E-learning refers to learning facilitated and supported through the use of information and communications technology. It involves the use of digital technologies and media to deliver and support teaching, learning, assessment, and evaluation. Some key terms related to e-learning are blended learning, distance learning, and online learning. While information and learning technology (ILT) refers to the infrastructure that supports e-learning, e-learning itself focuses on using technology to directly enhance the learning process. For e-learning to be effective, it should support differentiation, motivate learners, increase achievement, develop thinking skills, provide learning opportunities, and inform students.
