Zinn Chapter 2 Summary
Will Anderson Zinn reading Did the end of the war and emancipation change the situation of African
Americans? How so? And if not, why not? Is a free man really free if he relies on another man to live?
The slaves where finally announced free. The magical word that they never thought to hear but they
always dreamed about. The slaves Jumped for joy thinking at that moment they can do anything they
can finally live there lives and be like other men. Most slaves went to go and join the army they
wanted to represent the man who let them free who saved them from there bounds. They went to help
Lincoln win the war and get the union back together. They where the reason that Lincoln did win the
war with all the man power that they had and that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The slaves have been free and some go to try and work in the government with they do with __ in the
senate. Others try to get the land that there masters owned. Saying they farmed the land so they
deserve the land. The slaves children where able to go to school. Are the slaves really free though? If
they have to rely on the white man to be able to survive is this freedom. To me it is slavery with a
different title and no more punishment. As Zinn says in his book the slave understood the fact that
they may be called free but they really weren t. Like Zinn put it Many Negroes understood that their
status after the war, whatever their situation legally, would depend on whether they owned the land
they worked on or would be forced to be semis laves for others (ch9,196) They knew what could
happen to them but they took the leap of faith anyway. One of the slaves said Lincoln got the the
praise for freeing us, but did he do it? He gave us freedom without giving us any chance to live to
ourselves and we still had to depend on the southern white manor work, food, and clothing , and he
held us out of necessity and want in a state of servitude but little better then slavery. (ch9,197 198)
The slaves begged Lincoln to give them land to let them survive on there own. Lincoln responded by
sending them away from the world to California. There they at least didn t have to worry about the

Cocaine Abuse
Cocaine abuse has been a persistent health problem worldwide for many years (Platt, 2002). Adults
aged 18 to 25 year have a higher rate of current cocaine use than any other age group, with 1.5 percent
of young adults reporting past month cocaine use (The Science of Drug Abuse Addiction , 2013).
Every drug has a history as to how it came about, also, as to why it is used and or abused among
adults. Each drug has its own chemical make up, along with how that drug works in the human body.
Treatment of cocaine addiction must be comprehensive, and strategies need to assess the
neurobiological, social, and medical aspects of the patient s drug abuse (The Science of Drug Abuse

The Last Example Of Situational Ethics (TWD)
Imagine there is an out of control train careening toward a fork in the tracks. Stranded on the left route
are ten strangers. Stranded on the right route is a good friend. You are standing by the lever deciding
which route the train will take. Who do you choose to save? This is an example of how a situation
might change the way a person reacts. If all the people in danger of being hit by the train were
strangers, it is likely the person by the lever would choose to save the larger group on the left.
However, the fact that a good friend is in danger might persuade this person to choose to save the one
person on the right, over the larger group. This is an example where a situation changes a choice a
person might make. Situational Ethics is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This situation will force them to have to make a choice that would never be made in a normal
situation. Consider these normal life experiences as simple examples; running a red light might be
unethical unless you were experiencing an emergency and rushing someone to the hospital, breaking a
window would not be something a person normally does to their home, but would be considered fine
if the home was on fire. Ethical behavior is the way people want to behave, and the way they are
expected to behave. Fletcher s situational ethics theory explains that difficult situations sometimes
affect the behavior and ultimately the outcome when trying to make an ethical decision. When
situations are about surviving, ethical behavior is pushed aside and survival of the fittest becomes the
new standard. This means a decision to be made from two bad choices can have no other outcome
than an unethical one, which could be argued is situationally

Summary Of The Short Existence Of Francis Macomber
Ernest Hemingway has made a magnum opus of various mystery in his story The Short Existence of
Francis Macomber . The riddle does not reveal itself to the pursuer until the very closure of the story,
yet it leaves a lot of creative energy. Around the finish of this story Margaret Macomber butchers her
significant other unexpectedly, she tries to spare him from being battered by extensive Bison while
they were on a safari in Africa. The mystery is paying little respect to whether the killing was
inadvertent, or purposeful. It was purposeful, they would have many proof in the story to give you a
reasonable intention too.
What makes this riddle uncommon is that Hemingway gives the pursuer different events that would
lead the pursuer to devise a commendable rationale, yet human impulse tells the pursuer that this
executing couldn t have been deliberate. From a just target investigation of the story, the pursuer
would see altogether additionally supporting the theory of a deliberate executing rather than a
coincidental one. The snippets of data supporting Margaret executed Francis intentionally can best be
seen when watching and focus the foundation information on both Francis Macomber, and Margaret
herself. (Hemingway 1402). What is in like manner key is that Margot and Francis have altogether
different personalities. This is doubtlessly watched when the storyteller states, (Hemingway 1402).
With this little measure of foundation data, the intention in a deliberate

Children With Down Syndrome
Also known as trisomy twenty one is a genetic disorder caused by the presence of all or part of a third
copy of chromosome twenty one. It is associated with physical growth delays, characteristic, facial
features, and intellectual disability. Down syndrome is one of the most common chromosomes and
abnormalities in humans. Those with Down syndrome nearly always have physical and intellectual
disabilities. As adults their mental abilities are typically similar to an eight or nine year old. They
typically have poor immune function and generally reach developmental milestones at a later age.
They have an increased risk of a number of other health problems, like congenital heart disease,
epilepsy, Leukemia, thyroid disease and mental disorder. People ... Show more content on

The recovery process is life long and although there are some full functioning Down syndrome
patients there are others who require daily care and observation. Individuals with Down syndrome can
be identified by their features. Down syndrome has typical physical and mental characteristics, but
only seldom all of them or even most of them are found in one single person. If we study the character
of children with the syndrome, we will find they have a pleasant and convenient temperament and a
special character. They are friendly, sensitive and have a sharp and developed emotional intelligence.
These traits assist them in fitting in as a pat of society and the community rather successfully. The
discernible differences concerning the medical condition and the developmental level between Down
syndrome children are caused, among other things, by the different medical treatments and the support
of each child s environment. Support medical, educational, environmental can bring many
improvements in the children s function, allowing them to extract their maximum potential and

