This document discusses several "heavenly books" mentioned in the Bible, including the Book of Genealogy in Genesis that lists Adam's descendants, the Book of Life that God keeps track of whose names are written in, and the Book of the Law/Covenant that contained God's commands for Israel. It suggests that these books point to an individual destiny for each believer according to God's purpose before the world was created. The document urges Christians to wage spiritual warfare through praise, God's armor, and bringing every thought into obedience to Christ to fulfill their destiny.
Have you ever been subpoenaed to testify in a court of law? If so, describe the circumstances, what happened and how you felt? What prevents us from being effective witnesses? Do we, like the disciples, have concerns or perspectives or priorities that restrict us or distract us from effectively fulfilling our roles as witnesses?

What challenge did the nation of Israel encounter in Joshua 1:1? If you were Joshua how would you have felt? Why do you think God told him, “be strong and of good courage”? How does our definition of success influence or affect our lives? How would you define success? How does the world view success? How did the Lord use the word “success” in Joshua 1:6-9? Name 3 examples of those who are successful in the Bible and 3 who were not. What made the difference in their lives? Name the 3 commands God gave to Joshua in verses 6-9. Which command did he repeat? How many times? Why? Why does it take courage to obey the word of God? These and other questions are addressed in this study in Joshua 1.

"May the Lord Jesus put his hands on our eyes also, for then we too shall begin to look not at what is seen but at what is not seen. May he open the eyes that are concerned not with the present but with what is yet to come, may he unseal the heart's vision, that we may gaze on God in the Spirit, through the same Lord, Jesus Christ, whose glory and power will endure throughout the unending succession of ages." Who is God? what is God’s appearance today? Is it God’s word, is it the Bible? But how do we view God’s word? Is it the same as looking at what the world says?
Let’s study from the Bible, how God’s role is in the world today. We can know that if there is no God’s word, we cannot be born or live in this world. God’s word is the criterion of our life, and how we should use God’s word Lead into our lives, from individuals to groups, and finally to the world, let us lift up the word of God and illuminate this dark world
Shalom Saints,
It is in this time of Purim that we are reminded again of the power of putting on the armour of God.
Having situations and calamities still happening in our lives, we are still struggling with the very basic in our lives, to obtain peace and His promise.
Paul focused the believer on spiritual warfare, who we are wrestling with...
Ephesians 6:12 NKJV
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but
...against principalities,
...against powers,
...against the rulers of the darkness of this age,
...against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
The believer will not stand a chance if he does not put on the FULL armour of God. A partial armour also makes the believer vulnerable.
Let's learn how the enemy attack believers and how the armour of God protect us. Also to claim this privilege of protection that God has given unto each one of us.
Ephesians 6:13 NKJV
Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
Earthquake in Turkey, flood in Johor, snow in Hollywood...you can name each disaster that may seemed a distance to us physically. One disaster that is closest to ourselves is when it happen to our family.
Come and join us and learn how we can put on this armor corporately and stand firm on His protection and promise.
As you know who we are, a prayer altar. Come and join us who can pray for you behind your back.

Homily: The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity Sunday 2024.docxJames Knipper
Countless volumes have been written trying to explain the mystery of three persons in one true God, leaving us to resort to metaphors such as the three-leaf clover to try to comprehend the Divinity. Many of us grew up with the quintessential pyramidal Trinity structure of God at the top and Son and Spirit in opposite corners. But what if we looked at this ‘mystery’ from a different perspective? What if we shifted our language of God as a being towards the concept of God as love? What if we focused more on the relationship within the Trinity versus the persons of the Trinity? What if stopped looking at God as a noun…and instead considered God as a verb? Check it out…
In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.

