Stereotypes
Speech is much like the fashions in clothing. Most of us dress according to the style of the day. The
shoes we wear and the shirts we put on usually what is considered fashionable. If you choose to ignore
the understood dress rules set by society, than your chances of being accepted become slim. In the
same manner, when you ignore the majority s methods of speech, you become less accepted for it. If
you buy a cool Tommy Hilfiger shirt, nobody looks at you any less for giving in to the standard
instead of wearing a pink and orange poke a dotted shirt like you might have wanted to. You have not
degraded yourself for conforming, but instead have opened opportunities for an audience. Just the
same, when you change your manner of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When reading Anzaldua s essay, I could not help thinking how ridiculous it is for someone to be
prejudged based solely on the language they speak. She states If a person, Chicana or Latina, has a
low estimation of my native tongue, she also has a low estimation of me. This is not how things
should work. Stereotypes control too much of our perceptions of different people. Knowing that
people rely on stereotypes to judge unfamiliar people, I do not believe that it is wrong to change our
language to fit into another situation. If we change our methods of speech, then we are more likely to
be heard and have our ideas appreciated. In the movie Educating Rita, Rita is a hair dresser who
speaks the working class dialect in Britain. Upon enrolling in a university, she realizes that she is very
out of place and tries on many different identities and languages to fit in. Although no one ever comes
out and ridicules her for speaking the way she does, there is always the pressure looming over her to
conform to the rest of the students in their way of speaking. Rita was doing what she had to do to fit
in. If she was to go her own route and continue talking the same that she did when she entered the
college, she would not have many friends and her peers would not take her seriously. But she does
change to a certain degree to fit into the student mold, and her social life benefits as a result.

Art Curriculum
She explained that many of the projects the students create are based off of themes they are studying
in class, for example third grade is looking at geometric design and creating art in the style of African
tribes. Mrs. Fitzgerald explained the art curriculum is a process and each year more technical skills are
added. Mrs. Fitzgerald assesses the strengths and weaknesses of the fine arts department by allowing
the students to set goals at the beginning of the school year and reviewing them throughout the year.
She explained that third grade is working on a weaving project and that the project has a combination
of teacher expectations and student goals.

Anne s. Henry explained that he was currently learning about the chesapeake bay in science class,
learning how to multiply and divide decimals in math, learning words in humanities, and learning how
to play the clarinet in music class. For suggestions on how to improve the school, Henry suggested
that the school should provide more ice packs for students who have been injured. In regards to the
teachers, Henry suggested that teachers ask students to help their peers because he believed students
learn easier when another student helped them rather than the teacher. Also, Henry suggested that if
the teachers notice students are not paying attention then to have the class take a short break. Lastly,
when asked about what St. Anne s vision/mission was, Henry stated that he thinks it is to have kids
learn as much as they can at St. Anne s so they can succeed in

Influenza Vaccine Research
Influenza A and B viruses are responsible for causing influenza. It is an acute respiratory illness that
occurs every year mainly during fall and winter (from late November through March).1 Therefore,
CDC recommends to vaccinate everyone 6 months and older with influenza vaccine every year.
Children aged 6 months 4 years, adults 50 years and over, health care professionals,
immunosuppressed personnel, American Indians/ Alaska natives, extremely obese patients (BMI ≥ 40)
and pregnant women should be prioritized to receive influenza vaccines in case of limited vaccine
supply.2 Among adults, people over 65 years have more chances of complications, hospitalizations
and death from influenza vaccine as most of them have some chronic diseases which ... Show more

It was a randomized, double blinded, phase IIIb IV, active controlled trial that was carried out in USA
and Canada to compare the effectiveness of high dose influenza vaccine (60 µg of hemagglutinin per
strain) versus standard dose vaccine (15 µg of hemagglutinin per strain). Medically stable patients
who are 65 years and over were included in the study. Participants with life threatening reaction to
vaccines, history of Guillain Barre syndrome, bleeding disorders, dementia, or if they received the flu
vaccine within 6 months, were excluded from the study. The study was carried out for 2 years during
flu season and each year participants were randomly assigned to receive 1:1 ratio of either the high
dose (IIV3 HD) or standard dose (IIV3 SD) of influenza vaccine. Participants were contacted two
times a week or at least once weekly by a call center between Jan to April. Participants reported to
their specific site if they have any respiratory symptoms. The primary end point of the trial was the
occurrence of influenza at least after 14 days from vaccinations. The trial also assessed effectiveness,
immunogenicity and serious adverse events. A total of 30,000 participants were needed to meet the
80% power. In total, 31,989 participants were enrolled in the trial and so the study met power. Two
sets of analysis were used in the trial: 1) Intention to treat analysis and 2) per protocol analysis. All
31,983 participants who received vaccines were included in intention to treat analysis and 31,803
participants were included in per protocol analysis. In intention to treat analysis, 228 participants
(1.4%) in IIV3 HD group had influenza as compared to 301 participants (1.9%) in IIV3 SD group
(relative efficacy, 24.2%, 95 % CI, 9.7 36.5). Throughout the trial at least one serious adverse event

Trade With Saudi Arabi The Five Dimensions Of Culture
TRADE WITH SAUDI ARABIA
Introduction Saudi Arabia is a country located in South East Asia and according to the Department of
Commerce, is the largest economies in the Middle East and North Africa region (International Trade
Association). The purpose of this paper is to provide details that will assist a US company with being
successful in conducting business in Saudi Arabia.
The Five Dimensions of Culture There are five Dimensions of Culture that Hofstede mentions in
International Business, The Challenge of Global Competition. These include: Individualism
collectivism, power distance, uncertainty avoidance, masculinity femininity and long term
orientation/Confucian dynamism. Understanding these dimensions will assist a U.S. ... Show more

It is important that an American trying to do business in Saudi Arabia understand the hierarchy so they
don t offend anybody. Uncertainty Avoidance describes a society s comfort with uncertainty (Ball
100). The Saudi Arabian culture prefers to avoid uncertainty, meaning they feel the need to have strict
laws and rules, and expect to have clear procedures to maintain the status quo. (Ball 100). An
American trying to do business in Saudi Arabia will need to remember that change is not welcomed so
innovation may be resisted (The Hofstede Center). Masculinity femininity dimension describes the
gap between the roles of men and women in the culture (Ball 100). Saudi Arabia is a masculine
society meaning that both men are typically more assertive and competitive. Although there aren t as
many women working in Saudi Arabia, the women that do work are considered to be assertive and
competitive, just like their male counterparts. An American would need to keep this in mind in regards
to management because the culture expects management to be decisive and assertive (The Hofstede
Center). Long term orientation/Confucian dynamism is explained as the level to which people in the
culture will persevere to overcome obstacles they cannot overcome with will or strength (Ball 101).
The culture of Saudi Arabia a short term oriented society. This means that they

