How to lose a project in 5 ways is a telling of scenarios and examples of 5 core activities present in a project that influence its outcomes. Roles, Communication, Tools, Testing and Documentation.
This session provides perspective from both the customer and the consultant experience, for customers who may be starting their salesforce journey it provides and checklist and insight into what they should expect when engaging with a consultant. For the consultant that has experienced one or many projects, it gives insight into the position of a customer, nostalgia for past project experiences and reinforces already established best practices.
This is for the consultant, customer and end-user to understand each other's position and expectations when starting a project to ensure the project's success.
If we all keep each other in check with these 5 core activities, we create success with a better project environment and the salesforce ohana that we strive for.

A Project Manager must know the status of a given project at all tim.pdfpasqualealvarez467
A Project Manager must know the status of a given project at all times. Software projects can be
challenging to assess, as you may not have a good way to measure project status. What does it
mean if a team has completed 90% of the code? Does that mean that the project is 90%
complete?
Place yourself in the role of an executive in a software development firm in charge of numerous
projects. You must be able to assess the health of each project and determine when a project is in
trouble. Think about the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that can help you know how a
project is progressing.
Describe one or two indicators that you believe are most important for determining the overall
health of the project. Justify why these are the most important. What indicators would you rely
on next for projects where your initial indicators are out of range?
In your response to a student’s selection, indicate the next two indicators you would recommend
that they consider, and explain why.
Solution
PROJECT MANAGEMENT:
What does it mean if a team has completed 90% of the code? Does that mean that the project is
90% complete?
No, this is just a part of the project. There are many things involved on daily basis to keep the
project running smooth.
As I am working in Software firm, let me explain the details what happens once the project came
to a software firm.
Initially, the sales and management team put lot of hard word to get the project by giving
presentation and participating in biding by quoting less than the competitors. After all these there
are agreements on deliverable between two parties.
For a company to deliver project there should be frame work, quality process like QMS (Quality
Management system) which are having the ISO standards processes to deliver the project with
world class service to their customers.
The project start with the providing cost effective solution to the problem that our customer is
facing. We have to provide the software solution to their problem, by gathering requirements and
giving the solution. Once all these are set, the project will go into the development phase.
Let come to the point, Key performance indicator (KPI).
To run the project smoothly, our company should have a pre-defined framework. This
framework should be in such a way that, if any new project comes into our firm. It would be like
plug- play type. So there are some key factors/teams which are defined in that frame work will
help to monitor the health and status of the project simultaneously.
What are those factors which are related to KPI?
These are two teams who play a prominent role in our organisation to keep the project healthy
and delivering the world class services to their customers.
Project Management team will cover the health checks of the projects which they are handling.
What exactly this team will try to get out of this health check? How frequently these checks will
be conducted?
Project check up will take few days to evaluate the how well it is pe.

Software Implementation Portfolio Project
Abstract/Executive summary:
The purpose of this project is to implement new software into the company to increase productivity. The company uses its current software to create logos, labels, and many other things for large companies. The other goals are to update the protection on the software because in the past there have been a few problems with the security of the software and the information on the software. Another important goal is to have the computers and memory updated to work more efficiently that before. The software has been slow and has not been able to keep up with the new graphics needed for the current projects. The software will crash and then be down for days or longer. This is causing loss of customers and over all bad for the company.
The overall goal for this project is for the new software to be installed, working properly, and producing the power needed to create the projects for the company. I, as the project manager have decided to do agile methodology for the project. There have been multiple projects prior to this one done the same way and it seemed to go well for the company. The project is set to start August eight, so in just a few days and everything is going as planned. The deadline for this project is December twelfth. The project should be about one hundred days long from begging to end. The budget for this project is two hundred fifty thousand dollars and it is being estimated at just over two twenty-four thousand dollars. There is a continuity budget of twenty thousand dollars.
Work Breakdown Structure
Activity/Network Diagram:
Due to space the rest of the Network diagram will be submitted in MS project form. To view critical path, logical relationships, lead/lag, and ES/EF/LS/LF will be easier to view in MS project as well.
Schedule and Budget:
To look at the schedule and budget more in depth and to view the rest of it please view microsoft project.
Change Management Plan:
This project will be an agile project methodology. Since this projec is agile methodology there will be a lot of change and will need to be processes in place to manage the changes. One important tool that will be used to keep up with changes is a change request form. This form will help state what is needed and why and all of the details for the change. Anther important tool is managing the triple constraint of the scope, budget, and quality of the project. When changes come these things will change too. Manging these things can help keep the project from risks and other problems.
The process that will be used for this project is the John Kotters eight-step change process. It consists of eight steps to guide and lead change in a project. The first step is creating urgency. This is basically like triaging the changes by determinng which ones are most important and need to happen sooner than less important ch ...

