Stands for "Digital Subscriber Line." DSL is a communications medium used to transfer digital signals over standard telephone lines. Along with cable Internet, DSL is one of the most popular ways ISPs provide broadband Internet access.
When you make a telephone call using a landline, the voice signal is transmitted using low frequencies from 0 Hz to 4 kHz. This range, called the "voiceband," only uses a small part of the frequency range supported by copper phone lines. Therefore, DSL makes use of the higher frequencies to transmit digital signals, in the range of 25 kHz to 1.5 MHz. While these frequencies are higher than the highest audible frequency (20 kHz), then can still cause interference during phone conversations. Therefore, DSL filters or splitters are used to make

Digital Subscriber Line is a data communications technology that transmits data faster over the simple copper telephone lines. The signal encoding of xDSL technology is illustrated by a set of modulation techniques. This journal will overview the xDSL technology and will discuss subjects on the efficiency of these modulation techniques.

The AC and DC bridge both are used for measuring the unknown parameter of the circuit. The AC bridge measures the unknown impedance of the circuit. The DC bridge measures the unknown resistance of the circuit.
The Wien bridge is a type of bridge circuit that was developed by Max Wien in 1891. The bridge consists of four resistors and two capacitors. At the time of the Wien bridge's invention, bridge circuits were a common way of measuring component values by comparing them to known values.
For most of us, our name existed even before we did.
In anticipation of our arrival, our parents went through an ultra stressful process of narrowing down dozens of potential names until they chose the perfect one.
Luckily they did, because whatever your name is, it has followed you throughout your entire life; and in some cases, people may have heard of your name before they’ve ever met you.
When it comes to how to name an app, it’s of similar importance as naming a child. The name of your app will follow your brand forever, and in many cases, potential users will hear the name before they ever actually use your app.

Are you an NRI and aiming to come back to India to pursue graduation from the top-tier colleges of India?
Then, you’re halfway there. Being an NRI, your top preference would be IITs and NITs of India. If that's the case, you must know the fee structure of both the IITs, NITs (under DASA scheme), Centrally Funded Institutions and State-Level Govt. Engineering Colleges.
Note: According to the latest update from DASA, from session 2021-22 onwards, JEE Rank is made mandatory for NRI/PIO/OCI Students to be eligible for DASA & CIWG Schemes. Hence, 2020-21 will be the last year when SAT 2 scores will be considered for DASA/CIWG Scheme.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.
Embracing GenAI - A Strategic ImperativePeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

Overview of DSL
There are a variety of flavors when it comes to Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) broadband Internet
connection. DSL is a technology that brings high bandwidth Internet connection to homes and
businesses over ordinary copper telephone lines. DSL technology allows data transmission at speeds
much fasterthanthe bestavailable analogand digital modems. In general, most DSL connections offer
downloadspeedsbetween5to35Mbps and uploadspeedsbetween1to 10Mbps. We'll explainafewof
the variety of DSL connections below.

The HDSL providesasymmetricconnection,thatis,upstreamspeedsanddownstreamspeedsare the
same,and range from1.544Mbps to 2.048Mbps at a distance of 12,000–15,000 feet.Symmetric
connectionsare more useful inapplicationslike videoconferencing, where datasentupstreamisas

IDSL - ISDN Digital SubscriberLine
The ISDN Digital SubscriberLine providesupto144 kbpstransmissionspeedsata distance of 18,000

advantage isthat, unlike ISDN,thisisan‘alwayson’connection.
SDSL - SymmetricDigital SubscriberLine
SDSL supportssymmetric(equal downstreamandupstream) datatransmissionsupto1.54Mbps.
VDSL - VeryHigh Bit-rate Digital SubscriberLine
VDSL isthe fastestof all xDSL flavorsandprovidestransmissionratesof 13–52Mbps downstreamand
1.5–2.3Mbps upstreamovera single copper-pairwire,ata distance of 1,000–4,500 feetfromthe service

VDSL2 - VeryHighBit-rate Digital SubscriberLine 2
VDSL2 isfasterthan VDSL andprovidestransmissionratesupto100Mbps at longerdistances.

Disadvantagesof DSL
One of the majordisadvantagesof DSLis thatit is distance-sensitive.The furtheryourhome isfromyour

distance forDSL is about18,000 feet(3.4 miles).
Additionally,the qualityof yourhome'swiringcanaffectyourbandwidth.WithDSL,youshoulduse a

Lastly,DSL has a lowuploadspeed.Formostthat onlyaccessthe Internettowatch movies,listento
