Who made it? The Texas Education Agency Educational Technology Advisory Committee(ETAC)  developed the School Technology and Readiness (STaR) Chart
What is it? STAR Chart is an online tool used to:  a. plan how technology will be used  b. allocate and budget for resources c. evaluate the progress of local technology projects d. determine what your current level of technology use is  e. as a formative and/ or summative assessment tool
Why do we need it? To make sure that we are on the right path and following the  Texas Long Range Plan for Technology http:// www.tea.state.tx.us/index2.aspx?id=5082&menu_id=2147483665
What can it tell me? The STaR Chart produces a profile which tell us how close we are as a campus to reaching the goals of the  Texas Long Range Plan for Technology The indicators on the profile places us at one of the four levels of progess on the LRPT: Early Tech, Developing Tech, Advanced Tech, or Target Tech
What do our progress levels look like  ? I. Teaching and Learning  Key Area Total:18  Key Area STaR Classification:  Advanced Tech II.
