This document discusses the use of will and won't for making predictions and decisions in the future. It provides examples of affirmative, negative, and interrogative sentences using will and won't. It then has students complete sentences using either the present continuous tense or will to talk about future plans and predictions. 5. Examples 1. Affirmative: I think I will win the game. 2. Negative: I’m sure that he won’t come to my party. 3. Interrogative: It’s too hot in here. Will you open the window?

6. We use will: To talk about predictions: - we are saying what we know or think will happen. We are predicting the future. ( probably, I expect, I’m sure, I think, I don’t think, ...) E.g. I think it will be a difficult exam. To talk about on-the-spot decisions: - we decide to do something at the time of speaking. We ha ven’t decided before. The idea is new. E.g. Your bag is heavy. I will help you!

7. Complete the sentences. Choose between present continuous for the future and ‘will’. E.g. Diane isn’t free on Saturday. She is working (work). I .............. (go) to a party tomorrow night.
