laura Ingalls Wilder s Little House On... The level of entitlement involved in Manifest Destiny might be considered childish when boiled down to the brass ideas around why the Americans of the nineteenth century felt promised to connect The east coast to the west coast, but the way in which Wilder shows this infant demand for the entire continent seems almost puritan in nature. Through the innocent perspectives of Laura and her siblings, the reader of Laura Ingalls Wilder s Little House on the Prairie, is presented with an edited first hand response to the dogmatism of manifest destiny by means of overcoming every obstacle ever so seamlessly and the confusion of why they are allowed to just settle the west under new ownership. This concept of the promised people, the American people, being blessed with God s grace of overcoming the odds of settling in this harsh environment is basically a predetermined mentality of inevitability set forth by the puritans that are the backbone of the society in the novel. This entire attitude can be outlined in the catch phrase of the entire novel: All s well that ends well, (Ingalls 24). It doesn t matter if it s a flash flood, a pack of wolves, carbon monoxide, native americans or even wildfires, for the Ingalls, representing the western American settler culture as an ideal whole, the odds are in their favor, despite the harsh reality of the indifferent environment. The Second Sex focuses on the woman and her role compared to man. The Death of the Profane and Killing Rage are both texts that describe experiences about the constant racism felt by blacks. To thoroughly examine these texts and how they are related to oppression and inequality it is important to first define what each mean. Oppression and inequality each have different definitions but they go hand in hand. Oppression is the state of being subject to prolonged unjust treatment. While inequality is defined as lacking equality, equality is the state of being equal especially in status, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Man is the superior, they are the absolute and women are the other. Oppositely, bell hooks and Patricia Williams speak on the inequality of minorities, specifically blacks. Racism and killing rage are heavily connected. Racism is strong and deep; it is the phantom in the room. Killing rage is a rage that is felt after constant unjust treatment, it is a rage that is healing. This killing rage should be viewed as a passion for freedom. I think a passion for freedom should be the forefront change. This passion for freedom can be connected to each author. • 16. George S Patton Rhetorical Analysis The best leaders understand that their power comes from those that they lead. In the throes of World War II, the army was under new management; a U.S. general by the name of George S. Patton took command of the Third Army before the allies invaded France. In assuming this power, it was necessary to convince the soldiers in that army to follow him, possibly to their own deaths. By analyzing the direct syntax, formatting shift in point of view, and abrasive language, it is evident that Patton asserts that he must be respected in order to gain the soldiers trust. By utilizing short and direct syntax, Patton cuts all verbosity, allowing him to effectively assert his authority and qualifications as the commander of the Third Army. Patton uses sentences such as I am here because of the confidence of two men: The president of the United States and the theater commander. The syntax is very matter of fact, which accomplishes two purposes. One purpose is to project that he doesn t have time for b.s. and that he is to the point and overt. Not bureaucratic in the slightest. The other purpose is to establish his own credibility through dropping the president and the theater commander as references for qualification. He also states both were wrong, in reference to those who believed that the allies wouldn t fight back. This direct statement leaves no room for contention, which institutes Patton s sense of conviction and authority. In addition, the direct syntax allows for brutal ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

That according to the time it took to build them they would have had to place and set a stone every 2 to 2 and a half minutes. To put that in perspective some weigh as much or more than an armed military cargo truck. So, imagine dragging a cargo truck with nothing but some strong rope and some other people. Now if you re like most people you can lift maybe 100 pounds. However, the average powerlifter can lift 350 to 400 pounds and that s just lift not pack around or drag across acres of land. Now how did the Egyptians build the Great Pyramid of Giza with blocks that weigh up to 15 tons with the technology they had then? It s clearly very obtuse to think the pyramids were built by the Egyptians and the Egyptians alone. The question is, who helped them? I ll tell you who helped them. It was the beings that have been erased from human history, the ones hiding amongst the stars at all this time watching us. The ones that stop by to build their structures, while casually using our resources. The ones that built Stonehenge, the Pyramids, the face on Mars, Easter island, and the ones that make the crop circles, the Aliens. The aliens have been there all along ever so subtly leaving us messages too