2. Inhaling High Levels Of Cadmium
Cadmium is a naturally occurring element that occurs in the earth s crust and water
and is released into the atmosphere through fossil fuel combustion, waste incineration
and metal production. It is commonly found as a mineral combined with various
elements such as chlorine, sulfur, and oxygen. Most rocks, soil, mineral and coal
fertilizers contain cadmium. The element enters the environment through the action
of rain and wind and mining operation. Volcanoes and forest fires release cadmium
into the air. When humans consume cadmium, it can cause severe stomach irritation
and be the cause of diarrhea and vomiting. Inhaling high levels of cadmium damages
lungs and causes death, and is a cancer causing agent. Humans are exposed to this
element
3. Dimmesdale And Roger Chillingworth In The Scarlet Letter
Reverend Mr. Dimmesdale and Roger Chillingworth are two important characters in
the story The Scarlet Letter written by Nathaniel Hawthorne. Mr. Dimmesdale, a
young minister developed an important relationship with Roger Chillingworth, a
physician. The relationship between Roger Chillingworth and Reverend Mr.
Dimmesdale starts off as a Doctor patient ,and changes as they both become
suspicious of each other, and as the story continues they came to be enemies. In the
story, Mr. Dimmesdale s health evidently began begun to fail. His cheeks were was
paler and thinner, and his voice more tremulous than before. Those who cared about
his health recommended Roger Chillingworth, a physician who extensively
acquainted himself with medical science. In this manner, the mysterious old Roger
Chillingworth became the medical adviser of the Reverend Mr.Dimmesdale. (126).

his actions. He would always leave right after with a mysterious and puzzled smile
upon his lips. A rare case! he muttered. I must needs look deeper into it. A strange
sympathy betwixt soul and body! Were it only for the art s sake, I must search this
matter to the bottom! (142). Furthermore, in early May the minister happens to be at
the scaffold, seeing Hester and Pearl, invites them to be with him. Roger
Chillingworth shows up. The minister became suspicious and asked Hester who
Chillingworth really is. Who is that man, Hester? gasped Mr. Dimmesdale, overcome
with terror. I shiver at him! Dost thou know the man? I hate him
4. Key West Essay
Key West
Key West is many people s paradise. It has dazzling waters, beautiful beaches, and a
wonderful climate. This tiny island is located off the southernmost part of Florida is
the only true tropical island in the United States. Thousands of people from all over
the world come to Key West every year for the relaxing lifestyle and rich culture. As
well as being rich in culture it is rich in history too. Key West has also been the
home to many great authors and artists and is known for having a very diverse
population.

Then after the war, the industries success decreased, but the immigration of Cubans
to Key West increased. The cigar industry soon grew to phenomenal heights and the
island became a refuge for Cuban revolutionaries (Gifford 9).
The more successful Key West was the more populated it became and soon the city
we now know as Miami spun off of Key West. In 1871, the arrival of the Cuban San
Carlos Institute and Opera House made Key West a rich and diverse city. The island
did suffer from a fire that destroyed fifty acres of downtown property in 1886, but by
then there was a steamship service and that made reconstruction of the city quick and
easy (4).
Soon the good luck of Key West was about to run out. A hurricane arrived and was
so destructive that it forced the cigar industry to the Tampa area. Then, their second
main industry, that was the sponge beds, was destroyed by a blight. The only (5)
thing they had left was the tourist industry and the Florida land boom collapsed in the
1920 s, so the only tourists they had were people passing through to Cuba. During The
Great Depression the island s problems escalated. In 1934, the people were
considering abandoning the island because up to 80% of the population was on
relief. Then a major setback occurred. The biggest hurricane to hit Key West
happened on Labor Day 1935.
The hurricane packed winds up to 200 miles an hour and killed hundreds of people.

5. William Blake Loss Of Innocence Essay
Critics of William Blake s Songs of Innocence and Experience not surprisingly have
focused their attention on the galaxy of characters whose voices are heard
throughout Blake s poems. Along with the cacophony of voices of London s

who thronged London s streets and whose piteous cries became the object of Blake s
concern, the two set of artistic manifestation portray a seamless blending between
innocence, a gradual loss of innocence and finally a metamorphosis into a higher
state of innocence. In addition to the spoken voices there runs throughout the Songs

Born in Nijmegen between 1385 and 1390, the Limbourg Brothers Herman, Paul and
Jean de Limbourg were the sons of a wood craver who unfortunately died when they
were 10 years of age. Due to the lost, their mother sent them with his brother called
Jean Malouel who was the most important painter for the French and Burgundian
Court.
While living in France, Herman and John were apprenticed by a goldsmith in Paris.
Reluctant to loose touch with their cultural Netherlandish roots, they were going
back to Nijmegen to visit their mother but they were captured and became prisoners
of war. Since the mother could not pay the ransom, Phillip the Bold paid it as a
gratitude for al the dedication Malouel have had throughout all his years at the court.
When Phillip the Bold died, the bothers went to work for his Phillip s brother, Jean

