- 2. Process I made a extended Photoshop canvas so that I could tween it as a moving background, this meant I could add a character in front and make it look like they where moving along rather than the background moving. To start I made 2 rectangles, a green one and a blue one, I then colored in the blue one more making the green look un even, this would work as my grass and sky as you can see above. With these made I needed to add some slight detail so I drew some clouds then copied and pasted them along the top of the screen. Finally I drew a blue oval to make it look as though a small lake was on the grass, this would just break up all the normal background when It is moving and make it look as though it s not all the same

Reflection • What elements of your experiments will you include in your final product? • I may try to do a similar thing with the long background but I will put a lot more detail into it • The clouds I drew worked quite well and I may use their design in the official • I will try to also make the ground similar in the way it is not all flat, there are different heights and it gives it some actual difference in the background
- 4. Process While making my character I decided I did not have the skills to make anything that was visually impressive so I made a stick robot. I started with a standing pose (the image at the top) once I had this I spent a while trying to figure out how to make it look like he was moving. I started by coloring in one leg darker than the other but it didn't look right, I then decided to change the position of his arms and color one in. once I had 2 variations of this I could alternate them on each frame so that it looked like he was walking. The animation does not look very good but this was just a trial so I am not too concerned.
- 5. Reflection • What elements of your experiments will you include in your final product? • I will try include a human like character like the robot I used but I will have to massively improve the way I draw it so the movement is more clear • I will colour the arms and legs differently as I did with my robot to help show the movement
- 6. Process I then added both of these together and tweened my background while having my robot walk. To do this I added a timeline at the bottom and tweened the background over 46 frames, this made it pan over the background quite fast showing the whole thing in 9 seconds. After I had done this I had to add my robot on each different frame, making sure that each one had a different walking pose so that every 0.2 seconds it would appear his legs are moving. I did this for all slides then watched it threw, after watching it I am happy that it looks like he is moving across the background and although very poor my walking animation does get the job done and show what I intended
- 7. Reflection • What elements of your experiments will you include in your final product? • I will try and include a larger amount of frames so that the background moves a lot slower but I enjoy the speed of this clip as it matched the speed I wanted my robot to ”move” at. • I will also try and keep each movement on a different layer so that it is smoother and has no overlaps
