Session Objectives:
• Develop a basic understanding of
the concept of mobile learning
• Learn the basics of the BCC iPad
distribution process
• Develop a conceptual
understanding of how to use the
iPad in a face-to-face class

iPads at BCC
The iPad class set
functioning as a mobile
computer lab
History of iPads at BCC
① Purchased first set of iPads – distributed to
faculty for pilot use – collected feedback
② Purchased iPad class sets with sync cart
③ Facilitated various training programs
④ Rolled cart into classrooms for initial student use
⑤ Distributed iPads to students in a learning
community for a semester (twice)
⑥ Integrated use into some courses
⑦ Continued support of iPads through training