advanced for us to understand helping the hard workers build their so called sacred structures . Were the aliens just being neighborly trying to help or did they have more incentive? The aliens had more than enough incentive to help build these structures, especially the pyramids. They took advantage of the Egyptians need for a sacred place to bury their kings and the obtuse triangle formed by Orion s Belt. They lined up the structures with the stars of Orion s Belt to create the energy column. Then, they created a complex tunnel system, so no one could ever find their transporter and then they left through the triangular column that forms between the pyramids and Orion. Only to be able to return or communicate at night when the column reforms. Who do they communicate with, you may ask? The governments, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Since video games are a relatively new medium of artistic expression and entertainment, not much is known about the effects of continual exposure to them, especially at a young age. The effects of violent media on the psyche of kids and adolescents has been a pressing concern for many years now, as stated in a study conducted by Tortolero et al. (2014), where it is observed that most other studies done on the subject of video games were mainly focused on aggression (p.609). In the current attempt to identify a relationship between video games and the attitudes of youths, the researchers have decided to instead focus on levels of depressive symptoms and the amount of time spent playing video games through a cross sectional analysis (Tortolero et al., p.609). The researchers have focused on the branch of psychology focused on mental health, clinical psychology (King, 2014, p.16), and the psychological problems associated with prolonged exposure to violent video games, specifically in preadolescents. The study was meant to observe the levels of depressive symptoms in children who played violent video games using the Major Depressive Disorder Scale of the DISC Predictive Scales to identify these symptoms which included lack of pleasure, lack of interest in activities, concentration difficulties, low energy, low self worth, and suicidal ideation (Tortelo et al., 2014, p.610 611). Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This study represents a parallel to the behavior found in incarcerated humans. Jails cause the same psychological side effects as prisons, to a smaller degree, in the effects of being en caged, however, the overall standard of living in jails is much higher. There is a decent relationship between the guards and the jailers. The jailers are allowed to interact with the same people on their block between lockdown times. Lock down is when the jailers are confined to their cells, usually at night and for a short while in the day, during a change of shift. This method allows inmates to play cards, watch TV together and at very least walk around something else besides their cell. The prison system, however, usually remains in lockdown all the time, although they can speak to each other, they usually can t see each other without a mirror. Observing these two methods, and what little problems there are in jails as opposed to prisons leads me to believe that if you treat a human being like a human being they will act like a human being. If you lock them in a cage all day they may as well act like an animal. (Prison Activist Resource Center, 1 3) People sometimes argue this case stating that the offenses committed by jailers are less serious than by prisoners and that prisons are more hostile because they house the more serious offenders. Essay On An Occurrence At Owl Creek Bridge Death Is a Reality, No One Can Escape It An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge, directed by Robert Enrico, depicts an occurrence in the mind of Peyton Farquhar. He is a civilian who tampers with the Union s railroad system and is going to be hanged, and all he can think about is escaping and getting home to his wife. Unfortunately, death is a reality and no one can escape it. One of the first occurrences that is a reference to death is at the beginning of the movie. As stated by the Sobchack s, In the opening sequence a man is being prepared for a military execution at dawn (27). Most of the time dawn is thought of as signaling a new day and people are happy to have woken up that morning, however, that is not the case for Peyton Farquhar because he is about to die. Another detail of nature that is used to express this theme is the fact that the seasons keep changing. In the introductory scene the trees are slightly barren like it is late fall, but after Peyton escapes it is suddenly springtime. This is probably a detail put in by the director to emphasise that late fall and early winter are usually depicted as the times that plants die. The 1st stage consists of enzymes in dead body cells start breaking down tissues which is known as autolysis. While this is going on bacteria in the digestive track start to eat the intestines. The 1st stage is called the fresh stage which can last for 1 2 days, unless of course the body is in a hot and humid area (Csanyi). Also at this stage chemical released start to attract flies. The 2nd stage that the body went through is called the putrefaction or the bloated stage (Csanyi). The smell that comes from this stage is what attracts