My Girl is a coming of age movie with an 11 ½ year old girl named Veda, as the main character. Veda
s story is an incredible story of first love and loss in life. As life begins to evolve, she begins changes
at all levels of existence: physical, emotional, intellectual, spiritual, and social. Veda gets her period
for the first time, ever. This trigger both the physical and emotional changes of becoming a young
woman. Since her mother is dead, she needs to lean on her father. This time is an extremely awkward
with any young woman, but it is compounded by her mother s absence. Her dad does not assist her
with the physical changes of Veda getting her period. She needs to get e bra for her developing boobs,

with loss is either by crying, solitude, or going with Thomas J. Throughout the movie, when Veda is

Ince Thomas J. passed away,Veda visited a tree to think about life by herself. I really liked this movie
a lot until Thomas J. died. It seems a bit messed up to have a young child die in a movie. I understand
that the director might be trying to send a message about how fragile life is, but I think it was a little
too much trauma for a coming of age movie. The movie made me cry because of personal reasons, as
well. My mother s mom died when she was 13 years old and gave me a glimpse into what her life was

Airbags Flaws
Have you ever wondered why we need airbags? Cars have been around for multiple years now and
have had many flaws. Many tests have been done to prevent these flaws. People are debating on if
airbags are one of those flaws. People may believe that they don t stop people from getting hurt. This
is incorrect because of Newton s first law. To start, Newton s first law is about motion and inertia.
According to our textbook, when a car crashes, the momentum will be 0. The shorter the time, the
greater the force will be. With airbags, the momentum is slowed down in a shorter amount of time,
which leads to a smaller force (Video). The video showed us that when you throw an egg at a wall, it
will break instantly, but if you threw an egg at a curtain,

How A Person s Memory Works Memory
Alexis Marie Robinson Mrs Reilly English III Honors Period 6 09 Of March 2015 How A Person s
Memory Works Memory is a concept that refers to the process of remembering. Recalling memories
uses the same neurological paths humans use originally to sense the experience which in result, almost
recreates the event. Researchers believe memory is a brain wide process, meaning that memory is not
restricted to one area of the brain. Scent is one of the strongest senses tied to memory. Humans receive
information through the five senses: 1sight, smell, taste, touch, and sound. Someone can imagine how
different a memory would be for a person if one of they did not have one of their senses sight, sound,
smell whatever the sense was that ties them closely to the memory the most. Memories are just
different ways people store and remember various things they have sensed throughout life.
2It should be known that a single memory is a complex construction. For example, when people think
of a simple object the brain retrieves the objects name, its shape, function, and anything else that
closely ties itself to that object. 2Each part of this memory is from a different region of the brain.
3(Mohs and Turkington) As stated by April Holladay, memories of concepts and ideas are related to
sense experiences because we extract the essence from sensed experiences to form generalized
concepts. And in the past, many experts explained memory as a filing cabinet full of memory folders

Relationship Between Religion And Politics
In this course, I found the connection between religion and politics the most important concept we ve
studied. With engagement and understanding of politics becoming increasingly important, it s valuable
to study the ways people both interact with politics and form their political opinions and as we ve
seen, religion can play a huge role in both of these aspects. However, the way religious groups engage
with politics can perhaps be generalizing when discussing major religions, seeing as these groups are
often widely diverse and brimming with unique experiences. Therefore, I believe it is just as important
to discuss the political dimension of religion with the social influences of ethnicity, gender, sexuality,
and the interrelations between them. Although the connections between religion and politics may be
controversial to some, it really isn t surprising that they overlap. For many people, religion and politics
are significant parts of their ideology and morals; they both shape ethical decisions and certainly
influence how we view society and the interactions within it. Politics and religion, along with
ethnicity, gender and sexual orientation, are important identities that shape how others see us, and how
we see ourselves. Thus, it makes sense that religious beliefs may influence a person s politics or vice
versa. While I believe a mix of these identities, and thus personal experiences, has the greatest impact
on politics, religion clearly is a significant influence

Descriptive Essay On Candy
Being a young boy, I wasn t the brightest light bulb in the ceiling. I was the kind of kid that could get
good grades, but when told to put an ice bag in the freezer, I accidently put it in the fridge. A person
that would go to a parade, and take the good pieces of candy that they threw. It was not one of the
smartest things I ve done in my life. At this parade, I would steal candy, go to the nearby park, and
play tennis. At the parade, things were starting off very slow. It was very boring for me as a kid, so I
had to try to entertain myself. One of the first things I tried doing at this parade was try to spider climb
up the wall of a building. The roughness of the bricks I would try to grab would cut my small, fragile
fingers and then the blood would start pouring out. I knew that if I was in the ocean, a shark would
smell it from miles away and gobble me up as if I was a turtle. The boredom was eating me to death,
but then I noticed that they were throwing candy at the crowd. I ran up to get some, so excited to put
the delicious pieces of sugar into my mouth. After getting an absurd amount of candy, I saw my
favorite type; a Hershey s chocolate bar. As I was running to get it, I saw a little kid was about to grab
the delicious tantalizing chocolate bar(probably about 6 or 7 years old), I snatched it from his mitts. I
then realised my step dad, Brian, watched me do that, scolded me then told me to go back over there
and give it to the 6 year old. After that incident I

Disadvantages Of Masticating Juicers
Masticating juicers are good for juicing vegetables because their masticating action is efficient at
breaking down the vegetable cell walls which tend to be tougher than their fruit counterparts.
Masticating juicers are very capable at juicing most fruits and vegetables, and they will also extract
juice from wheatgrass, spinach, and other leafy greens and herbs.
Juicer
Juicers help you to get a sufficient intake of nutrients and vitamins from both fruits and vegetables
because they are concentrated in the juice produced. Juicers are a useful tool that can help you lose
weight and become healthier on a day to day basis, because they allow you to make smoothies and

Masticating juicer doesn t use blades and doesn t need high speed to extract juice from the fruits and
vegetables. Masticating juicers are also more versatile than centrifugal juicers because, in addition to
extracting juices, these juicers also homogenize foods to make baby foods, pates, sauces, nut butters,
banana ice creams and fruit sorbets. Masticating juicers are better at preserving nutrients as they turn
slowly and squash the juice out of your fresh produce, this is what we recommend as it s better for
you, but bear in mind the juice will be live ie somewhat bitty, so your kids may not dig it. Masticating
juicers work at lower speeds and are therefore more adept at juicing a wider range of fruit and
vegetables than centrifugal juicers. Masticating juicers work well for all fruits and vegetables,
including wheatgrass and leafy greens. Masticating juicers are less common, tend to be more
expensive, better made and last a lot longer.
Vegetables
Vegetables on the other hand have fibrous, tough cell walls, requiring more aggressive mechanical
juicing action than fruit. Masticating juicers are good for juicing vegetables because their masticating
action is efficient at breaking down the vegetable cell walls which tend to be tougher than their fruit
counterparts.