Hanukkah Research Paper
Hanukkah is the Jewish eight day winter festival of lights, Celebrated with lightings and more. The
Greeks tried to take over but failed because of the Jews stopped them. They eat fried foods to
celebrate the Holy oil. Kids like to play a game with a top with letters on it. Hanukkah is celebrated
because of what happened in the past when the Syrian Greeks wanted to rule the Jews. ???????To
honor the Holy oil, Jewish people eat foods fried in oil. Latkes or potato pancakes paired with
applesauce and sour cream was one thing they ate. Or jelly filled doughnuts are favorites at Hanukkah
celebrations is another. They make this food for other reasons too. The first is to honor the Holy oil
and another reason is because they like to make and eat these fried foods. Dairy food wasn t popular
until the middle ages came, so they only had fried foods at first. Another reason they eat these types of
food is because they have these weird diets, that most people can t understand.

Summary Of Trisha Brown´s Topping Dance Critique
Topping dance , was an article written by Trisha Brown and La Ribot during mid march of 2003. Trish
Brown performed at the Fabric Workshop and Museum in Philadelphia, an event titled It s a
Darw/Live Feed. This performance was a collaboration with the Department of Modern and
Contemporary Art of the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Brown s performance was a hybrid of
improvised dance and automatic drawing that would be witnessed live by an audience placed in a
separate space in the museum, where they could watch a live video feed. Reading this article, I found
it very interesting while also kind of difficult at some points. Having the discussion in class helped me
to better understand Brown s intention of her performance. On page 72, is it ... Show more content on

To keep track of both one must look up and down and sideways simultaneously. While Trisha Brown
is dancing the gaze and attention is produced within an excessively parergonic space. When reading
this part of the article, I related this to how dancers use projection or text while also dancing and
performing on stage. Depending on the performance and the use other art techniques, the specific
work could get distracting. When putting dance and projection together, making sure the performance
and projection match is important. As the audience is watching, each specific work could get
distracting where the audience will choose whether to watch the projection or the dancing. It is a
challenge when using multi media things because the nature of video, our eye pulls to it no matter how
interesting the performers are on stage. Olivia also mentioned while we were at ACDA, the
adjudicators spoke about how they were so distracted by some of the spoken words within the dances
because it was overpowering. They got lost with the movement because they were so focused on the
words. In our discussion on Wednesday, Taylor mentioned that on page 75, Brown s movements and
actions created a visual kinetic troubling brought about by her constant creation, redistribution, and
mobilization of multiplying vanishing points . Right before

Participation Awards Bad
A belief is an acceptance or understanding that something thought or stated is true. Most people in the
world have a belief or a strong opinion about something in their lives. I have a strong belief about
various types of awards that can affect people in different ways. Awards are prizes given to people
who have achieved something great or been outstanding in an event. Awards can be given for things
such as: achievements in sports, obtaining a high grade point average in school, or even more serious
things like the Nobel Prize. Most often, awards are given to people who exceed expectations and go
above and beyond the requirements set before them. However, occasionally, awards can be given to
entire groups of people for participation alone, even when some of the people in those groups do not
deserve an award, which I strongly see as a negative thing. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net
...
I presume this because participation awards can cause a recipient feel entitled to be given a tangible
reward for simply being involved in an event without necessarily giving any effort or making progress
towards achieving a common goal with the rest of the person s group. Another reason why I think
participation awards are a bad thing is because the awards sometimes cause a person to not try as hard
as he or she can, keeping the person from reaching his or her full potential. The final reason why I see
participation awards as a bad thing is because they should hold no value to owners because they are
too common. Many different factors have influenced me to feel this way including: personal
experiences, my parents, and professional football player, James Harrison. Participation awards are
bad for society in many different ways, and many factors have shaped me to feel this

Types Of Stress And Loss
Everyone at any given age is faced with different types of stress and loss. As human beings we
continuously evolve onto the next phase of our lives, which bring on new challenges and stress.
Ziegler (2014) indicated that it s a reminder that adult development encompasses both growth and
decline (Ziegler, 2014). Unfortunately, not everyone is equipped to deal with stress, consequently
resorting to maladaptive coping skills, such as: self indulging in over eating, smoking, and drinking
alcohol. Likewise, when dealing with loss, there are maladaptive coping skills, which are similar as
the ones described for stress, but also some may lash out or avoidance. On the other hand, others
adaptively and resiliently bounce back (Zeigler, 2014). Pollack (1988) stated, no matter how difficult
the situation, I will eventually find a way to cope with it (Pollack, 1988, p. 17). Pollack, is the example
of a person who through optimism, a good support network, resilience, and stress related growth, she
was able to get through stressful time by coping with the loss successfully (Ziegler, 2014). In 1988,
Pollack shares her own experience of losing her husband to colon cancer and how she managed to get
herself and family through it. I particularly learned something interesting about Pollack s experience,
as she stated, that she was grieving, long before his death (Pollack, 1988). Therefore, as she dealt with
her own reality, the ups and the downs, Pollack was ready to be confronted by

Summary Of The Sunflower
An Analysis of The Sunflower The Holocaust was a genocide that occurred from 1933 1945, and one
of its survivors was Simon Wiesenthal. After he was set free from the concentration camp, he
dedicated his life to finding Nazi war criminals and persecuting them in court. Later on in his life, he
wrote a memoir, The Sunflower. It was about one of his many experiences at the Lemberg
concentration camp where he got roped into listening to a dying SS soldier, Karl. Right before
Wiesenthal left Karl s room, Karl asked Wiesenthal, on behalf of all the Jews he persecuted, for
forgiveness. Wiesenthal left Karl s room without forgiving him, and then asked his readers, What
would I have done? At the end of The Sunflower, people who Wiesenthal picked to respond to his
question, had their answers published. The most interesting response was Jose Hobday s. Hobday
believed that Wiesenthal should have forgiven to Karl because it would have given Karl a sense of
peace, making it easier for him to pass on. Hobday had the correct answer to Wiesenthal s question
because even though all of the Jews that Karl persecuted are dead and will not be able to forgive him
in person, Karl just wanted someone to know that he was sorry for his actions. Jose Hobday was a
Franciscan nun of Seneca, Iroquois, and Seminole descent. She wrote about Catholic and Native
American spirituality, and her writings appeared in many publications such as Parabola, Cross
Currents, The National Catholic Reporter, and

