Oscar Wilde said, “You can never be
overdressed or overeducated.” Ashley came to
appreciate this saying at an early age. With a
passion for fashion and knowing everything
she can about the industry, Ashley has
developed an eclectic skill set. She is a
creative and dedicated individual with
experience in many different roles throughout
the retail industry including 6 years as a Store
Manager and Pricer for a Luxury Consignment
Store.
Ashley has completed her degree in
Merchandise Marketing at FIDM/Fashion
Institute of Design & Merchandising in San
Francisco. Ashley is looking for an
opportunity within a company where she can
put her creative skills to work and build upon
her existing industry knowledge. With

  • 2. Ashley Stanton: Bio Oscar Wilde said, “You can never be overdressed or overeducated.” Ashley came to appreciate this saying at an early age. With a passion for fashion and knowing everything she can about the industry, Ashley has developed an eclectic skill set. She is a creative and dedicated individual with experience in many different roles throughout the retail industry including 6 years as a Store Manager and Pricer for a Luxury Consignment Store. Ashley has completed her degree in Merchandise Marketing at FIDM/Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in San Francisco. Ashley is looking for an opportunity within a company where she can put her creative skills to work and build upon her existing industry knowledge. With proficiency in luxury sales, store management, and visual merchandising Ashley is sure to be a welcomed addition to the fashion retail industry.

  • 5. Merchandising Knowledgeable of Omni-Channel retailing and how important it is for a seamless customer experience. Background in visual communications and merchandise presentation. Strong trend forecasting and research skills.
  • 6. Merchandising Predicted and created the Spring 2014 fashion message for TOPSHOP: “All Work And More Play” based on trends from their previous collections and upcoming trends in color, fabric, and fashion.
  • 7. Merchandising Determining color and fashion trends during the 1980’s based on economic, cultural, political, and social influences during that time period.
  • 8. Merchandising I developed a concept for a store called “Retrofitters”. I designed the interior, floor plan, and wall elevations. I also merchandised the store with fixtures and visuals based on my target market.
  • 9. Marketing Understanding of the importance of brand identities and strategies. Creative vision for marketing campaigns and product and store promotion. Knowledgeable of various forms of marketing including public relations, social media and special events.
  • 10. Marketing Within a team environment, I created a Press Kit announcing Sarah Jessica Parker’s appearance at Nordstrom to promote her new line. The Press Kit includes: Cover Letter, News Release, Fact Sheet, Photo Opportunity Sheet, and Photo with Caption.
  • 11. Marketing I created a blog called “Harlow Dreams”. The theme of the blog is Fashion and Film and this particular blog covered the Red Carpet at the Golden Globes.
  • 12. Marketing I created the home page to an online magazine called “Modern Maven”. It is a magazine for the modern woman with a playful vintage theme.
  • 13. Business Management Strong interpersonal, leadership, and team-building skills. Accomplished in developing and implementing a business plan for a potential startup company. Experienced in running a small business.
  • 14. Business Management In Leadership Development we studied influential company leaders and what makes them successful. I researched Kip Tindell, Founder and CEO of The Container Store.
  • 15. Business Management Within a team environment I developed a concept and wrote an extensive business plan for a startup company called “Paws & Claws”. An upscale pet boutique specializing in local and natural products and unique services.
  • 17. Buying Experienced in developing a company profile by analyzing data and identifying trends. Ability to produce spreadsheets for assortment and six-month planning. Knowledgeable of techniques used to allocate merchandise based on demographic and psychographic within specific geographic locations.
  • 18. Buying For this project I acted as a buyer for the Joie department at Nordstrom. I created a Market Trend Analysis based on company, demographic, and psychographic information.
