Study on Hydraulic Steering System of Automatic Driving Agricultural MachineryIJRES Journal
The hydraulic steering system plays an important role in the automatic driving agricultural
machinery, its dynamic characteristics directly affect the accuracy and reliability of the automatic driving. In
this paper, a set of hydraulic steering system is designed. The response characteristics of the hydraulic steering
system are tested by experiments. The mathematical model for transfer function is established according to the
response characteristics of hydraulic steering system. The simulation model is built. The PID parameters are
adjusted. The performance of the response characteristic of hydraulic steering system is improved. Finally, the
design of the hydraulic steering system is proved to be effective by square wave signal and sine wave signal
tracking experiments.

Hierarchical Digital Twin of a Naval Power SystemKerry Sado
A hierarchical digital twin of a Naval DC power system has been developed and experimentally verified. Similar to other state-of-the-art digital twins, this technology creates a digital replica of the physical system executed in real-time or faster, which can modify hardware controls. However, its advantage stems from distributing computational efforts by utilizing a hierarchical structure composed of lower-level digital twin blocks and a higher-level system digital twin. Each digital twin block is associated with a physical subsystem of the hardware and communicates with a singular system digital twin, which creates a system-level response. By extracting information from each level of the hierarchy, power system controls of the hardware were reconfigured autonomously. This hierarchical digital twin development offers several advantages over other digital twins, particularly in the field of naval power systems. The hierarchical structure allows for greater computational efficiency and scalability while the ability to autonomously reconfigure hardware controls offers increased flexibility and responsiveness. The hierarchical decomposition and models utilized were well aligned with the physical twin, as indicated by the maximum deviations between the developed digital twin hierarchy and the hardware.

4. ABSTRACT
There are disclosed a button operated gear change
control apparatus for an automobile and a method of
controlling such apparatus. A rotational output
between two gears of a hollow shaft is connected to d.c
motor. When a gear shifting-up of an automatic
transmission is to be effected, the load applied by the
load device is increased, or the load is connected to an
output rotation shaft of the engine via a selectively-
connecting device.
5. INTRODUCTION
A gear shifting mechanism is designed and applied to
make the shifting process more expeditious and less
destructible for the driver.
This project aims to ameliorate gear shifting process
utilizing contrivances as: a manual four speed gear
box, two pneumatic double acting cylinders, two
pneumatic two position five ways directional control
valves, , an electrical motor, a belt, two pulleys, limit
switches, push buttons, bulbs, a table (holder) and
power supply.
6. According to suggested gear shifting mechanism the
driver can cull the transmission gear ratio without
moving his hands from the steering wheel by putting
the gear shifting push buttons on the steering wheel.
The development has concluded withal the gearbox,
which became much smoother and engenders less
noise.

14. CONSTRUCTION
The two solenoid valves are connected to a compressor with the
avail of hoses of ∅6mm from which pressurized air is extracted.
The solenoid valves are followed by two pneumatic cylinders
with the avail of air hoses. The cylinders are followed by a clutch
pedal. Contiguous to the clutch pedal gear box and a motor
arrangement is present. The construction withal includes a
proximity sensor which senses the haste of the wheel. The
precise signals are sent to the solenoid valves by the control unit
through the relays. Ergo the input is speed of the wheel sensed
by a sensor and the output is shifting of gear accordingly. The
puissance to the control unit is supplied from the 12V battery as
well the shifting of gear monitored on an LCD. It withal consists
of DC motor, ATMEGA Development board, speed regulator
(expeditor), transformer

16. WORKING PROCEDURE
• The pneumatic circuit is as shown in fig, the motor is
started to drive the main shaft initially the gear box is
in neutral i.e., the output shaft is stationary condition.
When the 5/2 way direction control valve -1 is operated
the cylinder -1 operates the piston to move in the right
hand direction thereby bringing the 3rd gear into
engagement, and thus the output shaft starts to rotate
thereby transmitting power from the input (
motor/engine) to the output ( differential). Electro-

18. ADVANTAGE
It requires simple maintenance cares.
The safety system for automobile.
Checking and cleaning are easy, because of the main parts are
screwed.
Easy to Handle.
Low cost automation Project.
Repairing is easy.

19. DISADVANTAGE
Initial cost is high.
The system is complicated one.
Battery should be charged all time.
Gear breaking possible.
20. CONCLUSION
The project presented has involved the development
and implementation of automatic transmissions for
bikes and cars. The motivation of this work is to
implement this idea in clutch featured bikes with a
suitable clutch control. The automatic transmission
can be also used in 5 and 6 speed versions by altering
few changes in the program. According to the achieved
results the mechanism done is reliable if it is installed
in bikes and cars and very helpful for handicapped
because the gear is changed by the help of button not
by lever.
