INTRODUCTION
                  •   Born on 15th of May 1975 in Chennai.
                  •    His vision was affected when he was
                      studying in 3rd STD.
                  •   From 6th to 12th standard, he finished
                      his education at St.Louis School for the
                      Blind at Adyar, Chennai.
                  •    He later completed a correspondence
                      course in English Literature and
                      graduated with a Bachelor Degree of
                      Arts.
                  •   worked as a volunteer in a blind
                      welfare trust
                  •   PCO booth during 2001-02 at LIBA

                     Mr. Sundaresan is today not
                     just a guide, mentor and
                     philosopher for the residents
                     of Gnanadarshan Seva
                     Foundation but a role model
                     and source of inspiration.

GNANADARSHAN SEVA FOUNDATION
   Nearly 100 of its students have benefited
    from the support provided by the
    foundation and its volunteers and quite a
    few of them have secured Government
    jobs as well.
    It was inaugurated by Mr. Garimala
    Subramanian, a visually challenged
    person, who is working in “The Hindu”.
    From 2006, the foundation started a
    program called ‘Life star’ to impart life
    skills to visually challenged women.
   The visually challenged women with the
    objective of empowering them to secure a
    self employment. Goodwill Foundation
    of India was renamed in 2010 as
    Gnanadarshan Seva Foundation for the
    Disabled.                                   7
Vision
To create awareness about visually challenged women and
create a society based on equality and solidarity
Gnanadarshan aims to take care of the basic needs of the
visually challenged women in today’s world by furthering
their educational aspirations and help them lead a life of
independence and dignity in the society.

Mission
Gnanadarshan’s mission is to provide:
  • Counseling for visually challenged women for education
  and career prospects
  • Education in vocational subjects to visually challenged
  women
  • Create awareness in society for upliftment and
  equanimity for visually challenged women
  • Food and shelter to visually challenged women from
  economically weaker sections of the society

The day to day expenses are like food and for
cleaning purpose etc.
 Daily expenses of food cost RS 3000.
Cleaning purpose charges RS 100.
They are all comfortable with their basic
needs
People who are surrounded that place
offering them.

project of the voice record of grammar (Tamil and English) .
oThis was asked by them for their easy reading purposes.
oAlso tailoring batch offered the clothes stitched by them.
oClothes were stitched for 30 students