7. Charge Decay Of A Powder Surface Will Partly Decay
3.5.Storage
Over time, the charge accumulated on a powder surface will partly decay
(dissipate) (Malave Lopez and Peleg, 1985). Charge decay is a complex
phenomenon that has been measured by different techniques (Paasi et al., 2001).
The timescale for electrostatic charge decay is an important factor. For example,
there will be a higher probability of considerable charge build up on the material
when charge decay occurs slowly. The charge decay rate is a measure of the rate at
which the electrostatic charge present on the surface of a material can migrate away
(Chubb, 2002). The charge decay rate is dependent on many factors, including
material s electrical resistivity, the resistivity of the other material on contact, RH of
the surrounding air and hold time (Bailey, 1993; Sharma et al., 2001a). The lower the
material electron conductivity the longer the time needed for charge decay. A
powder in contact with a conductive material will dissipate the charge quicker than
the same powder in contact with an insulator. It is anticipated that moisture
adsorption will make the material more conductive. (Paasi et al., 2001) showed the
charge decay rate to increase with increasing RH due to a concurrent decrease in
surface resistivity. The hold time (defined as the time passed between the end of
processing and dispensing the sample into the Faraday cup for charge measurement)
was shown as the most effective option of dissipating charge following blending
(Engers et al., 2006).
9. Default Risk And The Ways Of Identifying It Essay
Default Risk and the ways of identifying it in corporate bond market
Introduction
In bond market, there are a number of bonds offered for investors to purchase such as
Treasury bonds, municipal bonds, mortgage securities and so on. Among these
various bonds, one particular kind of bond is the corporate bond which attracts a
wide range of investors with their higher return. However, there are no free lunches
in financial market. Being accompanied by the high yield, the corporate bond
investors have to face higher default risk which is the risk that the issuer will default
on its debt obligation in bond market. Especially after the 2008 crisis crunch in
which vast amounts of debt default occurred, an increasing number of investors
realize the significance of identifying the default risk in the bond investments. This
essay will first consider the reason why investors ought to recognize the default risk
and secondly, will explore the different ways in which investors can identify the
default risk of corporate bonds.
Importance of recognizing default risk
In bond market, one important indicator of distinguishing the different bonds is
the degree of default risk. A good example of this is Treasury bonds and corporate
bonds. These two bonds are similar in the structure of coupon payment and the
principal return, however, Treasury bonds generally may be viewed as the free of
default risk as we all know the government would not go bankruptcy easily, which is
a good option for

Hurricanes, just one of many of mother natures designs. What can start off as a
simple tropical storm can turn deadly within a matter of hours. High winds, rain, and
destruction seems to be the basic understand most have of hurricanes. Which for the
most part seems to be correct. Over the recent years NASA and a team of
meteorologist have been working diligently to help better improve the tracking and
prediction of hurricanes. Aside from high winds, there are much more to hurricanes
than what is understood. Before we can fully understand hurricanes we must first
look at what causes a thunderstorm to turn into a hurricane and the history of
hurricanes. With rumors that in 1494, Columbus on his second voyage recorded the
first ever hurricane. In addition, we will also be examining the role of meteorologist,
hurricane windspeeds, different categories of hurricanes, how hurricanes are tracked,
and the resources that are available to track and monitor a hurricanes paths. Lastly,
we will discuss the damaging affects that hurricanes have on and off land. With
continuous study and observation, weather forecaster are able to make critical
decision in hurricane formation.
We will first begin by explaining the formation of a hurricane and what is needed
for a tropical storm to develop into a hurricane. Tropical storms generally take their
time to progress into something serious. However, before a tropical storm forms four
conditions must be present, one being low air pressure, the

Cost of Equity is the return that stockholders require for a company. A company s
cost of equity represents the compensation that the market demands in exchange for
owning the assets and bearing the risk of ownership. Based on capital markets the
cost of equity varies in direct relation to the assumed risk in that specific market. The
distinctive of the firm is the sensitivity to market risk (ОІ) which depends on
everything from management to its business and capital structure. Therefore past
performances and present conditions have a direct effect on the overall value.
Applying calculations at a divisional level allows specified markets to be analysis

spending was expected to near future and new investments would be undertaken by

Her details about her life are vibrant and comprehensive. She talks in detail about the

For example, when the women were at an event that they had all dressed up for, they
were embarrassed because they had worn clothes that showed poor judgement. This
was a concern because they used their clothing to demonstrate their wisdom. She

