The STaR Chart is an evaluation tool created by Texas to help schools assess their education technology profiles, demonstrate progress, and focus areas for improvement, due to accelerating technological changes. The chart evaluates schools in four key areas - Teaching and Learning, Educator Preparation, Leadership and Infrastructure - and classifies their level of development. Since its creation, the STaR Chart has helped Texas schools meet goals set in the state's Long Range Technology Plan.
