Costume


When deciding my costumes for my models I need to ensure that
they appeal to the audience and suit the genre of my magazine being
pop. I will do this by presenting my models in a way which makes
them look interested in fashion and have good fashion sense. I will
dress them in a very girly way to make them look like pop artists this
would include dressing them in things such as dresses and skirts.
They would also have accessories to make them more girly making
the audience more interested and appealed by the way they look.
This would allow the audience to be inspired by the way they look. I
would also ensure to dress them in a similar way to how the target
audience would like to dress as this would allow them to be inspired
by the artist. This would give my magazine an instant image of the
genre of my magazine allowing the audience to know quickly what
genre my magazine is. It would mean that the audience could easily
see what age category my magazine is aimed at meaning.
Furthermore I will give my models girly hairstyles both curly and
straight as this would make the magazine seem more girly and would
also show that the models are presented in a very girly way. In my
photo-shoot I will position my models in simple but interesting poses.
This is because my magazine is aimed at teenagers and therefore I
Props


The props is a big part of my photo-shoot and will allow me to get
more interesting shots. The props will add emphasis to the
magazine and will show it is a music magazine. Furthermore the
props will make people more interested and will ensure that I have
variety in my photos as well as making sure that the images don’t
become repetitive and boring. I have decided to use some props
within my photo-shoot. I will be using a camera which would look
effective as it will show the pop genre of my magazine. Furthermore
this prop has been used in many pop magazines which shows that
it is an effective prop that would appeal to the audience. I may
decide to feature the camera on the front cover image of my
magazine, which would either be a close up or mid shot image. I
will also use balloons as one of my props. This is because my
magazine is aimed at teenagers it would show the teenager side of
the magazine. It would also allow me to get some interesting
camera shots that would appeal to the audience. Furthermore it
would give a more fun side to the magazine and would make the
audience realise that it is a very fun girly magazine. I may also
decide to use other little props within my photo-shoot however the
