Welfare Board was established under
Section 11(A) of the Workers Welfare Funds
Ordinance, 1971 in order to provide
residential and educational facilities as well
as other welfare measures including Jehez
Fund for the marriage of the daughters of
workers, merit scholarships to deserving
children of industrial labor, distribution of
sewing machines and bicycles.

Construction of residential colonies/houses/flats for
the industrial labor.
Construction of schools for the children of industrial
labor.
Construction of dispensaries/poly-clinics and creation
of medical wards/centers in big hospitals of the
Province like Kidney Center, Burn Trauma/Head Injury
Center etc.
Provision of drinking water supply schemes for Mine
Workers at Buner, Haripur and Abbottabad.
Education/Scholarship opportunities to workers’
children.
Jehez Fund for the marriage of daughters of workers.
Distribution of sewing machines and bicycles

Workers Welfare Board is a body
corporate created under Section 11-A of the
Workers' Welfare Fund Ordinance, 1971
which is central statue and funds are being
allocated by the Governing Body of Workers
Welfare Fund constituted under Section-7.
 According to Section 11B(3), The Chairman of
the Board shall be its Chief Executive. It has
its own Board of Governors consisting of
Employers, Employees, Industrialists and
Government officials for decision making.

Workers Welfare Board has two
Directorates i.e.
 Directorate of Education and
 Directorate of Works.
 Works Directorate is engaged in construction
/ execution of various projects and schemes
while
 Education Directorate is engaged in
education related facilities,
 KPK

Workers Welfare Board is providing
welfare benefits to the industrial / mine
workers in the light of provision under the
Ordinance in following sectors
Housing sector
 Construction of Family Quarters / Flats for
the industrial workers which are allotted on
rental basis through their respective
managements.
Education sector
 Construction of Schools, Industrial Homes for
providing free education to worker's
children.
Health sector
 Construction of Medicare Centers, 25 bedded
hospitals and 50 bedded Center for Kidney
Diseases at Hayatabad Medical Complex
(HMC), Peshawar for providing health
facilities to worker's and their families
through Employees Social Security Institution
(ESSI) and Provincial Health Department.
Other welfare measures
 NWFP Workers Welfare Board is providing
Marriage Grant facilities @ Rs.50,000/- per
daughter, Death Grant compensation @
Rs.300,000/- per worker and inter, graduate
and post graduate level scholarships to
worker's children.
Directorate of Education was established by Khyber
Pakhtunkhawa Worker Welfare Board in the end of
March, 2000 for effective operationalization and
monitoring of schools and to provide free education with
allied facilities to the workers children in particular (Free
of cost) and other students/non workers children in
general (With Fee).
The WWB Schools are established under the name of
(“Working Folks Grammar Schools”)

Objectives


The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Workers Welfare Board has established
09-Mono-Tech Institutes in labour intensive area of the Province in the light
of decision taken by the Governing Body of WWF, Islamabad in its 109th
meeting held on 24-01-2011 for imparting technical training to the drop out
students in Electrical Technology so as to curtail unemployment and earn
foreign exchange through skilled workers.



A qualified staff has been engaged to raise the achievements of the
institutes through proper practical trainings and counseling sessions.
Students are prepared to strengthen their technical skill in Electrical Trade.



Latest equipment have been provided to Mono-Tech Institutes.

03 Poly-Tech Institutes in the Province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the light of
decision taken by the Governing Body of WWF, Islamabad in its 113th
meeting held on 13-10-2011 to impart Technical Training for the Workers
Children.



A qualified staff has been engaged to raise the achievements of the
institutes through proper practical trainings through latest equipment and
counseling sessions and to provide 03-years Post Matric Diploma of
Associate Engineer from Board of Technical Education, Khyber
Patkhunkhwa in the following discipline:-.

Objectives
 Matric-Tech project is fully funded by Workers Welfare Fund.
The project aim is to provide basic technical training/Skills to
the youth at matric level in their schools which may help
them to start a better career.
 The introduction of Matric-Tech education in WWB schools
will enable students to have know how about skills and
enhance the capability of school pass outs to opt their future
course of studies. Skilled workers will also be able to pursue
employment/self-employment within the country and abroad.

  • 2.  Workers Welfare Board was established under Section 11(A) of the Workers Welfare Funds Ordinance, 1971 in order to provide residential and educational facilities as well as other welfare measures including Jehez Fund for the marriage of the daughters of workers, merit scholarships to deserving children of industrial labor, distribution of sewing machines and bicycles.