This paper will examine the recent terrorist attacks in Paris, perpetrated by the self

the events in Paris will have on the international community s course of action on the
current turmoil in Syria and Iraq. As a result of this further analysis, this paper
argues three main points. First, the severity of the attack will demand a fundamental
shift in the level of aggressiveness that Western powers are willing to show against a
pseudo state actor like ISIS. Second, Frances recent invocation of the Mutual Defense
clause of the European UnionConstitution signals a possible shift in the role of large
scale international organizations in their treatment of member states. Finally, this
paper will argue that these attacks signal a negative shift in the international debate
over resolving the humanitarian crisis in Syria, resulting in stricter immigration
policies within Western countries. While final confirmation has been difficult to
obtain, public officials have stated that there were at least 129 individuals killed and
350 non fatal injuries from multiple attacks orchestrated by militant, Islamic terrorists
who were either radicalized French or Belgium citizens. These individuals pledged
themselves to ISIS, but were unable to emigrate from their host countries due to
increased border control measures. In the lead up to the Paris attacks, European and

Rhetorical Analysis
When people hear the term Ivy League school , they oftentimes think of a
prestigious, high ranked college where extremely intelligent, well rounded
individuals go to shape themselves into an efficient member of society. However, a
piece published by William Deresiewicz called Don t Send Your Kids to the Ivy
League does exactly the opposite, as Deresiewicz, a former 8 year Yale professor,
criticizes Ivy League schools for being too constricting and not allowing their
students to be themselves and come out to be a well rounded efficient member of
society. Deresiewicz is an award winning essayist and critic, as well as a frequent
college speaker, and the best selling author of the 2014 novel Excellent Sheep,
which also criticizes the roles of major Ivy League schools relating to American
society. The main theme of Don t Send Your Kids to the Ivy League is to convey
the message to parents that contrary to popular belief, Ivy League schools do not
always create perfect, well rounded individuals, and Deresiewicz uses his years of
experience at Yale and the years he attended Columbia to back up his claims that
sending away your kids to the Ivy League is not always the best choice.
The purpose of the article is to convince the audience, which is particularly parents
in this case, is that going to the Ivy League, every straight A students dream, may
not be the correct path to take. Deresiewicz uses mainly personal accounts from his
time at either Yale or Columbia and tries to convince the reader that these Ivy
League schools take creative, intelligent young individuals and turns them into an
out of touch, entitled piece of shit (Deresiewicz 201). Also, Deresiewicz uses facts
to back up his thinking that there is a lack of diversity among Ivy League schools,
meaning kids of wealthy families are much more likely to be accepted. He uses
strong wording and his own personal accounts to get his point across that the Ivy
League may not be the best choice, and that students that have the opportunity to go
to an Ivy League school should strongly reconsider.
While the majority of Deresiewicz s argument is based off his own personal
experiences and views, he does

17. A Brief Note On The Alzheimer s Association
Overall, people who take care of dementia patients must handle health care
responsibilities of the person with dementia more often than caregivers of people who
do not have dementia. Some of the common tasks outlined by the Alzheimer s
Association include assisting with daily activities around the house, managing the
medications, helping with activities of daily living such as getting dressed and
bathing, and providing support for the person with dementia as the disease
progresses. Dementia residents require significantly more assistance with activities
of daily living and help around the house in comparison to other older adults
(Alzheimer s Association, 2016). Due to the time consuming responsibilities and the
increasing level of care required during this stage, this might be a time when informal
caregivers outsource some the responsibility to formal caregivers and facilities
equipped for the level of intensity required.
Another task caregivers face as the dementia progresses in the person they are taking
care of is communication. The Alzheimer s Association provides a pamphlet on the
most prevalent behavior changes and recommendations on how the informal caregiver
should handle such changes. Common changes in communication include a gradual
loss of ability to find the right words and organize thoughts and emotions effectively,
a decline in the amount of verbal communication used, and going back to one s first
language (Alzheimer s Association, 2014b). As the disease

together and work alongside them with the objective to create an entirely new style

His philosophy was similar to that of Sam Phillips in that he was willing to accept
artists from anywhere on his way to the top, if he could profit from an artist, a deal

appreciation for artists though as he was careless and burned relationships with
supremely talented artists. He grew up in the Bronx playing guitar and piano and
composed music while still in his teenage years, all of which proved to be
important tools in his producing studio. He reportedly had the extraordinary ability
to organize music with artists to perfection in addition to a recording technique that
some referred to as the Wall of Sound. Basically, the wall of sound was a unique
style resembling a raucous roar which was created by many instruments being played
as loudly as possible, mixed with an echoing effect. Phil Spector s success is
evidenced by the many top hits he orchestrated though his studio by artists such as the
Crystals, Ronettes, Righteous Brothers, and Ike and Tina

