A Go to Market Strategy is a strategic plan that organizations use to outline how they will bring a new product, service, or business model to market. This strategy is created with the intention of attaining competitive advantage in the industry by improving the overall product experience of the customer (e.g., reasonable price, high quality materials, etc.). While creating an enticing value proposition is a commonly used strategic plan of organizations, the Go to Market Strategy is unique in that it specifically highlights how the company will use internal and external resources to differentiate and establish itself to succeed in a new market segment or geography.

How to Drive Growth with Customer Success MetricsGainsight
The most successful Enterprise SaaS companies know that growing revenue only through new customer acquisition is the less efficient way to scale. Rather, they understand that growing revenue within your existing customer base - through up-sells, cross-sells, and expanded use - is the most profitable way to scale.
In fact, Enterprise SaaS companies that grow revenue - and company valuation - by expanding revenue within their existing customer base also know the key to making this work is to focus on - and operationalize - Customer Success.
This presentation - How to Drive Growth with Customer Success Metrics - is from Pulse 2014, the biggest Customer Success industry event ever and included panelists Aaron Ross, author of Predictable Revenue, Jason Lemkin of Storm Ventures, Tomasz Tunguz of Redpoint Ventures, and Brian Stafford McKinsey.

Imagine combining the best of both worlds: SaaS + Marketplace.

Making a Marketplace: A Checklist for Online DisruptionNir Eyal
On November 13, 2012, Bill Gurley, a partner at Benchmark Capital, posted a remarkable essay on his blog. In it, he described the, “10 factors to consider when evaluating digital marketplaces.” Given the tremendous value marketplaces are known to create and how hard they are to get right, we found this essay to be a goldmine of insight. We wanted to digest Bill’s post into a more memorable format.
The result is this brief checklist we hope will help take some of the luck out of evaluating marketplace businesses. As Bill wrote, “It is unlikely that you will find a marketplace opportunity that would score ten out of ten with respect to this list.” But according to Bill, the odds of success improve the more of these characteristics the business exhibits.

Cloud is one of that kind of digital services that is already here and materialized. Cloud services landscape is becoming more and more dense but still there is a chance for telecom players to take part in that field. Unfortunately, Communication Service Providers are late to come in and therefore it is not sufficient to put computing capacities and just sell them anymore. The economy of scale reached by current industry leaders can barely be beaten even by the largest CSPs. Therefore, some other smarter options should be found to compete with likes of Amazon, Microsoft and Google. This ppt paper is just an effort to think of CSPs role in cloud services domain and any ideas and suggestions for further discussion is very welcome.

CMOs should use accountability to build a bridge between marketing and the rest of the organisation. To change the perception that marketing is a cost centre, investments in marketing must translate to the bottom line results. Yet most marketing professionals don’t dare to to assume accountability on the bottom line results and to prove their contribution to the organisation. Last year we launched the first study called ‘Can B2B marketers show ROI?’, as we wanted to see how CMO’s has taken MPM into their organisations in 2015, we re-visited about 30 CMO’s and surveyed them about this topic.