egg laying insects most of which are blow flies (Csanyi). Today, we will be delving into the topic of post impressionism, and specifically on Vincent Van Gogh. Beginning slide (Slide: Jewel) What is the context of the art movement? (Tricia, Slide: Tricia) Post impressionism, which was primarily a French art movement, developed approximately between 1886 and 1905. Subdivisions of Post impressionism include Divisionism and Pointillism, which involves using dots and patches of color to form a picture. Due to these characteristics, post impressionism ushered in a new era of painting, and paved the way for many future art movements such as fauvism and cubism. Its antecedent being Impressionism, post impressionism contains traces of elements from that movement, but has its own diverging styles too. The Inner planets are very different from Outer planets and the Outer planets are completely different from Inner planets, but both are very similar in many ways. Our planets in the solar system have many similarities and differences. First of all, Inner planets are different from Outer planets in many ways. The surface of Inner planets compared to Outer planets are rocky, Inner planets are denser, all the Inner planets are in the asteroid belt. The Cosmos is all that is or was or ever will be. Our feeblest contemplations of the Cosmos stir us there is a tingling in the spine, a catch in the voice, a faint sensation as if a distant memory, of falling from a height. We know we are approaching the greatest of mysteries. Carl Sagan. There is nothing more than what there is. The surface of the Inner planets is very different from those of the Outer planets because, Earth compared to Uranus is completely different due to Uranus being mostly made out of gas. The Inner planets are also much denser than Outer planets. For example, Venus average density is 5.24g/cm3 as opposed to Neptune which is 1.33g/cm3. Lastly, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 31. Keiurig Green Mountain Coffee Marketing Strategy Coffee is a highly recognised aphrodisiac: the caffeine in the coffee endorses hormones that create sexual drive. But, if you re looking to get laid tonight, don t choose Keurig Green Mountain coffee for your sweet nothings. Keurig Green Mountain Coffee is a waste of desire, the brew is weak and watery, there is no fine line between bitter or acidic and overly creamy, and the lasting residue is something you don t want on your tongue. Keurig is a nationally renowned company. It was founded by some guy somewhere, that nobody really cares about, and apparently he liked coffee. And apparently it wasn t a passion strong enough to make good coffee. As of today the company has sold out 80 various brands and demeaned their 575 beverage varieties. Some of the the brands include, Van Houtte, Donut House, Tierney s Iced Tea Co., Green Mountain Coffee, and Starbucks. Truthfully, I ve never even heard of half of these companies that must explain the situation. As for the Keurig brewing system, it is specialized in making tea, iced coffee, hot coffee, and cold brew coffee. Honestly, the only girl you re getting with your Keurig set up is the the one working at the Flying J, next to a dirty truck stop, and is used to drinking mediocre coffee ... It s watered down, instant mocha flavor, captured nothing short of ordinary. For as much hype the Keurig brands bestows on it s coffee, you think they would be able to invent a decent mild brew. It s flavor was nonexistent and unappealing. For a plus, it had a crisp freshness to it, but if you looking for that, turn on the tap. Nobody wakes her girlfriend up with a cup of colored ... Linens n Things The two companies I have chosen to research and dissect on why one has had great success and one has had great failure are Bed Bath and Beyond and Linens n Things. When looking at both companies they seem to be similar to one another with the items they sell, the store layout and policies so why it that one failed and one is still standing. Managements job is to oversee others so their activities are completed efficiently and effectively. After looking into these two companies there seems to be some underlying reasons why. Although they have significant similarities in the beginning setting, their performance results separate severely. On the surface, both companies were following a similar business level strategy of cost leadership, but key strategic decisions led them down very different paths. Both companies focused on providing consumers with high quality houseware goods in a no frills, value priced environment, but Linens n Things decision to build centralized warehouses that seemed consistent with a cost leadership strategy ended up bringing it into direct competition with Target and Walmart while as you know is a whole different ball game compared to, Bed Bath and Beyond which allowed for greater decentralization in decision making, which made allowing more store level decision making and greater customization to local shoppers tastes. As a result, Bed Bath and Beyond was able to better tell itself apart from Walmart and Target. Bed Bath and Beyond s market capitalization was approximately $10.7 billion, while there stores where open Linens n Things had just been acquired for $1.3 billion by a private equity firm. Linens n Things has been losing money for years and finally had difficulty keeping