Mayan Culture
The Mayan culture utilizes traditional and holistic medical practices well outside the scope of modern
technological and medical advances. Their heavy use of plant life as a medicinal cure for a variety of
ailments allows modern medical practitioners to experiment with their incorporation into mainstream
medical cures. Hernân Garcia, Antonio Sierra, and Gilberto Balam (1999) discuss the Mayan view of
the physical body in relation to their spiritual roles in the universe, as well as Mayan medicinal
traditions and predictions in their book Wind in the Blood. In a more detailed look at the specific plant

In order to cleanse the body, the Mayans place a heavy value on dualities comparatively like hot and
cold, the pixàn and ool forces, and the right and left side of the body. The balance of hot and cold as it
relates to body temperature and illnesses is highly regulated in Mayan medical traditions. Since the
disturbance of this equilibrium is considered the most common cause of illness, Mayans have
developed a system of recognizing ailments as cold or hot. If a condition is considered hot , i.e.
pregnancy or drunkenness, treatment will avoid cold medicines and foods because the mixture of
temperatures will cause further illness (Garcia et al., 1999). The Mayan conception of this symmetry
narrows their focus on medicine as hot or cold rather than based on a medicine s chemical components

Commodification Of College Sports Essay
Colleges in the United States previously focused solely on education, while emphasizing their
character and minds. They focused on the student as an athlete making that their main focus and
concern. Together, the idea of athletics and academics complemented each other. While the focus
remained on the student, the individual was able to learn valuable skills that would assist them in the
real world. Since then, the focus of college education has changed to concentrating on the idea of
entertainment. A well rounded student athlete is no longer expected since they are sacrificed for the
sake of the audience s enjoyment. Today, athletic programs exist as entities, pretending to act in the
best interest of the institution. Carson and Rinehart argue that the disappearance of the college student
athlete has occurred for numerous reasons. Primarily, colleges began to encompass the idea of
athletics and their benefits directly towards the institution. This means that the focus is now aimed
towards the financial enterprise of athletics directly through ticket sales, broadcasting, merchandising
and much more. College ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The Dynamic Gastric Model ( Dgm )
The dynamic gastric model (DGM) was invented and designed by Dr. Martin Wickham and Dr.
Richard Faulks from the United Kingdom. Even though the model is only half the size of the human
digestive system, it can be used to investigate the effects of diet, drugs, alcohol and other factors on
digestion. The figure is made of plastic and metal and is composed in two parts. The upper section is a
funnel and a cylinder shaped container where food, enzyme, and gastric acid are mixed. After the
hydration reaction, the mixture is transported down a metal tube to get crushed and is later stored in a
transparent container to test the level of fat, protein or bacteria. Based on the various functions of the
model, technology replaces human body and is ethically friendlier. Hence DGM well illustrates the
digestive system, which brings a great contribution to development in science.
The major limitation that differs dynamic gastric model from real organism is the inability to process
active transportation. Without transport channel, molecules could not flow against the gradient.
Consequently, the model fails to mimic the property of parietal cells, which the hydrochloric acid is
secreted by active transport into the stomach of hydrogen ion against a concentration gradient of about
1 million to 1. Thus, the limitation of the model does show the detail and uniqueness of a living
organism.
On the other hand, dynamic gastric model mimics real organism from dialysis tubing, uneven mixing,

Cache Valley Settlement
Throughout Cache Valley s early history one learns about the exploration and settlement of Cache
Valley and understands the developing and settling of Cache Valley s towns. While studying the
history of Cache Valley, many accounts report the settling of different towns such as Wellsville,
Logan, and Richmond. These early pioneer towns in Cache Valley, while each crucial to the growth
and development of the valley, grew not only for similar purposes but each had a different
contribution to Cache Valley s growth and development. The town of Franklin, however, next to the
Utah Idaho border in Cache Valley, aided in the settlement of both Cache Valley and the territory of
Idaho. Throughout the early settlement and founding of Franklin, Idaho this ... Show more content on

These early years of Franklin were a model of how Mormon and Cache Valley settlements developed
both in the ways in which land became divided, and how city lots measured out to (approximately 1 ¼
acres) accommodate a garden, barn, and outbuildings. While recollecting the simple life of Franklin s
early years, Joshua Hawkes said that the prospect appeared good...our house was but a log one and not
that very stylish. I put in a small crop of wheat and had some volunteers which made us an ample
amount for the season. In the center of the fort stood a bowery where formal worship services and
council meetings took place as well as a community well, and corral to conceal cattle from night time
Indian raids and attacks from wild animals. Besides these, every man also had a cane lot east of town,
on which he raised sugar cane, along with hay lands lying south and west of town, near the cemetery.
Broom corn was also later grown east of town, in which the corn and stalks were turned into
homemade brooms. Early settlers such as Everett C. Van Orden, became attracted to pasture lands
west of Franklin. Later with the Homestead Law being placed in Lewiston, and in 1869 a land office
being established in Salt Lake City it made it possible for others to occupy land legally with a five
year residence required for ownership. As a result of the Homestead Law and Franklin s available
land, families such as the Van Orden s claimed up to 160 acres of land in Lewiston,

Students Consciousness Towards Littering in Pacific...
STUDENT CONSCIOUSNESS TOWARDS LITTERING IN PAU CAMPUS
A paper
Presented in Partial Fulfillment of the Requirements for the subject

By
Jacinta Kaupa
Aim : The aim of this survey was to find out how conscious the students are towards littering.
Introduction
Pacific Adventist University is an institution where people from all over the Pacific, Papua New
Guinea and other parts of the world come to learn and get educated. Indeed it is the most beautiful
place in Papua New Guinea as most critics say. This is because of the landscape and the well
preserved lawn with the variety of birds and the lakes. However, it is not as beautiful as many people
think when speaking of littering. There are ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The behavior of the students consciousness towards littering in the campus is not really getting out of
hand. Not all students have the don t care attitude as the result is stating. Students falls into two
different categories. There are students who have the heart to keep their study environment clean and
there are those who do not. Those that practice littering have a fair idea that it is wrong. But yet they
tend do it without thinking. The next paragraph will describe further on such behavior of the students .
According to the result everybody is trying to say that they do not want littering. For the positive
statements they are responding positively and for the negative statement they are responding
negatively. Students may not want to discard rubbishes like piece of paper or an empty packet of
something anywhere, but apparently they do. This may happen due to laziness, maybe because
ofdistance between them and the rubbish bin. They do not want to walk because it might take some of
their time (time factor). This clearly shows that students have attitude problem even though they are
educated. Knowing that littering is wrong and yet doing it can explain that there is an attitude
problem. Cialdini and others (1981:255) strongly agree that littering is a measure of attitude . Littering
especially occurs when someone (who cares) is not watchingor witnessing