Big Brother is an example of a distinctive game doc that caused a transitional stage
to traditional documentary and reality genre. Therefore, this essay will delve into its
artistic and cultural value that award the show this distinction. The work will
approach different dimensions evaluating the programme through a hierarchy of
concepts. It will first approach the base of the hierarchy and explain reality Tv
genre as a covering topic that Big Brother related to. Then, it will introduce a brief
overview of the show structure. Subsequently, the work will briefly address the art of
the dramatic elements and the production and budget aspect. Finally, it will mainly
focus on the cultural appeal of Big Brother to its audience.
Big Brother programme is categorised as a reality TV show. However, The term of
reality TV is significantly broad. The reality TV is a representation of realism or
actual aspects in different forms and modes composing one genre. It is in effect a
contrast to imaginary to refer to the existence world in contrast to the fantasy world.
Bignel (2005, P:61) clarified that The artificiality of the scenario in some reality Tv
programmes is countered by their use of non actor participants, no scripts and a
temporal progression which is close to the linear unfolding of lived daily time. Also,
Television reviewer Kerrie Murphy has a broader

absolutely different answers to one and the same question, a rather tricky one, I
would say.
To tell you the truth, after I asked myself the same question, several things went
through my mind. What kind of parent will I be? How will I raise a child? Can I be a
good parent? What turns ordinary people into good parents? Panic overtook me and
I felt an overwhelming desire to rush to the local bookstore to purchase loads of
parenting ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, this is where common sense takes over. There will be things about the
way we were raised that we liked and disliked. The areas that we did not like about
the way we were raised can be turned around when we raise our own children. This
is how, I think, we can develop into a good parent.
Right now I would like to give some tips on how to become a good, loving parent.
To tell you the truth, I am a little bit afraid to sound superficial, as I am not a parent
yet. But, from another side, I had enough experience of being a child. So, now
when I am in my early twenties I can evaluate the way I was brought up by my
parents. It is true, the older we are the more we can understand our parents. Well, let
s pass on to the tips:
Recognize your child for the individual that they are. No two children are alike, and
even though they may resemble you, they are not you. You may have a child that
loves sports and one that can t stand to be outdoors. We should consider the
individuality of each child as a blessing and pursue ways to expand on that.
Discipline your child. That is not to say that you have to spank your child or beat
them unmercifully. Choose the method that works best for your child. You are the
adult in your relationship and should be the master manipulator.
Be involved in the schooling. Ask questions regarding how your child

Net Present Value
Net Present Value Formula
Net Present Value (NPV) is a formula used to determine the present value of an
investment by the discounted sum of all cash flows received from the project. The
formula for the discounted sum of all cash flows can be rewritten as
Net Present Value Alternative Formula
When a company or investor takes on a project or investment, it is important to
calculate an estimate of how profitable the project or investment will be. In the
formula, the C0 is the initial investment, which is a negative cash flow showing that
money is going out as opposed to coming in. Considering that the money going out is
subtracted from the discounted sum of cash flows coming in, the net present value
would need to be ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Solution
Step 1: Prepare a table to calculate discounted cash flow of each period by
multiplying the actual cash flows by present value factor. Create a cumulative
discounted cash flow column. Year n | Cash Flow
CF| Present Value Factor
PV$1=1/(1+i)n| Discounted Cash Flow
CFГ—PV$1| Cumulative Discounted
Cash Flow| 0| $ в€’2,324,000| 1.0000| $ в€’2,324,000| $ в€’2,324,000| 1| 600,000|

Step 2: Discounted Payback Period = 5 + | 106,462| / 320,785 ≈ 5.32 years
Advantages and Disadvantages
Advantage: Discounted payback period is more reliable than simple payback period
since it accounts for time value of money. It is interesting to note that if a project has
negative net present value it won t pay back the initial investment.
Disadvantage: It ignores the cash inflows from project after the payback period
NPV = FV + (PV1) + (PV2) + (PV3) + (PV4) + (PV5) (1+ r) n1 (1+ r) n2 (1+ r) n3

Discounted Payback Period
One of the major disadvantages of simple payback period is that it ignores the time

Amigo Brothers By Piri Thomas Antonio Cruz and Felix Vargas were both
seventeen years old. They were so together in friendship that they felt themselves to
be brothers. They had known each other since childhood, growing up on the lower
east side of Manhattan in the same tenement building on Fifth Street between
Avenue A and Avenue B. Antonio was fair, lean, and lanky, while Felix was dark,
short, and husky. Antonio s hair was always falling over his eyes, while Felix wore
his black hair in a natural Afro style. Each youngster had a dream of someday
becoming lightweight champion of the world. Every chance they had the boys

Okay? If it s fair, hermano, I m for it. Antonio admired the courage of a tugboat
pulling a barge five times its welterweight size. It s fair, Tony. When we get into
the ring, it s gotta be like we never met. We gotta be like two heavy strangers that
want the same thing, and only one can have it. You understand, don tcha? Si, I

Listen, Tony. Don t you think it s a good idea if we don t see each other until the
day of the fight? I m going to stay with my Aunt Lucy in the Bronx. I can use

would be better for our heads. He held out his hand, palm upward. Deal? Deal.
Felix lightly slapped open skin. Ready for some more running? Tony asked lamely.
Naw, bro. Let s cut it here. You go on. I kinda like to get things together in my
head. You ain t worried, are you? Tony asked. No way, man. Felix laughed out loud.

