3. (1) Christ became a human
• John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word,
and the Word was with God, and the Word
was God.
• John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh,
and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his
glory, the glory as of the only begotten of
the Father,) full of grace and truth.

4. (1) Christ became a human
• Romans 1:3 Concerning his Son Jesus
Christ our Lord, who was made of the
descendants of David according to the
flesh;
• Romans 9:5 Whose are the fathers, and
of whom as concerning the flesh Christ
came, who is over all, God blessed
forever. Amen.

5. (1) Christ became a human
• 1 John 1:1 That which was from the
beginning, which we have heard, which we
have seen with our eyes, which we have
looked upon, and our hands have handled, of
the Word of life;
• 1 John 1:2 (For the life was manifested, and
we have seen it, and bear witness, and show
unto you that eternal life, which was with the
Father, and was manifested unto us;)

6. (2) Why the Word became flesh
• Hebrews 10:1-5…turn with me please
• Hebrews 10:5 Therefore when he comes
into the world, he says, Sacrifice and
offering you desired not, but a body have
you prepared me:
• Hebrews 10:10 By the which will we are
sanctified through the offering of the body
of Jesus Christ once for all.

7. (2) Why the Word became flesh
• Hebrews 2:1 Therefore we ought to give
the more earnest heed to the things which
we have heard, lest at any time we should
let them slip.
• Hebrews 2:2 For if the word spoken by
angels was steadfast, and every
transgression and disobedience
received a just recompense of reward;

9. (3) God demands JUSTICE
• Amos 5:21-24 I hate, I despise your feast
days, and I will not take delight in your solemn
assemblies. Though you offer me burnt
offerings and your grain offerings, I will not
accept them: neither will I regard the peace
offerings of your fatted beasts.
• Take away from me the noise of your songs;
for I will not hear the melody of your harps.
But let justice run down as waters, and
righteousness as a mighty stream.

10. (3) God is just, HOLY
• Proverbs 6:16-19 These six things does the
LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination
unto him: A proud look, a lying tongue, and
hands that shed innocent blood,
• A heart that devises wicked imaginations,
feet that are swift in running to evil, A false
witness that speaks lies, and he that sows
discord among brethren.

11. (3) God is demands Justice
• Jeremiah 21:11 And concerning the house of
the king of Judah, say, Hear you the word of
the LORD;
• Jeremiah 21:12 O house of David, thus says
the LORD; Execute justice in the morning,
and deliver him that is plundered out of the
hand of the oppressor, lest my fury go out like
fire, and burn that none can quench it,
because of the evil of your doings.

12. (3) Because God is just (ice)
• Psalms 11:5 The LORD tests the righteous:
but the wicked and him that loves violence
his soul hates.
• Proverbs 17:15 He that justifies the wicked,
and he that condemns the just, even they
both are abomination to the LORD.

13. (3) God is angry!
• Psalms 7:9-11 Oh let the wickedness of
the wicked come to an end; but establish
the just: for the righteous God tests the
minds and hearts.
• My defence is with God, who saves the
upright in heart. God judges the righteous,
and God is angry with the wicked every
day.

14. (4) Christ role in salvation
• Isaiah 53:10 Yet it pleased the LORD to
bruise him; he has put him to grief: when
you shall make his soul an offering for sin,
he shall see his offspring, he shall prolong
his days, and the will of the LORD shall
prosper in his hand.

15. (4) Christ role in salvation
• Christ suffering prophesied from the
beginning!
• Genesis 3:15 And I will put enmity
between you and the woman, and
between your seed and her seed; he shall
bruise your head, and you shall bruise his
heel.

16. (4) Christ role in salvation
• Isaiah 53:11 He shall see the travail of his soul,
and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my
righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear
their iniquities.
• Isaiah 53:5 But he was wounded for our
transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities:
the chastisement of our peace was upon him;
and with his stripes we are healed.

17. (4) Christ role in salvation
• Matthew 27:46 And about the ninth hour
Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli,
Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My
God, my God, why hast thou forsaken
me?