Antecedents Of Environmental Pollution
An environmental pollutant: Smog
Smog is fundamentally gotten from the converging of two words; smoke and haze. Smog is likewise
used to portray the sort of mist which has smoke or sediment in it. Smog is a yellowish or blackish
haze framed principally by a blend of poisons in the climate which comprises of fine particles and
ground level ozone. Smog which happens principally on account of air contamination, can likewise be
characterized as a blend of different gasses with tidy and water vapor. Smog additionally alludes to
foggy air that makes breathing troublesome.
The environmental contaminations or gasses that shape smog are discharged noticeable all around
when powers are copied. Whenever daylight and its warmth respond with these gasses and fine
particles in the environment, smog is framed. It is simply caused via air contamination. Ground level
ozone and fine particles are discharged noticeable all around because of complex photochemical
responses between unpredictable natural mixes (VOC), sulfur dioxide (SO2) and nitrogen oxides
(NOx). These VOC, SO2 and NOx are called antecedents. The fundamental wellsprings of these
antecedents are toxins discharged straightforwardly into the air by gas and diesel run vehicles, modern
plants and exercises, and warming because of human exercises.
Smog is regularly caused by overwhelming movement, high temperatures, daylight and quiet winds.
These are few of the variables behind expanding level of air contamination in climate. Amid

Literature Review On Nursing Bedside Report
· The section entitled literature review relies primarily on studies conducted in the last 5 years.
The literature on nursing bedside report is focused in two general areas. The first focus area is the
process of implementing bedside report, either describing the experiences related to implementation or
explaining how other organizations could implement this change. The second area of focus is
improving the process of bedside report, often through observation and identifying common themes,
or by describing how others may improve their own reporting process.
· The theoretical or conceptual framework is described.
The conceptual framework was the interviews of the patients on their stay in the hospital. The patient
survey had 17 items dealing with the following nurse behaviors treating the patient kindly and with
respect, listening to the patient, informing the patient about their care, teaching so that the patient
could understand, working with other nurses, passing along information from shift to shift, including
the patient in report discussions and keeping the patient s health information private (Sand Jecklin
Sherman 2013).
· Does the literature review provide support for the importance of future study research?
Based on the initial post implementation data, several actions were taken to improve the consistency
of use of the blended shift report format. An Improving Bedside Report tip sheet was distributed by

Grammatical Structure And Inflectional Morphology
Verb Subject Agreement Issues in Association with VSO and SVO Word Order Patterns in Hijazi
Arabic
Abrar Abdulrahman J. Alsanosi
California State University, Fullerton
1. Introduction Arabic belongs to the Semitic language family. It has a complex syntactic structure and
inflectional morphology. Throughout this paper, the main variety of Arabic to be syntactically
investigated is Hijazi Arabic which is spoken mainly in the Hijaz region, the western coast of Saudi
Arabia.
There are two basic types of sentences in Hijazi Arabic, the nominal sentence which starts with a
noun, and the verbal sentence which starts with a verb (Mohammad, 2000: 2). As in:
Word order Sentences from Hijazi Arabic (reads from right left) Tree diagram

phase induction motor by vector control method. The vector control algorithm is calculated on
Motorola DSP56F80X. The block diagram is shown in figure which describes the structure of
implement vector control algorithm. The result obtained is verified using matlab simulation. Initially
speed reference is set at120 radian/s and torque taken as 0 nm. Then motor is run, speed, torque and
current wave form is taken. Now speed reference changes to 160 radian/s and torque changes to
200nm and correspondence wave form is shown. I observed that it run smoothly over the full speed
range, generate full torque at zero speed, and have high dynamic performance including fast
acceleration and deceleration. It was originally developed for high performance motor application for
industrial drives. However, it is becoming increasingly attractive for lower performance applications
as well due to FOC s motor size, cost and power consumption reduction superiority. .. In vector
control method machine is control in a synchronously rotating frame where as in sinusoidal machine

Epic Of Gilgamesh Analysis
In the Epic of Gilgamesh , it is easy to conclude that Gilgamesh, the protagonist of the story, is the
hero. In Like Mayflies in a Stream , Gilgamesh is merely a scary person who appears in the story here
or there rather than being the protagonist. Instead, Shamhat is the main person that the story focuses
on, but the book is imprecise on one hero of the entire story. There are numerous characters that could
reflect hero aspects such as going on a quest, having another to help guide them, or facing trials.
Personally, I believe that there is no true hero in this story due to the nature that Shamhat is a woman,
who were represented badly during this time, and that Shauna Roberts did not want to misrepresent
the epic due to extreme ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This singular word, only , immediately tells us as a reader that they are looked down upon, are not as
good as men, and are not as important to society. Along with this, many people call Shamhat a whore
when her pregnant stomach begins to show. Women, and girls for that matter, as Nameshda was only
13, were raped by Gilgamesh. Shamhat is the older sister in her family, yet her younger brother
Geshtu gets to make all of the decisions for the family. The scenarios in this book are contemplative of
how women are viewed and treated compared to the men of society. Patriarchy is correct by their
standards, and having women in any sort of important role is almost nonexistent. Due to this
condescending view, we can understand why it would be difficult to have Shamhat as the hero in this
story. If men are the superior ones, wouldn t it make sense to have a man as the hero? In the event that
a woman was a hero in this story, it may make readers predict that the entire society will change their
outlook on women by the end of the story. On the other hand, others may think that Roberts was trying
too hard to modernize this epic. With this issue, Roberts could fear that creating this story with a
female hero may be too contemporary and take away from the true epic. She already modernized the
book somewhat by adding in a love triangle and happily ever after ending. Adding a female hero may
just completely

Difference Between Whites And Native Americans
The United States saw themselves superior to the Native Americans in all ways. One of these
superiorities included the social stance between the whites and the Indians. In the winter of 1811
Tecumseh preached to the Osages, The white men despise and cheat the Indians; they abuse and insult
them; they do not think the red men sufficiently good to live. The Natives begin to realize that they
have always been mistreated by the whites and understand that they are seen as inferior towards the
whites. This is similar to John Ross s experience; he was once liked very much by many white men,
until after he married a white woman. Their marriage aroused harsh anger and he soon became
disliked by the white man for taking a woman of their race. The riot

