Before I began the MCBS
program I spent a lot of
time trying to figure out
what was important to me
and what I wanted to do
with my life.

Until I was about 19 years old I
thought that I wanted to be a
nurse.

Besides one job working at Payless, the only job I have had since graduating high school was working
as a Certified Nursing Assistant.

. I enjoyed working with people and I wanted to have a steady job so nursing seemed like an easy fit.

About a year into working
as a CNA I realized that
even though there were
parts of my job I really
loved, it wasn’t the path I
saw myself on for the rest
of my life

So over the course of the next 4
½ years I spent time jumping
majors and trying to give myself
a direction.

So over the course of the next 4 ½ years I spent time jumping majors and
trying to give myself a direction. My majors were anything from Fashion
Design to Esthetics and even to Pre-Pharmacy.

During this major hoping I
took a television production
class that I really enjoyed
and eventually I solidified
my passion for the
entertainment and media
industries.

I also got married, my husband joined the Army
and I had a baby during this time.

When I was still pregnant I
came across Full Sail
University while I was looking
for Game Art schools for my
husband but I actually found a
connection with it.

So I had my daughter, our family got stationed in North Carolina and
I decided to take get serious and go to Full Sail.

Story
Initially I thought the way I wanted to
pursue my love of the entertainment and
media industries through the Digital
Cinematography degree program but
during the Overview of Visual Arts class I
finally felt something click during the
publicity week.

14. My MCBS StoryHowever, I didn’t want to jump the gun and change majors too quick like I always do
so I took the Introduction to Digital Cinematography class to make sure I really
wanted to change.

Even though there were some things I found interesting in that class, I still found myself
thinking about the different trans-media and cross media storytelling from the OVA class.
