Escalator is useful and act in the important part to carry passengers to the targeted floors of building. Every escalator must be driven by its own motor and this motor speed must be controled. To drive escalator with a constant speed, direct torque control technique is used to drive three phase squirrel cage induction motor. Increment of hydro-carbon fuel consumption in internal combustion engines is increased. Due to the limitation of natural resources alternate power sources are investigated, mainly to drive the road vehicles. It is also to recognise specific areas of a mechanical system itself where the energy can be harvested especially in automotive suspension system. The studies and experiments carried out to enhance performance of vehicle suspension are discussed.
Automotive suspension system is influenced by electronically control novel implements and technologies. In this report the behaviours and characteristics of most recent implements which include Passive, semi-active, active and self-powered suspension system is discussed.
Equations are eliminated depending on the principles of vibration and also computational
analysis is discussed performance of their control systems.
Simulation and Static Analysis of an Off-Road Vehicle Roll CageIJMER
The SAE-BAJA competition is arranged every year with a purpose to have teams of
engineering students design, build and race a prototype of a four-wheel, one passenger, off-road
vehicle. The most important aspect of the vehicle design is the frame. The frame contains the operator,
engine, brake system, fuel system and steering mechanism, it must be of adequate strength to protect
the operator in the event of a rollover or impact. The roll cage must be constructed of steel tubing, with
minimum dimensional and strength requirements dictated by Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE).
Increased concern about the roll cage has created the importance of simulation and analysis thereby
predicting failure modes of the frame. In the present paper, we have used ANSYS to investigate the
response of the frame under various impacts. We considered a direct frontal impact and side impact
that results in a 4g horizontal loading, a rollover impact of 3g deceleration value, bump impact and
front torsional impact analysis with 3g deceleration value. The impact loading is simulated by
restricting displacements at certain locations, and applying discrete forces at various points on the
frame where the weight is concentrated. Throughout the analysis of roll cage more emphasis was given
on obtaining a allowable factor of safety and designed according to it.

The high speed motor is effective to realize downsizing motor in an electric vehicle (EV). Switched Reluctance Motor (SRM) is possible to the high speed drive because the rotor structure has simple and robust. However, the vibration and the acoustic noise are large from the drive principle. Moreover, the conventional complicated current excitation results in the difficulty of the torque controller design. To overcome these problems, the vector control has been proposed for SRM drive. However, the vector control has not been applied to the SRM in the high speed drive. In this paper, the drive conditions such as switching frequency, bus voltage for driving the SRM in the high speed region are clarified. It is shown that the proposed SRM can be driven by the vector control in the high speed region and can realize low vibration.

Efficient Motor Control Solutions: High Performance Servo Control (Design Con...Analog Devices, Inc.
This session provides insight into the operation of electric motor drive systems. Topics include electric motor operation and construction, motor control strategies, feedback sensors and circuits, power and isolation, and challenges of designing highly efficient motor control systems. A new high performance servo control FMC board will be presented, which provides an efficient motor control solution for different types of electric motors, addresses power and isolation challenges, and provides accurate measurement of motor feedback signals and increased control flexibility due to FPGA interfacing capabilities. The motor control hardware platform will be used to demonstrate rapid prototyping of motor control algorithms using Xilinx base platforms and the MathWorks development and simulation tools.

Computer based Wireless Automobile Wheel Alignment system using Accelerometertheijes
A computer based wireless automobile wheel alignment measurement system using accelerometer is presented in this paper, which has the advantages of simple circuit, low cost , high resolution with high working reliability. The causes and effects of improper wheel alignment by traditional methods are analyzed in the model. In this system wireless transmission techniques are adopted to transmit data between measuring unit and computer. This makes the measurement operation much easier. This paper presents unique and innovative use of accelerometer for the measurement of automobile wheel parameters, such as camber and toe. The hardware and software realizations are also explored in this paper. The system practical applications shows that its performance meets the design requirements.

9. SENSING UNIT:
The ADXL335B accelerometer gives an output as
voltage representing the three values of acceleration
in (X, Y, Z) which are proportional to the values of
alignment angel.
10. PROCESSING UNIT:
Arduino with built-in Microcontroller ATME328 is
used thus it satisfies selection criterion. Output
voltage of ADXL335 accelerometer is applied to the
analog inputs A0-A2 of Arduino.
11. TRANS-RECEIVER UNIT:
Available information signal from Arduino is
transmitted using (CC250 + PIC F1824
Microcontroller) platform, which is widely available
and use for wireless communications techniques
12. RECEIVER SECTION:
At the receiver side the signal is fed to serial to USB
converter. Available signal is concatenated so x, y and z
parameters needs to separate so logic is developed
and all the three signals and concatenated string is
displayed in text boxes as well. Retrieved signal is
mathematically processed to obtain phase i.e. angles in
degree
