The student made a model of the stomach and learned about its functions and the chemicals involved in digestion. Food enters the mouth and travels through the esophagus into the stomach, where chemicals break it down. The broken-down food then moves to the small intestine for further breakdown. The student also researched common stomach diseases, including GERD and dyspepsia, their symptoms, and treatment and prevention methods.
Almost everyone has heartburn sometimes. Heartburn is a painful burning feeling in your chest or throat. It happens when stomach acid backs up into your esophagus, the tube that carries food from your mouth to your stomach. If you have heartburn more than twice a week, you may have gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). With GERD, the muscles at the end of your esophagus do not close tightly enough. This allows contents of the stomach to back up, or reflux, into the esophagus and irritate it.
Hydrochloric acid is the main component of gastric juices produced by the stomach. It acidifies stomach food content and helps in proper digestion of foods.

Think different visualization tools for testers StarEast 2013 pascaldufourPascal Dufour
Traditional processes have required testers to create a large amount of documentation in the form of test plans, test cases, and test reports. It’s time to think differently. Creating test artifacts in the “old school” textual style takes too much time away from actual testing. Besides, text is boring and uses only the left side of your brain. Visual images—charts, graphs, and diagrams—engage your right brain for more thinking power. The old saying “A picture is worth a thousand words” is really true! Pascal Dufour shows how you can employ visualizations—mind maps, drawings, dashboards, charts, and other graphics—to improve clarity and guide your team to create lightweight testware artifacts. Find out how visualization helps you more easily and more quickly understand information—enabling and improving team decision making, collaboration, and agility.

Gastroparesis is a condition in which a human stomach cannot empty itself of food in a normal manner. Gastroparesis disorder is also known as delayed gastric emptying.
Acid Reflux -Cause Remedy Cure https://bit.ly/3H92t5i Every day, the digestive system is always being used due to regular food and liquid intake. When food and drinks are induced, it goes through a passage called the esophagus that helps breakdown the food. When food reaches its destination or the stomach, acid and pepsin is released to help aid in the process of digestion.
If and ever a problem in the digestive system occur, many people often neglect these possible problem by using home remedial treatment to aid with digestive problems. However, a common digestive disease that most people have neglected and encountered is the acid reflux or heartburn. This digestive disease or disorder occurs when the esophagus is irritated by the acid regurgitating to the stomach while acid is being seeped back through the esophagus and throat.
There are different kinds of digestive disease but the most common of all is acid reflux or gastro- esophageal reflux disease known also as heartburn. There are symptoms to indicate if you have acid reflux. These symptoms will likely help an individual indicate whether they have acid reflux. T
he most common symptoms that acid reflux is associated with is the searing sensation in the digestive tract, usually the chest or throat, that individuals will encounter. Even symptoms of hoarseness, acid in the mouth, sour or bitter taste, wheezing and coughing are also symptoms of acid reflux.
Acidity is said to have occurred when a person suffers from heartburn, and also when formation of gas takes place in the stomach. It is a common problem which many suffer from, and occurs mainly due to excess secretion of hydrochloric acid in the stomach. To know more about Acidity visit here: www.lazoi.com

Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.
The Indian economy is classified into different sectors to simplify the analysis and understanding of economic activities. For Class 10, it's essential to grasp the sectors of the Indian economy, understand their characteristics, and recognize their importance. This guide will provide detailed notes on the Sectors of the Indian Economy Class 10, using specific long-tail keywords to enhance comprehension.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

This is a presentation by Dada Robert in a Your Skill Boost masterclass organised by the Excellence Foundation for South Sudan (EFSS) on Saturday, the 25th and Sunday, the 26th of May 2024.
He discussed the concept of quality improvement, emphasizing its applicability to various aspects of life, including personal, project, and program improvements. He defined quality as doing the right thing at the right time in the right way to achieve the best possible results and discussed the concept of the "gap" between what we know and what we do, and how this gap represents the areas we need to improve. He explained the scientific approach to quality improvement, which involves systematic performance analysis, testing and learning, and implementing change ideas. He also highlighted the importance of client focus and a team approach to quality improvement.

What i learned
1. Alex Lee
Science A/B
What I Learned
The Stomach
I made a model of the stomach and through the process of making this model, I learned many things. One thing I learned was how the stomach functions and all the chemicals that are involved in the digestion of food. I learned that smelling food gets your digestive system running. The food first enters the mouth, through the esophagus, through the lower esophageal sphincter and into the stomach. There, the digestion would begin as all kinds of chemicals would be released which would then start breaking down the food. After breaking down, the food would travel through the duodenum (which is part of the small intestine) where more chemicals would be released to break down fats and other nutrients.
When researching about the stomach, I also came around a few diseases that involve the stomach. One of them was GERD. GERD stands for gastroesophageal reflux disease which is considered the most painful type of heartburn there is. GERD causes the lower esophageal sphincter to weaken; this allows the stomach acids to flow back up into the esophagus where the extreme burning feeling will reside. Rare cases of GERD can cause regurgitation, nausea, sore throat, and more. To treat GERD, you must control what you eat. Fresh fruits that are highly acidic and soups can help treat GERD. Low-fat milk and low-fat sweets also help.
Another type of disease is dyspepsia. This disease is the most common out of stomach diseases and around 60% of the world’s population is affected by this disease. Symptoms are regurgitation, bloating, nausea, and vomiting. There are several ways of preventing dyspepsia such as stress control, certain foods, and controlling your weight. To treat dyspepsia, you must see your doctor and take medication; you can also control your diet.
These are only two diseases out of many the stomach can have and I hope this helped you to understand more about the stomach and its functions.
