The teacher will be teaching multiplication of 5s to a third grade class consisting of 10 boys and 7 girls, who are mostly white with some African American students. The objective is for students to learn their 5s multiplication tables through a song and by creating posters. Students will work in groups playing math games and quizzing each other to reinforce the learning. Their participation and performance on the games and creativity of posters will be evaluated.

1. Day 3:
A- Analyze Learners
I will be teaching 3’s multiplication to a third grade class. There
are ten boys and seven girls. 80% white and 20% African
American.
S- State Objective
My third grade students will be able to say their 5s by the end of
the day. They will learn a song to help them memorize their 5s. They
will also be using art with this assignment. They will be able to do this
with 100% accuracy.
S- Select Methods, Media, and Material
Based on the different skill levels of the students, they will learn a
song before we start anything else. I will teach the song by breaking it
up into parts. They will also be given a poster where they can color
different objects or animals. They will be given time to play the different
math games that will involve 5s. After making the poster, they will be
put into groups where they will quiz one another on what they learned.
U- Utilize Media and Material
The students will receive a game board. On the game board, they
will be quizzing one another on there 5s. If they get the question right,
they get to move ahead on the board and whoever gets to the end first,
they will get to get something out of the treasure box. They will get to
play math games on the computer while another group is playing the
game. There will also be puzzle pieces they have to connect the problem
with the answer.
R- Require Learners Participation
The students will be working in the two stations during class. We
will also go over the song. After we go over the song, we will say the
multiplications of 5. They will also be interacting with their classmates
during the game while I am walking around the class seeing how they
are doing.
E- Evaluate and Revise
2. They will be graded on how well they are participating in the
different activities. They will be graded on how well they played the
games on the computer and how creative their poster is. We will also go
over the song and the songs for 3s and 4s to make sure they didn’t
forget them.