The banking industry also involves the practice of offering varied products which are
necessary to ensure that they are able to maintain the advantage in a highly

to look for various avenues to meet the customer needs. However, it needs to be
understood that the Automatic Teller Machines (ATMs) had the most penetration in

that has been witnessed in the technology front, like the old age people who are not

Visualize a time period where women are treated as objects and you are in severe
poverty. You constantly lose friends and sometimes you get desperate enough to pay

a tough world. In the House on Mango Street the author illustrates that Esperanza can
t accept her identity because of her genderand economic status.
Esperanza illustrates how her gender is looked down upon and treated badly.
Women all around the community are beaten or locked in their houses by their
husband. Esperanza notices that women in general have to serve their husbands
and how girls around the area are abused. Esperanza mentions that My mother says
when I get older I will settle and my blouse will learn to stay clean, but I have
decided not to grow tame like the other who lay their necks on the threshold
waiting for the ball and chain. (88) In this quote when she states she will not grow
tame like the others who waited for the ball and chain she is referring to the other
woman on Mango Street who didn t take action. The quote by Esperanza implies
that she will do something about this and not wait to accept the bad treatment.
Esperanza is naturally given the identity of a fragile girl but she will not accept that
and will do what it takes to get a new identity. In Esperanza s race women are wanted

Research Question: How did the modernization that Muhammad Ali Pasha
encouraged impact the Egypt economically, socially, and politically?
Around the 18th century, Imperialism was the most powerful force in the world. In
1798, Napoleon Bonaparte, the French emperor, invaded Egypt to expand the French
influence. After the short, three year occupation of Egypt, Napoleon was forced to
withdraw back to France, and there was a struggle for power in Egypt. Muhammad
Ali Pasha, an Ottoman Turkish military leader, was one of those people who tried
to gain power. He was born in 1769 in Kavala, a city in Northern Greece, and came to
Egypt with a group of highly trained Albanian soldiers to ... Show more content on

To gain power and to be the leader of Egypt, he committed massacres of Mamluks
who ruled Egypt before French invaded. He killed them, and the event became
known as the Massacre of Cidetal. The fact that he slaughtered innocent people
seems cruel and brutal. However, it was necessary to overthrow the government
ruled by Mamluks for the development of Egypt, considering the government s
weaknesses. The government at the time was ineffective and weak. Mamluks
were not united, and struggled for power among themselves ( The Pasha s
Bedouin ). Egypt was invaded because the government was not functioning
properly, and Mamluks were not able to do anything even after French started to
rule the country. By taking power from Mamluks entirely, Muhammad Ali
minimized the possibility of rebellions and established the strong military which
prevented other countries from invading Egypt. Some other sacrifices were made
during his modernization project. His modernization cost the lives of some
100,000 of the Egyptian peasants who were ordered to do the digging and caused
great suffering as he increased the taxes. ( Muhammad Ali Pasha ). A tax inspector
who served for Muhammad stated a village which had formerly paid 1,000 riyals
in taxes ... was now assessed at between 10,000 and 100,000 riyals, more or less
because Muhammad increased taxes ( Muhammad `Ali s Tax Inspectors ). The
increase in taxes would have caused great suffering to people. However, it cannot be
denied that his modernization plans were needed to make Egypt strong. Although
people suffered from high taxes, he brought positive influences on Egypt by using
those taxes effectively. With his projects, Egypt was able to establish cotton
agriculture which still supports Egypt s economy still today, and brought economic
growth which would make people s lives better because the country can get more
profits to organize and to create

environmentalist he was the driving force behind the Organic Act of 1916. Wilson s
Organic Act set grounds for the founding of the National Park Service, which sets and
enforces regulations that protect National Parks. Woodrow Wilson s determination,
conveyed by his adamant support for the Organic Act, was evident throughout Wilson
s lifetime. Wilson realized how important it was to protect America s land and took
action to protect it. Through the Organic Act, Wilson was able to save the current
thirty five national parks and land for hundreds of future national parks throughout
the United States. The founding of the National Park Servicewas a major part of
Wilson s plan to preserve and protect America s natural land. Wilson s idea of
preservation of the United States land has lived throughout the years through the
National ParkService. The National Park Service today continues with the same
responsibilities along with a multifarious collection of others. The actions taken in
the Organic Act of 1916 have helped eternalize the ideas proposed by President
Wilson by preserving the scarce remaining natural land of America. In Wilson s
childhood and early manhood, he faced many obstacles, but he was determined to
succeed in his life by never giving up. He overcame many of his obstacles with his
theory that the only use for an obstacle is to be overcome (Wilson 1913). One of the

The rags to riches film, Slumdog Millionaire (2008), is a picaresque narrative
about two Indian brothers growing up in one of the largest slum areas in Bombay,

and truthful and has faith in his destiny. His older brother Salim is his opposite, and
he becomes corrupted by his desire to make money. The filmrecounts Jamal s life,

