This document provides information about using will and won't to talk about the future in English. It explains that will is used to talk about predictions and on-the-spot decisions, while won't is the negative form used to talk about what will not happen. Examples are given of affirmative, negative, and interrogative sentences using will and won't. Practice sentences are also provided where the reader chooses between using the present continuous or will to talk about future plans and predictions.

6. We use will:
• To talk about predictions:
- we are saying what we know or think will
happen. We are predicting the future.
(probably, I expect, I’m sure, I think, I don’t think,...)
E.g. I think it will be a difficult exam.
• To talk about on-the-spot decisions:
- we decide to do something at the time of
speaking. We haven’t decided before. The
idea is new.
E.g. Your bag is heavy. I will help you!