Medication Used As Anxiety Medication
Seizure Medication Used as Anxiety Medication Everyday someone is fighting a battle with an
anxiety disorder. Anxiety is considered a mental illness that causes distress, worry, and fear to an
individual. Some types of anxiety include the following: panic disorder, social anxiety disorder,
specific phobias, and a generalized anxiety disorder with unrealistic worry (WebMD, 2016). The cause
for anxiety is currently unknown, but environmental stress and changes in the brain can be linked
factors (WebMD, 2016). Anxiety disorders affect 40 million adults who are 18 and older, this is 18%
of the population in the United States (ADAA, 2014). General Anxiety Disorder alone affects 3.1% of

whenever she feels like she s going to have an anxiety attack and feels overwhelmed or stressed. She
was originally prescribed to take the medication orally once a day with a dosage of 1 mg. Upon
physician s approval the patient now only takes .5 mg of Clonazepam as needed, this should not be a
major concern to this patient. The only concern we would need to be worried about is if the patient
took Clonazepam more times than needed and then suddenly stopped taking the medication. This
would then lead to withdrawal symptoms which may potentially cause the patient to develop a
physical dependence (Everyday Health, 2016). Dosing Information for Clonazepam

Summary Of Fashion Design By Cristbal Balenciaga
Cristóbal Balenciaga was a fashion designer who always wanted to trial different styles. To lead him
the route in which he would then outline an altogether novel outfit and it is this origination that the
Victoria and Albert Museum have opted to concentrate on this orderly constructed exhibition.
The exhibition is closely structured around three sections: Front of House looks at Balenciaga s
salons, Workrooms uncovers what happens behind the scenes, and Balenciaga s Legacy examines the
impact he has had on other major fashion brands.
From start to finish, the show focuses on the most minor subtle elements that made Balenciaga s
fashion. The designer was never reluctant to be striking as far as style and praising procedure as
opposed to style. Cristóbal Balenciaga s work was so true to modernity and femininity. Innovative and
inviting, his work is always inspiring .
The show uncovers this was a creator who needed to guarantee that each component of his creations
was impeccable, required with each and every progression in making the ideal outfit. If there was the
smallest mistake, he would have torn a design apart and started again in order to keep in full control,
something that had influenced other designers who appreciated his work including Hubert de
Givenchy.

Les Miserable Scene Analysis
The scene that I have chosen to apply my learning in this term to, as well as specifically analyze, is the
2012 Universal and Working Title Films production of the movie musical Les Misérables, directed by
Tom Hooper. This musical focuses on the lives of several characters in France during the early 1800 s;
Jean Valjean is an ex convict who breaks parole to start a new life, Javert is the chief of police
dedicated to upholding the law, Fantine is a single mother who turns to prostitution as a way to
provide for her child Cosette, and more. The scene I am fixated on details Fantine in the wake of
losing her job and realizing she needs to make money to support her child. This scene is impactful and
striking because of its dealing with the topic of prostitution and unemployment, as well as being a
pivotal part of the film dramatically with live singing and superb acting. The scene is also a pristine
example of multiple film techniques such as close up camera shots, setting, lighting, actors, singing,
and sounds in general. To briefly summarize the scene, I will start with some basic background
information on the main character during this specific time in the film. Fantine is a single mother who
is working at a tailoring house with many other women, until she is thrown out onto the street. She is
thrown out because her fellow female tailors, and male boss (who was a bit more than friendly) found
out Fantine had a daughter and thought she could bring only trouble. Her daughter

The ability to authorize deployment of UN troops, mandate cease fires, and impose economic
penalties cannot be taken lightly which is why Australia is advocating for reforms to the current
membership and voting policies. Australia has served on the Security Council 5 times: 1946 7,1956
57,1985 86, and 2013 2014. During the most recent term, Australia played a key role in the UN
response to many world crises such as the Ebola outbreak, the crash of M17 over the Ukraine, Libya s
crisis, and the Syrian conflict. In 1998, Australia was a sponsor of the resolution supporting the
recruitment of a two thirds majority vote in the security council (A/RES/53/30) which highlights its
long term commitment to improving the fairness of voting in the security council. Australia also
supports reform that causes the Security Council to better reflect the modern age by ensuring
accessibility to smaller countries. Although, the permanent five were the among most influential
countries in the world back in 1945 when the council was created; the same cannot be said today.
Australia hopes that some of these countries will have their permanent membership revoked in order
to make room for present day powers such as Japan. Australia has also argued against the existence of
veto powers since the drafting of the UN charters. During the

The Innate Immune Systems And The Acquired Or Adaptive...
The immune system can broadly be divided into two categories: the innate immune system and the
acquired or adaptive immune system. The innate system acts like the first line of defense, it works by
recognizing a broad range of pathogens on the basis of their patterns and certain molecules that are
different from those found in the organism e.g. the human innate immune system will recognize
peptidoglycans that are found in bacteria but not humans. The innate system consists of physical
barriers like the skin and mucosal membrane and other cells like natural killers and cytokines. It is
thought, as of now, that the innate immune system has no memory. The acquired or adaptive immune
system on the other hand is much more specific. (Warrington, Watson, Kim, Antonett, 2011) Rick M
Maizels et al state that the reason natural selection has favored so much variation in the immune
response is because in order to survive, the organism must illicit a strong response against a large
number of invading pathogens. Had this response not been a highly evolved one, our immune system
would not have been able to fend of many complex pathogens which can themselves evolve rapidly to
encounter the hosts immune system. (Maizels Nussey, 2013)
Initially, only the innate immune system existed, but as organisms evolved another set of immune cells
starting to develop. This can be seen from the immune system of jawless fish like lamprey. These
organisms don t essentially have an adaptive immune

