Description
The Project comprises the construction of area sewerage and trunk sewers for the
southern area of Al Khor. The works include the following:
Construction of approximately 31 km of Foul Sewer (VC pipe) network by open cut
trench with diameters varying from 200mm and 400mm.
Construction of approximately 7.5 km of Trunk Sewer (jacking pipe) by Micro tunneling
for pipe diameters varying from 400mm and 800mm.
Construction of approximately 1200 GRP lined Cast in-situ concrete manholes, 185 of
which will be located in shafts (very deep) used for Micro tunneling.
Construction of approximately 1,700 house connections (existing 130 & future
1,555Nr) including 20km of 150mm vitrified clay pipeline. Reinstatement work for
approximately 16Km of minor and major roads.