Health Care Trends and Perceptions Regarding the Insurance...
Health Care
Determine what correlations can be made regarding the increase in population and the public
perception of the health insurance system. Be sure to present your thoughts in a credible manner that
is non offensive yet factual.
The population has been steadily increasing in the United States since its founding. For a long period
the US led the industrialized world in its fertility rate however, though this rate has slowed in recent
generations with Americans having few babies per household, immigration into the US has become
one of the main drivers of the expanding population (Wang, 2013). Furthermore, the population is also
steadily aging and therefore often requires more in terms of health care services. All of these factors
contribute to a trend in which health care accessibility is becoming more and more limited in all types
of coverage s. For example, those who have private health insurance may be faced with higher out of
pocket costs and limited services to attempt to control costs while those without private insurance
could be potentially excluded from service all together. One study found that in 2007 nearly two thirds
of all bankruptcies were related to medical expenses; a trend that has been rapidly increasing since the
turn of the century (McCarthy, 2009). It is reasonable to believe that such trends correlate to a
negative perception of the health insurance system.
Consider the health trends in the U.S. over the last two decades and make some

among them are unemployment, poverty, religion, and so on. The rate of kidnapping in North America

the things that the security in our country is working on. According to National Center for Missing and
Exploited Children, Roughly 800,000 children are reported missing each year in the U.S. The act of

The Incredibles Conflict Theory Essay
CST 477 May 2, 2013 Final Paper The Incredibles (2004) A movie by Pixar, The Incredibles was very
well thought of by audiences. In 2005, it won an Academy Award for Best Animated Feature Film of
the Year beating the movies Shark Tale and Shrek 2 . The film starts off as an interview with three
superheroes known as Mr. Incredible, Elastigirl, and Frozone talking about why they have secret
identity. They all love their role as superheroes and enjoy helping people. While the start doesn t
necessarily show conflict it does provide the audience of some tension by having Elastigirl mention
that she fights crime because it s typically a male only thing, and she doesn t believe that men should

Waking Up Of The Philippines

Philippines I finally realized what I was seeing. I was in some impoverished hellhole surrounded by
withered mothers with naked children in their arms and flies on their faces. Their feet were blackened
with cigarette ashes and dirt, and they reeked of month old garbage and perspiration. When I first saw
them, I was disgusted not at them, but at the fact that they had to live like that. I went downstairs to
get a closer look, and immediately, I was approached by a scrawny eight year old with emaciated arms
and legs and a bloated stomach. Though scrupulously clean, he was dressed in an odd assortment of

The summer heat pushed me with great force, and blasts of hot air burned my face. A single drop of
sweat trickled down my back, leaving a cooling feeling as it made its way down. I tried fanning
myself to cool off, but I continued to swelter from the humidity. You will get used to it said Rameel,
who was my chauffeur and city guide. He picked me up from the airport in his broken down Toyota
Carolla and took me to my hotel. Rameel was a shabby middle aged man, with a strong filipino
accent. I understood what he was saying fifty percent of the time, but the other fifty percent was him
making unintelligible noises. We drove through the poverty stricken city, and what I thought were
colorful piles of trash, were actually mounds of makeshift houses that were made out of boxes and
umbrellas. I looked closer, and I could see the destitute families, outcasted by society, finding refuge
in these piles of trash. The vehicles on the road, which consisted of mostly knock off brands of major
car manufactures and tricycles, were lined nose to tail right down the busy street. Exhaust fumes
belched, and car horns blared. The highway became a giant parking lot. As we sat in the car, we were
approached by a half naked child, who looked like he just got out of a fight. His hair was standing up
in every direction possible, and his clothes looked like they were washed in a puddle of mud. He
violently banged the window of the passenger seat and proceeded to cupping

Man Carrying Thing By Wallace Stevens
September 11,2001 was one of the saddest days in American history. As everyone knows, September
11, 2001 was the day that shook the world. It didn t only affect the US but everyone around the world.
The people in those buildings were not only Americans but people of every nationality. I don t think
that one person knew exactly how to react or think. This tragedy is something that should have never
happened from the start. However, it did. Most of America can tell you that they remember exactly
what they were doing and where they were on September 11th. Unfortunately, for kids my age, we
were just too young to remember the devastating events that happened on this day. Even though it may
seem as though many people lost their lives in these tragic events, we have to remember that hundreds
and thousands were saved. However, weeks after thousands were estimated dead. What is the worst
about this event is that a lot the workers or visitors who died had been at or above the point ... Show

This ties into the Jumpers sculpture because she used paper to represent the people. We all know that
paper did not really fall from the Twin Towers, it was people. So for that reason we should not let the
fact that she has paper take away from the real picture. In the poem Man carrying thing we can see
that Wallace Stevens is basically saying take your focus from the secondary to the primary. With the
Twin Towers, nobody wanted to accept that it happened and people jumped to their death but we had
to realize and accept it. In conclusion, we can see that Melinda Hoffman used many objects and
symbolism to represent a terrible tragedy that happened. If you take the time and observe, modernism
is all over this sculpture. From the everyday objects used to represent the Twin Towers, to the paper
being used to represent people. We must focus of the primary objective and not the

Heart Of Gold Zaphod Analysis
If there s anything more important than my ego around here, I want it caught and shot now. This
statement was said by Zaphod to Trillian in the Improbability Drive prototype ship, the Heart of Gold.
Zaphod told Trillian this after she asked him if he could just put down his ego for an important matter.
Two hitchhikers came aboard the Heart of Gold, and Zaphod just continued to watch this news about
him, not giving a care about the two hitchhikers. After he said this, Trillian realized that they were at
the same point in the universe where he picked her up, but Zaphod tried hard to veer her mind into
somewhere else. This statement by Zaphod blatantly shows his personality of being egoistic or
narcissistic in the story. This statement ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The dolphins tried to tell the humans about the Earth coming to an end, but the humans misunderstood
every message of the dolphins as amazing stunts and tricks. This last message, So long and thanks for
all the fish which again misunderstood by humans as the dolphins just trying to do a stunt, was the
least the dolphins can do for the doomed humans by thanking them for the fish the humans fed to them
after every stunt they made. After this, the humans never cracked the message of the dolphins, and
they never knew that the Earth is coming to an end until it did. The meaning of these words within the
context of the story is simply that there were living beings on Earth and outside of Earth that was
capable of communicating with humans, although they couldn t understand it or haven t acquired the
capacity to listen to it such as the warning given by the Vogons of the demolition of Earth. In real life,
this statement can be thought of how people leave others when they ve got what they wanted from
them. Specifically, politicians who are corrupt are somewhat what this statement criticizes. After all
the fish , symbolizing taxes, the humans, symbolizing people or citizens, gave to the dolphins, which
symbolizes exploitive governments or political leaders, they just left them on Earth to die. Not to
mention the stunts that the dolphins performs both mesmerizes and confuses humans that the dolphins
were doing what they were supposed to