Dbq What Drove The Sugar Trade
DBQ Essay What Drove the Sugar Trade?
Beginning in the late 1600s and continuing through the 1700s the demand for sugar became incredibly
high due to its addictive qualities. To supply the consumers with sugar they were craving, wealthy
Europeans established sugar plantations throughout the Caribbean and built a thriving slave industry,
so their need for cheap labor could be satisfied. Sugar consumption increased from 4.6lbs to 16.2lbs
per capita annually from 1700 to 1770 due to the increasing addiction of the consumers. Since the
demand was so high, the manufacturers were faced with maintaining a high crop yield, but luckily the
Caribbean islands provided an ideal location for growing cane sugar. Once plantations were

Due to the efforts to colonize the Caribbean islands, by 1750 they were almost all owned by Spain,
France, or England, meaning these countries now had access to and control over this area that they did
not previously; they took advantage of this newfound power (Doc 1). Sugar requires a specific climate
to grow plentifully (i.e. 68° 90°F) and this was something the Caribbean islands provided the
Europeans with; if European countries had not had taken control in the Caribbean islands the sugar
industry would not have survived (Doc 2). At this time, the Caribbean islands were the only location
that the Europeans had access to that provided the correct climate. The landscape was ideal and led to
a high crop yield and without it the consumers would be at a loss (Doc 8). Through the 1700s and into
the 1800s, in Barbados, Jamaica, Saint Domingue, and Cuba, sugar production rates escalated, but this
vast increase was made possible only by the natural conditions of the Caribbean islands (Doc 10).
Still, not only consumer addiction and access to a prime location were able to drive the sugar industry
alone, labor was

Analysis Of The Health Care Industry
The health care industry has the highest percentage of occupational hazards of any workforce industry
(SIC division structure, 2015). To control these numbers, several state and federal agencies were
established to regulate risks to health and personal safety. (OSHA) is one such agency was established
to cover all workforce industries, including health services and insurance. The regulatory authority of
OSHA is ranged to cover many types of occupational hazards and hazard communication. OSHA
procedures are intended to be carried out quickly and decisively in order to ensure and maintain the
safest possible working environment and to expose and halt any activities which cause risk.

In addition to the medical professionals healthcare facilities often employ a variety of employees in
trades that have associated risks. Trades such as housekeeping, food service, mechanical, building, and
grounds maintenance, and administration, each with their own unique set of risks (SIC division
structure, 2015).
A Brooklyn medical facility experienced OSHA firsthand as they were investigated in 2014 for failing
to adequately protect against workplace violence. During their investigation, OSHA found that
between the dates of February 7th and April 12, 2014, around 40 individual incidents of workplace
violence had occurred, the most serious of which resulted in brain injuries sustained by a nurse who
was attacked by a patient. All of the incidents involved staff members being verbally and physically
attacked by patients and visitors, or staff members being injured when breaking up fights between
patients. A witness for the investigation stated that the administration was aware of the violence and
threats, but did nothing to improve the effectiveness of its ineffective workplace violence program or
to increase security for employees. The medical center was found to have committed willful violation
of OSHA workplace safety regulation and fined $78,000. The medical facility was given fifteen days

Essay about The Defender of the Faith
The Defender of the Faith
In Philip Roth s, Defender of the Faith , Sergeant Nathan Marx is the Defender of whom the title
speaks. Reluctant at first, Marx defended his faith on two fronts, one across the sea in Europe and the
second in the United States. The battle in the states was of a different type. Marx learned what it was
like to defend his and the faith of his fellow Jews against prejudice and abuse by those who waged the
war. Marx is not an orthodox Jew. He does not follow the doctrine as most of those in his religion
would and did not realize until asked by Grossbart that he was still religious. Though Grossbart
showed him he was not like others, Grossbart was not the central antagonism, The war was.

Marx was concerned that Grossbart was right and that those who wanted to attend the service should
have the chance to attend.
Marx confronted Captain Barrett on the matter, who only confirmed Grossbart s case by showing he
was prejudice. Captain Barrett told Marx he d fight side by side with a nigger if the fella proved to me
he was a man. (p.119) Marx was not pleased with the captain s outlook, and even less pleased when
the captain told him he should leave that stuff to the Chaplain. (p.119) Marx took it upon himself that
the soldiers who wanted to attend church should be allowed and ordered his C.Q. to announce Jewish
personnel who want to attend services this evening are to fall out in front of the orderly room, (p.120)
and then added By order of Captain Barrett. Marx had won that battle.
Marx, after a few exploits of Grossbart, such as getting a weekend pass to attend a religious dinner a
month late and then not attending that dinner, understood that he was being played the fool. Grossbart
did not want special privileges for his fellow Jewish soldiers, yet only wanted a free ride in the army.
This came to Marx when Grossbart asked if Marx could do something about Grossbart s being
shipped off to war in the pacific. Grossbart was

The Trouble With Art Analysis
In the contemplation of art, or rather the conceptually intangible definition it currently possess, it is
imperative to be mindful that art has been utilized as a promotional device, ceremonial item,
aesthetically purposed article or perhaps none of these or all. It is because of this vague term that
Carolyn Dean, in her text, The Trouble with (The Term) Art , makes a case for the consequences of
applying the term art in societies that lacked such a notion which also accounts for the Western centric
lens the field intrinsically utilizes when viewing non Western art. The claim is deftly supported by the
utilization of expert accounts in the subject, alternative perspectives for what is considered the current
norm, and self examining questions, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

because the Western thought just became open to accommodate such works in their idea of art. From
this stance, art is arbitrary and suits the whims of Western art historians. The object is still the same,
but now the Western world deems it to be of value, which exemplifies Dean s argument that we are
looking at pieces through our eyes and not the way it was meant to be seen. Just the idea of labeling an
item of art may have interior motive If this piece is capable of preservation, can my name be

