Tips  Use technology when it fits – not just for the sake of using technology.  You do NOT have to be the expert – give students time to play and they will amaze you.  Give students choices in how they present their learning. This allows them to work to their strengths. (McTighe & O’Connor, 2005; Tomlinson & McTighe, 2006; Nunley, 2006)

  • 6. Ideas  Vocabulary, literary concepts  Describing people, places, important ideas, etc.  Finding overused words in compositions  Activity for guessing excerpts from books, quotes and essay

Pros  Students can make videos from home or school without being knowledgeable in video editing.  Promotes creativity and individuality.  Can download and add to glogster and other media.  Has comment and rating features so it can be used as a collaboration or discussion tool. Cons  Text is limited to 2 lines.  Images must be downloaded to computer first and then uploaded.  Takes about an hour to save and view the final project.