The audience sees some characters believing that destiny will determine their fate
whereas others are searching for power in the form of influence or money. A two
colour structure is used to highlight these aspects where yellow represents hope
and blue represents power. The film opens in a golden light, which symbolises
money but also the hope of becoming a millionaire. Generally, Jamal s childhood
memories are visualised in warm and bright colours that become colder and muted
as his life adverse experiences approach the present. Latika wears bright yellow to
symbolise happier times. However, when she is separated from Jamal or is being
exploited and forced into prostitution by Maman or the crime boss, Javed, she
wears less yellow and the colour is muted. In contrast, the protagonists are
portrayed in dark or washed out colours in scenes that include blue hues that signify
power. The blue god Rama also symbolises the Hindu vigilantes attacking the
Muslim residents. The interrogation scenes use unusual camera angles and lighting
to further emphasise power, such as when Jamal is depicted in a dim light, but
light is shone on the top of the interrogator at the rear of the shot. Overall, India s
polar society is separated through colour and by space; where the poor wear dark,
dirty clothes and live in dark, bland houses and the wealthy wear colourful, clean

Ambrosine though we ll get to the actual story behind that at a later point. Notice
the key words used to be . It used to be that no other demon even dared to challenge
me to any sort of fight. They already knew what would happen; I d slaughter them.
Plus the fact that it was against the rules of Ambrosine to challenge another demonto
a serious fight without the Demon Masters permission, but I choose to ignore that
bit. But before my fellow demons began to fear me, I was living a relatively
normal demon s life or as close to normal as you could get, for a demon. My mother
had died when I was at a young age and my father raised me from then on. I never
had a motherly figure so, naturally, I picked up male centric hobbies. I fought other
children younger, my age, and older, and in most cases I came out victorious. I was
inevitably avoided and feared after so many brawls. I was then suddenly recruited
to the Academy, where I was taught further in the category of fighting. I eventually
made my way into the top students. I was feared even more after that. Then, one
moronic demon chose to kill my father. Consequences according to the Demon
Masters was that any demon who killed another demon would be put on a fair trial
and most likely be exiled if found guilty. Macon was the name of the demon who
had murdered my father. He was put on trial, found responsible, then was supposed

38. Jesus Christ Superstar Analysis
I think the rock opera Jesus Christ Superstar gained much attention because it
appealed to youth, but appalled the older generation because of its rock theme and
interpretations. After all, some believed the theme went against the grain of the
church (Bible) and how people viewed it. The brilliance in this opera was to tell the
story of JesusChrist using rock music to tell the complete story of Jesus Christ from
beginning to end by providing a synopsis of the story as was told in the Bible. There
are a ton of excerpts from this opera that related to events happening in the 70s. The
three themes that I chose are fame, revolution and radicalism, and humility
Fame
Jesus Christ was the ultimate Superstar! It only took him three years to amass
thousands of followers. In Act 1 Simon Zealotes makes reference about the crowds
of people who seek his attention. Christ you know I love you. Did you see I
waved? Touch me, touch me, Jesus. Kiss me kiss me, Jesus. As you can imagine, as
his glamour increased among the people, it would eventually lead to social upheaval
with both the Romans and the Jews. He was seen as both a savior by the people and
trouble to authoritarians.
The scene relates to the 70s in terms of having that rock star image with pop
culture. Jesus popularity with people and how they responded to him was like the
60s and 70s where teens idolized Elvis and the Beetles. Also associate with Fame,
especially with teens was not being accepted by
39. Applying the Concept of Bipower to China s One Child
Policy
Michel Foucault was a French philosopher and one of the most influential social
theorists of the second half of the twentieth century. He was born on the 15th of
October 1936 and passed away on the 25th June 1984. His theories addressed the
relationship between power and knowledge, and how they are used as a form of
social control. His analysis breaks the concept of power apart, and his theory explains
differences in various modes of power. In his study the History of Sexuality, he
explores in the firth volume called Right of Death and Power over Life the triangle
of power: (I) sovereign power; (II) disciplinary power; and (III) biopower. In this
essay I will describe the relationship between each power and apply the concept of
biopower to China s one child Policy.
First what is Biopower? Well according to Foucault, biopower is a technology of
power, which is a way of managing and controlling entire populations. Biopower
led to the emergence of the modern nation state and capitalism. Foucault describes
it as an explosion of numerous and diverse techniques for achieving the
subjugations of bodies and the control of populations (Foucault 140). The primary
and most important goal of biopower is life. The government goal is to secure and
improve people s lives. Power is exercised exclusively over life, and is exercised
either to foster life or to disallow it. Biopower according to Foucault is a power that
exerts a positive influence on life, that endeavours to