Latino Voters And Hispanic Voters
There were 3,427 voters from the 62% in the city of Los Angeles that were selected for the survey in
June 5, 2001(Abrajano, Nagler, Alverez, 2005). The result showed that there were racial preference in
the voting patterns for the mayoral race, where 82% of Latino voters supported the Latino candidate
Villaraigosa, 79% of black voters supported the white candidate Hahn and 58% of whites voted for
Hahn (Abrajano, Nagler, Alverez, 2005). Delgadillo won the city attorney race receiving the majority
support from the Latino voters and black voters (Abrajano, Nagler, Alverez, 2005). White voters who
crossed over to vote for a Latino candidate voted based on the issue and position that the candidate
was running on, but for Latino voters who voted for the white candidate, the context of the race
mattered less (Abrajano, Nagler, Alverez, 2005). In the spatial model, voter s ideology had a positive
significance in both races (Abrajano, Nagler, Alverez, 2005). The more liberal the voters in the mayor
race were, increased the chances that they would vote for the Latino candidate while in the city
attorney race the more conservative the voter were the more likely they would vote for the Latino
candidate (Abrajano, Nagler, Alverez, 2005). Matsubayashi and Ueda (2010) analyzed whether white
voters used candidate race as a voting cues in an election between a white and Black candidate. The

Story Of Bottled Water
What is your opinion on the topic after reading/viewing the selection? Do you agree or disagree with
the author? Why or why not?
I watched The Story of Bottled Water . This video s main goal is to persuade you not to buy bottled
water. The producers of the video gave examples showing a bad light on bottled water. One example
highlighted how water bottles were sitting in landfills in India and polluting the world. I agree with the
fact about how it is bad that the bottles are causing pollution. At another point in the video they said
that being seen drinking out of a bottle of water was getting to the same level as being seen smoking
while pregnant. I disagree with that statement. I think that is very extreme and just not true. My
opinion on this topic after watching the video is that the problem is not the bottles of water and their
companies, it is the factories in India that are not actually recycling the bottles. That seems to be the
main problem. Examine the title of the poem. What do you think it means? Read the poem several

  • 2. Zinn Chapter 2 Summary Will Anderson Zinn reading Did the end of the war and emancipation change the situation of African Americans? How so? And if not, why not? Is a free man really free if he relies on another man to live? The slaves where finally announced free. The magical word that they never thought to hear but they always dreamed about. The slaves Jumped for joy thinking at that moment they can do anything they can finally live there lives and be like other men. Most slaves went to go and join the army they wanted to represent the man who let them free who saved them from there bounds. They went to help Lincoln win the war and get the union back together. Saying they farmed the land so they deserve the land. The slaves children where able to go to school. Are the slaves really free though? If they have to rely on the white man to be able to survive is this freedom. To me it is slavery with a different title and no more punishment. As Zinn says in his book the slave understood the fact that they may be called free but they really weren t. Like Zinn put it Many Negroes understood that their status after the war, whatever their situation legally, would depend on whether they owned the land they worked on or would be forced to be semis laves for others (ch9,196) They knew what could happen to them but they took the leap of faith anyway. One of the slaves said Lincoln got the the praise for freeing us, but did he do it? He gave us freedom without giving us any chance to live to ourselves and we still had to depend on the southern white manor work, food, and clothing , and he held us out of necessity and want in a state of servitude but little better then slavery. (ch9,197 198) The slaves begged Lincoln to give them land to let them survive on there own. Lincoln responded by sending them away from the world to California. There they at least didn t have to worry about the white ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Adults aged 18 to 25 year have a higher rate of current cocaine use than any other age group, with 1.5 percent of young adults reporting past month cocaine use (The Science of Drug Abuse Addiction , 2013). Every drug has a history as to how it came about, also, as to why it is used and or abused among adults. Each drug has its own chemical make up, along with how that drug works in the human body. Treatment of cocaine addiction must be comprehensive, and strategies need to assess the neurobiological, social, and medical aspects of the patient s drug abuse (The Science of Drug Abuse Addiction , 2013). • 4. The Last Example Of Situational Ethics (TWD) Imagine there is an out of control train careening toward a fork in the tracks. Stranded on the left route are ten strangers. Stranded on the right route is a good friend. You are standing by the lever deciding which route the train will take. Who do you choose to save? This is an example of how a situation might change the way a person reacts. If all the people in danger of being hit by the train were strangers, it is likely the person by the lever would choose to save the larger group on the left. However, the fact that a good friend is in danger might persuade this person to choose to save the one person on the right, over the larger group. This is an example where a situation changes a choice a person might make. Situational Ethics is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This situation will force them to have to make a choice that would never be made in a normal situation. Consider these normal life experiences as simple examples; running a red light might be unethical unless you were experiencing an emergency and rushing someone to the hospital, breaking a window would not be something a person normally does to their home, but would be considered fine if the home was on fire. Ethical behavior is the way people want to behave, and the way they are expected to behave. Fletcher s situational ethics theory explains that difficult situations sometimes affect the behavior and ultimately the outcome when trying to make an ethical decision. When situations are about surviving, ethical behavior is pushed aside and survival of the fittest becomes the new standard. This means a decision to be made from two bad choices can have no other outcome than an unethical one, which could be argued is situationally ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Summary Of The Short Existence Of Francis Macomber Ernest Hemingway has made a magnum opus of various mystery in his story The Short Existence of Francis Macomber . The riddle does not reveal itself to the pursuer until the very closure of the story, yet it leaves a lot of creative energy. Around the finish of this story Margaret Macomber butchers her significant other unexpectedly, she tries to spare him from being battered by extensive Bison while they were on a safari in Africa. The mystery is paying little respect to whether the killing was inadvertent, or purposeful. It was purposeful, they would have many proof in the story to give you a reasonable intention too. What makes this riddle uncommon is that Hemingway gives the pursuer different events that would lead the pursuer to devise a commendable rationale, yet human impulse tells the pursuer that this executing couldn t have been deliberate. From a just target investigation of the story, the pursuer would see altogether additionally supporting the theory of a deliberate executing rather than a coincidental one. The snippets of data supporting Margaret executed Francis intentionally can best be seen when watching and focus the foundation information on both Francis Macomber, and Margaret herself. (Hemingway 1402). What is in like manner key is that Margot and Francis have altogether different personalities. This is doubtlessly watched when the storyteller states, (Hemingway 1402). Throughout the movie, when Veda is upset, she rushes to Thomas J s house to see if he wanted to hang out ot id he was available to talk. Ince Thomas J. passed away,Veda visited a tree to think about life by herself. I really liked this movie a lot until Thomas J. died. It seems a bit messed up to have a young child die in a movie. I understand that the director might be trying to send a message about how fragile life is, but I think it was a little too much trauma for a coming of age movie. The movie made me cry because of personal reasons, as well. My mother s mom died when she was 13 years old and gave me a glimpse into what her life was life. It was difficult in my opinion. People are debating on if airbags are one of those flaws. People may believe that they don t stop people from getting hurt. This is incorrect because of Newton s first law. To start, Newton s first law is about motion and inertia. According to our textbook, when a car crashes, the momentum will be 0. The shorter the time, the greater the force will be. With airbags, the momentum is slowed down in a shorter amount of time, which leads to a smaller force (Video). • 10. How A Person s Memory Works Memory Alexis Marie Robinson Mrs Reilly English III Honors Period 6 09 Of March 2015 How A Person s Memory Works Memory is a concept that refers to the process of remembering. Recalling memories uses the same neurological paths humans use originally to sense the experience which in result, almost recreates the event. Researchers believe memory is a brain wide process, meaning that memory is not restricted to one area of the brain. Scent is one of the strongest senses tied to memory. Humans receive information through the five senses: 1sight, smell, taste, touch, and sound. Someone can imagine how different a memory would be for a person if one of they did not have one of their senses sight, sound, smell whatever the sense was that ties them closely to the memory the most. Memories are just different ways people store and remember various things they have sensed throughout life. 2It should be known that a single memory is a complex construction. For example, when people think of a simple object the brain retrieves the objects name, its shape, function, and anything else that closely ties itself to that object. 2Each part of this memory is from a different region of the brain. 3(Mohs and Turkington) As stated by April Holladay, memories of concepts and ideas are related to sense experiences because we extract the essence from sensed experiences to form generalized concepts. And in the past, many experts explained memory as a filing cabinet full of memory folders where ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 11. Relationship Between Religion And Politics In this course, I found the connection between religion and politics the most important concept we ve studied. With engagement and understanding of politics becoming increasingly important, it s valuable to study the ways people both interact with politics and form their political opinions and as we ve seen, religion can play a huge role in both of these aspects. However, the way religious groups engage with politics can perhaps be generalizing when discussing major religions, seeing as these groups are often widely diverse and brimming with unique experiences. Therefore, I believe it is just as important to discuss the political dimension of religion with the social influences of ethnicity, gender, sexuality, and the interrelations between them. Although the connections between religion and politics may be controversial to some, it really isn t surprising that they overlap. For many people, religion and politics are significant parts of their ideology and morals; they both shape ethical decisions and certainly influence how we view society and the interactions within it. Politics and religion, along with ethnicity, gender and sexual orientation, are important identities that shape how others see us, and how we see ourselves. Thus, it makes sense that religious beliefs may influence a person s politics or vice versa. While I believe a mix of these identities, and thus personal experiences, has the greatest impact on politics, religion clearly is a significant influence ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