4. Book of Life
Moses knows it, the Lord confirms it
• Ex 32:32 Yet now, if You will
forgive their sin—but if not, I
pray, blot me out of Your book
which You have written.”
• 33 And the Lord said to Moses,
“Whoever has sinned against
Me, I will blot him out of My
book.
Paul knows it too
• Phil 4:3 And I urge you also, true
companion, help these women
who labored with me in the
gospel, with Clement also, and
the rest of my fellow workers,
whose names are in the Book of
Life
5. Book of Life…warning in Book of Revelation
To the church in Sardis
• Rev 3:5 He who overcomes shall
be clothed in white garments, and
I will not blot out his name from
the Book of Life; but I will confess
his name before My Father and
before His angels.
Book and books opened…
• Rev 20:12 And I saw the dead,
small and great, standing before
God, and books were opened. And
another book was opened, which is
the Book of Life. And the dead
were judged according to their
works, by the things which were
written in the books.
• Rev 20:15 And anyone not found
written in the Book of Life was
cast into the lake of fire.
6. Book of the Covenant/Law
In preparing Israel after the sacrifices
• Ex 24:7 Then he took the Book
of the Covenant and read in the
hearing of the people. And they
said, “All that the Lord has said
we will do, and be obedient.
In preparing the Joshua generation
• Josh 1:8 This Book of the Law
shall not depart from your
mouth, but you shall meditate in
it day and night, that you may
observe to do according to all
that is written in it. For then you
will make your way prosperous,
and then you will have good
success
7. Book of the Covenant/Law
King Josiah preparing Judah
• 2 Ki 23:1 Now the king sent them to
gather all the elders of Judah and
Jerusalem to him. 2 The king went up
to the house of the LORD with all the
men of Judah, and with him all the
inhabitants of Jerusalem—the priests
and the prophets and all the people,
both small and great. And he read in
their hearing all the words of the
Book of the Covenant which had
been found in the house of
the LORD.
Charge to Kings…Also applicable to
us…Note Rev 1:6
• Deut 17:18 “Also it shall be, when he sits
on the throne of his kingdom, that he
shall write for himself a copy of this law
in a book, from the one before the
priests, the Levites. 19 And it shall be with
him, and he shall read it all the days of
his life, that he may learn to fear the
Lord his God and be careful to observe
all the words of this law and these
statutes, 20 that his heart may not be
lifted above his brethren, that he may
not turn aside from the commandment to
the right hand or to the left, and that he
may prolong his days in his kingdom, he
and his children in the midst of Israel
8. Book on Our Destiny
The Psalmist saw it…
• Ps 139: 16 Your eyes saw my
substance, being yet unformed.
And in Your book they all
were written,
The days fashioned for me,
When as yet there were none of
them.
• 17 How precious also are Your
thoughts to me, O God!
How great is the sum of them!
Isa Prophesied…
• Isa 34:16 “Search from the
book of the LORD, and read:
Not one of these shall fail;
Not one shall lack her mate.
For My mouth has commanded
it, and His Spirit has gathered
them. 17He has cast the lot for
them,
And His hand has divided it
among them with a measuring
line.
They shall possess it forever;
From generation to
generation they shall dwell in
it.
9. Our destiny…Fulfill God’s purpose
Our destiny
• 2 Tim 1:9 Who hath saved us,
and called us with an holy
calling, not according to our
works, but according to his own
purpose and grace, which was
given us in Christ Jesus before
the world began,
The Lord charged us in the last days
• Mk 13:34 It is like a man going
to a far country, who left his
house …and gave authority
to his servants,
…and to each his work,
…and commanded the
doorkeeper to watch.
10. Book of Wars
Israel conquests
• Num 14:13 From there they moved
and camped on the other side
of the Arnon, which is in the
wilderness that extends from
the border of the Amorites;
for the Arnon is the border of
Moab, between Moab and the
Amorites. 14 Therefore it is said
in the Book of the Wars of
the LORD:…
What war does the Lord wants us to
wage today?
• 2 Cor 10:3 For though we walk in
the flesh, we do not war
according to the flesh. 4 For the
weapons of our
warfare are not carnal
but mighty in God for pulling
down strongholds, 5 casting
down arguments and every
high thing that exalts itself
against the knowledge of
God, bringing every thought
into captivity to the obedience
of Christ,
11. Weapons of Warfare
Praise and Word declaration
• Ps 149:6 Let the high praises
of God be in their mouth,
And a two-edged sword in
their hand,
Armour of God
• Eph 5 10 Finally, my brethren,
be strong in the Lord and in
the power of His might. 11 Put
on the whole armor of God,
that you may be able to
stand against the wiles of
the devil.
