Day 1:
A- Analyze Learners
I will be teaching 3’s multiplication to a third grade class. There
are ten boys and seven girls. 80% white and 20% African
American.
S- State objective
My third grade class will be able to say their 3’s by the end of the
day. They will learn a song to help them memorize it. They will be
able to do these with 100% accuracy by the end of the day.
S- Select Methods, Media, and Material
Based on the different skill levels of the students, they will learn a
song the first day I present the assignment. I will teach the song
by breaking it up into parts. There will also be a WebQuest page
where they will have time to play the game and do the lesson for
that day. They will also play a game with flashcards to help them
learn it.
U- Utilize Media and Materials
The students will receive a pack of flash cards at their table. They
will all take turns holding the cards. After they do so, each table
will go to a different station. Group 1 will go to the computers
where they will play games. Group 2 will go to building blocks
where there will be particular numbers set out and they will have
to use those and put out what the answer is. Group 3 will go to the
station where they will be learning a song to help them remember
their 3s. After they are at their station for 15 minutes or so, they
will switch.
R- Require Learners Participation
The students will be working on these stations during class. We
will go over the song as a class once everyone has learned it. We
will also play with the flashcards and whoever gets the most
flashcards will be rewarded with a prize out of the treasure box.
The students will also be given a particular problem. They will
have to go up in front of the class and whoever gets it first will get
the equation.
E- Evaluate and Revise
We will go over the song after we play our games as a class. The
students will all sing along and we will say all the threes at the
end without singing. They will be graded on how well they played
the games online. There will also be a FaceBook page made for the
class for the parents. Any question they feel their child does not
understand, they will be able to ask on their.