Project Scope
Project Description
This app would provide a platform where people can use their personal vehicles for moving services for customers in their geological area. The potential customers would be in a situation where the objects they need to get from one place to another are way too big for their own vehicles. This is where our service is applicable. Our app would allow for these customers to make an appointment with a driver based on their objects’ dimensions.
Our app makes it affordable for a lower income demographic and college students, specifically, to move larger objects between apartments or even buy large furniture or objects at stores and get them home. It is our goal to make it possible for people with limited budgets to have our services at a discounted price.
Preliminary Features
· This app should have scheduling capabilities available that are easy to navigate
· The ability to upload the dimensions of the object(s) needed to be moved
· The application needs to be able to make an appointment with a driver once a suitable one is available and chosen
· A flat rate should be calculated based on the dimensions of the item and information should be made available to both driver and customer
· The drivers should be categorized as available only if they are compatible with the entered dimensions of the item
· An interactive geographical map should be available on the app and only shows within 30 miles of the customer’s location
· A payment function should be available on the app and is expected to accept: PayPal, debit cards, and Venmo
Exclusion List
· This app does not have a corresponding website and is not compatible with HTML
· This app will be used locally and will not be globalized in the near future
· This app will not be used as a taxi service at any time
· This application is not a store and therefore does not have vendors selling goods

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).

Securing your Kubernetes cluster_ a step-by-step guide to success !KatiaHIMEUR1
Today, after several years of existence, an extremely active community and an ultra-dynamic ecosystem, Kubernetes has established itself as the de facto standard in container orchestration. Thanks to a wide range of managed services, it has never been so easy to set up a ready-to-use Kubernetes cluster.
However, this ease of use means that the subject of security in Kubernetes is often left for later, or even neglected. This exposes companies to significant risks.
In this talk, I'll show you step-by-step how to secure your Kubernetes cluster for greater peace of mind and reliability.
Kubernetes & AI - Beauty and the Beast !?! @KCD Istanbul 2024Tobias Schneck
As AI technology is pushing into IT I was wondering myself, as an “infrastructure container kubernetes guy”, how get this fancy AI technology get managed from an infrastructure operational view? Is it possible to apply our lovely cloud native principals as well? What benefit’s both technologies could bring to each other?
Let me take this questions and provide you a short journey through existing deployment models and use cases for AI software. On practical examples, we discuss what cloud/on-premise strategy we may need for applying it to our own infrastructure to get it to work from an enterprise perspective. I want to give an overview about infrastructure requirements and technologies, what could be beneficial or limiting your AI use cases in an enterprise environment. An interactive Demo will give you some insides, what approaches I got already working for real.

Ux challenge
1. Building site works monitoring
The main target is to make the construction processes easy where the different works are
defined and each worker or building manager report daily about the finished jobs.
The Supervisor enables and assigns the tasks to the people in charge. They manage the
tasks until they are finished completely. Then the Supervisor must approve them.
It is designed to construction related activities in which the runtime is quite long, one or
two years and we need to monitor the progress of the different tasks, which can take
from one day to several weeks to be finished.
It achieves two important objectives: to settle regularly payments for subcontractor
companies and to know the investment progression about the final cost. The main benefit
SAP Fiori UX Design and Build Challenge – Juan Sto.Tomas
is to give support to the activities for
monitoring the amount due for payment in
workplace.
The Key concepts of application are:
• People
• Trades
• Tasks
PERSONA
People who are using the app are: the building
manager from the contractor company and the
people in charge from each subcontractor
company.
2. Building site works monitoring
SAP Fiori UX Design and Build Challenge – Juan Sto.Tomas
TRADES
Different tasks which are done by skilled workers. Each trade has a person in charge, called subcontractor, who joins in all the trade
related activities.
TASKS
The tasks stand for independent work units which are done by one or several workers from the same trade and can take from one
day to weeks long to be finished. All these tasks have a deadline set previously between the contractor and the subcontractor. The
tasks have only one trade subcontractor assigned and they are rated for each trade in each room, apartment or defined work area.
3. Building site works monitoring
SAP Fiori UX Design and Build Challenge – Juan Sto.Tomas
BUSINESS PROCESSES
During the contract negotiation between the contractor and the subcontractor the total cost of the task is settled for each working
area and it´s paid fortnightly or monthly. By the way for each task a percentage of the total cost is assigned. All together must get
to the 100%.
The subcontractor must begin and finish the task on time, and at the same time keep the constructor informed of the task progress.
The contractor checks the tasks, look over to be sure that everything is well done and the time progress is appropriated.
It is very important to foreground the work quality done by the subcontractor. It is handwork and cannot be valued by strict and
objective rules. Sometimes the contractor doesn´t approve the work and the task must be repeated, under the contractor
indications.
By the end of each period the contractor checks the achievements raised, completed tasks to the end or partly and define its value
in order to pay the subcontractor for that work period.
USER CENTRIC AND SIMPLE
Until now, the manager building was giving instructions to subcontractors how tasks have to be done. Later, he oversees the work
to ensure tasks were being done as stipulated in the agreement. At the end of the month he estimates jobs value and manages
payment order.
To do this, there is a need to retrieve the last month measurement reports and to be able to calculate progress.
This stuff is done by computer but it can not be easily moved through whole building.
With this app the manager building could get around the working areas to check quality and be doing measurement progress at the
same place and time.
