Fully narrated documentaries include voiceover narration to provide context and explanation. Fly on the wall documentaries observe events without commentary, aiming to give the audience a direct perspective. Mixed documentaries combine interviews, narration, and footage. Self-reflexive documentaries draw attention to the filmmaker and their process. Docu-dramas incorporate recreations and fictional elements, while docu-soaps simply observe people's everyday lives without being explorative. Each type is exemplified with documentary titles
The document discusses the negative effects of meat production and consumption on the environment and economy. It notes that over 90% of grains are used for cattle feed, and producing 1 kilo of meat requires 16 kilos of grain. Reducing meat production by just 10% could nourish an additional 60 million people. It also mentions that fabric waste pollutes ponds more than urban sewerage, and vegetarian products cost less than half as much as beef to produce.
This document discusses different types of narrative structures for documentaries. It describes single stranded narratives that focus on one subject throughout. Multi-stranded narratives cover multiple subjects to provide broader context. Linear narratives present events chronologically to build suspense, while non-linear narratives are not chronological to create mystery. Circular stranded narratives use the last scene first to generate questions that are then answered. Open narratives allow audiences to draw their own conclusions, while closed narratives clearly present a single exposition and answer any questions.