I was the kind of kid that could get good grades, but when told to put an ice bag in the freezer, I accidently put it in the fridge. A person that would go to a parade, and take the good pieces of candy that they threw. It was not one of the smartest things I ve done in my life. At this parade, I would steal candy, go to the nearby park, and play tennis. At the parade, things were starting off very slow. It was very boring for me as a kid, so I had to try to entertain myself. One of the first things I tried doing at this parade was try to spider climb up the wall of a building. The roughness of the bricks I would try to grab would cut my small, fragile fingers and then the blood would start pouring out. I knew that if I was in the ocean, a shark would smell it from miles away and gobble me up as if I was a turtle. The boredom was eating me to death, but then I noticed that they were throwing candy at the crowd. I ran up to get some, so excited to put the delicious pieces of sugar into my mouth. After getting an absurd amount of candy, I saw my favorite type; a Hershey s chocolate bar. As I was running to get it, I saw a little kid was about to grab the delicious tantalizing chocolate bar(probably about 6 or 7 years old), I snatched it from his mitts. I then realised my step dad, Brian, watched me do that, scolded me then told me to go back over there and give it to the 6 year old. After that incident I ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Masticating juicer doesn t use blades and doesn t need high speed to extract juice from the fruits and vegetables. Masticating juicers are also more versatile than centrifugal juicers because, in addition to extracting juices, these juicers also homogenize foods to make baby foods, pates, sauces, nut butters, banana ice creams and fruit sorbets. Masticating juicers are better at preserving nutrients as they turn slowly and squash the juice out of your fresh produce, this is what we recommend as it s better for you, but bear in mind the juice will be live ie somewhat bitty, so your kids may not dig it. Masticating juicers work at lower speeds and are therefore more adept at juicing a wider range of fruit and vegetables than centrifugal juicers. Masticating juicers work well for all fruits and vegetables, including wheatgrass and leafy greens. Masticating juicers are less common, tend to be more expensive, better made and last a lot longer. They focused on the student as an athlete making that their main focus and concern. Together, the idea of athletics and academics complemented each other. While the focus remained on the student, the individual was able to learn valuable skills that would assist them in the real world. Since then, the focus of college education has changed to concentrating on the idea of entertainment. A well rounded student athlete is no longer expected since they are sacrificed for the sake of the audience s enjoyment. Today, athletic programs exist as entities, pretending to act in the best interest of the institution. Carson and Rinehart argue that the disappearance of the college student athlete has occurred for numerous reasons. • 21. The Dynamic Gastric Model ( Dgm ) The dynamic gastric model (DGM) was invented and designed by Dr. Martin Wickham and Dr. Richard Faulks from the United Kingdom. Even though the model is only half the size of the human digestive system, it can be used to investigate the effects of diet, drugs, alcohol and other factors on digestion. The figure is made of plastic and metal and is composed in two parts. The upper section is a funnel and a cylinder shaped container where food, enzyme, and gastric acid are mixed. After the hydration reaction, the mixture is transported down a metal tube to get crushed and is later stored in a transparent container to test the level of fat, protein or bacteria. Based on the various functions of the model, technology replaces human body and is ethically friendlier. Hence DGM well illustrates the digestive system, which brings a great contribution to development in science. The major limitation that differs dynamic gastric model from real organism is the inability to process active transportation. Without transport channel, molecules could not flow against the gradient. Consequently, the model fails to mimic the property of parietal cells, which the hydrochloric acid is secreted by active transport into the stomach of hydrogen ion against a concentration gradient of about 1 million to 1. Thus, the limitation of the model does show the detail and uniqueness of a living organism. On the other hand, dynamic gastric model mimics real organism from dialysis tubing, uneven mixing, ... • 29. The Innate Immune Systems And The Acquired Or Adaptive... The immune system can broadly be divided into two categories: the innate immune system and the acquired or adaptive immune system. The innate system acts like the first line of defense, it works by recognizing a broad range of pathogens on the basis of their patterns and certain molecules that are different from those found in the organism e.g. the human innate immune system will recognize peptidoglycans that are found in bacteria but not humans. The innate system consists of physical barriers like the skin and mucosal membrane and other cells like natural killers and cytokines. It is thought, as of now, that the innate immune system has no memory. The acquired or adaptive immune system on the other hand is much more specific. (Warrington, Watson, Kim, Antonett, 2011) Rick M Maizels et al state that the reason natural selection has favored so much variation in the immune response is because in order to survive, the organism must illicit a strong response against a large number of invading pathogens. Had this response not been a highly evolved one, our immune system would not have been able to fend of many complex pathogens which can themselves evolve rapidly to encounter the hosts immune system. During their investigation, OSHA found that between the dates of February 7th and April 12, 2014, around 40 individual incidents of workplace violence had occurred, the most serious of which resulted in brain injuries sustained by a nurse who was attacked by a patient. All of the incidents involved staff members being verbally and physically attacked by patients and visitors, or staff members being injured when breaking up fights between patients. A witness for the investigation stated that the administration was aware of the violence