Music Techniques In Alfred Hitchcock s Psycho
Psycho
Alfred Hitchcock s iconic film Psycho is one of the best horror movies in history. It is famous as well
as notorious even with today s high standards. The movie is about a secretary, Marion, who embezzles
$40,00 from a client of her employer. She goes on the run and ends up staying at a very remote and
creepy hotel. There she meets Norman Bates, a man who seems to be under a lot of control of his
mother. Marion ends up being murdered in the famous shower scene by Norman s mother, however, at
the end we end up finding out that the mother was actually Norman who had developed a double
personality of his mother. While this movie s story and plot are outstanding to stay the least, the movie
s success also had a lot to do with the sound used within in key scenes. The sound also helped play a
major role in the movie s themes, which I believe to fear, and guilt.
I think that the music used in throughout the film corresponded with the theme overall in some way,
shape or form. Even at the very beginning of the film, before any scenes take place, we are given
suspenseful music. This is used to convey the over arching theme to the audience right away to make

once the car takes a different turn, the music stops and the audience is relieved. Another example, is
again when Marion is driving, she is remembering back to the crime that she committed. In this scene
it is obvious that Marion feels very guilty, and the music playing in the background really helps

Study Strategies For Health Education
1. After reading the assignments for this week, discuss the impact of knowledge related to various
populations and how this can impact your professional clinical practice
The readings for this week s assignment provides evidence that disparities persist in medical care for a
number of health conditions and services in the diverse populations, which is impacted by their
knowledge base. According to the article Strategies for Health Education in North American

The focus in the clinical practice would be to reduce health care disparities and address the barriers
that affect the individual s health care outcomes. The most important strategy to promote health
education is to be culturally sensitive, which includes as a clinician to have knowledge with social
cultural, religious, healthcare issues, and remove barriers that impede the individual s heath care (Zou
and Parry 2012). Another strategy to facilitate health education is to remove language barriers. To
improve health education with language barriers effectively would be to use a medically trained
translator and not a family member. A clinician has to remind themselves that they are there for the
patient and their needs. Using a medically trained translator, a clinician can be confident that the
patient is receiving all of the information, able to ask and answer questions, and can feel confident that
the patient understands all the health information and what would need to be addressed with further
education. Trust is another health education barrier. Many African Americans are reluctant to
participate in health promotion programs due to mistrust in the health care community (Butler
Ajibade, Booth, and Burwell 2012). As a clinician, to establish trust is an extremely important element
to successfully promote health education in the African American community. To remove the trust

For one reading aloud lesson, the teacher used the popcorn reading strategy. She did most of the
reading, but every once in a while she picked one of the students to take over. I think that this was a
great way to handle the book that they were reading because there was some difficult vocabulary in
the section that they read that day. This style helped me to realize that even though they are in 4 th
grade, the students do not have to be responsible for all of the reading all of the time. It is a good thing
to give them a break every so often and just let them enjoy the story through following along.
However, I did like that she would stop about every other paragraph and ask questions about tough
vocabulary and what was happening in the story. This is a great way to make sure that the students
were really following along and not staring at the floor or off into space. She also was able to insert a
minilesson review on using context clues to figure out the meaning of an unknown word. Since she
knew which students would be comfortable reading the material in front of the whole class and which
would not, the teacher was able to choose the confident readers to do the reading aloud and have the
others answer the questions.
With buddy reading, I think that it is a great way for a strong reader to help a struggling reader. As a
class read their material in pairs, I heard one little girl encourage her partner who was struggling with

The Discovery Of Space Weather
For my science fiction I will be writing a story through mission logs or a first person view of a captain
and his crew of astronauts who have their trajectory thrown off and now are way off track. Not only
this, but the crews new plasma thrusters have malfunctioned and the crew will be unable to get back
on track until it is repaired. The cause of their navigational errors will be an unusual solar wind that
creates a geomagnetic storm that affects the people on Earth and electrical disturbances to the people
in the spacecraft. Unsure of what to do, the crew will have to work together and hope they can get
ways to solve the issue from Earth too return home. Space Weather is exactly what it sounds like, it s
the weather of the space environments which are mainly cause by the interactions solar winds from
the sun with our Earth [1] (NOAA). Just like how the weather in the Troposphere and the
Stratosphere, which is just what people normally think of weather, affects our daily lives, space
weather has an equal potential to affect our lives. The reasoning for this is that as we become more
space reliant with the use of satellites for our phones, television and GPS, the potential for space
weather to actually have an impact on these things increase and will continue to potential cause

Reap What You Sow in Silas Marner by George Eliot Essay
The definition of fate is the development of events beyond a person s control. It is regarded as
something determined by a supernatural power, but I believe otherwise. In fact, I believe the exact
opposite. I believe that people do in fact have the power to manipulate their fate; Based on the good or
bad choices they ve made in the past. The novel Silas Marner by George Eliot , helps to explain this.
Through the actions of three major characters Dunstan Cass, Godfrey Cass, and Silas Marner. These
characters were chosen because they all made good or bad choices throughout the novel with a clear
punishment or reward; Or in other words these characters show how they control their fate based on

on the good or bad choices you make. Obviously, Godfrey s choices determined his fate. Godfrey had
the choice to tell the truth. He was given this opportunity during breakfast with his father. Instead of
telling his father the real reason why he gave the rent money to Dunstan, he says, I wouldn t have
spent the money myself, but Dunsey bothered me, and I was a fool and let him have it (69). He could

the creation of new religions popping up throughout the centuries, there comes with them some heavy

According to Wiseman, Wicca is a way of life to it s many followers, it s a philosophy. It is a unique
religion, in that the hierarchy found in most practiced religions today is not present. It lacks the tiered

initiated into priesthood, much to the contrasting variation found in Catholicism. Once someone is
introduced to a circle or coven, people are encouraged to develop their own individualistic ideals and
style of worship. In fact, it is found to be immoral to impose beliefs upon one another, but rather
everyone should create their own and embrace them. This is based on the Wiccan Golden Rule, found

The availability of a system can be expressed through this calculation:
(Actual uptime)/(Expected uptime) ×100%
The result of this calculation is expressed in terms of the number of 9s (see Table A1). This calculation
shows the availability percentage, which is often expressed in number 9 s, and what it means for an
organization in terms of possible uptime or downtime. Because of the nature of the business that
CASH supports, it is imperative for them to have system availability of close to 99.999% (Tuttle,
2012).
In a volatile and technology dependent business climate, downtime, whether it is planned or
unplanned would cost a fortune to the company (Quintero, Finnes, Herrera, Shankar, Sigel, 2010, p.
1). Due to the firm s global presence and business operations being held 24 hours and six days per
week, the downtime during peak hours could mean the loss of revenue for the firm in terms of
millions of dollars per minute. In order to prevent any type of data or connection loss for their clients,
a set of High Availability and Disaster Recovery (HADR) must be in place for a firm like CASH
(Quintero et al., 2010).

