Wednesdays ASSURE
A- Twenty first graders, which includes, 10 Caucasian, 5 African Americans,
and 5 Asians with no learning specialties.
S- All of my first grade students will practice counting money up to the dollar
amount and will learn to mix coins in order to count up to a dollar value by
watching a videos and playing games, both in class and at home with 100
percent accuracy by the end of Wednesday.
S- Students will be shown a video on YouTube where they will see
demonstrations on counting and mixed coin counting. They will also practice
counting.
U- After seeing the YouTube video students will be given coins and will
practice counting. I will also post links to the class Facebook page for parents to
encourage their kids to play the games to continuously practice counting
money.
R- Students will be asked to collaborate with their coins and make up different
amounts with different coins. They will also complete in school and at home the
games provided on the classes Facebook page.
E- To ensure that students are grasping the concept, they will be asked to count
different amounts with mixed coins. I will evaluate students based on them
demonstrating counting the mixed coins.