Digital Commerce Lecture for Advanced Digital & Social Media Strategy at UCLA...Valters Lauzums
E-commerce in 2024 is characterized by a dynamic blend of opportunities and significant challenges. Supply chain disruptions and inventory shortages are critical issues, leading to increased shipping delays and rising costs, which impact timely delivery and squeeze profit margins. Efficient logistics management is essential, yet it is often hampered by these external factors. Payment processing, while needing to ensure security and user convenience, grapples with preventing fraud and integrating diverse payment methods, adding another layer of complexity. Furthermore, fulfillment operations require a streamlined approach to handle volume spikes and maintain accuracy in order picking, packing, and shipping, all while meeting customers' heightened expectations for faster delivery times.
Amid these operational challenges, customer data has emerged as an important strategy. By focusing on personalization and enhancing customer experience from historical behavior, businesses can deliver improved website and brand experienced, better product recommendations, optimal promotions, and content to meet individual preferences. Better data analytics can also help in effectively creating marketing campaigns, improving customer retention, and driving product development and inventory management.
Innovative formats such as social commerce and live shopping are beginning to impact the digital commerce landscape, offering new ways to engage with customers and drive sales, and may provide opportunity for brands that have been priced out or seen a downturn with post-pandemic shopping behavior. Social commerce integrates shopping experiences directly into social media platforms, tapping into the massive user bases of these networks to increase reach and engagement. Live shopping, on the other hand, combines entertainment and real-time interaction, providing a dynamic platform for showcasing products and encouraging immediate purchases. These innovations not only enhance customer engagement but also provide valuable data for businesses to refine their strategies and deliver superior shopping experiences.
The e-commerce sector is evolving rapidly, and businesses that effectively manage operational challenges and implement innovative strategies are best positioned for long-term success.
Financial curveballs sent many American families reeling in 2023. Household budgets were squeezed by rising interest rates, surging prices on everyday goods, and a stagnating housing market. Consumers were feeling strapped. That sentiment, however, appears to be waning. The question is, to what extent?
To take the pulse of consumers’ feelings about their financial well-being ahead of a highly anticipated election, ThinkNow conducted a nationally representative quantitative survey. The survey highlights consumers’ hopes and anxieties as we move into 2024. Let's unpack the key findings to gain insights about where we stand.
Monthly Social Media News Update May 2024Andy Lambert
TL;DR. These are the three themes that stood out to us over the course of last month.
1️⃣ Social media is becoming increasingly significant for brand discovery. Marketers are now understanding the impact of social and budgets are shifting accordingly.
2️⃣ Instagram’s new algorithm and latest guidance will help us maintain organic growth. Instagram continues to evolve, but Reels remains the most crucial tool for growth.
3️⃣ Collaboration will help us unlock growth. Who we work with will define how fast we grow. Meta continues to evolve their Creator Marketplace and now TikTok are beginning to push ‘collabs’ more too.
Search Engine Marketing - Competitor and Keyword researchETMARK ACADEMY
Over 2 Trillion searches are made per day in Google search, which means there are more than 2 Trillion visits happening across the websites of the world wide web.
People search various questions, phrases or words. But some words and phrases are searched
more often than others.
For example, the words, ‘running shoes’ are searched more often than ‘best road running
shoes for men’
These words or phrases which people use to search on Google are called Keywords.
Some keywords are searched more often than others. Number of times a keyword is searched
for in a month is called keyword volume.
Some keywords have more relevant results than others. For the phrase “running shoes” we
get more than 80M relevant results, whereas for “best road running shoes for men” we get
only 8.
The former keyword ‘running shoes’ has way more competition from popular websites to
new and small blogs, whereas the latter keyword doesn’t have that much competition. This
search competition for a keyword is called search difficulty of a keyword or keyword
difficulty.
In other words, if the keyword difficulty is ‘low’ or ‘easy’, there won’t be any competition
and if you target such keywords on your site, you can easily rank on the front page of Google.
Some keywords are searched for, just to know or to learn some information about something,
that’s their search intention. For example, “What shoe size should I choose?” or “How to pick
the right shoe size?”
These keywords which are searched just to know about stuff are called informational
keywords. Typically people who are searching this type of keywords are top of a Conversion
funnel.
Conversion funnel is the journey that search visitors go through on their way to an email
subscription or a premium subscription to the services you offer or a purchase of products
you sell or recommend using your referral link.
For some buyers, research is the most important part when they have to buy a product.
Depending on that, their journey either widens or narrows down. These types of buyers are
Researchers and they spend more time with informational keywords.
Conversion is the action you want from your search visitors. Number of conversions that you
get for every 100 search visitors is called Conversion rate.
People who are at different stages of a conversion funnel use different types of keywords.

6. What channels do
our customers
come through?
Burning questions we were
asking ourselves…
How can we
better target
audiences?
Which marketingtactics had themost impact?
7. We really needed to
know which marketing
strategies were
generating revenue for
the company.
9. We tried two things:
1
Measure our marketing
performance by:
- opportunities created
- revenue generated
- new customers closed
10. We tried two things:
2
Collect and use
data from the
entire funnel when
making decisions.
11. Using metrics like...
Revenue by channel
Revenue by lead source
Opportunities by keyword
Opportunities by channel
… helped us prove our impact
on the bottom line.
12. Using these metrics convinced us
of three things...
1. Lead generation should not be our only focus.
2. Marketing doesn’t make sense without a clear
connection to revenue and sales.
3. Using and optimizing for top-of-funnel metrics
only gives us half the picture.
14. Marketers often optimize for the wrong KPI’s.

16. We realized just how
strange marketing sounds
without a clear connection
to sales and revenue.
17. Hello, I am a
marketer and
I help grow
companies.
Imagine explaining marketing to
aliens...
Ooooooo….
How do you
prove the value
you create?
20. Top-of-the-funnel metrics are still
useful, but there’s so much more that
can be done today...
- more touchpoints
- more customer decisions
- more content
- more channels
- more testing
Understanding the
customer journey
is tough…
...but it’s more
important than
ever.
21. When marketers can't see a
buyer's journey from beginning
to end, they're unable to
optimize their marketing dollars
to generate more customers.
Which might be why….
22. Only 1 in 5 marketers earn top marks from the
C-Suite for their ability to prove their value and
contribution, compared to 1 in 4 marketers in
prior years.
- Marketing Performance Management, 2015
23. Only 1% of leads turn into revenue for the
average company. And top performers don’t even
get to 2%.
- Forrester
24. Only 25% of leads are legitimate and should
advance to sales.
- Gleanster Research
25. 61% of B2B marketers send all leads directly to
Sales; however, only 27% of those leads will be
qualified.
- MarketingSherpa
26. 61% of B2B marketers send all leads directly to

Ah, that
sucks!
27. Pipeline marketing focuses on a
comprehensive view of the sales
funnel, making decisions based on
on the final stage -- revenue.
It’s about optimizing all aspects of
marketing to widen the funnel at
every stage to maximize growth.

28. Pipeline Marketing took three steps:
1. Connect sales and marketing data
2. Measure marketing’s performance
based on customers and revenue.
3. Expand every stage of the funnel
using bottom-of-the-funnel data.
32. Pipeline marketing helped us make
important distinctions.

33. Most importantly, we showed how much value we
generated.
We started using the same metrics our sales
team was using to measure our performance.
This inspired our organization to make a