Disaster Recovery is the process an organization uses to recover access to their software, data, and/or

Different Types Of Nerve Cells
Nerve Cells
Nerve cells are crucial to all living organisms because they serve as a messenger in the different parts
of the body. There are three different types of nerve cells (neurons) sensory neurons, motor neurons,
and association neurons. All three of these types come together in order to allow the body to function
properly. Without neurons the body wouldn t have the ability to know when there is illumination or
warmth in or outside the body, know how to perform functions in the other parts of the body (such as
muscles),or have these two things work together to know what the other is doing.
Sensory neurons have importance because they allow your body to have the five physical senses,

One important sensory neuron that everyone is very familiar with is tastebuds. Tastebuds are
extremely sensitive neurons that have a built in pH detector. That is why the more acidic something is
the more sour it taste and when sodium ions increase this is what makes food have a salty taste.
Sensory neurons are crucial to the body for maintaining homeostasis by providing organisms with
skills that we need.
The second kind of neuron that is also very important to organisms is motor neurons. Motor neurons
are responsible for the movement of organisms. If our body didn t form motor neurons we wouldn t
have the ability to talk, eat, life, drink, walk, and any other kind of simple movements. According to
Daniel Liden, a freelance journalist, motor neurons directly or indirectly controls the contraction or
relaxation of muscles (Liden, para 1.) Motor neurons are also sometimes referred to as efferent
neurons. Motor neurons bring information made by the central nervous system to the different muscles
in the body. There are three different kinds of motor neurons. The three different kinds are somatic,
specific visceral, and general visceral. Somatic motor neurons are used for forming skeletal muscles
and movement in the body. Specific visceral motor neurons are important in vertebrates for the
movement of neck muscles and facial muscles. Specific visceral neurons are important to sea animals
for the movement of gills. The last kind of motor neurons, general visceral, are

Secretariat
The movie Secretariat was released in 2010 and is based on a unbelievable true story. Penny Chenery
inherits the horses from the family farm in Virginia when her mother and father pass away. As the
farm struggles financially, Penny raises the colt that she won in the coin toss with Ogden Phipps, one
of the richest men in America. In all her efforts to save the farm, her colt Secretariat, won the Triple
Crown (Wallace, R). The unforgettable last scene of the most important one in the film. The focus is
on the final race of the Triple Crown, the Belmont Stakes. If the horse were to lose this race, Penny
would lose the family farm. The camera focuses mainly on the horses in this scene. Its starts focused
on the riders in the starting gate. The hush falls over the crown, therefore emphasizing the dramatic
effect. The camera then moves to the track as the horses come out of the starting gate. A following
shot is used as the horses make their way around the track. Every now and again the camera focuses
on the actors in the grandstands to show their nervousness during the event. Multiple times a hand
held shot was used on both the horse and the rider. The film makers strapped a camera to the under
side of the horse as well as the rider s chest. These shots are nothing less than unique but since the
movement of the horse is so dramatic, it is difficult for the camera to get a good and clear shot.

Dialogue And Film Distice In Trevor Nunn s Twelfth Night
People doing crazy things while they are in love is not a recently developed concept, in fact this
concept has been present in society for centuries. I bet even some of the people in this room right now
have done, or thought of doing something crazy or foolish to impress there crush. But because your
common senses kicked in, you made a choice not to do the crazy thing you thought of doing to make
sure your crush liked you and you were brought back into the real world. In today s society with all
the social media and Television programming it isn t uncommon for you to discover an instance where
a person has done something that would be considered crazy by most. In programs such as Catfish
where people are found to be having a long lasting relationship ... Show more content on

Nunn uses similar dialogue and film discourse to construct the argument in the scene which was
analysed before. Malvolio is seen on his knee in front of Olivia in the beginning of the scene,
rereading lines from the forged letter in front of her whilst attempting to hold onto her. Meanwhile
Olivia tries to escape his madness but is unsuccessful as Malvolio still hangs onto her whilst
continuing to read to her in a happy and joyful tone. Nunn uses film discourse in this scene to position
the audience to think that Malvolio is a madman when Olivia says This is a midsummer madness. This
dialogue causes the audience to believe that Malvolio is crazy in love with Olivia and will continue to
do bizarre things for love. In the next shot, Nunn uses camera angles to show Malvolio blowing a kiss
to Olivia which reinforces Malvolio s ridiculousness in his attempts to woo Olivia. This idea is
exemplified through Nunn s use of music in the final shots of the scene where the music is silly and
further portrays Malvolio as a madman. Through Trevor Nunn s use of film discourse, he constructs
the argument that people will do bizarre things as a result of being in

What Is The Purpose Of Mlk Letter From Birmingham Jail
MLK Jr s letter is intended to reach the white people, who he was discriminated from. MLK Jr. is
showing how it is like living life while being discriminated by writing the letter from Birmingham
Jail. He wants to show how the discriminated people are feeling and being treated. If it reaches the
white people, they might understand how it is like to be treated unfairly.
The purpose of the letter is to show what it is like when being treated differently. He also wants
changes so he expresses other people s feelings
He wants racism to stop and for the black people to be accepted. He also wants the black people to be
treated the same as the white people are being treated. The black people should have the same equality
as the white people.

Justice Incest Combo Deal
The Justice+Incest Combo Deal (Limited Time Discount)
The concept of justice is one of many in the society the world has grown to be. Justice, by definition,
is the just behavior or treatment. A concern for justice, peace, and genuine respect for people, one
might say. It is something that has been passed down generation to generation around the world, a
moral concept that holds together the lawful side of humanity from falling back to the savage ways of
the Earth. Oh goodness gracious, no, we wouldn t want that. It imprints into our mind that justice is
something like a transcendent will that deals punishment to the wrong and prevails with the good. We
as the United States have gone and put so much belief into the concept of Justice that we gave it the
very being of a woman in a white robe holding a balance, giving us the feeling she ... Show more

Yet, is justice worth seeking throughout all means and do s to make it deal it s worth to those who are
deemed evil by this entity? Even when you are deemed evil and seek this very justice to give you any
kind of sign of the truth? That is the drive behind Oedipus Rex, a supposed framed man who goes
seeking justice and finding the truth behind the accusations on his self.
The play Oedipus Rex follows the story of a man of the same name who tries to seek out the truth
behind the murder of the former king to ridden of a cursed plague in their city. As things progress, he
is very determined to find the killer for the very sake of justice, but of course, this being an old play of
the past, there is always some drama that screws over the main character into darkness. When he tries
to consult an oracle to see where the killer laid hidden, they have a heated discussion that leads to the
oracle to promptly say that Oedipus himself was the killer. That

