- While cloud computing has grown significantly among startups and developers since the mid-2000s, traditional IT within companies has been slower to adopt cloud, with companies currently delivering on average only 18% of their workloads from the cloud.
- This gap is due to early cloud platforms having issues with outages, security, complexity and inflexibility, as well as C-level fears around migration and adaptation. However, cloud computing has now matured and cloud security concerns are decreasing, while IT budgets are growing again. As a result, the majority of traditional IT workloads are expected to transition to the cloud by 2020.

Organizations need a plan for moving from their current state toward cloud models based on standardized and consolidated platforms, shared services, self-service and metered use. How can organizations get started on the evolution to cloud computing? This webcast explores how enterprises can create a roadmap to cloud computing, including developing the business case; financial models; governance considerations; security considerations; organizational, policy and process considerations; and technical architecture considerations.
Exploring Interconnection Oriented Architectures with AWSAmazon Web Services
As cloud usage takes off, data production grows exponentially, content pushes closer to the edge, and end users demand data and applications at all hours from all locations, the ability to seamless interconnect with cloud services becomes more pivotal to Enterprise IT transformation. In this session we will share what interconnection oriented architecture is and the reasons why certain enterprises have chosen this architecture to future proof their IT investments. We will also examine a joint solution with our partner ViewQwest and how to extend it with certain AWS use cases.

Cloud Computing and the Gaming Industry - ProfitBricks TalkProfitBricks
Cloud Computing is transforming the Gaming Industry and providing numerous benefits for organizations that migrate their development, testing and production systems to the Cloud. In this talk, Axel Herr, COO of ProfitBricks, the world's Price/Performance leader in Cloud Computing IaaS shares his unique insight from 30+ years in the IT/Gaming industry and why Cloud Computing makes gaming companies more agile and have lower costs. ProfitBricks is the only Cloud Computing provider to offer InfiniBand based networking free of charge and these 80 Gbps connections between servers and between servers and storage provide HPC (High Performance Computing) like networking speeds with low latency.
Cloud Computing is growing rapidly and many organizations are making the transition to cloud based deployments of applications, databases and more. However, selecting a Cloud provider can be complicated and difficult - as you really can not compare apples and oranges in the cloud. We created this checklist to make it easier for your organization to assess different providers based on the top 11 factors you'll want to consider.
Learn more about how IaaS is changing and our experts will provide you with the tools you need to evaluate providers and distinguish between 1st and 2nd generation Cloud offerings. Whether you currently host applications in the Cloud or are considering a transition to cloud infrastucture, the special program will have something for you:
•IaaS history
•IaaS Today
•Marketplace and offerings overview
•What's wrong with IaaS and why are 80% of servers still being hugged

Suzanne Lagerweij - Influence Without Power - Why Empathy is Your Best Friend...Suzanne Lagerweij
This is a workshop about communication and collaboration. We will experience how we can analyze the reasons for resistance to change (exercise 1) and practice how to improve our conversation style and be more in control and effective in the way we communicate (exercise 2).
This session will use Dave Gray’s Empathy Mapping, Argyris’ Ladder of Inference and The Four Rs from Agile Conversations (Squirrel and Fredrick).
Abstract:
Let’s talk about powerful conversations! We all know how to lead a constructive conversation, right? Then why is it so difficult to have those conversations with people at work, especially those in powerful positions that show resistance to change?
Learning to control and direct conversations takes understanding and practice.
We can combine our innate empathy with our analytical skills to gain a deeper understanding of complex situations at work. Join this session to learn how to prepare for difficult conversations and how to improve our agile conversations in order to be more influential without power. We will use Dave Gray’s Empathy Mapping, Argyris’ Ladder of Inference and The Four Rs from Agile Conversations (Squirrel and Fredrick).
In the session you will experience how preparing and reflecting on your conversation can help you be more influential at work. You will learn how to communicate more effectively with the people needed to achieve positive change. You will leave with a self-revised version of a difficult conversation and a practical model to use when you get back to work.
Come learn more on how to become a real influencer!
