SERUDS by his mother. He is currently studyingin sixth grade. His father
Ramudu drinks and beats his mother Yashoda and tries to snatch the
family’s savings. Though Ramudu likes his children,his aggressive and
alcoholicbehaviourprevents him from going to work and provide basic

onlyearningmember of the family. His mother noticed that Thirumalesh’s
father’s behaviourhad a bad impact. Thirumalesh‘ssister is studyingninth
grade in telugu medium, in theirnativeplace.His mother understood
importance of education and wanted to join Thirumaleshin English medium
. As English medium schoolingwas not available in his village, his mother
joined him at Seruds.Tirumalesh joined Seruds in 2020 when he was 9 years

Malleshwari : Malleshwari is currently studying in 3rd class in Indira Gandhi
memorial municipal corporation high school(IGMMCH). She was joined here
by her mother Sarojamma. Her father Ramanjaneyalu died in a train accident.
To take the responsibility of her family, her mother Sarojamma works as a
daily labour. Being the sole earning member of the family she has to work all
day, so she didn’t have time to take care of her children. Because of this her
kids frequently skipped classes and used to roam around their village. The
money sarojamma was earning was not sufficient to take care of Malleshwari
and her sister Chandrakala. So she joined her children here at Joy home

Sai Sekhar : Venakata Saisekharparents frequentlyhad conflicts and this
led to divorce. His mother alone has been raisingthe three children.With
the moneyshe earned it became difficult for her to take of her 3 children.
Sai sekharis sick and often suffers from blackouts. After his parents divorce
saisekharstayed with his grand parents house.COVID gave a breakin his
studyas he couldn’t secure a seat.Even though he completed his 6th
standard,his TC didn’t had it mentioned,so he has to study6th standard
again

3. Manisha : Manisha is currently studyingin 3rd class in Indira Gandhi
memorial muncipal corporation high school (IGMMCH). Manisha comes
from a family of 5 children.Manisha’s father Bhasakris an alcoholic.He
abandonedhis familybecause of this addiction.The entire family’s
responsibilityfell on Meena’s shoulders.Her mother’s earnings todaywere
onlysufficient to provide food for the familyfor the next day. Seeing this