E214 TMA01 Essay
E214 TMA01
This essay highlights and discusses models of disability reflected in two separate articles (Appendices
A and B). I will identify the models of disability they represent. Both have been recently featured in
the Guardian newspaper and are stories on disabled people.
Appendix A was reported some years ago but continues to evoke opinion and has featured again
recently due to a similar case. Ashley is a profoundly disabled girl, who at six years old has a mental
age of 3 months. Her parents decided on controversial treatment for her, as her condition would not
improve. Ashley has undergone surgery to remove her uterus and breasts, and for three years she
received hormone treatment to keep her weight and height low. It ... Show more content on

This Rights model, more specifically Ashley s human rights is very present in the article. It could be
argued that she doesn t need or require the treatment to medically improve her life. The Equal and
Human Rights Commission (2008) suggest that human rights are the freedoms that we are all entitled
to as a result of our shared humanity. I understand that she is unable to speak and is unlikely to have
the mental capacity to make that decision but does that automatically transfer that decision to her
parents? The United Nations Convention on the Rights for a Child (1989) plays an important part of
the Rights model for this text as I feel it both supports and opposes the parent s actions. Article 23
concentrates on children s disability by stating that Children who have any kind of disability have the
right to special care and support, as well as all the rights in the Convention, so that they can live full
and independent lives. This could support Ashley s parent s motives. However, Article 3 states The
best interests of children must be the primary concern in making decisions that may affect them. All
adults should do what is best for children. When adults make decisions, they should think about how
their decisions will affect children. In this case are the parents doing what s best for Ashley or
themselves? This is a good example where the Rights model can get itself in a twist! The

Capital Punishment And Its Effects On Society
Capital punishment has become an increasing controversial topic recently. I believe that capital
punishment is unethical and it does not benefit society as a whole, causing more harm than good by
forcefully killing another. It is also hypocritical because it condemns killing by killing. We murder
people who murder people to show that murder is wrong. We as a society should not have the right to
take someone s life, without their consent, no matter what they have done. Instead of sentencing these
possible felons to death, I believe that by giving them the option to face life without parole, we not
only eliminate the risk of irreversible damage, but we let them face their consequences in a less
barbaric way that is ethical and justifiable and does not damage the society as a whole. I also
understand that forcing someone to live and die in prison could be considered more inhumane and
cruel than the death penalty, as it could just be considered as prolonging their suffering. Instead of just
completely removing the death penalty and replacing it with life imprisonment, I believe that Capital
punishment could be made ethical and benefit society as a whole if it gave the possible convicts an
option for choosing either the death penalty through lethal injection or life in prison without parole. It
gives the convicts the option to choose how they would like to face their consequences and we as a
society do not need to get unnecessary blood on our hands by killing someone against