up with payments to its lenders and vendors. Some strategies used by Linens n Things was a change to ... • 33. Race Representation In American Cinema be done has seemingly been done before (*cough* Sharknado). After watching Get Out and eagerly convincing everyone I knew to go see it (including you!), I found that my requests were met with concern as many said oh, I do not like scary movies. It is unfortunate that so many would forgo seeing the movie in light of someone s preconceived idea of what a horror movie is. The entire genre is compartmentalized into a one size fits all description and what arises out of this generalization is an entire group of people who miss out on seeing a good film and instead see some sequel, prequel, reboot, spinoff, remake of a franchise film that only feeds into big studio cinema. At this point I would like to study race representation in American cinema ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The term became popular when it was adopted by the Black Lives Matter movement and is a lyrics in the chorus of Childish Gambino/Donald Glover s song Redbone that appears at the start of the film. There is an evident in the connections that black filmmaker s make by using music made by black musicians (Taylor). The score is a formative and fundamental reference for black art (ibid). In Get Out, Jordan Peele wanted to have a noticeable presence of Afro music that would be more than an assemblage of music backing a motion picture. The main theme music in the film is a Swahili song entitled Sikiliza Kwa Wahenga (Something Bad Is Coming Run in English) that represents black lives lost to slavery and other wrongdoings. The song plays in the developmental scenes where audiences are not yet aware of the dangers Chris is in. Some of the lyrics translate to save yourself and listen to your ancestors. Michael Abels is the orchestral and choral composer for the film and was instrumental in creating a soundtrack that has black roots but also presents a lack of optimism that is needed in a horror movie. It was his first every film score and proved to be a difficult feat, as a lot of African American music typically sounds hopeful and upbeat. In order to achieve this ... • 34. Robin Hood Prince Of Thieves And Robin Hood Comparison As seen in several movie remakes of timeless classics, things change. Sometimes we see characters, scenes, or endings change for the better, though it s no secret that the change usually just ruins the story all together. In Robin Hood Prince of Thieves, Robin Hood sets off on a journey to defeat the Sheriff of Nottingham. But, did the writers of the movie stay true to his legend or did they completely change him for the better of a politically correct movie. In the film adaptation, Robin Hood Prince of Thieves, The director chose to displace scenes, adapting each character to speak perfect english, and chose to spare some of the bloody details making Robin Hood the true hero of the story. Though this made the film enjoyable for audiences, the director failed to stay true to the Classic Robin Hood Tale. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The results were much like that of an experiment performed, which separated carbohydrates in a very similar method with the use of paper chromatography (Inome, Y., Yamamoto, A.). Proper pipetting technique, which is described by John Husler, was also demonstrated in this experiment. The technique was followed as to prevent contamination and deliver the right amount of solution each time (John Husler: 1983). The use of paper chromatography to separate plant pigments from spinach leaves worked very well. The pigments were separated into five distinguishable groups and were then placed in solution. It showed us which wavelengths of light each pigment was able to absorb. However, the pigments did not have much variation in their absorbances. All pigments except pigment five were able to absorb large amounts of light in the four hundred to five hundred nanometer ranges and then increased absorbance slightly around six hundred sixty nanometers. The pigments had minimal absorbance between the five hundred and six hundred sixty range. All of the pigments followed the expected absorbances from Figure 7.13 in the laboratory manual except pigment one which is the anthocyanidins. The absorbance values and graphs can be matched to the same pigments in a similar experiment performed when separating carbohydrate groups through chromatography (Inome, Y., Yamamoto, A.). Since pigment one is supposed to reflect a blue or violet color, it would have been expected to transmit the ranges that it absorbed, and reflect those that were transmitted. You have no weapons, no hands, you have nothing but your mouth. Would you be successful or just another victim, the most likely scenario is the ladder. Today s generation is quick to use violence to resolve issues instead of using their words, and i am inclined to believe that it has to do with the fact that they do not know how to have a civilized debate. This is where debate comes into play, debate is when you argue against an opponent trying to prove that your right and your opponent is wrong. I have been in debate almost my entire highschool term and i can honestly say that debate has gotten me out of many sticky situations for the simple fact i knew how to talk to someone and get my point across.