Policies and Guidelines
Any organisation that have the usage of IT system needs to have policies in place
that specify all the actions needed to deal with certain problems.
Disaster Recovery Policy
This is a plan of what to do when things go wrong for example acts of theft, loss of
data or natural disasters such as fire or earthquake. This might have an impact on the
organisation s business function or security.
Updating of security procedures

The organisation can monitor their employees by CCTV camera. This would be for

content they are browsing. In order to do this, the employees have to agree to the
organisation s terms and conditions.
Risk management
Risk management always identifies people who are responsible for any strategic or
operational action. Risk management protects the organisation by:
Identifying the possible threats
Limiting those threats to acceptable levels
Helping to make decisions about opportunities.
Budget setting
This is important for any organisation as they have to set budget. The organisation
should make sure that they stay within their budget and not exceeding it. For
example, the organisation can budget on how much to spend on software updates
each year so that they get the latest software in the organisation.

The Church was much different in the early days. There was strict discipline, an

Church beautiful. Although the structure and teachings of the Church have

religion was not simply a domination that one belonged to. It was a lifestyle that
one lived. It was a reason to live and it was a reason to die. Many, knowing that
they would be rewarded after death, suffered horrible tortures and even death for
their faith. The early Church had the joy of a young child. Like young children,
the people of the Church proclaimed the good news to all. They told everyone that
would hear them in places of the public such as in forums. Many, being made aware
of the gospel and being confronted with people who had been living the life of a
Christian, had a change of heart and were converted. All those who belonged to the
Church knew the importance of helping one another reach their desired end, that is,
Heaven. They would encourage each other and rejoice with another when they

Preparation for certain events, such as baptism, required the act of fasting, Sins

importance of doing things such as doing the laundry. Again, when the rules are strict,
one often sees the opposite happen. The children seem careless of their duties at the
same time they know the consequences of not doing certain chores around the house.
In other words, order seems more vulnerable when discipline is not
43. Comparing Dostoevsky s Crime And Punishment
Quite possibly one of Dostoevsky s most popular and iconic works, Crime and
Punishment is easily read as a chilling crime thriller a drama concerning a young
man suffering the guilt and fear brought on by a brutal murder. Indeed, this is often
how the work is viewed, accompanied, perhaps, with an emphasis on religion, or
suffering, or love. Yet to read Crime and Punishmentin this manner would be to lose
a large portion of who Raskolnikov is, his motives, and how Dostoevsky wrote the
character. While it is possible to read Dostoevsky s Crime and Punishment as a simple
crime thriller with a religious theme, its is impossible to fully understand the story of
Raskolnikov, that being the murder, his confession, and his redemption, without

Even on the first page of Crime and Punishment, Raskolnikov demonstrates his
guilt. Indebted to his landlady, he fears meeting her, slinking from his apartment
out into a world that he views with all the charity of an impoverished misanthrope.
The question is: where did this guilt come from? The answer lies with his poverty.
In an attempt to rebel against his mother, to whom Raskolnikov is [her]
everything, all [her] wishes and all [her] hope (Dostoevsky 28), Raskolnikov
intentionally abandons his studies and refuses to work. Ironically, far from being
independent from his mother, little Rodia endes up accepting a portion of his
mother s pension to support himself. This dynamic between dependence and
independence accentuates his failure both to satisfy his mother and to be free of
his mother s expectations. In the words of Ilham Dilman, Professor Emeritus in the
Department of Philosophy at the University of Wales Swansea, he thus complies
with his mother s wishes and defies her at the same time; he accepts her offer of a
dependent relationship to spite her (Dilman 194). In Raskolnikov s mind, he can
never live up to the Rodia that his mother has conjured up. The end result is a
remarkably negative and stressful maternal relationship that is first and for most a
source of guilt. Raskolnikov dreads meeting his landlady partially because he owes
her money, but also because she reminds of his mother. She provides him with food
and shelter, but, because of his actions, he cannot satisfy her expectations (Breger 6).
Yet, Raskolnikov s landlady is not the only individual on whom raskolnikov projects
his guilt. Alyona Ivanova elicits similar feelings as Raskolnikov turns to her
unscrupulous and cut throat business for money. Alyona, however, lacks the maternal
care that Raskolnikov
44. Taxation Of National Tax Sovereignty For Income Tax
In this essay, the issues for taxation of national tax sovereignty for income tax,
corporation tax, value added tax and excise duties are discussed as well as an
opinion as to whether sovereign nations should compete or co operate on matters of
tax policy. Sovereign nations have different tax rates and they tend to change with
each taxyear. The issues of direct and indirect taxes are numerous and this essay will
discuss two major aspects of each using the recent issue of Scotland s independence
for major explanations. These are direct taxes such as Income taxand Corporation tax;
indirect taxes such as Value Added Tax
(VAT) and Excise tax.
Income tax as defined by Melville, 2014 (page 15) is: tax assessed for a tax year
(or year of assessment ) and is based on the taxpayer s total income for the year
from all sources, ignoring any income which is exempt from income tax .
Sovereign nations set their own taxes individually and as such taxpayers respond
differently depending on the changes in tax rate in the respective tax system. The
changes in income tax rate from one tax year to another affects both high and low
income earners. However, in an analysis for four decades of the US tax system, it
was concluded that high income earners tend to respond to a greater extent to tax
changes than low income tax payers . Likewise, Micro economists suggest that this is
majorly due to the fact that educational achievements are a major contributor to the
differences in income between