  • 2. Stereotypes Speech is much like the fashions in clothing. Most of us dress according to the style of the day. The shoes we wear and the shirts we put on usually what is considered fashionable. If you choose to ignore the understood dress rules set by society, than your chances of being accepted become slim. In the same manner, when you ignore the majority s methods of speech, you become less accepted for it. If you buy a cool Tommy Hilfiger shirt, nobody looks at you any less for giving in to the standard instead of wearing a pink and orange poke a dotted shirt like you might have wanted to. You have not degraded yourself for conforming, but instead have opened opportunities for an audience. Just the same, when you change your manner of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... When reading Anzaldua s essay, I could not help thinking how ridiculous it is for someone to be prejudged based solely on the language they speak. She states If a person, Chicana or Latina, has a low estimation of my native tongue, she also has a low estimation of me. This is not how things should work. Stereotypes control too much of our perceptions of different people. Knowing that people rely on stereotypes to judge unfamiliar people, I do not believe that it is wrong to change our language to fit into another situation. If we change our methods of speech, then we are more likely to be heard and have our ideas appreciated. In the movie Educating Rita, Rita is a hair dresser who speaks the working class dialect in Britain. Upon enrolling in a university, she realizes that she is very out of place and tries on many different identities and languages to fit in. Although no one ever comes out and ridicules her for speaking the way she does, there is always the pressure looming over her to conform to the rest of the students in their way of speaking. It is important that an American trying to do business in Saudi Arabia understand the hierarchy so they don t offend anybody. Uncertainty Avoidance describes a society s comfort with uncertainty (Ball 100). The Saudi Arabian culture prefers to avoid uncertainty, meaning they feel the need to have strict laws and rules, and expect to have clear procedures to maintain the status quo. (Ball 100). An American trying to do business in Saudi Arabia will need to remember that change is not welcomed so innovation may be resisted (The Hofstede Center). Masculinity femininity dimension describes the gap between the roles of men and women in the culture (Ball 100). Saudi Arabia is a masculine society meaning that both men are typically more assertive and competitive. Although there aren t as many women working in Saudi Arabia, the women that do work are considered to be assertive and competitive, just like their male counterparts. An American would need to keep this in mind in regards to management because the culture expects management to be decisive and assertive (The Hofstede Center). Awards can be given for things such as: achievements in sports, obtaining a high grade point average in school, or even more serious things like the Nobel Prize. Most often, awards are given to people who exceed expectations and go above and beyond the requirements set before them. • 10. Types Of Stress And Loss Everyone at any given age is faced with different types of stress and loss. As human beings we continuously evolve onto the next phase of our lives, which bring on new challenges and stress. Ziegler (2014) indicated that it s a reminder that adult development encompasses both growth and decline (Ziegler, 2014). Unfortunately, not everyone is equipped to deal with stress, consequently resorting to maladaptive coping skills, such as: self indulging in over eating, smoking, and drinking alcohol. Likewise, when dealing with loss, there are maladaptive coping skills, which are similar as the ones described for stress, but also some may lash out or avoidance. On the other hand, others adaptively and resiliently bounce back (Zeigler, 2014). Pollack (1988) stated, no matter how difficult the situation, I will eventually find a way to cope with it (Pollack, 1988, p. 17). Pollack, is the example of a person who through optimism, a good support network, resilience, and stress related growth, she was able to get through stressful time by coping with the loss successfully (Ziegler, 2014). In 1988, Pollack shares her own experience of losing her husband to colon cancer and how she managed to get herself and family through it. In Like Mayflies in a Stream , Gilgamesh is merely a scary person who appears in the story here or there rather than being the protagonist. Instead, Shamhat is the main person that the story focuses on, but the book is imprecise on one hero of the entire story. There are numerous characters that could reflect hero aspects such as going on a quest, having another to help guide them, or facing trials. Shamhat is the older sister in her family, yet her younger brother Geshtu gets to make all of the decisions for the family. The scenarios in this book are contemplative of how women are viewed and treated compared to the men of society. Patriarchy is correct by their standards, and having women in any sort of important role is almost nonexistent. Due to this condescending view, we can understand why it would be difficult to have Shamhat as the hero in this story. If men are the superior ones, wouldn t it make sense to have a man as the hero? In the event that a woman was a hero in this story, it may make readers predict that the entire society will change their outlook on women by the end of the story. On the other hand, others may think that Roberts was trying too hard to modernize this epic. Health Care Determine what correlations can be made regarding the increase in population and the public perception of the health insurance system. Be sure to present your thoughts in a credible manner that is non offensive yet factual. The population has been steadily increasing in the United States since its founding. For a long period the US led the industrialized world in its fertility rate however, though this rate has slowed in recent generations with Americans having few babies per household, immigration into the US has become one of the main drivers of the expanding population (Wang, 2013). Furthermore, the population is also steadily aging and therefore often requires more in terms of health care services. All of these factors contribute to a trend in which health care accessibility is becoming more and more limited in all types of coverage s. For example, those who have private health insurance may be faced with higher out of pocket costs and limited services to attempt to control costs while those without private insurance could be potentially excluded from service all together. One study found that in 2007 nearly two thirds of all bankruptcies were related to medical expenses; a trend that has been rapidly increasing since the turn of the century (McCarthy, 2009). It is reasonable to believe that such trends correlate to a negative perception of the health insurance system. Consider the health trends in the U.S. over the last two decades and make some ... He picked me up from the airport in his broken down Toyota Carolla and took me to my hotel. Rameel was a shabby middle aged man, with a strong filipino accent. I understood what he was saying fifty percent of the time, but the other fifty percent was him making unintelligible noises. We drove through the poverty stricken city, and what I thought were colorful piles of trash, were actually mounds of makeshift houses that were made out of boxes and umbrellas. I looked closer, and I could see the destitute families, outcasted by society, finding refuge in these piles of trash. The vehicles on the road, which consisted of mostly knock off brands of major car manufactures and tricycles, were lined nose to tail right down the busy street. Exhaust fumes belched, and car horns blared. The highway became a giant parking lot. As we sat in the car, we were approached by a half naked child, who looked like he just got out of a fight. • 26. Man Carrying Thing By Wallace Stevens September 11,2001 was one of the saddest days in American history. As everyone knows, September 11, 2001 was the day that shook the world. It didn t only affect the US but everyone around the world. The people in those buildings were not only Americans but people of every nationality. I don t think that one person knew exactly how to react or think. This tragedy is something that should have never happened from the start. However, it did. Most of America can tell you that they remember exactly what they were doing and where they were on September 11th. Unfortunately, for kids my age, we were just too young to remember the devastating events that happened on this day. Even though it may seem as though many people lost their lives in these tragic events, we have to remember that hundreds and thousands were saved. However, weeks after thousands were estimated dead. In the poem Man carrying thing we can see that Wallace Stevens is basically saying take your focus from the secondary to the primary. With the Twin Towers, nobody wanted to accept that it happened and people jumped to their death but we had to realize and accept it. In conclusion, we can see that Melinda Hoffman used many objects and symbolism to represent a terrible tragedy that happened. If you take the time and observe, modernism is all over this sculpture. This statement was said by Zaphod to Trillian in the Improbability Drive prototype ship, the Heart of Gold. Two hitchhikers came aboard the Heart of Gold, and Zaphod just continued to watch this news about him, not giving a care about the two hitchhikers. This last message, So long and thanks for all the fish which again misunderstood by humans as the dolphins just trying to do a stunt, was the least the dolphins can do for the doomed humans by thanking them for the fish the humans fed to them after every stunt they made. After this, the humans never cracked the message of the dolphins, and they never knew that the Earth is coming to an end until it did. The meaning of these words within the context of the story is simply that there were living beings on Earth and outside of Earth that was capable of communicating with humans, although they couldn t understand it or haven t acquired the capacity to listen to it such as the warning given by the Vogons of the demolition of Earth. In real life, this statement can be thought of how people leave others when they ve got what they wanted from them. It is famous as well as notorious even with today s high standards. The movie is about a secretary, Marion, who embezzles $40,00 from a client of her employer. She goes on the run and ends up staying at a very remote and creepy hotel. There she meets Norman Bates, a man who seems to be under a lot of control of his mother. Marion ends up being murdered in the famous shower scene by Norman s mother, however, at the end we end up finding out that the mother was actually Norman who had developed a double personality of his mother. While this movie s story and plot are outstanding to stay the least, the movie s success also had a lot to do with the sound used within in key scenes. The sound also helped play a major role in the movie s themes, which I believe to fear, and guilt. I think that the music used in throughout the film corresponded with the theme overall in some way, shape or form. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The focus in the clinical practice would be to reduce health care disparities and address the barriers that affect the individual s health care outcomes. The most important strategy to promote health education is to be culturally sensitive, which includes as a clinician to have knowledge with social cultural, religious, healthcare issues, and remove barriers that impede the individual s heath care (Zou and Parry 2012). Another strategy to facilitate health education is to remove language barriers. To improve health education with language barriers effectively would be to use a medically trained translator and not a family member. A clinician has to remind themselves that they are there for the patient and their needs. Using a medically trained translator, a clinician can be confident that the patient is receiving all of the information, able to ask and answer questions, and can feel confident that the patient understands all the health information and what would need to be addressed with further education. Trust is another health education barrier. Many African Americans are reluctant to participate in health promotion programs due to mistrust in the health care community (Butler Ajibade, Booth, and Burwell 2012). As a clinician, to establish trust is an extremely important element to successfully promote health education in the African American community. To remove the trust barrier ... The Equal and Human Rights Commission (2008) suggest that human rights are the freedoms that we are all entitled to as a result of our shared humanity. I understand that she is unable to speak and is unlikely to have the mental capacity to make that decision but does that automatically transfer that decision to her parents? Instead of sentencing these possible felons to death, I believe that by giving them the option to face life without parole, we not only eliminate the risk of irreversible damage, but we let them face their consequences in a less barbaric way that is ethical and justifiable and does not damage the society as a whole. I also understand that forcing someone to live and die in prison could be considered more inhumane and cruel than the death penalty, as it could just be considered as prolonging their suffering. Instead of just completely removing the death penalty and replacing it with life imprisonment, I believe that Capital punishment could be made ethical and benefit society as a whole if it gave the possible convicts an option for choosing either the death penalty through lethal injection or life in prison without parole. It gives the convicts the option to choose how they would like to face their consequences and we as a society do not need to get unnecessary blood on our hands by killing someone against ...
