This document contains several storyboard plans for different sections of a music magazine focused on R&B and hip hop genres. The plans include using close-up, mid-shot, and full-body shots of models to represent the magazine's style and genre on the masthead. Other storyboard plans consider props like headphones and poses of models to feature on the contents page and draw attention. The final plan proposes a double-page spread with a large close-up image of an artist as a conventional and effective way to showcase a main feature article.

2. MASTHEAD
In this storyboard plan I used a close-up shot as if I were to use this on my
front cover I think by using a large central image, this will captivate the
consumers attention making them want to purchase the magazine. My
genre Rnb & Hip Hop promotes individuality, not being afraid to be
elaborate. I want to incorporate this knowledge into my Masthead if i were
to use this plan. However I do not think this plan is conventional as
professional magazines are more inclined to use a mid-shot. I will have to
consider this when completing my front cover.

3. MASTHEAD
In this masthead plan I
chose to use a full body
shot I think this will be the
most effective as by
viewing mis-en-scene of
props and costume the
consumer will be able to
determine my music
magazine genre that is
(RnB & Hip Hop).Having a
full body shot allows me to
take advantage of this by
putting my model in
elaborate, gold and urban
attire. Being most effective
as these are all
conventions RnB and Hip
Hop magazines behold
costume especially. I will
have to consider the full
body shot as I want my
magazine to stand out to
consumers but I wouldn't
want the central image to
draw too much attention
away from the content:
cover lines, pull quotes
and sky lines that I plan to
incorporate in my
magazine.

In this story board plan;
headphones are the most
prominent. When
considering props I
decided that headphones
would be the most
relevant as they highlight
the magazines purpose;
music surveillance as
well as can be seen on
professional magazines.
Dr Dre beats
headphones are popular
in the music industry as
they are very flashy and
expensive. I could
possibly use them as
Rnb and Hip Hop fans
will immediately establish
that the genre is of Rnb
and Hip Hop as Dr Dre is
a Hip hop artist and
producer.
A mid shot is conventional in a professional
magazine, that is why I chose to consider using
one in my Rnb & Hip Hop magazine.

5. CONTENTS
In this storyboard plan I
chose to have the model
in the corner as it looks
both professional and
stylish, I can have the
list of contents
alongside the model. As
this full body shot is
intriguing to look at,
whilst the consumer can
view the contents. Again
costume will be
prominent if I choose to
use this plan as the full
body shots will be the
most effective as the
models urban/cool attire
will be highlighted, so
the consumer can
discover the genre of
Hip Hop through the use
of costume.

I
The above vibe contents page, inspired
me to create a storyboard plan like mine,
as by having my model lay down, it is a
very unique idea and sassy. Adding to the
fact that Rnb & Hip Hop magazines
promote both sex appeal and
individuality. I think this plan will be
effective if i were to carry it out. As it is
very daring & different, intriguing the
consumer immediately.

7. CONTENTS In this storyboard plan
I will have the model
facing in that direction
shown as I think it is
very interesting. As
well as having the
model point at the list
of contents gives it a
more personal feel,
this will be very
effective If carried out
properly. As the
consumer can feel as
if the artist on the
contents is looking at
the contents alongside
the consumer creating
a personal connection.

In this double page spread plan, this idea of having a large close up image of the artist is very
conventional and effective allowing consumers to rip out the page to have a poster of the artist,
keeping consumers wanting to continue to buy magazines to take advantage of the idea of Free
Posters. This is the only idea I wish to pursue as I think this double page will be very engaging and
professional .
