- Start from 2007 Hsinchu County I meet with moodle as an it staff. My job is to set up a server. That’s all.
- Setting up a server is not easy for a novice. But that’s not important.

- Content is the key. Like ipod and itunes store Iphone and iapps Ipad and ibooks Moodle server is just the framework, content is the key and the king. Meaning teachers need to provide the content, either by uploading materials such as movie, music, article or compose a web page, or offer a web link. Furthermore, make exam sheet online.
- Hand in hand project. Help those students in need. Takr part in the moodle site contest. Luckily winning the good results, two awards actually.
- English class visits computer lab after every unit.
- Practice some tests by moodle. Many types are included, multiple choice, spelling, match, read aloud and recording. Our school “English passport” is also certified in computer lab.
- Exam means lots of chuores. You need to create it by word processor, print it out, hand it out grade it, review it and register it. You don’t need to do this anymore. Moodle will take care of it.
- Here’s some examples used in my class. Find the word and circle it. Students can learn to read and recognize the words. Hopefully they can learn spelling as well.
- Listening comprehension test. Listening is important key element for learning a language. In computer lab, every student has his own headphone. Students can listen very clearly this way compared to students share the same speaks. Also you can listen at your own path. People will get confused by some similar words through speakers, such as back and bag, bread and blend.
- Match English and Chinese words.
- English passport certification. Students can record their sentences. It can save time as much as 30 times. Usually student take turns saying the sentences. Now they can do this at the same time.
- Tired of repeating? This is really helpful for the teacher. Students can listen online as much as possible.
- Moodle as resource database. You can put every teaching materials at the same place. It’s always accessible for both teacher and students.
- Moodle as a teaching database. It can integrate all the resources and make them accessible to both teacher and students.
- Moodle as database. Watch the video clips and write your homework.
- English CD provided as download. CDs are not offered by government. It’s optional for students. (Students need to pay for it)
- Listening to it online.
- Book is always available online.
- Make up teaching. Moodle as a class management tool. Some parents have good feedback. The student himself watches most.
- Class management. Good kid stamp collection.
- Demo the moodle site of Chungshan Elementary school. Show the hess 5 improvement bulletin board.
- 省時 省力（不用改，不用檢討 不用登記，） 省錢（免印考卷）
- Analyze the exam and see the accuracy of each question. Know where to emphasize.
- Students and their parents can view their report cards online. Teacher can export the result into many formats for further usages.
- Practice more. Usually, traditional exam sheet can only be tested once. But exam online can be tested any times you want.
- You can have several strategs. If you want to keep your student practicing, you can set unlimited times of attempts. You can also use the best attemps as the final result.
- This can increase competition. You do not only compete with your classmates but also your schoolmates. It’s good for the top 5 students of each class.
- Learning at home. Parents can help their kids at home.
- Learning is available on the go.
- Computer lab is full. Usually computer lab is mainly for computer lessons. It’s only available when there’s no computer lessons.
- Headphone and mics are fragile. They become consumables.
- Computer is broken very often. Teacher needs some it skills to handle it. Computer parts, software settings, viruses, Internet connection, etc are common problems.
- Server needs your special care. Backup is a must. Update when necessary. Get along with your IT staff.
- Time, time, time. Time is all we need.
- Making moodle teaching is exhausted in the very beginning. It will save your time later.
