Questions for self reflection
1- I give very specific and clear examples of the things I am criticising while
also taking into considerationwhat a person was trying to achieve when they
did the mistake.
2- I need to make sure I take a few moments before giving feedback, I am
sometimesto emotional and therefore not empathetic to the other person.
3- I sometimes cause angerand frustration when giving feedbackdue to my
emotions. However I give significant praise when something is well done
which often motivates certain people.
4- My emotions and how many times I have had to make these comments.
5- I need to take a momentto calm down and collect my thoughts to make
sure I engage with empathy. I need to listen to them and the problems they
may be going through while holding myself and my emotions in check while
remaining patient if the issue is re occurring.
One of the things I can do during quarantine to not answer emotionally is to
turn off my internet to prevent me from answering with my emotions. I can
therefore take some time to collect my thoughts, calm down and offera
empathetic list of feedback. I could do the same when muting my phone for
five minutes.
