Five students from the Eureka Super Kidz Centre conceived a plan to clean the bus stand in Madayampakkam village, as it was in an unhygienic condition causing discomfort. They coordinated with local people and received approval from the Village Panchayat Head. With the help of tutors and locals, they removed thorny bushes, covered mud puddles and pot holes, and added plants and flowers, transforming the bus stand into a neater area. The children were proud of their accomplishment and grateful for the appreciation of village people.

 The Need
◦ The bus-stand was chosen for the project since that was the place
frequented by all and sundry but was in a very unhygienic condition
spreading diseases and causing discomfort to passengers

◦ All students of Eureka Super Kidz Centre in Madayampakkam Village

3.  The Opportunity –
◦ The bus stand at Madayampakkam village was
so unclean
◦ Thorny bushes, garbage, mud and rain water
puddles were all over the area
◦ Causing a lot of hardships to the commuters
 The Effort –
◦ The children from Eureka Super Kidz Centre
decided to do something about it
◦ They decided to coordinate with the local
people and wrote an application to the Village
Panchayat Head requesting to clean the bus
stand

4. ◦ The five-member team cleaned the bus stand with the help of
the Eureka Kidz Centre’s tutors as well as some local people
◦ Thorny bushes were removed and the mud puddles and pot
holes were covered
◦ They also placed plants and flowers in the bus stand making it
all the more neat in appearance as well!

5.  We children wanted to change
something and achieved it!
 And we won the appreciation and
gratitude of the village people as
well.