and threats, but did nothing to improve the effectiveness of its ineffective workplace violence program or to increase security for employees. The medical center was found to have committed willful violation of OSHA workplace safety regulation and fined $78,000. The medical facility was given fifteen days after receiving the ... • 32. Essay about The Defender of the Faith The Defender of the Faith In Philip Roth s, Defender of the Faith , Sergeant Nathan Marx is the Defender of whom the title speaks. Reluctant at first, Marx defended his faith on two fronts, one across the sea in Europe and the second in the United States. The battle in the states was of a different type. Marx learned what it was like to defend his and the faith of his fellow Jews against prejudice and abuse by those who waged the war. Marx is not an orthodox Jew. He does not follow the doctrine as most of those in his religion would and did not realize until asked by Grossbart that he was still religious. Though Grossbart showed him he was not like others, Grossbart was not the central antagonism, The war was. It was not that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Marx was concerned that Grossbart was right and that those who wanted to attend the service should have the chance to attend. Marx confronted Captain Barrett on the matter, who only confirmed Grossbart s case by showing he was prejudice. Captain Barrett told Marx he d fight side by side with a nigger if the fella proved to me he was a man. (p.119) Marx was not pleased with the captain s outlook, and even less pleased when the captain told him he should leave that stuff to the Chaplain. (p.119) Marx took it upon himself that the soldiers who wanted to attend church should be allowed and ordered his C.Q. to announce Jewish personnel who want to attend services this evening are to fall out in front of the orderly room, (p.120) and then added By order of Captain Barrett. Marx had won that battle. Marx, after a few exploits of Grossbart, such as getting a weekend pass to attend a religious dinner a month late and then not attending that dinner, understood that he was being played the fool. Grossbart did not want special privileges for his fellow Jewish soldiers, yet only wanted a free ride in the army. This came to Marx when Grossbart asked if Marx could do something about Grossbart s being shipped off to war in the pacific. Grossbart was ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 33. The Trouble With Art Analysis In the contemplation of art, or rather the conceptually intangible definition it currently possess, it is imperative to be mindful that art has been utilized as a promotional device, ceremonial item, aesthetically purposed article or perhaps none of these or all. It is because of this vague term that Carolyn Dean, in her text, The Trouble with (The Term) Art , makes a case for the consequences of applying the term art in societies that lacked such a notion which also accounts for the Western centric lens the field intrinsically utilizes when viewing non Western art. The claim is deftly supported by the utilization of expert accounts in the subject, alternative perspectives for what is considered the current norm, and self examining questions, ... This illustrates how now, people were placing an importance on what was previously discarded just because the Western thought just became open to accommodate such works in their idea of art. From this stance, art is arbitrary and suits the whims of Western art historians. The object is still the same, but now the Western world deems it to be of value, which exemplifies Dean s argument that we are looking at pieces through our eyes and not the way it was meant to be seen. Just the idea of labeling an item of art may have interior motive If this piece is capable of preservation, can my name be remembered for its discovery? Is there monetary gain stemming from this ... • 35. Latino Voters And Hispanic Voters There were 3,427 voters from the 62% in the city of Los Angeles that were selected for the survey in June 5, 2001(Abrajano, Nagler, Alverez, 2005). The result showed that there were racial preference in the voting patterns for the mayoral race, where 82% of Latino voters supported the Latino candidate Villaraigosa, 79% of black voters supported the white candidate Hahn and 58% of whites voted for Hahn (Abrajano, Nagler, Alverez, 2005). Delgadillo won the city attorney race receiving the majority support from the Latino voters and black voters (Abrajano, Nagler, Alverez, 2005). White voters who crossed over to vote for a Latino candidate voted based on the issue and position that the candidate was running on, but for Latino voters who voted for the white candidate, the context of the race mattered less (Abrajano, Nagler, Alverez, 2005). In the spatial model, voter s ideology had a positive significance in both races (Abrajano, Nagler, Alverez, 2005). The more liberal the voters in the mayor race were, increased the chances that they would vote for the Latino candidate while in the city attorney race the more conservative the voter were the more likely they would vote for the Latino candidate (Abrajano, Nagler, Alverez, 2005). Matsubayashi and Ueda (2010) analyzed whether white voters used candidate race as a voting cues in an election between a white and Black candidate. • 36. Story Of Bottled Water What is your opinion on the topic after reading/viewing the selection? Do you agree or disagree with the author? Why or why not? I watched The Story of Bottled Water . This video s main goal is to persuade you not to buy bottled water. The producers of the video gave examples showing a bad light on bottled water. One example highlighted how water bottles were sitting in landfills in India and polluting the world. I agree with the fact about how it is bad that the bottles are causing pollution. At another point in the video they said that being seen drinking out of a bottle of water was getting to the same level as being seen smoking while pregnant. I disagree with that statement. I think that is very extreme and just not true. My opinion on this topic after watching the video is that the problem is not the bottles of water and their companies, it is the factories in India that are not actually recycling the bottles. That seems to be the main problem. Examine the title of the poem. What do you think it means? Read the poem several times, then look at the title again. What do you think it means now? ...
