Infrastructure Project Manager
Accenture Aug 2014 - Present
I am working as a Project Manager with the Infrastructure Stabilisation programme in the
Bank of Ireland. I am part of the team responsible for the remediation of a number of
infrastructure based risks raised by the Group Internal Audit function in the Bank. These risks
covered the entire infrastructure estate (Mainframe, Unix, Data Communication and network
perimeter technology). My projects are working with on shore and off shore teams on Data
Communications and Network perimeter technologies. I have set up teams to process large
volumes of connectivity information for security, currency and appropriateness. We will then
manage the recommended changes through to closure of the risk.
Project Manager
The Insolvency Service of Ireland Feb 2014 – July 2014
The Insolvency Service of Ireland (ISI) has a number of projects and work streams active as it
continues to set up its services while managing cases and regulating the new services
providers. I was asked to establish the exact number and status of these activities and to
implement project management structures. I reported to the Director and had an active role in
some high profile projects.

Project Manager
Central Bank of Ireland Sept 2012 – Dec 2013
The Central Bank of Ireland (CBI) is completing a major IT transformation project. I was
engaged to manage two large work streams. The first covers the Operational readiness of the
bank’s service management (ITIL) processes. I successfully aligned and implemented
processes for Incident, Problem, Release and Change management. Other support and
operational processes were identified and aligned to the new services model.
This work stream also covered the introduction and management of governance processes
and procedures to ensure appropriate checks and responsibilities were captured and
delivered on. This involved each migration passing through a number of governance gates
from initial planning through to phase closure. I was responsible for the project Risk
management function. I identified recorded and managed through resolution and closure the
Risks, Issues, assumptions and dependencies for the project.
Security compliance involved the alignment of policies and standards in the new environment.
The Security Working Group (SWG) was established to review, monitor and manage security
related tasks and issues through design, build and implementation.
The second work stream involves migration of the current DR capability to a new purpose
built environment. The existing plans were amended through a phased implementation over
several months. After the final phase a full DR test was planned and executed. As project
manager for the DR function I coordinated the invocation process, the Test users for each
location (50) and IT support group required for the test. Test scripts were provided to ensure
no data changed after fail over. The DR Test Run Book laid out the tasks for systems to be
failed over to the DR data centre, checked, User verification testing of all applications and
services. After sign-off the systems were failed back to the primary data centre checked and
critical business systems verified. The successful DR Test was a key deliverable for the
project.
