- 5 blocks building with 17 storey
height
-Total of 800 units of room
Client’s Objective

VM Objectives:
Objective 1: Maximising Floor Efficiency
● Resort will be rent out
● More usable spaces = more profit
● Keep construction costs generally the same
Objective 2: Balancing Capital Costs & Lifecycle Costs
● Client is planning to operate the resort
● A slightly higher capital costs may be justified with a lower
operation cost

are used as the value management tool to establish the
materials used for this project.

- We have chosen ceramic tiles as our floor finishes and as for our ceiling
finishes, we have decided to use plasterboard ceiling.
- Even though ceramic tiles has the highest score, we did not adopt it as
our finishes as it is not suitable to be applied to the entire apartment.
The client is also not fond of flakes finishes. Therefore we have
selected wallpaper as our wall finishes.
