2. Deconstructing websites has helped with my own work as i now have
inspirations to look back on throughout creating my web pages. When looking
back at deconstructions i can be reminded of what essential aspects i need
to include. This will ensure i can achieve a high grade for my website design.
I have looked at Urban outfitter, Vogue and Topshop which has shown me a
range of layouts and web designs that i could possibly use. By looking at
Fashion Websites i can clearly see what connotations are needed and how
they present clothing items in a creative and unique way.
For my own website i will be making it unique to existing fashion company by
selling casual in shop clothes and also presenting anew bridal range on one
of my web pages. My site will be interactive to the audience by using a
timeline of images and various links.
I may possibly advertise other
companies like the vogue webpage
to get a wider audience and include
Blogs/video sections to my home
page like vogue and Urban outfitter.
3. For billboard deconstructions i looked at Armarni, forever 21 and Gucci which
are all popular fashion/beauty brands that differ in style, This giving me a range
of design ideas and inspiration for my own product.
As i have never designed a billboard before the deconstructions helped me learn
what key elements are needed and how companies make there billboards
appeal to audiences. This giving me ideas for Designs and colour schemes.
The three designs were very different however the Armarni billboard caught my
eye as it looked unique with the use of four images instead of one large
background image. This also means my Billboard would be more detailed and i
could range in different camera angles and facial expressionS If i decided to use
this layout idea. As for colour schemes i was able to see which colours existing
products used and how it fit in with the clothing/model on the billboard. From this
i decided it would be best to use colour scheme I'm already using for either my
magazine or website so they link the brand
together. Much like how Armarni uses dark
colour schemes in other products therefore
it was effective to use dark ambient lighting
on the billboard photographs and clothing
items.
4. In my magazine deconstructions i looked at vogue, cosmopolitan and GC.
These three magazines range greatly in layout, design and clothing items
that a target different audiences. I thought by looking at a rang of
magazines i could get more inspiration for my own magazine and it could
show me how different styles of magazines differ in layout, models and
colour schemes to suit there purpose and target the audience.
GC is a magazines targeting men even through my audience is women i
wanted to see how they presented there front cover compared to women
fashion magazines incase i wanted to make my own magazine unique to
existing female targeted magazines.
Looking at vogue and cosmopolitan gave me ideas
for subheads and how i could interact the audience
more by speaking directly at them and including
different deals and offers.
