Guide. I choose this book because of familiarity with one of the authors, Roy Vickers. I have
long admired this artists work. I have had the opportunity to visit his gallery in Tofino, B.C. and
learn about the authors art and life. His use of vibrant colors was considered out of the box when
I grew up. He pushed the boundaries and grabbed people s attention and for that I admired him. I
can easily identify his paintings which the non artist in me enjoys. He has struggled through
hardship and addiction and continues to be valuable member to his community and our country.
Despite receiving numerous accolades, for his work, he appears to remain humble and continues
on his mission to share and tell stories. Roy Henry Vickers, has a First Nation heritage of Tsimshian,

Religion was a huge part of their political, educational, and social life because God was very
important to them. In describing the Great Awakening, Jonathan Edwards tells of the result of the

in which constituent parts are arranged. The physical topology of a network is the actual
geometric layout of workstations. There are several common physical topologies based on the
configuration. They are Star Topology, Ring Topology, Buss Topology, Mesh Topology, Hybrid
Topology and Tree Topology.
2.2 Star Topology:
Star topology is one of the most common network setups. In this arrangement, every node connects
to a central hub, switch or computer; the hub acting as a server and the peripheral devices as
clients. A major disadvantage of this network topologyis that if the central hub fails, all of the
connected devices are disconnected. In a star network layout, each workstation is connected by its
own cable directly to the server. Star networks are usually the layout of choice in schools and

It is a well known fact that in today s society there are large quantities of people from all age
demographics and all areas of the world that struggle with at least one mental illness. The
unfortunate part of this fact is that there is also a large amount of stigma surrounding mental
illnesses which causes mental illness patients to feel alone and unable seek needed help. Most of
this stigma is due to a lack of education and understanding of mental illnesses. This ignorance is
what creates the majority of negative connotations related to mental illnesses. But what would
happen if our society had the opportunity to become more educated about mental illnesses? It is
important to educate people about mental illness stigma in order to prevent discriminationand
prejudice.
A study used a total of 303 adolescents that all completed a revised version of an Attribution
Questionnaire that described four different patients: a peer with a mental illness, a peer with a
mental illness caused by a brain tumor, a peer with an alcohol abuse problem, and a peer with
leukemia. The adolescents discriminated among conditions. Important variables that lead to
discrimination were blame and dangerousness. Adolescents who believed that mental illness
patients are responsible for their own illnesses believed that those patients are dangerous. This
caused the adolescents to discriminate more towards these patients. However, the adolescents did
not feel the same way toward alcohol abuse patients.

world today that would be introduce in the course so students will not only be learning about
African American but the diversity, and the unity of our society, which is what the African
