This document discusses regular verbs in English and how their past tense forms are constructed. Regular verbs form their past tense by either adding "-ed" or "-d" to the base verb. For verbs ending in a single consonant plus "y", the "y" is changed to "i" before adding "-ed". Verbs with one syllable ending in a single vowel plus single consonant double the final consonant before adding "-ed". Examples are provided to illustrate forming the past tense of regular verbs according to these rules.