  • 4.        Construction of residential colonies/houses/flats for the industrial labor. Construction of schools for the children of industrial labor. Construction of dispensaries/poly-clinics and creation of medical wards/centers in big hospitals of the Province like Kidney Center, Burn Trauma/Head Injury Center etc. Provision of drinking water supply schemes for Mine Workers at Buner, Haripur and Abbottabad. Education/Scholarship opportunities to workers’ children. Jehez Fund for the marriage of daughters of workers. Distribution of sewing machines and bicycles
  • 5.  NWFP Workers Welfare Board is a body corporate created under Section 11-A of the Workers' Welfare Fund Ordinance, 1971 which is central statue and funds are being allocated by the Governing Body of Workers Welfare Fund constituted under Section-7.  According to Section 11B(3), The Chairman of the Board shall be its Chief Executive. It has its own Board of Governors consisting of Employers, Employees, Industrialists and Government officials for decision making.
  • 6.  KPK Workers Welfare Board has two Directorates i.e.  Directorate of Education and  Directorate of Works.  Works Directorate is engaged in construction / execution of various projects and schemes while  Education Directorate is engaged in education related facilities,
  • 7.  KPK Workers Welfare Board is providing welfare benefits to the industrial / mine workers in the light of provision under the Ordinance in following sectors Housing sector  Construction of Family Quarters / Flats for the industrial workers which are allotted on rental basis through their respective managements.
  • 8. Education sector  Construction of Schools, Industrial Homes for providing free education to worker's children. Health sector  Construction of Medicare Centers, 25 bedded hospitals and 50 bedded Center for Kidney Diseases at Hayatabad Medical Complex (HMC), Peshawar for providing health facilities to worker's and their families through Employees Social Security Institution (ESSI) and Provincial Health Department.
  • 9. Other welfare measures  NWFP Workers Welfare Board is providing Marriage Grant facilities @ Rs.50,000/- per daughter, Death Grant compensation @ Rs.300,000/- per worker and inter, graduate and post graduate level scholarships to worker's children.
  • 10. Directorate of Education was established by Khyber Pakhtunkhawa Worker Welfare Board in the end of March, 2000 for effective operationalization and monitoring of schools and to provide free education with allied facilities to the workers children in particular (Free of cost) and other students/non workers children in general (With Fee). The WWB Schools are established under the name of (“Working Folks Grammar Schools”) WWB is providing these services in education sector

  • 13.  Highly qualified, experienced and committed teaching staff has been engaged to raise the academic achievements of the students through proper teaching methodologies, home assignments, formal and informal guidance and counseling sessions. Students are prepared to excel in Board examinations in order to strengthen their ability to adopt a profession of their choices.
  • 14.  WFG schools lay particular emphasis on character development of students.  Special attention is paid to developing students ability to express themselves correctly, concisely and coherently both in English and Urdu. Particular attention is paid to develop writing and speaking abilities of students.

  • 18.  Increased the number of enrolled students up to twenty eight thousand (28000) which is expected to be increased in coming session after new admissions.  Segregation of Male & Female Section through partitioning in the existing buildings.  Up-gradation of Working Folks Grammar Schools to Higher Secondary Level.  WFG schools have delivered almost 100% result in SSC Examination for the session 2012-13.

Objectives  The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Workers Welfare Board has established 09-Mono-Tech Institutes in labour intensive area of the Province in the light of decision taken by the Governing Body of WWF, Islamabad in its 109th meeting held on 24-01-2011 for imparting technical training to the drop out students in Electrical Technology so as to curtail unemployment and earn foreign exchange through skilled workers.  A qualified staff has been engaged to raise the achievements of the institutes through proper practical trainings and counseling sessions. Students are prepared to strengthen their technical skill in Electrical Trade.  Latest equipment have been provided to Mono-Tech Institutes. 27

Objectives  The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Workers Welfare Board has established 03 Poly-Tech Institutes in the Province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the light of decision taken by the Governing Body of WWF, Islamabad in its 113th meeting held on 13-10-2011 to impart Technical Training for the Workers Children.  A qualified staff has been engaged to raise the achievements of the institutes through proper practical trainings through latest equipment and counseling sessions and to provide 03-years Post Matric Diploma of Associate Engineer from Board of Technical Education, Khyber Patkhunkhwa in the following discipline:-. 1. 2. 3. 4.