The role of diet is a very important aspect in the development and prevention of
cardiovascular disease. High levels of cholesterol in the blood is strongly

your blood, you need to work with your doctor to make it lower, or face a high risk
of heart attack, stroke, or other cardiovascular event. Most circulating cholesterol
is produced by the liver and cannot be broken down as easily and by all means you
should avoid trans fats which are found in many fast foods, junk foods, and
commercial processed foods. Hydrogenated vegetable oils like margarine, certain
coffee creamers, and vegetable shortening are also linked to heart disease. Some

Many teens consume higher amounts of fat, sodium, and sugar thereby increasing the
risk of obesity and diabetes. Obesity is associated with significally increased risk of
more than 20 chronic disease and health conditions including diabetes, hypertension,
high cholesterol, heart disease, stroke, arthritis, and certain cancers. People who
are overweight have an increased risk for type 2 diabetes. Many studies have
looked at the possibility that specific dietary components or nutrients are
associated with increases or decreases in cancer risk. Studies of cancer cells in the
laboratory and of animal models have sometimes provided evidence that isolated
compounds may be carcinogenic. One thing I noticed when going through my first
part of my diet project is that I was very low in carbohydrates. Carbohydrates are
found in a wide array of both healthy and unhealthy foods and come in a variety of
forms. The most common and abundant forms are sugars, fibers, and starches.
Carbohydrates provide the body with glucose, which is converted to energy used to
support bodily functions and physical activity. After reviewing the benefits of

Poverty Alleviation, Economic Development and the World Trade Organization
According to U nited Nations Conference on Trade and Development(2004),
international trade can play a positive and important role in reducing poverty in
developing countires. Therefore, poverty alleviation has strong correlation with
economic development and international trade.Even though other political, social and
cultural problems arethe causes of poverty, it is believed that the various causes are
so complicated that no simple soultion is universially applicable. Also, although there
were many strategies and international aid for developing countries, the majority of
countries thar were underdeveloped fifty years ago still remain poor. (Lee,2006) Thus,

The developing countries still faced problems such as lack of access to largely closed
Western markets for developing countries products ; reduced commitment to making
development and reform agriculture central components of the Doha agenda and
extension of the trading regime into protecting intellectual property rights as well as
liberalizing trade in services. Also, The agenda of the WTO continues to ignore
labour, health and environmental standards and the issue of food security. Thus, the
developed countries dominated the decision making process and controlled the
aganda within the WTO which undermined the development of the developing
countries and poverty alleviation.
The unequal Agreement on Agriculture which hindered development of developing
countries and failed to combat poverty in the long run. The Agreement on Agriculture
provides limited special and differential treatment to developing countries. Also, the
agreement provides no guarantee of food security. Also, in terms of exceptions to the
domestic subsidy reduction, the developing countries gain few from the exceptions
as they have limited financial resources to provide large subsidies. On the other
hand, the developed countries continued to subsidize their exports and heavily and
allow heavy tariff on the imports.Dumping from developed countries always occurred

48. Rock Concept Album
Am pretty sure my admiration for progressive rock concept albums started back
when I started seriously getting into collecting record albums. As a kid in my
single digits, I had 45 s (singles) and whatever else one not quite a teenager yet
would have, including the first Partridge Family album (1970). To my credit, I was
never interested in what pop songs The Brady Bunch was putting out, but I ll
admit I did have a boyhood crush on Marcia (Maureen McCormick). Along came
my teen years. From hanging out with my friends, and sometimes their older
siblings, I became exposed to more of what they were playing on the FM radio
stations, then the AM ones. Rock n Roll was my thing. To this day, which it
primarily still is. My first real rock album;... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
My only regret is that at least on one track, that it don t rock out just a tad harder.
For I know Leon and company are more than capable. But it s cool. We do have lots
of rock moments mixed in with the more mellow stuff. Hard to complain. Besides
that, I can t say enough good words about the overall concept story approach. A
solid futuristic, apocalyptic tale that inspires intelligent thought. I strongly
recommend paying the extra money and getting the physical CD. It really
compliments what you ll hear, as far as packaging. The artwork / photography
stands out. Comes with a very well done booklet, that includes the story in written
form, plus comic book illustrations. I would love to see this done like an old school
vinyl album. I imagine it would even come with a poster, and a few stickers. I can t
say enough ... this is really, really well done! Okay to buy the download as well. It is
the music here that I find most important. The rest is icing on the
