This is a portfolio of all the work I have done in visual merchandising. In this portfolio is the windows I have created and the CAD directives and mood boards made as inspiration.
this presentation first define what is visual merchandising then deal about design elements and principle that basically support how to apply on retail store exterior and interior parts.
Visual merchandising can be simply defined as the physical presentation of products. It is the coordination of all physical elements of a business to project the right image. Visual merchandising has increased tremendously in importance with the growth of self-service retailing. Good to marketing & presenting is merchandising, which attempts to maximize sales and profitability by inducing consumers to buy a company’s products.

My name is Isaura Guillen and I am currently a senior at the California State Polytechnic University of Pomona. I am an Apparel Merchandising & Management Major with an emphasis in Retail. After I graduate in Fall, I hope to find a job in the marketing and merchandising field. My career goals are to be a buyer or Product Development Manager for an ethical and conscious fashion brand. I have previously completed fashion internships to gain knowledge and experience in the industry. I have completed a Public Relations Internship with Infinity Creative Agency in Los Angeles and have volunteered as a guest relations intern for the annual Los Angeles Union Station Fashion Show. Along with these internships I have 5 years of retail and sales experience and 2 years of Retail Management experience. I have an intense passion for the ethical and sustainable apparel industry and look forward to expanding my knowledge after graduation.
During my last quarter in the Merchandise Marketing program at FIDM, I created a portfolio of the classes I had taken so far. This final presentation was a mock interview for an Associate Buyer job I would want to apply for post-graduation. The following presentation exhibits examples of several projects I completed, all of which have helped me in my buying career.
